I'm an Italian citizen who arrived in Canada in September 2008. My spouse and I decided to apply for my Canadian Residence, and we chose Active Professionals after visiting them and reading many of the over 400 testimonials left by their clients as well as noticing that their office walls were full of Thank You cards. The testimonials said the environment was friendly and that the staff was professional and always available. However, as good as they were, the testimonials weren't even close to the truth. The environment was more than friendly, it was like a big family where we were never treated like simple clients but we always felt as if they really cared for us. We were clearly instructed as for what documents we needed to provide for our application, and we were advised about a few useful things that would help speed up the application itself. Everyone was courteous and always available, whether by e-mail or on the phone.I had lots of questions all the time and they always replied with patience. And last, but not least, I got my residence in 6 months (application sent in February 2009, residence received in August 2009), which would be the minimum time required only for the approval. Moreover, Immigration Officers did not ask either for any further documents or for an interview, meaning the application was filed properly and left no doubt whatsoever. By the way, they also prepared our Income Tax Returns at a fraction of the fee normally charged by others. I definitely recommend the services of Active Professionals to all of you. This is my second year of doing taxes with Active Professionals. Last year, they also did few years of tax amendments which I made mistake doing my own. It’s been around one year from the time I last did taxes with them. I was surprised that they remembered my name when they saw me recently. Both years he was willing to offer their service for fee customized to my tax needs. I find him to be knowledge in what he does, I trust him with doing my taxes in the present and in the future. James, April 10, 2017 I would like to write an updated review of Active Professionals. Having stopped doing taxes with Active Professionals for two years, last month I went back to the business only to find a new owner. Initially, I was a little hesitant to work with the new owner, but I'm so glad that I given the new owner a chance to help me with my needs. What the new owner did for me was beyond my expectations. I was filing for business taxes and was going to let him do all the work, but what he offered me was that he will teach me and walk me through on how to do my own taxes. Long story short, the time he took to teach me and the amount he charged me wasn't even close to what he deserved. It took him 3 hours + to teach and walk me through on how to do my own business taxes and he charged me almost similar to what other's would charge for just personal taxes. An extra bonus, I was able to receive a $700 + refund. I'm so glad to have met the new owner. The way I see our meeting wasn't just business, but I also met a friend and possibly someone that I can build a long-term relationship business and personal like. Through our conversations, I can tell the new owner Rhoneil wants to do the right thing for people, honestly and ethically. People don't have to believe in what I say, but I would definitely recommend that people at least go meet Rhoneil, and see for themselves to see if I wrote here is true or not.
