The duck poutine was delicious and we loved the live music ambience. The veggie burger is definitely the best in town! The crisp is very asmr. However, the gnocchi was dry and flavourless, the portion was really less as well. Would recommend to visit for drinks and burgers ????????

Elegant and modern tavern, perfect place to get together with friends. I had the Canadian burger and my boyfriend had the chicken sandwich. Nothing in them was extremely spectacular to rave about but they tasted good. We had a good time. We will definitely be going back to try out more food on the menu! I love the atmosphere that the tavern brings!

Ordered take out tonight and loved the ribs and fries. Unfortunately the coleslaw provided with the meals was very unappetizing. Love the restaurant and food but disappointed by the slaw part of the meal. Neither my partner or I could eat it due to the bland taste and texture. Not sure if it was off or not!

Food was overpriced and 2 of our meals served cold. The steak sandwich at $25 was a bottom halved bun with a measly amount of cut up , lupe warm steak. Very overpriced. The pumpkin gnocchi was tiny and barely warm. Won’t be eating there again

Fantastic smoked olives, one of the best appetizers ever. Very tasty lamb shank with broccoli and beans. Nice amber beer on tap.

Nicely decorated, live music was way too loud. Unable to talk to friends (not sure if its normally that way) we did mention it to our server and she had agreed. The food was mediocre, nothing to rant and rave about. Caesars are $9 each. Small portions. Service was slow due to the business of the restaurant. Friendly waitress though.

Nice place, the kitchen is wide open and clean which is a big plus for me. We had a large group of friends and reserved the back room which felt like having a private dinner party and it was great! Drinks were awesome and they had a nice alcohol free section. Food was like elevated pub style food and it was quite good, though for the price I did expect a bit more, service was a little slow but the place was busy and the servers were excellent.

Casual pub fare in the beautifully renovated Norwood Hotel. Highly recommend reservations as was a full house at 5:30 on a Thursday. Service was slow but friendly and accommodating. I asked for an off menu cocktail (white sangria) and the bartender obliged. Thanks!! I had the fish and chips; excellent tarter sauce and apple slaw was great. Partner had the Tavern burger ???? and gave it two thumbs up. Definitely homemade patty grilled and smoked. My only suggestions would be to add a white sangria for us white winos, malt/regular vinegar (mandatory offering) for the fish n’chip dish AND offer a choice to “poutinify” fries. Great place. Check it out.

A bit overpriced for the food you get, but the atmosphere is worth it. The cocktails are delicious, but rather weak. Definitely not the full pour. The draft is always local and good- I definitely recommend.

I ordered a skip the dishes meal, i got "the wood burger" it was supposed to come with chili, cheese, mayo dijon, bacon tomato and lettuce, i paid extra for the bacon and it came with no chilli. The burger was rare, or medium rare without me requesting it like that. I order from restauraunts frequently and i haven't had anything but well done without ordering other wise. When i called to tell the lady the burger was rare, she said they frequently get calls about that and it isnt dangerous. I said, its not about danger, i like my burgers well done. People in winnipeg, by majority like well done, Thats why its what you get if you dont order other wise. I wouldn't order again because the person who took my call hung up on me when i said they should change the way they cook their food. 1/10.

I've visited this place two times since they've renovated. Food is excellent, their burger has awesome flavor and the smoked wings are excellent. Service was great on both occcasions - very friendly staff. The new renovated space is great and very comfortable for small and large groups. Wife and I had a great time and will be back soon!

Food was ok ... not a place to really watch sports though, one group of 3 large tv's, other areas had the tv's/projectors off and then one streetside bar had tv's smaller than my kid's tv,not ideal to watch a Jets or Bombers game

Went to the tavern for something to eat and a cold beer. Used to be very good place at one time. Was given a menu and a beer. Waitress never came back. Had to even go up to bar to pay my bill. Waitress should pay as much attention to the customer as they do the bartender. Both chatted with him the entire time I was there. I wish I could say my beer was cold. But I can't.

Ordered from them from doordash because they looked fancy and higher class, and had a burger for burger week. Ordered the fire grilled chicken burger because it looked insanely good from the photo and the toppings. Then you get it in your hands and wonder what in Gods name you paid $18 for, iv never in my life felt so scammed from a burger. Their poutine and honey dill Sauce however, was incredible. Our Facebook group decided to have a party here for the Jets first game back since the coronavirus started and it was amazing. The staff were nice and worked hard. The place looks amazing since their renovations. The food was great and the smoked Wings may have been the best wings I've ever had in my life. Really well priced too.

Newly reno’d restaurant. Super cool spot with a great vibe. Service is fantastic and accommodating but the food lacks flavour and the menu needs more variety. Food was cold, even after asking for it to be heated, it still came back cold and my side was missing. Not a lot of dinner options, menu needs some work.

Went for lunch opening on a Friday and it took 30-40 minutes to get our food. Burgers are good, but the meat needs more seasoning, it wasn't very flavourful. The potential is there for greatness. Good service, no issues there.

The place was nice. Pleasant staff. We wanted to try Pauline but it was packed so we were seated in The Wood tavern instead. The food took too long. My boyfriend's food was served cold. We both ordered breakfast. The serving is too small. The "thick sliced bacon" was not thick at all. It was a piece of thinly sliced bacon cut in half. I ordered St B's hash and the "poached eggs" were more like boiled eggs. To add to that, THERE WERE HUGE PIECES OF EGGSHELLS in my poached eggs which I think is unacceptable. We informed our server, when she came back she told us we didn't have to pay for our food. Thank God.

Visited The Wood Tavern for a friend's birthday dinner. Ordered smoked olives, pitcher of sangria to share, The Wood burger with Caesar salad. Had a "Central Perk". One of the best burgers I've ever had, extremely flavourful and Very satisfying, and everything else also far exceeded expectations. Reasonable prices and would Definitely go back the next time I go out. Being a Friday, there was a live musician which was a nice addition. Great updates/renovations, attentive staff. 100% recommend.

This place is definitely needed in the area and replaces the dingy old Norwood tavern that hadn't changed since my parents were kids. Reservations are surprisingly required (hence the 1-star drop) since I've rarely seen a tavern or bar require reservations before. The food was great. I had the Canadian Burger and Side salad. The burger was very flavourful and you could easily taste the seasoning, which was not at all over powering. I recommend checking this place out if your looking for an upscale pub concept.

Rustic sports bar lounge. Got the rib special full rack with fries for 15$. Ribs were tasty and tender, good amount of meat. Service was slow but the waitress explained they were down one server and apologized. I'd come back again for sure.

I tried the st b smoked meat sandwich and it was amazing, nice brioche bun and it came with some awesome onion rings and an apple slaw, highly recommend also if youre in the mood for a boozy drink the lit lemonade is killer!

Their menu is very unique. I tried the duck fat poutine. It was surprisingly very tasty. It was really hard to choose from the menu because there is just so much on there that I want to try! Their kitchen has an open concept, so you can see them cooking your food. The seats were comfy, and the restaurant overall had good vibes. I'll definitely go back and try more food from their menu.

Was excited about trying this restaurant and took a client here. The place is big and looks legally nice, but was pretty empty which, in hindsight, was not a great sign. They have wood fired food which is nice. Menu was VERY limited which I figured was due to Covid and being less busy. Had a double cheeseburger and fries and my client had a beet salad with chicken. For the price paid, the burger was SMALL but good. Not lots of fries but they were good. For the price, value just wasn't there. The beet salad was a joke. Client said we should go out for lunch after this "snack". How embarrassing. The salad was close to 25 bucks including a chicken breast but was so tiny. Won't be going there again and I figure this is why the place is empty. Such high hopes but it was a let down.

6 of us went for dinner. The restaurant Is beautiful. Our server was attentive and super friendly. All staff were really nice. The food was fabulous. The salt and pepper wings were the best we've ever tasted. We'll definitely be back!

The server was nice the venue is impressive since the Reno. Food over cooked, and the burger patties....... Let's just say there is more meat in McDonald's cheese burger. And when I ask for my drink to contain nothing spicy (dew to health reasons) I got a drink that would have burned the tongue out of the devil. At first glance it looked like somewhere I would have spent my B-day but after the meal I will not be returning.

Wow!!! Mood- The place as a perfect vibe to it. Extra-We went on Friday night there was a live band at 8pm. Food- that have a kids menu, several vegetarian dishes and a lot of meet. Price - fair not expensive Service- so nice We had the best time very recommended!!!

Waitress was kind to not only to my group but to the other patrons around us who were having trouble with various things. The drinks were delivered quickly and we were kept constantly catered to by our server. The food however was lackluster as my colleagues burger and the wings I ordered tasted odd.

Went for dinner on a Thursday and it was decently busy, but there were still many open tables. Service was a bit inattentive and the food came out a bit slow. I ordered the veggie burger and it was realllly good! Its a bit of a noisy restaurant, not a place to go for intimate conversation. I would go back to have the veggie burger!

The decor is really nice. Great atmosphere. The food had been hit and miss. Breakfast was really good. Perfect eggs Benedict. Friendly service. Unfortunately our experience for drinks and appetizers in the evening wasn't great. Cocktails were good but the food was waaay overcooked. The cooks were clearly inexperienced handling a busy evening. Manager didn't come talk to us.

The place inside was remodeled nicely. Staff was friendly. They have quite a few different seating areas. They have a handful of beers on tap. We all had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. Taste wise, good. The smoked salmon was really good, but you don’t get very much. The hash browns are basic, no real unique flavor. Got a side of toast to go with the meal. Strawberry jam was good.

I came here on a first date in December, pre-Covid. It was super crowded, but had a stylish interior with a nice ambiance. Our server was very nice and helpful. There was a live band which we did not anticipate being there that night, so it was difficult to maintain a conversation and would have to yell to get a few words in. We ordered the calamari which was too salty and the nachos which barely had any toppings and were essentially bare plain chips. The food was not good, but they were also a newer restaurant at that time and perhaps were doing their best to keep up with it all.

Cool vibe, nice place. Quite large space but you can find a corner if you want a quieter space. Appetizers and shareable were very good. Mains where good, but bot amazing. I had the bbq ribs, they were tasty but probably could have had more sauce, they were a bit dry.

I tried the fried jerk chicken burger with a side salad. The salad was meh, vinaigrette was certainly sour. The chicken was thigh meat so it stayed juicy. The jerk season was not too spicy and had the right flavoring. Nice soft bread! The slaw could have been more equally balanced with the portion of mango chutney, but overall the flavors were very nice ????

I was here for friend’s Birthday party. Nice restaurant, friendly service. However, there are lots things need to be improved from kitchen side. The crispy chicken in the chicken burger and fires are over-cooked. Btw, for fries, this is mixed the old and new. Some of them are crispy and some are too soft, drop thing in proper time pls. And calamari is not crispy at all, but at least they changed a new one for me which is over cooked. Be proud of what you served.

The bartender was very helpful, and fun to chat with. Walked here from the Hospital a few hours after my son was born to grab food for my wife and we had a perfectly prepared smoked meat sandwich and Stout. 10/10, would drink that stout and eat that sandwich again.
