I don't find anything special about this restaurant. The food is mediocre as is the service. I only come here once in a blue moon as it is a good friends of mine favourite place to eat. I've tried chicken fingers, quesadillas, salads, wings, ribs, breakfasts and nothing really stands out that makes me want to come back for more! I drive by here to and from work. I do enjoy seeing all the cars on Sunday evenings!

Come here every Sunday for Cruise night. If you are a classic car buff, and not from Winnipeg, every Sunday night the parking lot fills up with collector cars. Ranging from 1920 Model T's to brand new Teslas. Food is good and always get quick service.

The food is better then your usual chain casual restaurants like Applebee's, Moxy's and the like. The lounge is very good and alot of fun when the band is playing. It's a good place for a lively evening at the bar for those who aren't interested in the "bar" scene. A word of warning the refills of soft drinks are NOT free! Come on refills are free everywhere it's costs next to nothing and makes the patrons happy.

Not at all handicapped friendly. Besides having handicapped parking, the doors are very heavy to open, if a person had not been outside to help me with the door, I would not have been able to get in.. The restroom is far too small for a walker, so I couldn't imagine one in a wheelchair. Lucky for me no one came in as I was drying my hands as my walker was blocking the door and I probably would have been knocked down. Lucky we only stayed for a drink and wings and by then my friends were there to help me leave or again I have no idea how I would have had the strength to open the door to leave.

Was good at one time many years ago. I have gone here a few times over the last couple years only because my wife and friends have booked birthdays and such. I have now had it with this place. Over priced, bad service, sub par food. Why does anyone go here? Was charged $3.60 for a freaking diet coke!!!!?? Seriously Pony Corral sucks. I told her and everyone I know that I will NOT be going back to any of these Pony restaurants no matter what. an hour to get our food. Just as long to get a glass of water, as the Coke is $3.60

The portions of appetizers were quite large and the drink features are reasonably priced, I recommend this place for larger groups during any big sporting events. Though the pony Coral itself is nothing notable for Winnipeg institutions. The live band was fun, the staff were friendly and attentive overall this is a nice spot for meeting friends.

I went on Thursday for a Jets game. Billboard said “Go Jets Go...Half Off Wings and $5 Coors Light 5pm - Close”. I arrived at 6:15pm and stayed until the end of first period aka 7:45pm. I was charged for a full pound of wings and only half off during the game. This is the second time I have been overcharged for an item. I have been coming to this location for years with my family and am very disappointed with the misleading pricing. I do not need a bill adjustment as I will be going elsewhere for now on. The IPA was also luke warm.

The food is good, the staff not so much. Staff is slow even when it’s dead and there’s nobody. Staff is also quite impolite, they thought I had a fake drivers license which I didn’t. Rude staff but good food isn’t such of a great experience.

I found it over priced for what you get and when you order a soda it's one of the those 355 mL bottles which would be fine if it wasn't $3.50. The French fries are great! The entire place is like a sports bar but at The Keg prices or higher.

Terrible service. There was only one table being served at 6:15. Yet, it took the staff 15 minutes to seat us. They should have a worker at the front desk of all times! Was getting frustrated considering it was not busy! Also, very rude staff. Seem impatient. My first time here, never coming back.

Ordered a meal which included salad. I'd only had my salad for no more than 3 minutes when the waitress came out with my main meal! I don't eat slowly but I certainly don't quickly shovel the food into my mouth like I haven't eaten in a long time. I know restaurants what to get you in and out quickly but that sort of timing is ridiculous. The entire restaurant area was only about 1/4 full on a Monday at 5:00 p.m. When I pointed out that I'd only just got my salad, which was obvious by looking at the plate of salad, she asked if I wanted her to take the meal back to the kitchen - would that be instead of having it sit on the table getting cold while I ate my salad?! The 3 stars is for the food, not the serving staff. Just add this service to the less-than-good customer service we get at most businesses these days.

Service was great and the servers were extremely attentive. Quality of food, in my opinion, have gone down. Steak hardly had any marble in it and was tough and chewy. Roasted vegetables were soggy. Baked potato was to the perfection. All in all, rather disappointing visit because of their track record to serve excellent steaks and crunchy and crispy vegetables

Always a place a go to unwind while my stay in Winnipeg... I grew up most of school years in Fort Rouge... I do not mind the service at the Pony Corral it does not hurt to leave a tip... and the fire place adds warmth. The Waiters are wonderful.

We went the other night for the half price wings during happy hour. Our server was very rude, slow and did not seem to know what she was doing. She said her name was Elaina or Helena or something, very short. She got our order wrong, when we tried to get her attention to mention it she kept ignoring us, then when she finally did come over she was arguing with us telling us that we had ordered that and it was our fault. The wings were good, the beers were very reasonable but what could have been a great experience was ruined by our terrible server.

I normally wouldn't post a terribly negative review, but I happened to get the notification to review this place as I was getting sick from the food here, so I figured I had some time to vent. Terrible service, terrible timing, we ordered apps, when the apps came out the food was ready less than five minutes later. As we were eating our apps they asked of we'd like our meal saying they were ready and they would just let them sit under the hot lamp til we were ready. Waitresses who acted as if it was a chore to answer questions about the menu. Never was asked for a second drink until after the dessert had been served also asked for water for the table several times never ended up getting any. I was actually happy enough to not complain about the whole experience because I figured sometimes it happens. But the added diarrhea and sore stomache, tipped me over the edge. I hate to post bad reviews but this was terrible after all was said and done.

We were served by Shauna (employee #70). I have worked as a waitress myself, so I can relate and empathize with fellow waitresses. Did not check in on us once, did not ask if we wanted refills, and when we asked questions about the menu, she came off aggitated. I am a very generous tipper because I've been there as well so I know the work, but the service and food was so terrible that I only tipped her $1.00. After taking our payment, she did not say anything at all (not even a thank you and hope you come again) and she just left. TERRIBLE SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. You can say that about the food as well.

The service sucks me and a friend just walked out of the place we were there for 10 minutes and all we got was menus no coffee or water. The person who brought the menus did not say anything about the reason for being slow. There were 3 tables of people besides ourselves. When we left there was another table who was finished their meal and were trying to get wait staff attention but no one was around. I phoned the manager and told her we walked out and all she said was sorry we are understaffed due to medical reasons. Nothing else. It seemed like it was bothering her. Don go there their service really sucks and the female manager should have brought more staff in and been more accommodating.

My wife and I were craving a good burger and randomly picked Pony Corral at Grant Park. Had not been there for many years. What a mistake. WORST BURGER AND FRIES EVER!!! The burger was like warmed up meat loaf and the fries came pre salted were just mediocre. The first clue should have been that our meals came out in about 5 minutes. The 1 is for the atmosphere. Definitely off our list and we live in the neighbourhood.

Horrible service. Horrible food. I wouldn't come here unless I had zero options. I came here on New Year's Eve because everyone else wanted to and the nachos tasted awful. The nachos had a weird cinnamon flavour. Yuck. I've worked in restaurants before and never have I ever tasted such god awful nachos. This food is absolute garbage. And not to mention I had to go get my own drink refill. Seriously, just because I'm not having alcohol doesn't mean I should be ignored.

I like going to Pony Corral for its cosy and friendly environment. The service is usually good and their wings are some of the best in the city. At times, especially weekends, a live band plays to entertain the patrons and if the band wasn't playing, there is usually some good music playing from the Jukebox. For sports fans like me, you can always enjoy a game on the big screen there and on game nights, especially for the Winnipeg Jets, wings are always half priced. Pony Corral provides a nice environment to chill and chat with friends whilst being entertained.

I had a Seafood Caesar salad and it was just a Caesar salad with imitation crab and shrimp on it. Just watered down the salad with a salty, fishy taste. The wings were meaty but were pre-fried and then tossed in the fryer again upon ordering. It sucked.
