I sente there for Valentine's. Despite not having a reservation, since it was a last minute decision, restaurant staff was very nice. They got me and my wife a table, presented good recommendations and suggested the special menu for the day. We chose chicken with cranberries from the special menu, and it was amazingly delicious!

We haven't had a dessert tray choice presented to us like Maxime's does it since being in Europe a few years ago! Great job!

There was a group at the restaurant celebrating a 40th anniversary. That is likey the target demographic for this place. It looks like something out of the 80s in Florida. I felt like I was at an early bird special at a restaurant in Orlando. Dated look, weak wine list, bland food with an umimpressive presentation. Service was ok but we did not experience the excellent service others have commented on in previous reviews. Not sure how this place has been open for so long.

I got the chicken parmasan and I think I died then went to heaven. It was so good like I can not even discribe how amazing it was. The chocolate milkshake was nice, a bit milky and not enough shaky but nice regardless. The waiter (Serge) that I had was amazing! He made me excited to eat my food just by the way he described it. The liver was very well cooked. I was very unimpressed with the amount of food for the price. I substituted my baked potato for extra vegetables. Apparently that means one extra piece of broccoli. The parking is terrible still. I haven't been here in 10 years and I doubt that I will ever return.

Years ago, this restaurant was our go to for all occasions. Then about 10 years ago they really fell and we stopped going. It was our 35th wedding anniversary last year and we decided to give it another chance. Wow, it was like visiting an old friend. We have been twice since and the restaurant is back to its glory. If you stopped going about 10 years ago, give it a try again! I would have given 5 stars, but the cost for 3 (with only a total of two alcoholic drinks purchased) was $170, maybe try to find a way to lower the cost by 10%. Middle of the road but I would like to come back to try more. The shrimp appetizer with the white wine sauce was amazing. The prime rib was just so-so in flavour and nothing starts a prime rib dinner off on the wrong foot more than soggy horseradish out of a jar. If i am paying $40 for a slice of beef, plus whatever else in drinks and appetizers, then the least you can do is clear my nasal passages with some real horseradish. My girlfriend had the strip and she enjoyed it. Staff, service and atmosphere go up to 4 maybe 5 stars, i just can't get passed a half page of the menu being devoted to prime rib that is only so-so.

I have been a fan and loyal patron of Maxime's for many many years, and it has been a go-to for many special events. Two visits ago, the prime rib that we ordered came COLD; we sent it back and it came back a second time cold, this time we didn't bother to send it back as our dining partners were almost finished their meal already. So, pre-cooked and heated up? Not very appetizing idea. And sending it back didn't fix it. We put it down to one bad experience forgiven. We were there on Saturday night and ordered the 'special' which was chicken, and prime rib. This time the prime rib didn't come with Yorkshire pudding included with the meal, it was $5 extra. We paid the $5 extra for it and it was overdone and hard, when it should have been soft and browned, and included. When I had one bite of my chicken, it was "gelatinous" rather than 'fibrous' with the distinguishable meat fibers of a breast of chicken. I have a serious allergy to Maltodextrin and Soy, and in low end restaurants, I have learned to ask if the chicken on the menu is injected with tenderizers, pre-packaged and frozen, as it often is; I have never had to check in a high end restaurant that serves REAL, fresh, food. When I noticed the first slice was gelatinous I waited (for a long time, despite the fact that there were few people in the restaurant) to speak to the waitress before taking one more bite. She went to the 'chef' and came back and said he was 'pretty sure' that there was soy (no comment on the maltodextrin). When pushed for an ingredient list, she the said there definitively was soy. I said I could not eat the dinner (and in fact hadn't), and asked what they could do. She informed me that I could order something else, but that they would not do anything for me about the first dinner that I hadn't eaten, because I had cut into it and it had 'contaminated it' and that I would have to pay for that dinner and any additional dinners I ordered. When I argued that I hadn't eaten any of it and couldn't, due to allergy, she informed me that I hadn't asked about it prior to ordering so they wouldn't do anything about it. Unacceptable customer service, and no concern or accommodation to patrons, or even being fair. After watching my dining partner finish his prime rib (while I watched), we left our table and went to the front cash desk to pay the bill and leave. When we got to the front cash, despite having to wait for our bill, neither the owner nor the manager asked us how everything was (clearly they didn't care, and this would have been an opportunity to make things right), they didn't prompt for a tip (they knew the service was bad, but didn't want to address it), and we left, having paid $100 for one of us to eat an overpriced meal with no drinks, desert or coffee consumed or on the bill. A happy era for us has come to an end, our enthusiasm as faded as the decor and finishes in this much in-need-of-renovations middle-of-the-road restaurant.

My family and I regularly dine at Maximes mostly for a late lunch or dinner with my mother in law although the meals are not extrodinary my mother in law likes going - since it was Mother's Day my family and I made reservations for brunch. I was so disappointed that my fried potatoes were cold and my eggs benedict luke warm - I sent my plate back and was returned with warm potatoes I even had my husband try them to be sure. Not wanting to ruin the meal for the rest of my family I ate my warm eggs benedict and left the potatoes. In the end my husband did let the waiter know about my disappointing meal and he returned with a gift certificate for a free desert on our next visit which I quickly returned stating there would be no next visit. The restaurant was very busy so my meal should have been hot especially because the eggs benedict was on of their featured specials. When I went to pay I mentioned my disappointment, the front desk person said she witnessed the potatoes being placed on the plate and the waiter immediately bringing them to me I stated then there is something wrong with how the cook is preparing them stating my husband tried them also, I asked for my meal to be compensated for and she said only because it was Mother's Day would she give me my meal for free. My family and I will never go to Maximes mostly due to the way I was treated regarding the attitude about compensating me for my meal.

As always Maxime’s is one of Winnipeg’s finest places to dine. Amazing atmosphere, the service is top notch. The food is just exquisite, we had the lime grilled avocado stuffed chicken special, and it was one of the most incredible meals I have had in a long time. The soup was so delicious, I enjoyed every bite. Our wonderful waiter Darryl was just amazing, he was friendly, knew the specials (did a great job selling us on it) and was prompt with ordering, filling our waters and getting our dessert. He helped us to have the most wonderful restaurant experience. The staff are always friendly and polite. Thank you for an amazing dinning experience.

I had the Roast beef sandwich with French fries. I had slow down eating my food because I figured I was going to finished before my inlaws got there food. It says it came on Texas toast. Just a thin piece of bread with garlic butter on it. The beef didn't even cover the bread and very cheap on the fries. As I walked out of the restaurant I said to my wife, so where do you want to get some food!

Wasn't impressed. We have been going for decades and was expecting the same Hi quality. We visited to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary, and my birthday. Tried informing our waitress, that it was a special occasion, but she didn't seem to care. There was only about 6 tables when we visited, so,it wasn't too busy. We found that the prices have skyrocketed. I don't know if it is because they are trying to make up for lost business, because of COVID,or, the suppliers are charging that much, because of COVID . The food was excellent,as usual, but very pricey. We will think twice before visiting again.

I recently visited Winnipeg to see some friends. We wanted to go for a nice meal, my friend, although not going there yet said she had heard good things about this place called Maxime's restaurant. When we arrived I was first impressed by the wave of elegance , I joked and hoped that the food was as fine as the atmosphere was, relaxed yet elegant, we were shown to out table and it was at that time the waiter came over, His warm greeting and charming smile made us feel right at home, Now I once again joked that I hoped the food was as good as the service so far. I ordered a steak after our waiter assured me it was a great choice, the others ordered various items and wine. Our waiter was never far away and attended to our every need. Now, true to his word the steak was so tender it melted in my mouth. I was invited to this restaurant for the menu. I ordered prime rib blue rare and we have the classic calamari for appetizer. Calamari was good though presentation is a little flat. I got a little worried about my prime rib and rightly so. I got medium rare steak that did not look very inviting. I totally understand, as we came in at 7 PM. Though presentation did not match the ambiance of the restaurant, the excellence in service did put the restaurant over the top. I will go back there again and I highly recommend the place.

Went for dinner there tonight with 11 other people. Dinner was OK.. my shrimp was over cooked and the calamari was rubbery. Our server wasn’t the greatest either. One of us ordered the prime rib and he brought her a steak.. when she said that she ordered the prime rib he replied “oh I heard steak, well it’s still beef!”. Rude. I’ll probably never go there again.

What can I say about this beautiful place. The people are awesome and the service and food are super! If you do have a complaint they look after it immediately. Its is little Greece, The ambiance is soft and very inviting after a long day. My husband and I have come here for years. I am a regular fixture as I have brought many people here personally and get nothing but the best service for myself and those that I bring. I have gotten to know the gracious owners over the years and the people that work there. Some staff have been there since its openly. One of the best places to eat in winnipeg. Tried their spring rolls, chili chicken and stir fry and all of these were authentic, fresh and light at the same time. But they saved the best for last. If you are a Cheese cake fan, do try it. If you don’t like the cheese cake, definitely try it, you might start liking it. Our server, Karen was super friendly and treated us really well.

What was more amazing was the service of our waitress Maggy, she ensured our water was always full, was prompt with her service, but more importantly she was friendly, personable and down to earth. We had the best service here on Friday night at this restaurant than I have at any restaurant in the last few years. Maggie is clearly excellent at her job and I wish more people in that industry had her skillset. I hope Maxime's knows how lucky they are to have such an amazing waitress. We will definitely be back, primarily due to the excellent service.

Every time I visit, I am always amazed (in a good way) at how the inside remains unchanged after all of these years. This is likely the reason why the restaurant is so popular with the older generations. The menu hasn't changed much either, and if there's something on it that you like - you know what you're going to get! What are you going to get, you ask? Generous portions. Be sure to go hungry. I have never made it to dessert here! There are plenty of options on the menu for appetizers and dinner. If you are vegan or vegetarian: this is not the place for you. Our waitress was fine, a little slow to take our order in the beginning, but once we were eating she checked in on us a reasonable amount. The food is overpriced for the quality and presentation. Nothing to write home about. It's not my favourite restaurant in Winnipeg, I likely won't be visiting again any time soon, but to each their own. I can see why some would really enjoy this place. Give it a try!

Ordered a caesar salad with chicken recently. It came to $22 with taxes. Was expecting it to be a family size salad portion for that price! The portion was small - individual sized. The salad tasted great though and it came with a small slice of garlic bread. When I went in to pick it up I had asked for 2 sets of cutlery as I was eating it outside with another person. The server working the front said she had to ask her manager for approval of two sets of plastic cutlery, which felt odd and made me feel uncomfortable. They made it seem like it was a big deal that I was asking that. Unfortunately I can't comprehend the price versus quantity. Even though the food tasted good, my experience left me feeling very uncomfortable. Not sure if I will return. **Edit: after reading the response of the owner not owning up to what actually happened and instead proceeds to call me a liar and deny what actually took place when they were not even dealing with me, I was dealing with the hostess the entire time. There is clearly issues with management and I will not be back due to how the owner has chosen to respond to the constructive criticism I have provided. Unfortunately I have edited my rating from 3 stars to 1 star as my experience is now even worse. **Edit: the owner ended up deleting and editing their original response to my review. Very interesting!

Went there for supper and ordered a glass of wine, onion soup and fettuccine with prawns and spouse had greek salad and philly cheese steak sandwich. Wine came after I was done the soup and then she brought out our dinner and never came to check on us. I asked someone for Parmesen cheese thinking that it might help the terrible blah fettuccine after all the salt and pepper I put on it. Still not good.... no one to flag down and we were getting late for our movie so we went to the front to ask for our bill, she (manager) asked how everything was so I told her and she said that was weird that someone just raved about the fettuccine and how they said it was the best they ever had?!?!... I said that the prawns were good but that's all I ate. Server never came around so couldnt send it back. No apology or anything. Won't be back.

Disappointment is understated. All food brought to table room temperature butter would not even melt on baked potato. Ribs chicken and vegetables all luke warm. Coffee was same. Service was rushed made to feel very uncomfortable. If isolated experience one could excuse but the party of 8 beside us had a similar experience and left before their main course was served while the management went into salvage mode to no avail. This is not my first visit here but was my first disappointed one. Will surely reflect on future visits. Frankly prefer service from Boston pizza maybe the management should scope them out to see how it should be done.

The presentation of the food was 5/5, however the food didn't seem to have much flavour. I ordered the French Onion soup, and it was extremely salty. Next came the Ravioli which was overcooked and flavourless. My mother had the veil and said it was the worst veil she has had from the restaurant and she has been coming for years. I am not sure if they hired a new cook or what... but the food was extremely disappointing for the price. I must also add that the washrooms did not have any hot water, which I find concerning.

I took my mom for supper after reading the review for liver and onions (she loves liver and onions). She wasn't disappointed. Her portion was more than she could eat too. While that's the good news the not so good was my order. I ordered the chicken souvlaki. Full disclosure I side on more flavourful vs less. This was on the very less side. It was very tender and juicy and I believe this is more personal preference than anything else. No matter what I'm taking my mom back for her favourite and I will try something different.

Our food was very good but the service was terrible. Our wiatress was loud and rude .She made a mistake on our order then argued with us about it saying we would be charged anyway .Then took the drink away and put it on the bill insisting it be paid for even though she had taken it away. A tip was added anyway because thats the kind of people we are and she insisted it wasn't enough and increased it adding what she felt was enough to the total. Overall excellant food does not make up for bad service. This was our friends 55 wedding anniversary. Sad preformance by this staff member .We will never eat here again nor recommend to our friends .

Filled with red onions and little bits of cabbage. My wife's stiry fry had six shrimp and mine had four. Was still hungry when we left. We heard such good things about this restaurant, but this stir fry was ridiculous.

Went here with a big group of family of friends to celebrate our post holiday party. When we were doing the reservation and having the occular visit, the staff was nice and even gave us a tour. We informed them that we’ll kinda have a little program with games and all that stuff so they booked us to the green room as we are roughly 20-30pax. So the day of our party came. This rude server greeted two of my friends with arrogance saying that we were late as it was already 11:15am and we told them that we’ll arrive 11ish. She could’ve said it in a better way but unfortunately she didn’t. We let that passed. Then we asked if we can move the table a little so we have a little space for some games. And you know what she said?? “No! You can’t move the tables because how are the staff going to serve your food?? Throw them out??!” Like seriously? Is that a polite way to answer a customer back?? She’s already getting into our nerves but still we let that passed as we were worried that she’ll do disgusting stuff to our food. Then, we just decided to just eat lunch and leave right after. Continue our games and program to our friend’s house as we don’t want to spoil our day by some incompetent, racist, arrogant server. Food came. Since the price is a bit expensive, I expected a lot from the taste and serving size. But was disappointed. Small portion. Nothing special. You can compare the quality to a fastfood or some other low-priced restaurant. So if you’re planning to go here for a special occassion or just a simple lunch/dinner, beware! Save your bucks, time and effort instead of wasting it here.

On October 26th myself and another couple went to Maxime's Restaurant to celebrate my 48th anniversary.I had ordered chicken soup along with my meal and behold there was part of a stainless steel pot scrubber in my soup which I did not notice until it was too late. I swallowed one large piece and the other I took out of my mouth before swallowing it. I was choking on the piece that I swallowed and eventually got it to go down with eating bread. The Waitress was very concerned and apologized and immediately took the piece telling me it was part of a pot scrubber. Other patrons were also concerned asking if I was OK etc. Not once did the Manager come over however the waitress advised there would be no charge for my meal. This special evening was ruined and the wife of the other couple was so upset that she could not finish her meal and took it home. I was in discomfort for most of the evening. I called the Manager the next day but she was busy however she did call me back. I told her that our evening was ruined as we had other plans that evening that had to be cancelled. and her reply was that "what do you expect - we did not charge you for your meal".. Nice response., wasn't it?? I would have expected a better response to my situation. Upon seeking medical advice and following instructions given to me , all worked out in my favor. In conclusion, as to the meals, they were not served hot and the "special" soup was also not hot. As mentioned, the waitress was fantastic, overly concerned with my well being but Management was very inconsiderate as they did not even check on my condition and was rude when I talked to her on the phone. There could have been serious medical complications but that did not concern the Manager...... Thought that our 4 meals should have been complimentary since the evening was ruined or at least given a gift certificate to cover 4 meals at a later date. Did not happen!!!! Won't be back....

My first issue is when my older daughter tried to order a different bun because she didn't want the onion bun for her pulled pork the chef said no because any other bun wouldn't complement the pulled pork. Second issue is my younger daughter ordered the soup of the day and didn't like it, she has 2 bites maybe, they still charged us for it and wouldn't take it off our bill. They didn't even offer to bring her something else. I don't think I will be going back there anytime soon.

My recent visit on Sept. 18 I had their famous Manitoba Pickeral with the Dill wine sauce as reccommended by our server Debbie. It was amazing. The taste and texture were perfect. As we were with a large group we had two servers Jordyn and Debbie. Together they provided excellent and efficient service. It was obvious they both worked well together to make our experience a 5 star one.

I went there with a big group of people and when I got my food is was a touch on the cold side. I also would have liked to be warned that there were no free refills on pop..i mean it wasn't even in a full glass.the drink came in a wine glass. I left with a $89 bill the least they could have done was give refills. Not to mention they include tip in the bill. I don't like to be forced to tip. Even if the food isn't good I usually still leave a tip but we were forced to leave a 15% tip when I wasn't even satisfied. The food was not terrible but could have been better. I asked for hot water to make my baby a bottle and they gave me water in a bowl lol..i guess they thought I wanted to just warm it up I uno . It was definitely an over priced place for what u get (like no refills). I will not be returning.

The service was great and the food tasted delicious But! I am celiac which I informed my waitress and ordered from gluten free menu. I was with a party of about 12 people and another person from my table ordered the same dish. I know for a fact that I got the other persons dish with the gluten and she got my gluten free. After getting home I started to get sick. I was very sick for 3 days. I decided to call restaurant and talk to supervisor to let them know about my experience and make sure it doesn’t happen to someone else. The manager seemed less than sympathetic and said she couldn’t see how this could happen as they serve hundreds of gluten free customers. NICE she called me a liar! She told me she would have to investigate and would get back to me in a day or so. She did call back next day and her attitude was the same. Said she had checked with the staff and they said it couldn’t of happened. Again I am the one who has made the mistake. She said I could go on the website and put my info and I would get complimentary meal so I wouldn’t have a negative opinion of Maxine’s. I told her from the beginning I wasn’t doing this to get a free meal. I just wanted to make sure it didn’t happen to anyone else. I was diagnosed celiac about 3 years ago and I have never been sick this long. A sincere apology would have been the way to go.

i really liked it! i came here with my family for a late mother's day dinner, the cake we had was nice and light, not too sweet or bland. for my meal, i had baked spaghetti, which was enormous. i just kinda wish they had pictures of the meals on the menu, so you can see what you're getting instead of going absolutely blind, and if you're not familiar with the particular dish, it's a bit frustrating not knowing how big your meal might be? as for me, i could only eat about a third or so of my meal before calling it quits and asking for a take home box. the aesthetics were lovely, and i really enjoyed coming here! nice for a celebratory dinner of all sorts.

This restaurant went above and beyond! My girlfriend and I were in a rush and called a head to see if they could have our appetizers ready when we arrived. From the moment we walked in to the minute we left we felt our business was appreciated. The server (Howie) was exceptional! Will definitely return! We both had the Rose Pesto Penne with the Mushroom Neptune and both dishes were unbelievable. Finished the with the Nutella cheese cake. Don't let the atmosphere fool you. The food is pretty bad. I went there with my girlfriend and 3 other friends tonight and everything they ordered and tried tasted pretty much like generic food. Food is presented average, it looks like a gormet restaurant but it is not. I've been to this restaurant in my youth, but I hadn't returned for awhile. The food is ok to solidly good. I remember the appeal was they had amazingly good priced specials back in the day, and the restaurant was usually full. The pricing on their regular menu is fair, but not cheap. Their seating is exceptionally comfortable. The staff looks like its mostly still the same ones. For sure the server we received was a blast from the past, who was very good at her job. I had the lamb, my friends had the special and the other one had the steak. The dinner entrees we ordered ranged from $25-$30. It does include soup or salad, bread service and sides. Its still an ok deal, and if you want a hearty comfort food meal its a good place to go. We were not wowed by any of the food. It was solid ok food. The pork tenderloin which was on special looked fantastic. I think that might have been the best bet for the evening. Still a good place to go for a relaxing evening if you're in the area. I just miss their amazing specials because of the value.

We have not visited Maxime’s in a few years. We were very happy to come again, but as our time progressed this evening we will unlikely come again. First we were a table of 8, we were told our time would be limited to 2 hours , which we agreed. Then as we all arrived , our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. We ordered but our order was very prolonged, as we were receiving our meals, 3orders were to be 10oz New York steak,but the waitress said the chef did not cut the steak but it would not take long ,would we like the prime rib instead? 2 excepted the 3rd order still wanted the steak and he would wait. Unfortunately all our meals were Luke warm nothing was hot. We did not complain , the waitress offered a dessert or alcoholic bev to compensate for the errors, we declined. As a result she gave the 3 certificates for their next visit, they left the certificate as we will not go back . Such a busy place they need more waitresses and chefs to accommodate the volume. Very disappointing!

The food was delicious and we ate every bite. The bread basket was a nice touch. It had a variety of breads and you could tell it was all fresh. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and chicken was too. Desserts went over very well. It's a dated decor but the ambiance is very warm. Great place to take the family or head for a special occasion. You're guaranteed to have great service and leave full.

Maximes is always fabulous. Our waiter was very attentive. He heard me mention a 9 ounce glass of red to my dinner partner so as he approached the table he mentioned this fact. He heard my daughter mention sangria. Also mentioned hearing us. Very impressed. Be prepared to wait for a table as they are busy from 6 pm on. I have never had to wait long Food is excellent. Prices are reasonable. Always good portions. Recommend to everybody.

We had a very nice meal here. The ambiance of this restaurant is lovely. The artwork on display are copies of famous paintings including a Renoir. The experienced waiter that served us was attentive and knowledgeable. 2 of us had the special that night which included stuffed pork tenderloin, braised cabbage in wine, grilled asparagus and rice. Ravioli pasta and a top sirloin steak were the other 2 meals that were ordered for our party. All the meals were unique and tasted great. Would recommend this restaurant. Thanks for another great dining experience.

Wonderful food. We went to this restaurant during a visit to Winnipeg. It has a large gluten free menu for those that need it. A very varied menu for for everyone else. The food was wonderful. Great Winnipeg style fine dining. Retro interior with classic fireside and white table cloth style. Good combination of traditional meals, good portions, and reasonable price for 3 course meal. Service is generally good, can be a little slow if you come on Friday or Saturday as they are usually packed. There veal, seafood, and chicken are all great; never had there steak. Great for date night or business lunch type place, don't expect a 5 star resturant though.

Almost a month ago, we booked Maxime's (front room) for the "Celebration of Life" of my mother in law. This was always her favorite place to go for lunch/dinner. Well, they didn't let us down. The food and service were amazing. We have never had a bad meal here. Waiters and waitresses always treat you with the utmost respect and congeniality. Every time we visit Winnipeg we make a point of having dinner out at Maxime's. Keep up the fantastic work!

Dinner was great. Service was good. Trouble was we ordered dessert and when we needed a ingredient list they could not provide one. We stated for the waitress to remove it right away before we touched it. They could not provide the ingrediets as the cake is not prepared there. They packaged it up and made us pay for it anyways. We recently celebrated my mother's 60th Birthday at Maxime's. We were a party of about 30, and the food and service were excellent. Even though we were a relatively large group, food was served to everyone at the same time, we never had to wait for wine or drink top ups, and the private room we had for the party really made us feel at home. The servers Jen and Paul were very accommodating, answered all of our questions, and really aimed to make it a pleasant experience for everyone. Thank you to Maxime's for making this a memorable event.

A good night out Maxime's didn't open until 4 pm and by 430 the main dining room was reserved. It didn't matter the dining lounge was very good, still more of a dining area than a lounge at that time of day. There is a large selection of items on the menu. The dish of the day was popular. The dish was a Parmesan coated pork tenderloin stuffed with crab and coated with hollandaise sauce with asparagus. It came with rice, braised cabbage and a choice of split pea soup or garden salad. The pork was tender, flavourful and delicious. The cabbage was excellent. The rice had a peculiar taste to it. The other dish was the 4 cheese ravioli with veggies. The ravioli had a wonder filling and the pasta was cooked just right. The star of the dish was the fresh tasting sauce. Our waiter was fantastic and made our night. He was kind and patient with us. Calm and friendly and very professional. He was around when we needed him, but never did he feel intrusive. Definitely worth going to, very good staff that has a lot of patience.

I love the ambiance and atmosphere. Food arrives fast and servers are friendly. However it is extremely pricy for what you get. Portion sizes are very small and prices so high that they can make you faint. Food is rather bland too. More effort is put towards presentation of the food on the plate rather than the food being really tasty.

Ate at Maxime as part of a group (not particularly large but reservations had been plannned ahead) for a select smaller menu. Parking is great and easily accessible. Decor is nice and restaurant appears clean and tidy. The wait staff was efficient but curt. We apparently only had the room for 2 hours and they made sure to move us along in ordering and eating so we’d be out of there within the time frame. They were also very unaccommodating with any requests off the planned menu. The food was not very tasty, very bland or had an overpowering taste of raw garlic. I would have been able to disregard the lack of taste but the high price point for what we had amounted to a very expensive, unpleasant meal.
