The atmosphere here is pretty good. Artisanal but comfortable. Casual but upscale. The food is quite pricey for what you get (8 dollars for an open face mushroom and cheese sandwich) but it's a nice place to wrap up a date or bring potential clients. I'd recommend at least trying it if you aren't looking for a meal.

Cordova has the best charcuterie & cheese in the city (The whole menu is tasty)! The beer selection is also a great mix of local and imported beers. To top it off, the atmosphere is always awesome!

This is a terrific restaurant! They have a fabulous tapas menu and are very accommodating with allergies. I strongly suggest the olives and the Spanish potatoes. They have a lovely drink menu and also carry some great non-alcoholic options. We have enjoyed Cordova in the comfort of our home a few times as well. The charcuterie/cheese boards are beautifully curated. The raclette is a lot of fun and you get a great selection with it. Definitely suggest both the dine-in and take out options. The staff is also so wonderful.

Last Friday we had a team outing at Cordova. We couldn't have a better experience. Their charcuterie board is one of the best in the city and they also count with a great selection of wine. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Five stars to Cordova and Elisa!!!

We love Cordova, first we miss being there in person but we did the next best thing and ordered take out! Wow the experience was amazing so easy with the same great service with a take out spin. Lisa packed up our dinner with care and every little detail covered. We ordered the cook at home mussels the experience so easy to make! If you are looking for an amazing meal from an amazing restaurant look to Cordova!!!! I would give more than Five stars if it let me. I will look forward to the in house experience but for now you still have me hooked!

Great ambiance. Food was very rich and flavorful. Duck was cooked perfectly. Every dish was unique. The olives are a must. Wine we chose were perfect - soplo being lighter but with a great nose and Valdehermoso Joven being a darker, more full wine. I would go again. Owner is from France and one of the servers spoke French.

When you see a restaurant menu that is short and straight to the point, rest assure: they know what they are doing. This is the case at Cordova. We had 4 tapas; all executed to perfection. Staff was knowledgeable of the menu and wines. Well worth the visit.

Honestly I wouldn't go again. We tried 7 different items on their menu and were unimpressed with almost all of them. The charcuterie board and bread were quite good, but the cured fish with lemon juice/arugula was too acidic and had a chalky texture. The crab salad on baguette was fine, but the salmon mousse was too sweet. The meatballs were some of the worst I've ever had--flavourless and dry--and I didnt even finish the orange bulgur beet salad because it had no flavour or appeal. Finally, the prosciutto wrapped goat cheese w/ pesto was savoury, but too salty. The place has a nice atmosphere, and the presentation of the food was stellar. I just wish I enjoyed the food more for how expensive tapas are.

The best charcuterie board I’ve ever had. Traveled the world, before it was illegal. Never has a board lasted and had another nut another blueberry another piece of cheese another pickle for an hour and a half. Don’t know don’t care what it cost. Best in the world period.

Good food, poor service. 4 times brought the wrong order items to us, 2 times had to remind them what our order was, and completely forgot to bring the artichoke dip. I pointed to the menu, said artichoke clearly, it was repeated back to me, and thirty-forty minutes later they tried to give us someone else's meatballs. Kept waiting for a while and nothing else came so I guess someone else got our dip. It would have been five star with just a bit of attention to detail in the service department, the food was really quite good, but getting it was tedious.

Too woke for its own good. We came in for a drink or two. We were left sitting at a table for 15-20 mins while waitress after waitress walked by us. They didn't nod, say hello, or even acknowledge us. We eventually walked out. I get that the environment of the place is avant-garde and modern. But a touch of customer service would be great.

Really love this place, which reminds me of "back home" (southwest France). They have a very decent collection of Belgian beers (in bottles) as well as a small but nice collection of mostly local micros on tap. The wine is also quite inspired. Food is tapas-style and good. I would not go there just to eat, as portions are not huge (those I tried, at least), but that is good: in France, you go to a restaurant to eat, then you go to the bar for drinks, having nibbles if need be. Nice atmosphere, nice music and very friendly staff.

I've been here twice and both times I felt like I was at home. The atmosphere is amazing-- you can tell they have spent a lot of time making the place feel cozy, welcoming and relaxing. One of the owners (Greg) was there both times and came to talk to us. He told us about how Cordova came to be, his backstory, and even gave us samples of different beers to try. The beer selection is second to none-- they have an amazing selection-- lots from Belgium (including Delerium). I've had a few different things on the menu food-wise and I've been very happy with everything I've tried. They've added a couple of things since my first visit and I can say it was definitely a good move. We're new to Winnipeg and have never felt so welcomed as we have at Cordova. I'm really happy to have found this spot, it's definitely a treasure and we'll definitely be regulars!!

Pleasant experience overall and would definitely visit again. I had the mushroom gnocchi and started with a Carribean Old Fashioned. I loved both and would definitely recommend someone who likes an old fashioned to try the Carribean. I sat out on the patio with a friend, and this was during Covid-19 reopening phase (early July), but the staff took every precaution and were professional in every respect. I went on to try the whiskey sour, which I don't think I'm a fan of, and the Panaché, which is the best version of a flavoured beer I've ever had. The patio was full to the allowable capacity the entire time I was there, but I was not once made to feel rushed out by the staff.

Worst service imaginable. My drink sat half made on the bar for 30 minutes. We have been here since just after 6, its now 730. We havent gotten our food and are no leaving. We warned them that we needed to leave before 740. How does a cheese plate take 90 minutes to make? Plus it took more than 15 minutes to get a glass of water, I had to get my own plate and cutlery . When we went to leave the managers response was we dont expect to have people who want to be served in a set period of time. Avoid this place unless you are good to wait for hours.

Sat on the patio on a Friday woth my boyfriend. It was quiet and romantic. We ordered 2 dishes, can't remember what they were called but one had shrimp and the other was a mixed tomato dip. Both were absolutely delicious. The whiskey sours were perfect! The only problem was that it was super busy inside so we had to wait for drinks. But well worth the wait

Started with waiting almost 2 hours for 2 plates of food. Saying that the service was nonexistent is an understatement. During the 2 hours of waiting, the server did not come once to ask if we needed any more drinks, or how we were doing. Probably lost at least a few hundred dollars of drink sales for our table. Once the food was being brought to the table, one of the servers asked "Who's asia?" (very loudly in the midst of the music blaring in the background, that almost everyone at my table heard it), to which another server pointed at me (the asian). I don't think she realized that could be offensive to some. Seemed like the customer service training is nonexistent at Cordova. I guess the sensitivity training also does not happen at all, contrary to the hipster appearance and decor. I would be very surprised if anyone at our table will ever return to Cordova, as I definitely will not be returning, OR recommending this place to any of my friends in the food blogging community. I feel very bad for the owner of this establishment, if this is the regular trend in a small city like Winnipeg, they could be facing closing down very soon.

Cordova is an absolute hidden gem in this city. The staff is super friendly and always make you feel welcome. If you’re lucky enough to be served by Elissa then you came on the right night. The atmosphere is laid back with tons of plants and beautiful architecture. The cocktails are unreal - shout out the the blueberry whiskey sour and the Caribbean old fashion. The food is always incredible - the prawn cocktail and the prosciutto melon salad are my current faves. Also best nachos in the city, I truly believe this.

The service was awful. After being offered and then asking/reminding our server(s) for more pitas 4 times. On the fourth time she turned around came back and said “see patience is key”. I also didn’t get a drink for 35 minutes and only got it after all of our food was finished. Food was amazing as usual. Service was both rude and held zero accountability. Super disappointed.

Cool little place, it's in the old Fyxx space and they kept the rad copper ceiling which I have always loved. Wine, beer and liquor menu was well appointed, there is easily something for everyone on there. Probably 20ish beers of various styles, same for wine and cocktails. We had the gnocchi, tacos and bruschetta. All were really good, I thought the gnocchi could have been seasoned a little more but that's just a personal preference, it was prepared just fine, gnocchi was a great consistency, which is good it so easy for it to turn to mush. Just a reminder, it is a tapas place so good comes out as it's ready rather than in courses. Service was good, they seem to enjoy what they do and like to have fun. I would definitely eat here again and would have no problem recommend it to anyone. Enjoy.

Very strange night at Córdova. When arriving at 10:30pm on the Saturday of the September long weekend my 4 friends and I were met by hesitant staff telling us that they were closing early. when asked what time they were closing they said 12, which gave us more than enough time to enjoy a drink or two. Unfortunately our drinks were dropped off and we didn’t hear from the staff again. When the waitress dropped off the drinks she apologized for the weird greeting and said “we’ve just been really slow all day”. Also the two of us who had beer, beer cans were put on our table without being opened which is strange and I think illegal. The staff congregated at the bar top enjoying their drinks while we weren’t visited again till it was time to pay. I was seated by the door so I was able to watch multiple people walk up to the front door, read a sign that had been put up, and then walk away. When we left we saw that the sign said “closed at 11 for private event”. There obviously wasn’t a private event as we were there until just before 12. Multiple groups of potential customers walked on to the next establishment because of this sign. So my take away from my first visit at Córdova is the service isn’t great and staff would rather go home early than serve customers.

Pros: Very good service, nice location, enjoyed the Mediterranean flat bread and the prawns. Cons: Chicken skewer was disappointingly bland, flat bread overpriced, shocked to find we were charged $24 for 2 glasses of Sangria.

We had just about everything on the tapas menu and almost all of it was excellent, there were a couple things I wasn't fond of but that may very well just be personal taste. The service was a little hit-and-miss, we were there for a long time and sometimes our server would disappear for long periods of time but they were both very friendly.

*edited* I really enjoyed the charcuterie I had. For non alcoholic options they have San Pellegrino with different flavors such as limonetta, blood orange, and pomegranate. The atmosphere is beautiful, though the chairs not necessarily the most comfortable. The service was friendly, when you got it. My dining companion was very unhappy with the service. Our waters were left unrefilled. The charcuterie was dropped off originally with no explanation. They did explain when I stopped a waiter to ask. Thankfully we sat at the bar so we could stop people... There was no quality check, and my dining companion could not get anyone's attention to pay for the bill. We did feel a bit ignored by the staff. I still gave them 4 starts because I'm hoping it was an isolated case, as they weren't rude. I would go back to try it again and give it another chance. I enjoyed what I ate, I just hope next time the service is better. *Edit* On my next visit everything was corrected. I mean everything when it came to their service. They were on top of everything. The restaurant was 3/4 fiull. We had the charcuterie again. The standard remained. Tried the squid. It was a very nice change, an item I don't see often, cooked perfectly so it was not rubbery at all. Sad we didn't have room for dessert, but there is always next time
