Lovr the chicken wings here and thr spinach dip is phenomenon
The Loose Goose is one of our go-tos. They have one of the nicest patios downtown for sure. We always feel welcome and the COVID guidelines that are in place made us feel safe. The staff are awesome, the food is delicious, and the selection of drinks is top-notch (especially the variety of Collective Arts!). Thanks Loose Goose!
Good experience. Best place to chill out
Stopped in last night for poutine and pretzel bites. Our waitress was patient and kind, and I didn't feel rushed out because I wasn't drinking. The food was hot, fast, and delicious.
Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Food was good as well. The patio was quite and good for people watching
Love this place, I bring my gf every week or two so we can do 2 for 1 wings on Thursday. Awesome wings, great selection of beers. Couldn't ask for much more!
Popped in for a quick lunch on a Sunday while in town. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Food quality was great. Alcohol selection was plentiful with several beers on tap and a wide selection of hard liquor. Overall would visit again while in town for lunch or dinner.
Great food. Great staff. Bartender quite unfriendly however. But due to the eye candy and all you can eat wings. I'll be back.
Great food, even better service. This is my go to place for wings and a night out - also there Tatco's are so yummy. I've never once had a bad experience here. They are absolutely fantastic. Support local, support small business - support the people who work there.
This place has good music with varieties of drinks. Food is awesome. Bartenders and waitresses are friendly. Very helpful in drink selection. I recommend this place to visit in group.
Very impressive whiskey selection. I didn't try any of the wings, but they have what seemed like 100 varieties. My friend liked his. Next time we cross the river, we'll be sure to stop in. Our server (Janet, I think?) was also good.
Very good experience just wish TheBack40 was on the sauce menu!
Way too loud. Also, the selection of beer is monotonous, even though it seems big. We didn't try the food, but it is your typical bar compilation. Service was mediocre, since our waitress didn't seem to know much about beer. In their defence, this was a 95% student crowd, and we are "a bit" older (in our 40s). It was packed on a cold October Friday night.
Easily my favourite bar in downtown Windsor. Draws a varied crowd from all (legal!) age groups. Always sports on TV. Staff are friendly and the whole atmosphere is usually pretty chill for a pub. Great daily food specials, 3 of which revolve around their absolutely fire chicken wings. Loads of fun times had here :)
It was a bit hard to find a spot but I loved the location (just a small distance from the river!) And the good selection of brews from Collective Arts on tap were a big draw for me to come back :) good prices too!
Beer is good, patio was great! Awesome views.
A bit scrungy (is that a word haha) and very loud; however, the best wings I've ever had in my life. Big, juicy, and delicious! My favorite place for wings, go back any time I am in the area. If you're considering coming to the area, make sure you plan to stop here for their tasty wings.
Great food, awesome selection of drinks, warm and nice staff and a great atmosphere!
Solid pub fare, good mixed drinks and beer selection, a bit on the louder side but that's to be expected in a sports centric bar. The staff is consistently just ok. They all seem over worked, hurried, and anxious for us to leave every time I've been there (regardless of the server.) Still my favourite fish and onion rings in the city though, and they have Craft Heads on tap ????
Great food and decent price for drinks. Though I appreciate a bouncer at a downtown Windsor establishment this guy was all juiced up following people around and talking about hurting people for absolutely no reason because. There were like 10 people in the bar an no one was causing trouble except him. Completely ruined the vibe and evening. Won't ge back.
Best and biggest chicken wings I've ever had! My wife had the Canadian burger and fries and loved it as well. We'll definitely be back!
Like this place. Chicken wings can be hit or miss here. Frustrating because when they're on, they're on! Rival any wings in town. Most servers are pretty decent, but Paul, always rocks it out. Super attentive and true pro.
Paul was our bartender/server for the night. He went above and beyond to serve our table and meet COVID-19 safety precautions! Amazing job! The Loose Goose is the place to be in Windsor!!!
I’ve been here a few times over a couple years with groups of 3-6. Both times all of our food was excellent (bar fare). The past visit, however, not so awesome. It started great but quickly went downhill as more people arrived (not even crowded). Our server basically ignored us for new tables and we sat with empty drinks for over 20 minutes. It’s one thing to be busy and acknowledge your neglect as a server but when you’re completely unapologetic it’s another. There are plenty of other restaurants/bars downtown that I probably won’t bother coming back here.
Good all you can eat wings. They are monstrous wings! Heavy on the sauce so be weary of what you order as I find the sauce is what fills you up! Innis & Gunn on tap!! Suuuuuuper good! Been here a few times, I'll be back again very likely.
The yummiest cauliflower tacos (probably in the whole world) - props to the chefs and whoever concocted this recipe...the bar here always has friendly people. We need to get rid of that plexi glass though.
Chicken wings are amazing! Also so many flavours of sauces to choose on your wings.
Staff are great, food is amazing. Had the worst time choosing between the strip loin and taco dip today. Plus they have Il Jimador so why wouldn't you. 10/10 would come back ????
Great pub style restaurant right in the heart of downtown Windsor neer the river. It had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and it was very good. Lots of monitors to watch various media as well as a comfortable place to stay and enjoy drinks with friends. You can't lose here.
Nice place... Bustling with people. Didn't stay long...just went for drinks. The waiter was Liverpool fan and I am Man UTD fan ???? rivals. But we connected, chatted along... Overall nice experience ???? we were already drunk before entering the place ????
GREAT LOCATION! Great layout and vibe. Vast selection of food and drink. Only complaint would be that parking is quite complicated to find as its in an urban location. Keep up the good work!
Great wings the variety of sauces and rubs and combos of sauces and rubs seem a bit overwhelming at first but once your decision is made know that whatever you picked was a good one. Cousin found the all dressed a bit salty but other then that the flavours are wonderful. Now is when you realize that giant menu of selection is not only lots of choices but perhaps more of a challenge to go back next week and try them all eventually!! Server was the best waitress I've had the pleasure of meeting in a long time. Very professional with a great personality.
Loved this place. We were there twice in one night on June 9th, 2018 for our anniversary. In our mid-30s, we didn't feel completely out of place and had a great time. You gotta try the Goose Grenade. Had one of the coolest experiences when a newly-wed couple came in super late, almost closing time, having finally evaded the chaos of their wedding. It was our anniversary and we were celebrating in Windsor where I proposed to my wife, so we bought them a shot and laughed about the coincidence. Wish we had gotten a picture with them.
Classic restaurant with excellent Service. Nice Ambience. Parking is bit tricky though
This is my favorite local pub / live entertainment venue in Windsor. The staff are like family, the food is great and open late, the beer is cold and the specialty shots like the "Goose Grenade" are fun to have with friends, business colleagues, and new acquaintances alike. On the weekend there live music is some of the best in the city!
Friendly establishment with good eats right downtown near Caesars ! ???? ????
The Loose Goose is a Windsor Ontario staple. This RestoPub is located right on Ouellette Ave. right by riverside placing it in a prime location. Its a nice 2 story pub that offers a great variety of beers and mixed drinks but is most known for its chicken wings. On Mondays these wings are offered as an all you can eat.
Wings were excellent. Smoked meat sandwich was great as well, add some seasoning to your fries; you won't regret it.
First time at this place and I was totally disappointed. Place was busy, although beside goofy name and good location had nothing much to offer. Choice of beers was limited, server was more interested in chatting with some friends than serving and food was biggest down. Ordered poutine and it came soggy with cold pieces of cheese drenched in cheapest canned gravy they could find. Their second attempt at making something that could be named poutine was not better. Only improvement was about half of chunks of cheese were barely melted this time. I'm not sure if this is only dish their cook is incompetent with, but I'll leave it being mystery unsolved for me.
Best wings in Windsor — whether they’re bone-in or boneless, they’re always amazing. Xtra crispy with cali gold = perfect wings!! Everything on the menu is a hit.
I would have to say the best wings I've had and there are so many sauces and rubs to choose from, all for a reasonable price.
Its a medium sized bar, with a nice patio in the summer. They have a lot of different wing sauces and dry rubs, their wings are really great and a must try, some of the best in the city. The times I've been there its taken a little longer than it should for the food to come out but the waitress was always around and ready if you needed anything. Overall great food and amazing wings also with a wide selection of alcoholic beverages.
Giving 2 stars because of the terrible service. My friend and I had to go find our own menus after no one came to serve us for over 10 minutes. Almost went to get our own waters too from the bar after it seemed like our server (after finally asking what we wanted to drink) had forgotten about us. When we were about to pay our server began complimenting us clearly hoping for a tip and trying to make up for the last hour of ignoring us.
My friend and I were meeting some people here. We go in and order a drink, then realize the rest of our group is upstairs. We were not allowed to bring our beers upstairs even though it is the same bar and serves the same drinks. We had to chug our beers to be able to go up and join our friends.
Its one of my favourite hangout spot on weekends. Good service and beers. But the chicken wings that I ordered last Friday was not that great. It tastes different from the usual one. Apart from that everything was great.
I was there on Saturday afternoon. This is my take away: Food: Nothing special. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with side salad. It was nothing to write home about. Few other people at my table had food, perogies, club sandwich, fries. Nothing big. Service: Slow and forgetful. Waitress forgot drinks and food and there was only 6 of us. We were not rowdy or anything. When it came to the bill, she had it so turned around with splitting it, we just said screwed it and paused for whatever was on the bill and figured it out ourselves later at our hotel room. Atmosphere: We were outside and two things stuck with us. One is we brought a dog because we were from out of town and it was the first location in Windsor that said we could not bring them on the patio. The second was that there was no cover. No umbrellas or overhang. Need shade on those hot days.
Nice little bar downtown. Good place to go before a show. Fair prices. Server was very cheerful!
Beat chicken wings ever!! Very friendly service. Bustles, but is not loud. I went by myself and had a good tie chatting with folks at the bar. Highly reccommended
Great pub on Oulette Street in Windsor. The patio is small but situated on the main street for people watching. They have great daily specials and a number of beers on tap. I had the wings and they tasted great. You can choose from a number of flavors and preparation styles.
Had non PPV UFC fights. Sizeable beer selection, but would like some more diversity in styles. Fish & Chips were great, as also was the Chicken Noodle Soup. Others I dined with really enjoyed their orders. 2 floors to accomodate when the head count get high. Will be back next year for NAIAS.
Awesome food and great place for drinks with friends. Recommend this place every day of the week.
Every item is amazing!! The wings are the best in ontario hands down and the wife sauce selection
Biggest and best sauce and dry rub selection in the city for chicken wings!
Went on a Thursday for wings, great size, many flavours, and great tasting.
Great small pub with an amazing selection of beers, whiskey and other beverages. Their wings are huge.
Great food and the service was good too. Good atmosphere everyone is friendly. Give it a try
Local staple! This is thee place to go for wings, ton of wing sauces and specials all week long. Amazing service, food, staff and location. One of my favorite places for a casual dinner in the city. Always keeping the experience safe and clean as well!
Always a good on goose bite Tuesdays! Wings are great, lots of beer on tap and good service as always
I’ve been here twice and I’ve been impressed both times! The food is delicious and the drinks are cheap. Great atmosphere too!
I love the patio here. This is the best place if you wanna have beer some snacks and a lil chitchat or even for a date night. Location is best. View is superb. I didn’t like the veg burger maybe you could like it. Must try: spinach dip, poutine and super crispy French fries
Delicious wings and apps, solid service, and great patio at their downtown location. Home delivery has been a godsend these past few months. Super happy to see local businesses able to delicately balance safety and service with great results. I look forward to visiting the Goose more regularly once the pandemic is officially over.
Went to this establishment after a concert. It’s was quite busy, which was fine and we were told we would wait for our food. App came in decent about of time, but we waited awhile for our food. Once it got to 1.5 hours since we ordered we inquired again about our food and they had “lost” our order with the rush. They said no problem though because they would just refund us the food we didn’t get. So I was one upset pregnant tired lady considering they didn’t even discount the app or drinks. I am sure this place can have great food but from this sour experience we will not be returning in the future.
Amazing selection of draft and bottled beer. Good wings, burgers are fresh, not frozen and the nachos were good too. If you go through Windsor, definitely good place for pub style food and drinks
Great food good beer selection. Would eat here again!
Pub type grub in a pub type atmosphere; but top notch if you're into that type of thing.
Kyle was a great bartender, the hostess was also very involved
Amazing wings, with lots of choice and good deals. Very good burgers if you want something else and I always get the spin dip
We came 2x time in a day. For lunch and drinking in the midnight. I had a vegan burger, it was amazing, so tasty. They have tons of beers and whiskey options. Live music on saturday night (as long as I know).
Came here on the recommendation of great wings. Wings are battered, then "double-fried". The idea sounds great, but the wings tasted like they had been over-cooked double. Really didn't enjoy the taste or texture. Asked for wings to be tossed in sauce, they were served dry with sauce on the side. I can get past both of those; however, when my nearly full beer decided to dance itself off the cheap rubbermaid picnic tabletop, I wasn't offered another drink on the house. The waitress was super nice hence the 2 stars, but that was an amateur move. Won't be returning.
Wonderful experience. Great food, fast clean up. The whole service team was friendly, welcoming, easy and fit the atmosphere perfectly. We will be back. This is our new bar for this side of the bridge.
always a good time. there food is great, they are known for there chicken wings and they are big not the small ones where they charge you 75 cents. They also have 2 for 1 ! Wed and sundays i believe check them out ! Oh and there ceasers are to die for !
Great food. Great staff. The menu has a wide variety of options. We stopped by a couple times while there on business and we were really happy with the meals and the service every time. We'll definitely stop in again!
It's a long wait for food, but the wait is more than worth it! Plus with a great selection of amazing microbrews who cares about the wait!!
They don’t honor medical mask exemptions and that is segregation please reevaluate your policy to be inclusive of all people regardless of their medical status.
The best nachos I ever had and very good service. My opinion my be biased because I was drunk
Had a wonderful lunch there. They serve apple juice so I was highly impressed as I was able to order my Henny & apple juice. Will be returning to try the Shepard's Pie. The fried pickles were good too. Courtney was our waitress & she was the shizznit! I really like this place.
Good food, especially for a bar. Give their wings or perch a try.. they offer a large variety of wing sauces
Ordered 3/05/21 2lbs wings and full rack ribs with sides. While the rest of meal was good the ribs were awful. The meat had a "bad smell" that was obvious from opening box. All involved we very unhappy with ribs taste and sell.
We walked there from our hotel on the waterfront. Very nice place. Children can be there until 9pm. (I assume it turns more into a bar/club at that point. Very cool decor inside. There is seating outside if you like. My kids liked the televisions on different sporting events. Our server was Courtney and she was patient, knowledgeable and awesome. Great beer selection as well. We ordered the 2 pounds of wings and fries. They have plenty of variety but we just order Medium and they were the best wings I have had in years. My only regret was having to eat like a lady in public because I definitely wanted more wings. I definitely would recommend this restaurant.
We just got back from here. Was attended to promptly and was brought upstairs. Our server was friendly while taking our drink orders. After we placed our food order and bringing our drinks, she literally never came back to check on us. Food did take awhile and it was brought by someone else from downstairs, but it was pretty good. When we were done , we were still not checked on and were left just sitting there while she was focusing on another table. Not sure how busy it was downstairs but it wasn't too busy upstairs where we were. In fact, another server had noticed and helped us with the cleanup and bill. We're not in Windsor often but, this is the first and last time we will try The Loose Goose.
Wings are good, but nothing amazing, the server we had was very bad. She forgot about our wings and admitted to it. The wings were cold. On top of that she never came and checked on us until we were done our food which was 30 minutes later from the last time she came. We really wanted water refills but we were left dry till the end.
Had a ite to eat here with my daughter & granddaughters before a matinee show at the Chrysler Centre. The variety was good for all the tastes. Our waitress was fantastic.
While I have only tried the wings and a couple appetizers here, everything has been amazing. There's one waitress in particular there that has served me nearly every time I've been in and she's wonderful, too. However, the thing that I want to rant and rave about are the wings: they are some of the best wings in the entire city. Between the wings themselves, the choices of rubs and sauces, and the combination suggestions, I don't think I've ever had a better wing anywhere else in the city.
This place has so many specials during the week, starting with all you can eat wings on Monday! So it's always pretty busy and the atmosphere is great. I would suggest to try their mango habanero dry rub wings , I'm absolutely in love with them! Was a great suggestion from the server:) five starts!
First visit to Canada and these guys were very welcoming. Great food, good beer, and awesome people.
Great service, wonderful bartenders/servers, very professional, security is tight but amiable, incredible selection of drinks. There's even live entertainment on some nights. Probably the most high-class bar on the strip. Would highly recommend.
Went with some people during an open streets night downtown, and the hostess was a tough guy acting like a bouncer during the day when it was still light out and we just wanted to get dinner. He did a great job of making us want to spend our money elsewhere! Congrats buddy!
Best nachos in the city and also love the wing deals. Service is always great too!
Ok. I have to change my review from last year. 5 stars last year ... 2 this year. Service is still fantastic ... 5 stars, but food is 0 if you order anything other than chicken wings (and there ain't much on their menu), you're rolling the dice with respect to food quality. Pierogies were okay, but they were covered with some weird spice. Steak sandwich was probably worst one I've ever had, with the same weird spice on it (wasn't even steak ... more like gross, dried out roast beef on a dry crusty bun). The also have also offered exclusive beer rights to Molson. No more Bud Light. I most likely won't be back.
Great experience. Wings are great with lots of variety on dry rubs and sauces.
All I've tried is the poutine. So that's what I'm basing this on. It was just fine. Exactly the same as I found everywhere else in the city. We were shocked to find that this place wasn't crowded on Canada Day. So we grabbed a table for three upstairs. We chose the nook by the arcade game and window overlooking the street because we knew it would keep the little one very entertained. we saw other families with children there and certainly felt comfortable. The only weird thing....upon entering, I had the wrapper of a snack my son had just finished. We were immediately and abruptly informed that no outside food was allowed inside. I explained that it was empty and we were seated. I looked for a trash can to get rid of the wrapper, but saw none. Then again, our waitress noticed the wrapper and gave us the same harsh warning. I repeated my explanation and also mentioned I couldn’t find a trash can. She was then happy to get rid of it for me, but I thought the whole thing was kind of weird...
They had a great vibe and great drinks. Their Goose Grenade is amazing, you should definitely try it if you go here. They don't have a lot of variety in food, just your basic burgers, wraps, fries, onion rings, those kinda things.
These wings were absolutely dynamite! Living across from Buffalo, i have fairly high expectations of my wings, and these did not disappoint! The selection of beers on tap was also quite nice.
Good Food. Good Drinks. Nice staff. Nothing more to say.
Amazing food and great service. Couldn't fault it at all. Definately a must visit for anyone looking for a great place to eat.
The service here was very friendly. Some of the items are on the pricey side particularly the wings. There was some confusion when we ordered them as the amount charged was about $2 a wing. The server told us' when asked, that they were whole wings but they were not. Seemed to a genuine misunderstanding but we would have never ordered 7 wing dings for $14 LOL. However the food was good and the service was reasonably fast.
Best wings, hands down and love thst they keep patrons safe with COVID procedure in place
Very pleasant dining experience. Enjoyed our dinner. Wait staff were very attentive.
A great visit with friends-Amazing service- Amazing Perch Tacos-great wings! Go here when in Windsor!
Amazing chicken wings!!! My boyfriend and I went here when we stayed for a couple days in windsor. We went to this pub twice because it was soooooo good. The all you can eat wings is a bargain, and the quality is amazing.
Food was way better than what we expected from a pub. Huge selection of drinks!
Cool hangout pub near the water, with traditional Canadian pub cuisine turned to eleven. Makes you want to apply for refugee status and stay in Canada. The staff is friendly and attentive; not even the bartender was aloof to this singular Yank traveler. Note to the uneducated: Montreal Smoke is essentially pastrami, and essentially excellent.
Awesome atmosphere, layout can be pretty tight when busy, have to squeeze past waitresses. But everyone there is super nice, bartenders are great and funny! Their custom drinks are delicious and food is good. Love their wraps and chicken strips!!
Monday night wing nights need to be experienced! A multitude of favours and they are truly second to none. They are only bettered by a wait staff that make sure you do not leave there, wanting more! Well, until the next wings night!
Would not serve my friend with a medical mask exemption & would not even let them on the patio. I will not support any business that does not respect people with medical disabilities.
Loose Goose is a fun little place close to the riverfront. Extensive drink menu. Food was great. Best fish tacos we have ever had! We also tried the pierogis and French onion soup. Delish. Will definitely visit again when in Windsor.
Great food could have added something to separate my two kinds of wings tho
OMG the wings were really are good. Really meaty and good quality. Very friendly bartender. Like 2 lbs of wings for $15 or something and they let you combine their flavours.
I don't eat out often and I was invited to a birthday dinner so I obliged and attended. I was unaware that once your party is a certain number that you're obligated to leave a 18% tip minimum and then the debit machine asks again if I want to leave an additional tip? I would have left a tip regardless but being forced into the tip then being prompted again by the debit machine was a little rediculous in my opinion. However the wings were great that I ordered and I'd attend again just now in a party of 10.
Great attentive staff. 2 lbs for $19 wings are incredible. Happy to see this one survive the pandemic!
Wings are always big and very tasty! Love the variety in flavors. I also like that you can season your fries with their dry wing seasonings!
I've been going to Loose Goose downtown for probably 10+ years now and the service has always been wonderful and the food amazing. BUT I'm giving 2 Stars right now for the time being and allow me to explain. The quality of their food since the government shutdown had dropped drastically. It IS NOT the food you remember while sitting inside enjoying a pint or a shared spinach dip. The past 3 times we have ordered take-out 2-4-1 wings (several weeks apart) they have been DRY, the outside hard, some bones broken and the meat dry. From having restaurant kitchen experience I can tell you they are double deep frying wings that have sat out while waiting for orders. The fries just months ago used to be full potato and solid, now however they are the hollow inside crisped on the outside cheap frozen fries found at any grocery store on the bottom shelf. The poutine was somehow dry too, which is a hard feat for a poutine to be. Very disappointing lately. So why the 2 stars and not 1? I understand they might be having issues with old suppliers (I can't confirm this though) and that certain items may have to be altered? Also, I do very much enjoy the restaurant and its staff and I can't bring myself to give 1 star after all these years. Although the quality is just not there. It's saddening, but we wont be spending ANY more money at Loose Goose until they reopen for inside dining and get their act together.
Great vibe, food, beer. Cory (sp?) is an awesome bartender--somebody give this dude a raise! If you are staying at the Holiday Inn around the corner, this a great place to stumble back from if you find yourself "unstable enough" to drive.
Great bar just a short distance from our hotel (Best Western Waterfront) and from the river walk. I really enjoyed the "goose bites" with the garlic bread sauce. I would come here again if I was in the area.
Went during lunch hour and place was nice and quiet. Food was served very soon. Ordered a Spinach Wrap with chicken and side of fries. Their fries are so good. Loved it. Would visit again.
Head here for $6 burger night on Wednesdays. Great food and beer selection and friendly staff!
Food good. Loved wings no t the friendliest staff
Always enjoyed loose goose, have good wings and pub food. Went there recently and they had a couple beers ive never had before, asked the waitress if she could bring me a little sip of each so i can try them. She came back and said the owner (who was bartending) said it was a waste of beer and wouldnt give me the samples. i was a little shocked to say the least, ive been a waitress and worked in the industry for the past 9 years and never once heard that excuse and been refused a beer sample. Disappointed that loose goose would give that kind of service.. Our waitress was great tho!
If you're looking for the best wings in windsor, look no further. Not only are they large (~4-5" long), they have a huge selection of sauces and dry rubs for you to mix and match. Truly a great place to drink and dine.
Last time I was there May 8 afternoon, was really a bad experience.waiting staff do not give a thing, they pick and chose who they want to serve first. if you want good service in that place; set at the bar. the bartender ( forgot his name, has some kind of tattoos on his arms) very nice, professional and pleasant guy.
Friendly, quick service, wings are always a hit ! Forgot part of the order but didn't get charged ???? has happened before as well.
Food was excellent, service was mediocre at best. Wings, beef dip were good, the totchos were crazy good! I'd give it 5 stars if the service was good. We had to ask for drinks multiple times, needed water, barely saw the server. We had to wait even more for her to find the "reader thing that's around here somewhere" The only time we actually had the server at the table for any length of time was when she awkwardly stood at our table tapping her fingers looking up at the ceiling as we used the card reader
One of my favourite pubs in windsor. The true star of this bar is on Monday nights. They have a all you can eat wing special with a purchase of a drink which can be non alcoholic. The wings are abnormally large almost scary thinking about the size of the chicken that they must have come from. But They are amazing and always fresh cooked with a copious amount of sauces and dry rubs too pick from. As the the bar part. They have a great beer section but it is a little expensive but they are craft beers. If you are a whisky lover or want to try something new they have over 200 hundred different kinds of whisky to try. Along with the wings the food is great and the atmosphere is very enjoyable. One of the best bars in downtown and all of windsor.
Was in Windsor for a swim meet. Ran into this place and loved it. We sat upstairs and had a great server! Food was excellent. Good variety of beer and had the bourbon that I liked. What more could you ask for.
Chanty and Tyler. Great service and awesome food!
Close to the waterfront. They have a great selection of local and international beers and whiskey. Fish and Chips are the Friday special and 2 pieces with fries and coleslaw for $13 is a bargain. Beers are from $7.50 to $8.50, very reasonable.
The food is great, and reasonably priced. I'm particularly fond of their Chicken Caesar Salad, which is good enough to get my kid to frequently request that I bring it home for dinner. Their wings are the best in the city. Staff are always friendly and efficient, and the food arrives quickly (somewhat less so when they're REALLY busy, but not dramatically so, and I'd expect that anywhere). I honestly love this place.
This place is amazing.Best nachos and onion ring i ever had .i am vegetarian and i love this place, amazing food and very positive vibe ????????.will surly come here again.Must try
Limited beer menu. Served beer swiftly. Food was delayed over an hour with no support from the restaurant staff. We complained after an 1h after which they offered a rebate for our next visit. Food was acceptable, service was the second worst experience I've had in my life. If youd like to ruin your night, please head to loose goose, they will get it done right.
Great little place, friendly and very reasonable prices. Wings and fish and chips very good. Janet was our awesome server the first night. Five minute walk from Best Western Riverside. We loved it!
Visited this place while in Detroit came over the border and enjoyed lunch. The staff was nice, quick service and all the food we ate was great. Plain and simple make a stop for a few beers and snack.
Great vegetarian options (poutine, burger, wrap) & drink selection ????
Generally walked in and out. Sat down, staff stared at me. Two people came in and sat at a table 3 feet away. Immediately got menus and a server. A waitress walked by and then talked to another one for about 60 seconds pointing at my table. She finally came back and brought a menu and a beat up paper insert and said someone else would be my waitress. A minute later, two people came in and sat at the table directly next to me. The woman who brought my menus promptly took them menus and took their drink order. I asked about everything above and she made the excuse of sections. Maybe I didn't fit in? Minimally, awful service that made no sense. Hopefully you will have a better first 5 minutes there.
Finally made our way back here now that everything is open and can’t help but feel disappointed. I went for wings and while the flavour did not disappoint, the wings were smaller than usual, some of my favourite sauces were gone from the menu, and the additional 2$ for carrots and celery felt like a real gouge. I’ll try again in a few months hopefully these problems are fixed.
I love thier wings. I go there as often as possible for the wings. Very busy on mondays due to the all you can eat chucken wing deal but very well worth it if you call ahead of time.
We ordered online for pickup during lockdown #3. We were very impressed with the food. Very fresh and a good amount of it. We got 4 pounds of boneless wings (goose bites), a big side of fries, and a big side of onion rings all for $46 before tip and tax! Very good bargain for how much food you get and how fresh it was. We will for sure order again. Only thing I would recommend from what I have seen other restaurants do with the high amount of take out, is to poke holes in the top of the take out container for onion rings. They ended up being very soft because the steam didn't vent right. But the fries and wings were not soggy. Not sure why one was and not the other but it was great regardless. The best part is that the containers are all environmentally friendly.
I know it was a busy Saturday night, but I thought the hour and five minutes from the time we ordered to get our food was excessive! When it did finally arrive, my burger was burnt to a crisp, and the fries were lukewarm at best. We were initially seated at the bar next to a rowdy foursome of men who were very inebriated. The bartender continued to serve them as they got louder and more profane.
Excellant wings and a poutine that is to die foe. Definitely recomned this pub.
Never had a more educated bartender who really shows an appreciation for his craft! Saint Jimmy is my go to mixologist when I looking for a taste of something not commonly kept! Loose Goose all the way!
Been a couple of times while in Windsor. Food food, good selection of beverages and nice staff. Lots of recyclable take out containers and cutlery is a nice bonus
Solid bourbon/whiskey menu to go along with good pub food. Service was spot on as well.
Really enjoyed our quick meal before a show at the casino. Good pub food and beer selection. Generous portions. Had a busy Friday night vibe and lots of tvs.
Excellent food and drinks, two for one wing days, two floors. Their Scottish pub fare is delicious and well priced. Lots of wing sauces. Good place for a party or date. They also have an outdoor patio with a view of riverside. The servers are very polite and quick with the food and drinks. Definitely recommend as a casual place to go for food and drinks.
GREAT WINGS! However they get cold very fast so a tip I have is to warm the sauce before putting it on. I was also a bit put off by the employee asking for a vaccine passport right away instead of greeting me.
Good DT Windsor bar food! Decent draught brew selection. Bartender is always pleasant and makes sure we're smooth sailing. Expect better-than-average pub grub.. Try the beef dip! Will be back
Very busy and limited seats due to covid. Prices are fair and the environment is great!
Amazing food, amazing service. Beat wings in Windsor. Fantastic location, vast beer selection. My go-to
Best poutine I've ever had!! So damn good.
Love it! Amazing wings, 2 for 1 on Sunday, monday and Tuesdays, and I believe boneless wings are 2 for 1 on Thursday's Always games on the tv, I've seen basketball, football and hockey on three different TVs at the same time, and are good if you have something specific you want to see The spinach dip is bomb, well worth the price of it, be prepared though cause it is a little more expensive than other places. TL:DR - fantastic food, priced modestly and good value for what you get, great for anyone visiting town
Don't be rude and disgusting to anyone who is mask-exempt! You have no idea what their background is...you should be ashamed of yourself !
Employee openly drew attention to a table with a disabled person to yell out to the other patrons and let them know he won't serve disabled people, the owner stood behind the employee and openly supports not just discrimination but also mocking the disabled. Be wary of the positive reviews, in response to the video taken of the incident rather than apologize the owner asked for help drowning out negative reviews so that flagrant open discrimination against disabled people doesn't hurt his precious google reviews.
Waitress was fun & efficient. Loved the wings at this location.
Best wings I've ever had, especially considering it's all you can eat on mondays. Huge variety of sauces as well meaning there is a flavour for everyone on the heat scale. They also have incredible chicken sandwiches and wraps, their fries are delicious, and the have loads of delicious whiskeys and alcoholic beverages available. Great place to be with friends on any night.
In 2018 I witnessed the bartender help a patron harass a group of women. He poured them non alcoholic beverages and enabled the patrons harassment, even when the group of women were clearly uncomfortable. The patron was rude and incredibly inappropriate and nothing was done. The bartender was seen laughing with the clearly perverse patron who he assisted. I messaged this restaurant’s Facebook page, and they said they’d look into it. Zero follow up. This year this same staff member approached a woman without a mask, immediately aggressively upon her entry into the establishment. In this case, the woman had a medical exemption which prevented her from breathing correctly. Had the staff member approached her calmly instead of intimidating her, calling her foul names, and being forcefully rude, I am certain a peaceful resolution would’ve taken place. He is caught on camera getting entirely too close and aggressive, and admits that the restaurant refuses to serve her because of a disability. He even calls the owner, who supports his decision. The man on film states that the girl he’s harassing has to wear a mask while eating, even though she has a breathing condition. As someone from Windsor, who is intimately familiar with this restaurant and both of these incidents involving two different groups of women, I am writing this review to state that The Loose Goose promotes an unsafe environment for women and supports aggression conducted by male staff members. I will never support this business again and I encourage those who want a safe dining or drinking experience to seek it elsewhere.
Absolutely love this place. Great workers and amazing food. The wings here are the best in the city for sure
Went here for a boys dinner on a Friday night. We left disappointed. The first round of drinks was fine, everything after that was awful. We waited over 1 hour for food, and I had to order my second drink from the bar because the server never came back to check on our table. When we complained, the staff blamed the delay on the large group next to us and offered us a measley 15% discount on our next visit. Needless to say we won't be back.
Without any doubt best bar food in Windsor and service is really professional. Best wings I have ever had. Not cheapest bar but best.
Love the Loose Goose! Their food is always incredible & so is the service. Can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Always happy to be there. A staple of downtown :).
Good service. Lots of great beer choices on tap. The chicken fingers had just the right amount of breading and were not greasy at all. The fries were crisp and tasty. Decor could use a bit of updating.
Amazing wings! I just went there yesterday, and I got two pounds of wings for $15! I don't think I have found a better deal than that! Thank you! Good staff as well! Welcoming place to visit and eat
Went for lunch yesterday Had a fantastic lunch of French onion soup that was very good and clubhouse sandwich. Our server Tyler was excellent. I will definitely be returning.
Overpriced. Horrible Service. Greasy food. Staff and Management seem to have this attitude like they are the best place in Windsor. Probably a good place to drink but useless for anything else and don't even bother going for lunch. Too many other great places in Windsor to bother with this hole.
Do not honor bylaws for exemptions. Video of woman being harassed for not having her mask is circulating. Asking for an individuals medical condition that warrants an exemption is going to put you in hot water Mr. Manager. Hope the video goes goes viral. With all the shut downs, you need all the patrons you can get and should appreciate every single person walking through your door. Shame on you.
Good food, good drinks and very nice staff
Open during the week, and doing carry out. During co-vid closures Had the garlic bread wings, always the best. Thanks Dan and crew. Hope you can open soon.
Great food, awesome service. Two thumbs up
Best wings in town! Great staff, great environment, PLUS they don't let dummies with fake medical exemptions to COVID regulations into their restaurant! That's a big plus!
Excellent food wonderful ambience and cheerful heldful server. Me and my children had burgers while hubby had fish and chips. Everything was delicious. My husband's only regret is he ordered half a portion only. Definitely a place to visit and we certainly will again.
Went Feb 2 after reading reviews for some chicken wings. Service from Becky was great! Wings are the best and big. Inside was smaller than we imagined and a Pub style. If you stay at the Holiday Inn you get a 15% discount on food. Great time and would go there again. Thanks Becky ( from an old Spitfire )
Food wasn't great, waitress was too busy taking selfies with co workers, waited 30 minutes to get a drink refill... manager made it right. He was the best part, and he shouldn't have been the person making my night out, good.
Amazing wings. Great beer selection. The bartenders and staff are attentive and accommodating.
Great food and wonderful service. Lots of options to eat and drink. Would definitely recommend and return with my friends.
Picked up their wings for dinner tonight - wing special 2lbs for $14 on Mondays & Thursdays - contrary to what it says on the website you can order them to go. I ordered 4 lbs & they were the best wings I've had in a long time, maybe ever! Their dry rubs are delicious - we had white cheddar, dill & garlic parm dry rubs on 3 lbs & a Memphis sweet sauce on the 4th lb. All were delicious - big, juicy wings & crunchy coating even after sitting for close to a half hour before I got home & we actually sat down to eat. Great service as well, very fast. I've had their wings a few times before but these were the BEST! I will definitely order them again. I highly recommend them!
I am sure the food is as good as their downtown location but I didn’t want to wait forever to get a server. I had heard the same concerns from others that went to the lakeshore location. No organization, possibly under staffed - don’t think they could coordinate a 1 car funeral from that management team
The best wings around! The servers are amazing and the prices are even better!
Great local beer on tap, always rotating. Service is phenomenal as well. Perfect local watering hole.
If you are looking for good wings with numerous sauce choices come here. They have a large selection of whiskeys and lots of different craft beer on tap. Staff is very friendly and if you are stuck on what to order make sure you ask your server. They make great recommendations.
Wings were good but a little big for my liking
I love this place! They have a great atmosphere and the servers are always wonderful. The chicken wings are the best, but I have enjoyed many items on their menu over the years. Nice restaurant during the day and a fun place to get drunk on the weekend.
I dropped by and had the perch basket and my wife had the chicken club. Pretty good. The waitress was very kind and attentive.
We were looking for a late dinner and happened to see this place in downtown Windsor. Old building with that warm wood interior. Had fish and chips which were delicious. Only order the 2 piece if you have a huge appetite. One piece of fish was larger than the whole plate. Lightly breaded and crunchy with flaky well cooked haddock. Great prices too. American money is par in this establishment so use Canadian currency or use your credit card to get the best price. Great pour on the drinks too.
If it's busy, they will not serve all you can eat wings on Monday. The server told us that they will not be serving "all you can eat" wings because there were too many people ordering wings. I was only able to get 2 pounds of wings instead. Attended Sept 17 2018
Went to the Loose Goose on a Saturday night with a some friends. Noticed that there were quite a few TVs with mostly the Basketball games on. Noticed that there were some tables wearing wings or leafs jerseys and the table across from mine requested that the game be put on so that they could watch it from where they sat. As I am not a basketball fan and loosely follow hockey I wasn’t too concerned one way or the other. My friends and I had fairly good service from our worker but what caused me to give this place two stars was the lack of professionalism from another waitress. A group of guys came in asking for the basketball game and when the waitress pointed out that the table next to them was watching hockey she told them not to worry about it because the other table was “ being really demanding“. I know that has nothing to do with our table but I think that’s rather rude to say about customers to other customers ... I can only imagine what sort of things she said out of customer earshot. On a side note: the bathrooms did appear to be a bit on the messy side. One bathroom had urine almost filled in the toilet brush holder and the floor was soaked all around the toilet. I know it’s a bar but they could be maintained more frequently on a Saturday’s night.
Easy 5/5 4 dollar vodka bombs and Jameson's always get the night started right ... Fantastic beer selection too, on tap and bottles . Always something for everyone here. The food leaves you craving more always and you can tell the care put into the menu. Great portion sizes too... love the nachos. The patio is prime location for anyone who enjoys the Detroit skyline view. The sunsets are AMAZING. Also a second floor , with long bar. Great and cozy no matter where you sit. Service is fantastic . Always willing to give advice , and work hard to ensure I'm happy! A busy bar is a happy bar and I'm impressed with how well they handle the rushes! Loose goose is a must try in Windsor . It's even better the second time , somehow !
Totally casual atmosphere, amazing staff. I stopped in for lunch and a beer, food was great, staff eager to serve & friendly. I was impressed and will be back soon :)
We were sitting at the outdoor picnic table when the waitress came to take our orders. I asked what is on tap but instead the waitress, named Mady, told me that the menu is on the table. It was taped to the table about 4 feet from me. In order to see it, I would have to get up and walk around the table and ask my friends to move so I can see it. So instead I asked her if she could just tell me what's on tap but she repeated that the menu is taped to the table. Even my friends politely asked her to just tell me but she wouldn't. Luckily, I guessed that there is OV on tap so that's what I got. One of the friends was visiting from Chicago and she couldn't believe what service can be like here in Windsor.
Best chicken wings in the city. Other bar food options are also top notch. Drink list is impressive and prices are fair. A good place to watch a hockey game with friends or even a fun date night spot.
Was there on Saturday night. Was watching the leafs and red wings game on their big screen TVs. They even had the sound for the game on. Watched some college basketball as well. Looked like half the crowd was there for the hockey game and the other was there for the basketball. With that many TVs I was happy to be able to watch both. Food and service were on point. I highly recommend this spot for watching sports.
I love the food here. It has changed over the years, but there are still some pretty great choices. I usually go for the nachos. They use fresh ingredients and the salsa tastes great. (They used to have amazing pulled pork nachos but have since replaced the pulled pork with tex mex chicken. I dont mind the chicken, but I wish they would bring back the pulled pork.) The poutine is really good. They use fresh cut fries, vegetarian gravy and cheese curds. It's probably one of the best here in Windsor.
Unbelievable selection of whiskey and scotch. Decent beer selection, but huge oversight: they don't serve Goose Island IPA. Daughter says live music here Sat. eveni gs, have to come back and listen. Good menu selection. Wife said fish tacos were tasty, but cold. Our guest raved about burger. I got nachos which were quite good but lots of cheese, a necessity sometimes overlooked by other restaurants.
Yummy wings. Decent poutine! Id skip the chicken wrap.
Awesome choice of beer on tap, the best wings ever, they are large and taste so wonderful! Service is always fantastic! Love
I live in Redford which is outside Detroit, we come to Canada fairly frequent, we stop here to eat at least once. Sometimes twice in a day or a visit. Staff very friendly and food is always amazing.
Big fan of the wing deal days! The “Hot Parm” is my favourite wing sauce here. If you aren’t too crazy of an eater I’d recommend the 2-4-1 instead of the all you can eat because you can actually take your leftovers home!
Super friendly staff! Enormous food portions! More carefully curated liquor selections then I have ever seen in my life. Please visit to see this, if nothing else...Very Highly Recommended :)
Tyler and the other staff were awesome. Fantastic wings as always!
Nice bar. I really like there. they have great wings .
The Loose Goose has a great beer and liquor selection. The food was tasty, I highly recommend the Poutine. The service was friendly and helpful. This is a great spot to grab lunch and a drink when visiting Windsor.
Great selection of beers on tap. Had the perch tacos...very tasty and lots. Ordered sweet potatoe fries to go with them...too much food for me. The tacos would have been plenty. Great service also. Going back for sure. All 4 of us.
Best wings in town! I recommend to come on Mondays because they have endless wings on Monday’s. They have so many different types of wing sauces. My favourite is the hot Parmesan. The Siracha is too hot for me. They have a flavour for everyone. My favourite thing about this place is that it’s kid friendly. I bring my kids in the afternoon all the time so they can enjoy the delicious foods! Staff is very kind and accommodating for my picky eaters. Thank you!
