Went in for weekend happy hour (like they offer it 7 days a week) . Interesting, different appies that were really tasty. Friendly service and manager stopped by to chat and check in which was a nice personal touch. Liked that the music wasn't super loud so made it easy for talking. Nice atmosphere and will definitely return.

It was our first time to Showshaa and we went to celebrate our dad's birthday. The staff were all so friendly especially our server Ayesh, she was very helpful and so pleasant. The food looked as amazing as it was delicious, really well priced too! We're sure to be back again and again!

We loved everything about the experience. Our server was helpful and attentive. The Manager came over with suggestions for our mains. The food presentation was top notch and the flavours were spot on. Spicy was spicy without being obnoxious. Loved our entire meal including dessert and margaritas.

I really enjoyed dining at this restaurant and highly recommend it. The food was very tasty. The staff is very professional and courteous. I got my food reasonably quickly (although the restaurant was very busy). The chef came out and checked on us and was very friendly. I really recommend their Dal Makhani although the other dishes were equally well prepared. This is definitely going to be a restaurant that I would visit very regularly now.

Food was very good! Was a bit skeptical with the assortment at first, but they really pull off the fusion. Indian food was delicious as was the Mexican food (we went on Mexican night). Would definitely recommend the crispy fish tacos! Super delicious.

Automatic18% tip and no mention of it. To me that is just trying to rip you off. The bill for 2 people, my wife and I, had an 18% gratuity added, which was a lot for the service given. 1st waitress was quite good, she must have gone home as the second waitress was poor. eg. Our poured beers sat out waiting for 10 minutes before being delivered even though the place was empty. This "taphouse" had 7 beers on tap. I did like the fish Pakora but the rest was just OK. Even there at happy hour , with 2 beers each and 4 plates of appetizers (between us), our total bill was just under $100.

I drove by the other day and noticed a sign advertising their unlimited lunch special. I went in today, mistakenly thinking it was a buffet. It was so much better than that. It was a platter of either veg or non veg. I chose the veg. It was amazing. Wonderful flavours with a nice variety, good size portions and it even includes desert. I thought it was reasonably priced, too. Arun was lovely. Although it was my first time there, I noticed he treats everyone like they are both a dear friend and his best customer and he does so in a very sincere way. Between the food and the service, absolutely I will be back, and bringing friends and family with me so they can discover this hidden gem.

I gave ShowShaa their first review in the summer of 2017, in fact, I put in the PIN. Still is the best restaurant around and one of my personal favourites. The ShowShaa chefs are always coming up with different recipes that have a pleasing creative flavour. Our food arrives at the table at a nice temperature and recently we met the new manager. Great job as always.

A great restaurant run by experienced professionals. If you want to taste a truly authentic Indian Cuisine then choosing Showshaa is a no-brainer. Unlike other restaurants in the town, this restaurant is managed by experienced chefs. It's not only the best value for money in town when it comes to authentic Indian food, the ambience and the service would simply blow your mind. A definite 10+ rating. I would strongly recommend their Dal Makhani and Butter Chicken.

Recently as a family of 8 went for dinner. We had a memorable experience. Inspite of busy time( weekend) and being fully booked, the staff was very courteous and were able to accommodate us when we called. The menu was great with good food selections, the food was very authentic Indian, ordered veg and non- veg dishes with fresh wheat Paranthas and Naans. Right portion size and very delicious, customized to the preferred spice level. Very impressed by host - Aman who was genuinely taking care of the guests - young, intelligent man with the right attitude... way to go! Our server Emily was very pleasant, aware and quick with service. Overall great ambience, food and drinks! So far my top choice for Indian fine dining experience. Well done!thank you for giving us a pleasant experience:)

It was a bad experience with food was below average tasting compare to previous times, told the waiter about one the dishes ordered was no good instead of replacing he said we'll do batter job next time. Wow! Excellent service and food! It seemed i was waited on hand and foot, which made me and my family feel like royalty! Simply the best butter chicken and lamb vindaloo I've ever had. My ONLY disappointment, is that my stomach wasn't big enough for MORE! Very nice ambiance and the pricing was under par for the level of service, quality and speed of food served! Definitely worth the trip, even from America! I want to go back but im still full! Wow, were we ever pleasantly surprised by the Showshaa Taproom. The food was exceptional. I did not realize it had changed hands and was not aware they had a lot of Indian inspired cuisine...yes definitely with a twist but fabulous ones. The service was also excellent, they even went out of their way to make me a special dish of sautéed veggies as I am on a diet. It was delicious! All the staff were super nice and helpful. This will definitely be my go to place! I was surprised tho, that more people were not there for their Friday happy hour, such excellent deals, and I wouldn't even mind paying full price!

Service was terrible!!!!!!! To begin, it was a long time before someone took our order. Second, the young lady who took our order was completely unfriendly. If she is unable to serve a customer well, she should seek position elsewhere or simply remain in the back. Thirdly, no one offered us plates for Chole Bathure after we had appetisers. After a while, my friend called one of the girl and requested plates, who was simply chit-chatting sitting at the reception!!!! Then plates were brought to us. In general, if you guys pay attention to all consumers in the evening, why would you ignore afternoon customers?

First off to wash them was great very modern and dark the way I like it. Took my father here for the lunch buffet it was decent I may go back if I was very hungry but for the flavor is mediocre but it makes sense for the price. When I come back here? Perhaps since I live only a couple blocks away. The waitress was okay she was somewhat helpful but didn't really attend to us much.

Nice resto and bar. Run by experienced chefs who are very knowledgeable and experienced. Unlike other bars, the staff here is very well aware of various types of drinks. I had been looking for a perfect Long Island and my search was finally over when I met Shyam who told me the story behind the drink and the crew at the bar made the perfect Long island. Delicious snacks along with an excellent ambience. This is my go to bar now. Good job guys!

Went in for dinner and drinks tonight. I live down the street and our past experience before wasn’t great, we decided to give this place another chance and I am so glad we did! The wine was great, the server Claudia was amazing, the manager Arun even took care of a complimentary dessert for us, as it was my birthday! Very glad we came back and gave this place another chance, everyone there was amazing and truly showed they cared to be there! This is going to be our new spot! ☺️

Walked in to this restaurant just after 7PM on a Saturday. The restaurant was not even half full. The patio had only a few tables remaining. We were seated on the patio. Our server albeit friendly and seemingly knowledgeable of the menu was a little delayed getting to the table, the initial round of drinks ordered (beers) took sometime and offerings of second rounds was slow. The food was warm, not overly flavourful and some of the items ordered were just plain odd which Included one of the sizzle plates with shrimp. The vegetraian wings per recommendation were actually quite good. The goat curry was ok. Try for yourself, we won't rush back

Spent a few hours here with some work mates. It's a nice little spot, kind of trendy I guess, but comfortable. Servers were friendly and attentive and food was good. Little disappointed that they had no chicken (weird?) so we weren't able to try any chicken dishes. Server also offered us some drinks that they didn't actually have, but not a big deal. Happy hour prices were good, but outside of that the prices were a little bit high. Overall I liked it and would probably return!

Went here for the first time. The interior was ok, seating was not so great as we cannot adjust the table and chair according to our need so for 3 people it was very tight. We ordered golgappa shots which were great, highly recommend but other than that we ordered 2 soya chaamp, paneer tikka, malai kofta, and brownie with ice cream. We didn’t like any of it. And the service was also too slow. They really need to look into their flavours.

**PRO** Fun place, decent happy hour (3-6pm = $4 beer & $5 wine). Love the complimentary puff crackers + sauce. Friendly service. **CON** Their appetizer cocktail samosas taste like they came from a President’s Choice box.. and, it’s not really a “Tap House” I could only see 6-8 taps + the beer selection is kinda weak. HOWEVER, I can tell they take pride in their restaurant and service. I will return.

Update so I used to love this place but the food has gotten too spicy, the place isn't spic and span clean as it used to be and dependent on the server, the service is either excellent or mediocre. The food is consistent but not as melt in your mouth as it used to be. Beer is still good though.

Hidden charge on unlimited lunch special!!! The menu clearly said it’s unlimited and there were no extra charge. Unfortunately, after one refill of the fish the waitress told us kitchen said they have to charge us $1 extra for every refill of the fish. Ask to speak to a manager and there was no manager on duty. First time there n never going back again!!!!!!!

The appetizers were good. But everything else after that was really bad. There was no flavour. There was no salt and no spice. They really need to work on getting the authentic Indian taste because I really wanted Indian food and I felt like I could get this quality from a frozen Indian dinner. Hello hello!! Although I did like the place but the real hassle was to reach the exact location without getting fooled by "Google Maps". I'm sure you (Showshaa Management) would have received a lot of feedback on Google Maps suggesting a U-turn right from the intersection. Unsure why you never suggested an Edit or Update. Step up your game guys:-) I've suggested an Edit! Once completed, hopefully Showshaa lovers will no longer go through such hassle. On a positive note: The beetroot Chaat was fabulous!! I'd recommend it!!

Went there for the first time yesterday and was very impressed with the entire setup. Food tasted good. We had ordered for Gol gappas with vodka shots. Chilly chicken and Lemon and garlic fish. The portion sizes were good and for two of us all this was quite filling. The place has a good ambience with the correct lighting, neither too dark to see what you are eating nor too bright to hamper the privacy. Music was also just right, audible and not too loud to interfere with the personal talk. Overall a good place to visit with friends and close ones

Wonderful visit. Visited over the Canada day long weekend as a group of 8 and were seated quick. Service was a bit slow since the place was quiet busy but the food made up for the wait. Everything from there appies to entrées tasted wonderful with a twist to Indian fusion dishes. Live DJ keeps the beats going for a wonderful atmosphere, a lot of detail went into the design of the restaurant and the food was resonably priced. Definately worth a visit.

Came here for dinner and ordered two of their curries. Flavour was okay, Highway dhaba chicken was a bit salty. They came as a meal set so the portions made sense but other wise I could see why some may consider it on the smaller end. I did enjoy the two sides that came with the main dishes. Service is good.

We have lived near the South Surrey location for a few years and have never tried this place. We decided to get take out tonight and ordered the 3 course meal for 2 for $40. Unbelievable value. We chose vegan teriyaki wings as our appetizer and couldn't believe how good they were. We chose two vegetarian paneer dishes as our mains and they were hot, fresh and delicious. 2 full orders of naan came with it and rice as well. I can't believe we've never been here! It looks really nice inside so next time we will go in. Highly recommend.

I don’t understand how the tables were assigned to servers, and this was the worst management i have ever seen. Long wait for someone to show up with a blank face to take the order. 15 minute wait for coffee refill, long wait for food to arrive.Nobody checks for refill or if you need something.Horrible!!!!!!!Won’t recommend.

Service was great! Food was good but too spicy. I asked for spicy though but didn't realise it would be so hot compared to other Indian places. We had a unique incident while there when a lady walked up to our table without talking to staff first and asked us if we can move and she can find her lost ring in our booth. We were quite impressed how the staff and management intervened promptly and handled the whole situation professionally and also apologised profusely to us for the interruption.

My visit to Showshaa with friends was simply amazing. The food is off the charts and our server was genuine and had great knowledge of the menu. The cocktails were unique and there was something for everyone. Sunny was able to assist with getting us a great table and help us decide with the many different food selections. Had a great dinner at Showshaa. Loved that they bring papadums for guests to munch on while perusing the menus - very UK. Liked the fact that they offered cuisine from all over India as we just tend to get Punjabi food or Dhosa places here in Surrey. Service was good, servers were pleasant but efficient. Wouldn't recommend sitting in a booth unless it is broad daylight, the lighting is poor, we ended up using the flashlights on our cell phones to read the menu.

A very classy restaurant with reasonably good food to make a great evening for those private and precious moments in our lives. We found the staff very friendly and welcoming from the moment we stepped in, while ordering, while being served and as we relished the good food. Our order for vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters and main course curries accompanied with assorted breads made for a great family dinner while the friendly waitress was always around to help or inquiring if we needed anything else. The only hiccup during the course of our dinner was that the support waitress could not get her counts right. We were a party of 5 and she kept on bringing the entire cutlery and plates in sets of 4 and we had to repeatedly remind her that we were a party of 5! No harm though, as we left satisfied.

The best tasting Indian food with a twist. Nothing better in Surrey, bar none! Any appy or entree with chicken is fantastic, though any with mutton or beef are a hit & miss. Nevertheless, the decor, ambience and service more than, make up for it. Prices are comparable to other similar establishments. Recommend it for lunch or dinner or just a light snack/drinks!!! Location could be better, hopefully will be in the future.

I can just say wow....I was here for my anniversary dinner and showsha made it special for me inspite of Christmas eve and pandemic they made all extra efforts to make my day special...I loved the sizzlers ,prawns ,and their special dish dynamite cauliflower... Staff is very polite and hardworking ...got our order in less then 20 min.and even they surprised us with special anniversary pastry ..the evening was spent well and just the way I wanted ..thank u everyone and will visit soon...????

I fell in love with this place at my first visit. Their food is awesome and have very different menu. If you want something other than naan and curry this is the place you should go to. I have many favourite dishes at this restaurant. I always order dynamite cauliflower and tacos when I go there. Any thing I have ordered from here tasted so good. Paneer sesame fingers and chef special paneer sizzlers are also very good.

Consistency is the key to any great restaurant. I find their food at a constant high quality and perfectly seasoned. There is a lot of a competition in the area from Indian restaurants but this place is definitely worth going out of the way for even if you are not local. I would give 10 stars if I could!

Showed up at 815pm for dinner. Was told by the hostess it would be a 20 minute wait. We agreed to wait so she proceeded to wrote down our name and number on a 'receipt'. We waited in our car until 9pm at which time we called them to ask why no one has called us. They clearly messed up on their end but did not admit it and just told us it would be only a 5 minute wait. We were finally seated at 910pm. The waiter asked if we needed anything immediately, we told them give us a few minutes. At 9:27pm we ended up walking out aftwe multiple wait staff walked by our table numerous times ignoring the fact we were just sitting there with closed menus. No consideration what so ever. I understand its Covid times but where is the customer service. I would have been happy with them telling me that they cant take anymore people rather than making me wait.

Overall: this is an incredible restaurant whether you’re looking for Indian food or great experience. Food: we ordered few appetizers and they were all amazing. We ordered a few happy hour appy’s too recommended by our server, and absolutely loved everything. Customer service: we had an issue with a sizzler we ordered. It was too peppery for our taste, and the service we received was great. They replaced it with something else, told us how our second pick might not be for us, as it’s supposed to be more peppery than last dish. Made some recommendations to try. Manager came by to check on us. We had to leave and decided not to get anything else in replacement, and they took it off our bill. Price: I think based on the quality of food and creativity, their prices are on point. Ambiance: restaurant has great decor and amazing music.

The menu has changed, so has the quality of food????. Staff is polite but having to ask for a water refill 3 times can get annoying. The staff wasn't considerate enough to help clean a glass of water that was spilt and didn't bother giving extra napkins after which was disappointing. Our overall experience was phenomenal! Here’s why - Paneer tikka sesame sticks and chutney was mind blowing. We tried the kabab platter, rogan josh, garlic naan and chicken biryani - everything was of great quality and the taste was on point, we requested the food to be made a bit spicy and the chef prepared it to perfection! Oooo how can I miss the tasty masala chai and Rasmalai that was delicately decorated with dried rose petals. Cocktail and moctails were superb. Lastly, I would like to mention that we received such a warm and friendly service. Thank you Anup, Ajitha and team ☺️????????. I would like to extend my gratitude to the people working there. Today, me and my brother came in and noticed that the restaurant was empty and I guess it was the Manager who came out of the kitchen and told us that the restaurant wasn't open yet, there is still half an hour left to open the restaurant. I told him that it would be a take out order, if it was possible to take it. Well to my utmost surprise, he took the order kindly, and took our contact information and told the exact amount of time it would take to prepare the order. Without making us feel awkward, the whole staff made us feel super comfortable and one of the servers even came out to help get food into the car. Kudos to Showshaa for their delicious food and presentation and most importantly, for the team work and the customer service, which is worth the appreciation. We felt welcomed and would always cherish the experience. Well done SHOWSHAA TEAM!!

I went there at 9:16PM. And they close at 10. The girl at the front said you will have 10 minutes to order and we said its okay we will be quick. Then she said it usually takes time to cook food and I repeated myself that don’t worry we will be quick to order. Then she replied let me check with the kitchen and then came up with the Takeout option. I was like you guys have time but she kept saying no that kitchen guys have to go home and kept apologizing. I understand that every restaurant have their own policies but 40 minutes early from closing time and still refusing to dine in is something I didn’t like.

The food and presentation were excellent but the service was abysmal. There is no salt and pepper on the tables and they don't have coasters. Our server kept forgetting parts of our order even though she wrote it down and we were only a table of four. She forgot to take our menus so we had to hand them to her and keep asking for water when she came by after ridiculously long intervals. The food was not brought out all at once and the naans were brought out last, about 15 mins after the first dish. The manager dropped by our table in between visits from our server and we asked for salt and a knife, neither of which was delivered to us. We went up to the bar to ask for salt and it was stuck to the bottom of the shaker. The quality of the food was not worth the bad service experience and I will not be coming here again.

I was there with my friends and one of my friend Came from Calgary to see us and we decided to go this place. Loved the food and service. My friend who come from Calgary give his Card to the manager and tell him that he will pay for the bill. At the end I talk to the server that I and my other friend will pay it because he is our guest and she said she already have one Card with her, then she checked with the manager and the manager came to us and said in front of our friend who was guest that he will not take payment from us, he will take payment from our guest friend card because as he handed it over. He took Card from the server and take payment by himself. Really disappointing as we are continually saying that dont take any payment from him. No doubt food and service was so good.

I am not able to find showshaa 2 review page on google. Just want to tell one thing. Amazing food amazing servers. Very polite and sweet. Last time we were server by a beard guy, ai forgot his name. This time the girl Raman served us. Both are awesome. But this time I have come across an issue that I realized when I reached home. On a table of 4, gratuity was added. The girl was very sweet and nice. But she didn’t inform us that she is already adding tip on our bill. I didn’t even know what gratuity is. Next day my brother told me that it’s tip. So please from next time be more clear and transparent. Happened for the first time, i expect it won’t be repeated again.

Interesting presentation of food. We ordered couple of food items of which we liked some and some were just alright. Malai Paneer Tikka was a disappointment and could have been better. The starters were amazing. We tried cocktail samosas. The portion size was good the samosas were flavourful. The green chutney was super tasty. The soya chaap lived up to expectations. They serve it sizzler style. The soya chunks were flavouful, soft and perfectly cooked. Their version of pav bhaji was commendable. The bhaji was tangy, mildly spiced and full of butter. I was super surprised by the gol gappa shots. Loved the presentation. The pani was one of the best I have had in Vancouver or even in Mumbai. Kudos to the chef. We were expecting to be blown off with the main courses. However the paneer tikka masala was surprisingly average. Nothing to write elaborate for this dish. All I could taste was the grated ginger on the top. Dal Makhni did salvage the main course. Mildly spiced and creamy, it had a soothing flavour. The rotis were the pick of the batch. Thin and crispy, just as I like them. Overall a good experience but a tad expensive.

I’m continuously impressed by the quality of the food. I’ve been frequenting Showshaa for 2 years now. The quality (and attention) dipped in late 2019 - maybe they were working too hard on their new Scott Rd location. But they’re back with a bang. Their kebab platters, biryani by the kilo and beer selections are top notch. Showshaa IMO is not Punjabi fare, it’s more representative of metro Delhi tastes. Comes close to beating the gold standard (Tasty Indian Bistro) in the lower mainland. Good job Showshaa - hat tip to your chefs and cooks.

Very common things like water and napkins came after asking multiple times. There were no plates and cutlery even after food was placed on the table. I was looking to try something different and away from the normal we visit around Langley. Looked up top 10 in Surrey and this one came up. It did NOT disappoint! First the atmosphere is on point with being modern and trendy with great music. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who was one of the best waitresses we’ve probably ever had. I told her it was the first time there and suggested to her she become our ‘dinner designer’ and she did it perfectly. We had Spiced prawns, salt and pepper wings a Garlic sizzler dish along with a couple of drinks and finished nicely by a tasty parfait dessert. All chosen by her bc they were the flavours of India but with infusion. Incredible! The owner and bartender also came over to welcome us with a quick hello. Very hospitable. Lovely! Overall it made for a great experience. We will definitely be back again! ❤️????????

You'll never regret having the showshaa chef special sizzler with chicken tikka and fries served in szechuan sauce, and the brownie and icecream sizzler! The golguppa shots have been tastier than expected, and the beer os commendable! Loved the service girl Sehaj, and other staff was sure to come in and check upon us! Lovely evening, not so loud, smooth.

Not bad at all. We went here simply because it was on our way home and the food was actually quite flavourful. The value was good, and ultimately, we left satisfied after a good meal. The service was decent enough, however, the servers seem quite young and not overly intuitive to our needs. Perhaps some inexperience. It seems that the two servers we had may have been the owner's daughters, but this is just speculation. The only negative aspect of our experience was that the restaurant wasn't overly "clean" feeling. The tables were sticky, etc. If you're after a valuable and tasty meal, this place will definitely satisfy your needs, but for a "night out" experience, you certainly could find an establishment with more mature and intuitive service standards and a place a little cleaner. Overall a positive experience though.

The food was delicious and presented in way the ancient Maharajas of Punjab probably ate. I had the Non-Veg lunch special, it was a decent size portion and was left content after finishing my meal. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere and decor is cool and it has somewhat of a Bollywood movie set or studio theme to it. I will be back for more eats.

Was entertaining a few guests from out of town on friday night and was pleasantly surprised by what they had to offer for food and service. Few highlights of our visit - Unbelievably good appetizers and the presentation. no-one offers the kind of taste or the selection - professional staff who know how to treat the guest right (unlike any other indian restaurant in town) - very little overlap in curries. everything has a distinct taste . again unlike any other place . butter chicken is like none other. the best of the lot - they have some interesting stuff going on which no other place does like there is a mini bottle service for select liquors, gol gappas and samosas coming out in mini carts The only negative probably is they were out of a few beers on tap which we really wanted to try out. The owner pays personal visit to all tables which made us feel special. All in all a great hidden gem. will visit again soon!

Been here before when it opened and they were fairly confused with service and some of the dinner items so I left unimpressed. Went back recently to give it another go and the restaurant was fairly quiet so one would think you get some half decent service. But nope it got worse as soon we sat down. No cutlery offered or napkins. Offered water after a few minutes. Got to order and the prawns were really good, but asked them to make em spicy and they came out anything but spicy. Then wondered why no one would come ask how the food was and if we wanted to order more or even get a glass of water. Told the Manager that his service was pathetic and he was busy checking on the other table beside like he knew them and not caring to check on other people visiting. Sadly I wont be going back but I can see why people love this place as there isnt many other options in that area for Indian food. Wont be back and Shoshaa needs a new manager and some staff. Hopefully another restaurant opens soon and these guys realize the poor business they run. 2 thumbs down

No stars! No possibility of giving zero star, so stopped at giving a single star! After hearing a lot about this place, four of us went before hand calling and reserving space. When we reached, nobody bothered in spite of our telling we had a reservation and we were counted as ‘also came’ groups! It took about 20 minutes to get our seats! Server made a good impression to begin with, and we placed our order right away, as we had already decided our menu during the 20 minutes waiting time! Food arrived reasonably almost in15 minutes. We had a huge surprise, as we looked at the portions. We were expecting somewhat a decent quantity for the prices we had looked at the menu! Way off! Expensive and minimal portions! Food taste was ok. Out of items we ordered, we had lamb shank vindaloo, but it tasted quite tangy and sour! Didn’t pass the test! We were looking after the initial round of Rotis for the next and final round! We had to battle it out with many people before we got it after a good 20 minutes! In restaurant business, it is essential to maintain consistency from the day it starts, when it comes to food quality, pricing, portions and service delivery, otherwise you start losing patrons! Watch out! I sure won’t go again and won’t recommend to any of my relatives and friends for sure!

I visited the restaurant last night with some of my friends. The view was nice. We ordered some appetizers which were delicious. But, when we ordered the main course( Malai Kofta with naan and some lachha parantha), we just fed up at that time. Because they took about 35-40 minutes to prepare it. We all were tired of waiting and just wanted to cancel our order. But then the staff said it will take only 2 minutes even after, we had to wait for 5 more minutes. We were really upset and I just wanted to run from the place. Even I didn’t like the quality of our main course. This was my first visit and for sure the last visit there. I would never recommend it to any of my friends. It’s just waste of your money.

Im saying this purely as a customer, I have no stake in this business. I was so impressed by the whole experience. The food was exactly what it is advertised as, modern yet authentic indian taste. Very beautiful scenery around the venue. But most of all, the general manager Sunny. I have never seen customer service of this level. He didn't beat around the bush when it came to the menu. He understands his customer and exactly how to cater to them. And coming from a straight guy, he's handsome as well!

Its a decent restaurant but when asked for a bit more sauce ( the sauce was less to begin with) with the masala fries, I was asked to pay $1 extra. Who charges extra for a small 10 mg cup of sauce? I used to go to this place regularly from Coquitlam to South Surrey to get the Biryani. However last week when I ordered the Biryani, maybe because it was the end of the day - their portion size decreased drastically. If their was less biryani available they could have told me while I was ordering or given a discount. Instead they did not say anything and charged me the full $40. Once I reached home and saw the quantity - I called them, I was told that they would make it right the next time and that they have my details written down as a priority. I called them today and was told that they have no such information and that there is no issue. When persisted they said they will call me later and get more details. I recommended this place to a lot of my friends and will surely be retracting my recommendation. The service level has dropped and if they have started duping people by quantity - who knows if the quality is going down too.

Stopped by looking for quick meal...not what I expected but pleasantly surprised. East Indian cuisine with traditional dishes and some with a modern twist. Ordered the tandoori chicken tacos with the house salad and mango dressing. As well as the Lamb Popsicles, ask for a side of yogurt dip as this dish is spicy! Service was excellent and definitely filling a different niche in the pub world.

World class food and service. We have been ordering through skip the dishes from this restaurant for a couple of months now and went to dine in for the first time on a wednesday night. It was pretty busy but the food came on time. server was polite and checked on us a few times to make sure we were doing ok. Good appetizer, very different then other Indian restaurants we have been too. Liked the atmosphere, good selection of food. Parking was good. Resturant had a nice Vibe to it. Direction there were slightly incorrect but that's not really the restaurants fault. The bathrooms were very clever and nicely put together. The reason I didn't give a 5 was because service was a little slow in getting our drinks and the beers stated best in the world but in my opinion they we not. Otherwise very good place highly recommended but a little pricy.

This weekend we went to try Showshaa for dine in with my family (South Surrey location) COVID-19 rules are in place and tables are separated from other table. This modern taproom is very different from other India restaurants and dining experience is unforgettable with my family. Food is so unique and delicious. Service is amazing. We start of house special cocktails and Schezwan potato fries. For our entrees we order mixed grill platter( chicken tikka, tandoori fish, mutton seekh kebab) kebab are delicious and juiciest kebabs I ever had???????? and Triple sichuan rice( fried rice and noodles served with spicy sichuan sauce) I highly recommend some one who wants to try tapas style food, drinks, kebabs and dining experience. Overall my family had a great time at the restaurant.

I visited this place in 2019. I liked the food and the service so much that I complimented the server with much appreciation. I dined at this place last Saturday 0ct. 03 for the second time as my daughter visited us and chose to take us there as it was her favorite place. But the experience this time was very bad and unforgettable. Hopeless service!! After a twenty minute wait for a table, we were offered a high table with high legged chairs. We had our 70 year old mother with us. We were told that we had to Wait more if we needed a low seating. Anyway, my mother agreed to sit on that chair with our assistance. We understand there was no other table available. We ordered three appetizers which each came after we had finished the first one. But they were ordered together as we all had different choices. Then came the meal: the typical Indian meal with two veggies and rotis. We ordered four rotis out of which only one was served, which we divided into three (my daughter had ordered a burger for herself). We were thinking that we will order more rotis if needed after finishing these four. We waited for ten minutes, but the rest of the rotis didn't come. The server Ashu did not care to check with us if we needed anything. He did make a couple of visits to the people on the table behind us, but did not come to us. After waiting for another five minutes, we started eating the veggies as they were getting cold and we too couldn't resist our hunger. In the meantime, we kept looking around for a server to remind them what they needed to do. Ashu did come after a long wait and said that it wasn't his fault, it were the cooks. He left but didn't bring the food. The main attendant at the front then came to us and asked if there was something missing. I told him about the whole thing. He went to the kitchen and immediately brought fresh hot rotis. But I was in no mood to eat now. He promised to bring fresh veggies as well but I told him we were no more hungry as we had filled ourself with veggies and water. This was my first time in my life that I did not attach any tip with my payment at a restaurant. I feel very sorry for making that decision because I would never wish to do that. I wonder if the cooks did not just make our rotis but made everything else for the rest of the Indian families dining there at that time. I'm sorry for writing so long, but this has been an unforgettable experience. Spending your money but not being served your food. I'm not going back to this place.

Our group of 11 (including 3 small children) had the privilege of being seated in the private room. We had amazing service and since we arrived at 4, we got a special on appetizers so tried several. All were excellent. Everyone had an amazing meal. Make sure to check on spiciness if spices bother you as the chef will adjust them for you. The chef also adjusted one menu item so it was vegan. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I went there at 9.35 on June 17 , 2021 . All the empty tables were dirty . When I asked them for 1 table, 1st they said ok but when I came back after washing my hands , they refused to serve me as it was 9.37 pm .I asked that you are open till 10.00 pm but their Manager or server was saying that they will not take any customer now bcoz its 9.37 pm even though they are open till 10pm . What a bad customer service

Bombay style pav bhaji is not actually Bombay style, they names it as it is famous in India, but it is very far from authantic Bombay style. Customer services is worst. Never going back. I was not happy about the food and service when I was there last time. First of all we waited for 45 minutes for the food to arrive and food was very cold when it was served. The butter chicken gravy was very runny. Overall it was not a good experience after spending around 175 dollars for my anniversary lunch. I am the same guy who gave a 5 star review on your page when I celebrated my anniversary last year at your restaurant. your serving staff and cooks need some training.

The food is quite okay. It off the 3 times I have ordered, the last one was pretty awful as the special chicken tasted old and funny tasting paneer too. Otherwise, I have ordered curries and wraps both chicken and paneer which tasted really nice. Although, some of the items are really overpriced in some of them they make it up with the portions. Except for the momos, didn't know would have to order at least 4 portions for one person.

Food was good, Ambience is fine, there Patio seating is really uncomfortable, avoid it, if possible, ordered two sizzlers one China Town and other Chefs Showshaa, both were good, portion was enough for 2 adults and 2 kids, we reached late around closing time, so could not plan for the main course. Will try the main course next time. Though staff was courteous but they were more busy in personal talks, maybe because of closing time. But, they should definitely improve upon this.

Showshaa pulled all the stops. We were greeted right away, and despite a packed dining room were shown to our table within 5 min. Paapar in the cutest little toy truck, but the sauce was to die for. I would buy a truckful of that sauce. Definitely going back just for that sauce. Service was amazing and timed perfectly. Our mains arrived just as we finished our apps. We had apple pie samosas (sacrilige, I know) for dessert, but so good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ????/10. Will be visiting again soon.

Fantastic neighborhood place, delicious creative food and warm-professional hospitality. Me and my wife love this place and been coming here regularly. The food is the best and the menu shows the creative and trendy take on the popular Indian food. Last evening was no different and despite being overwhelmed with festive rush and its demands, the owner and team were very warm, accommodative and professional , ensuring COVID safety protocols. As usual we enjoyed our Mumbai prawns and lemon garlic fish, Rogan Josh and old Delhi butter chicken. The new chocolate dessert is delicious - decadent but we LOVE the sticky toffee pudding the best! Went to meet friends for happy hour at 3 this afternoon only to find that the cook came and told us the restaurant didn’t open til 4 even though the sign on the window said that they open at 1130. I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had a delightful waitress, Jaspreet . She had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and the bartender made amazing, unique cocktails. On top of that she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and honestly made the experience so much better with her customer service and helped me find gluten free options that wouldn’t have cross- contamination. As for the food it was a solid okay, the lamb comes well done unless specified, (which I found out after the fact) so probably my bad on that for not asking. The flavors were great however and the sauce helped it not taste dry at least. Would be a solid 5 stars if the meat wasn’t overcooked and the spicy dish had a lot more heat to it.

Great place for different appetisers.. we went on a Sunday evening at 6.30pm.. Appetisers were awesome, however we had to wait over an hr for put main meal.. There excuse was they didn't anticipate it to be so busy!!!! That was the manager!! The main meal portions very small and average quality. We ordered dessert which came relatively quickly but how long does it take to cut a slice of cake At the time our bill came it was 9.30 and the restaurant was empty. I asked to see the manager, there was another manager . So I went to speak to him and he says when he realised how long we waited for our main meals he rushed the dessert.. The slices of cake umm I them told him that at the point he should have come to the table and offered his apology. Overall experience.. 4/10 and that for the appetiser If want quality good Indian food main dishes go else where.

This place offers unique dishes compared to other local restaurants which offer mostly North Indian dishes. We attended with family for my aunt's birthday. The food was seriously overpriced for the amount you receive. I would suggest attending for appies, or for dinner with one or two others. I definitely would not go back with a large group. I have visited this establishment twice and I can confidently say that, the food is quite delicious and innovative. I have absolutely no complaints about the food and would give it a rating of 5/5. The customer service, on the other hand, is a solid 0/5. The staff have absolutely no sense in how to greet, or serve customers. This place states that they are open until 11 but in reality, they're open until 10:15pm with the latter part of the happy hour starting at 10. Upon our arrival at about 10pm, the very first thing we were told by our hostess/waitress is that its almost last call for food and that we would have to order right away and once our order is placed, we cannot order anything else. What kind of place does this? Why advertise that you are open until 11pm if we can't even order anything beyond 10:15pm? The food here is great but please work on your customer service and train your staff on how to treat customers. 3/5 overall; food 5/5.

We really enjoy all of the different food they have, and some amazing spins on some classic favourites! We can not wait until we go back again soon! I ordered from Showshaa through Door Dash a month ago and only now have made time to post a review. I’d never eaten or ordered from the restaurants previously so was happy to try it out in the recommendation of a friend. The flavours were generally good in all dishes but I had terrible indigestion after which I rarely do. I think the food was just too rich for my taste. I was also extremely shocked to that the vegetable korma dish was almost ALL sauce with a couple of small potatoes and about four very shall pieces of other vegetables - it was more like a soup yet even soup should have more vegetables in it! That was an incredible disappointment. The beef and chicken dishes tasted okay but had huge hunks of beef - very weird in my mind. The same was the case with the chicken dish. The beef and chicken seemed to have been added to the sauce rather than cooked so as to take on the flavours. I’ve had much better Indian good.

Before I went to Showshaa, I thought I have been to the best Indian Restaurants (Tasty, spice 72, Tandoori Flames etc,.) but I was wrong. If someone is looking for great Indian food with an authenticity, SHOWSHAA is the place guys. Starting with the Ambience to Customer Service and the presentation of food I would rate them 10/10. The food has accurate amount of spices which makes the food Flavorful. I have been at Showshaa Consistently for 2 days as I could not get over the Taste of the Food. Highly RECOMMEND if someone is looking for a quality Indian Food. Looking forward to re-visit. :D

How amazing these guys are! It was my Karwa Chauth fast (i did not get a chance to tell them this) and was looking for no onion no garlic curries. The manager (or whoever was on the line) said we generally don’t make but let me see what we can make for you. How about paneer bhurji and adraki gobi? I said yes! And what mind blowing curries they were !! I wasn’t expecting this at all and was totally amazed! So so delicious, the masalas were just perfect. Felt like Mom made it. Please say a big thank you to your staff and to your chef - it just made my festival successful! Looking forward to visiting them soon for our Diwali parties !

Food was good but the service was terrible. I got just the curry and no roti or rice for 10 minutes. In their defense we were a large party (10 people), on week day afternoon. And some of the other people in the group did get both curry and naan at the same time. Three of us got just without any rice or roti!! It was not possible to get their attention either, seemed like just one person trying to serve and she was busy inside the kitchen I guess. That was not fun but the food was good and I will like to try it again.

We had our wedding anniversary dinner but were seriously disappointed! The food is over-priced and full of oil. We ordered golgappa shots, Chef's showshaa, Chinatown and Vindaloo bowl (to go) and kulfi. They gave us one bill for all the food (eat-in and take-out) thus making us pay more tip than we should have. I must tell you that the food was much below standards and very oily. The waitress had no knowledge about the dishes. Delhi belly beer was flat and tasteless. It was not the best experience. Would not recommend it for your special occasion!

The staff was very polite and the service was excellent. Our server Alisha did a great job. She was very attentive and considerate. She checked up on us continuously and gave us great recommendations. We did not feel rushed toward the end of our stay and she even let us finish the football game we were watching. All in all it was a great experience for my first visit and I will gladly eat here again.

First time ordered our food from showshaa in surrey location . Absolutely amazing and delicious food. Definitely the service was awesome . Must go if u want good indian food. I have been living in BC for 3 years this was by far the best indian food i have eaton . Specially Butter chicken its not full of sugar and actually taste like butter chicken. The food was just ok with couple of appetisers. Customer service has dropped since opening of the new location. Please don’t loose your regulars. We love to come here. We have also been recommending this place to our close ones. Hope it goes back to where the standards were. Love the ambience

Food quality was above average but customer service was poor. I ordered a tandoori chicken burger but got a burger with a veggie patty instead. They adjusted for this mishap but on the second burger they forgot the lettuce. The coke was also very concentrated and sweet and I asked for a Sprite instead and they accommodated. Overall the food was okay and customer attention could be better.

So, i'm always looking for Gluten Friendly options at Restaurants from an intolerance and i am usually highly uneasy with trying new places. I also don't drive around. So i was on Skip, and usually on Skip, all the good gluten friendly options are closed after 8PM for delivery. Made an order at about 9:30pm and i was ready for it to be sloppy or something along that line. Totally wrong, this place is pretty awesome. They clearly label allergies on their menu. I got a Chef's Sizzler and a side salad, even although Skip sorta jerked me around and the food sat to get a little colder than wanted -- the flavors were impressive. I eat a good decent bit of Indian food and am used to people not seasoning their rice and relying on the main meal to give flavor. Their rice is fantastic, even slightly cold. The Cumin, Cardamon is there. The side salad came basically as a full course size salad at most places, and the Sizzler plate i got with Paneer was honestly delicious. I do not believe their Fries are Gluten Friendly, but i also did not confirm so i gave it to my friend who commented that the Fries too, were very well seasoned with Chili and a seemingly hand-made breading. Don't be afraid of the prices, the quantities are well sized and they clearly care quite a bit about the quality of the food. They didn't even cheap out on the take-out packaging, (They're buying good quality napkins, reinforced rope-handle bags and taking the time to mark each box with whats in it.) and it's these sort of tiny details that impressed me that a lot of Skip places... Well, they skip. I'll have to come stop in sometime, i can imagine the foods even better piping hot on a sizzler plate. Definitely will try again!

The ambience is wonderful and everything is delicious from the appetizers to the dessert.Their mango mojito ,Paneer sizzlers,dhaba Chicken and chocolate brownie are my personal favourites.Sehaj is super sweet and amazing service.
