Excellent uptown local pub with good pub style food, comfortable and spacious seating and an outside patio. Sawbucks is S.Surrey/White Rock's most serviced pub and is favourited by most pub seeking locals. They always have the games on, ( many tvs to view ), with the Canucks, NFL, MLB, NBA, or the UFC ppv cards or all other sporting events. Weekly entertainment and all the usual pub type things to enjoy like Keno, pull tabs, etc. Food and service are both very good and the atmosphere is always very friendly by all there staff. Great place to meet a friend or go yourself to catch a game or enjoy a drink and socialize. Overall a nice, friendly, well kept Pub that is known by all locals and serves good food by nice friendly servers etc.

The Bennett Pub I have been many times before and have had great food and service. Not sure why, but service was very slow, and my food was not cooked properly. Will.go.again, it might of been an off night or just that server.

Me and my girlfriend have been steady customers of Sawbucks for a few years now. we keep going back cause it is the type of environment that you want to have drinks in very good food,very friendly service. never once have I had bad service or been displeased with any of the food or drinks it's a great place all around and I always recommend to my friends.they have all your pub needs such as keno,pulltabs(my gf has won $500 four times),cigarette vending machine & bank machine. They have bands every second saturday and karaoke on fridays. its a great place I recommend it .

Place is good for the daily specials and the sports tv. One thing I did not like was on Nacho night. I made an half order since I was by myself. The waitress asked if I wanted chicken or beef with my nachos. I said chicken but when the bill came I was charged an extra 5 dollars on a 9 dollar nacho order. She never told me the beef or chicken was extra.????

I have been to Sawbucks on numerous occasions either on my own with my wife or in a group. I find the service , quality of the food and all round ambience of the place first class. The entertainment is also of the highest order. I would recommend Sawbucks to any of my friends for a quality night out

We just got back from the UK and visited many Pubs. None of them match what our local ( Sawbucks) offers. This Pub is not just for the younger generation, we are 75 and find a: Great atmosphere, great Staff, great Service, great Food, great Menu, great deals, Fantastic Beer and a great variety of entertainment. They have never let us down.

Used to be a good place back in the day, place has a drab environment, felt really unwelcome, the macdonalds drive thru down the road had more personality. It's like management just gave up and said, meh, good enough.

Very disappointing Wings were over done like they were sitting and refried. Asked for extra sauce, willing to pay 50cents extra. Barely 50% coverage. Can't stand the coke product they are now using, definitely not coke cola. Also ordered Reuben, stated lean, loaded with fat. Use to be a good place for food. Time to find a new place.

We had a great time at this pub. The staff were friendly, the food was good and the atmosphere was fun! It was Halloween weekend so of course people were out to have a great time. The only downside of this pub is the parking. Very limited # if stalls and a lot of restricted parking around the building.

It makes me think how hygienic they really are. Also they seem to be in your face about forced medical treatment. Best wings in Town!!.. Unbeatable drink specials and phenomenal happy hour menu.. So far rated best food quality in a 10km radius.. Props to the kitchen for their speed and we'll prepared food. Generally a busy social house with crowds ranging from 28-65 years of age allowing for an excellent range of comfort. Exceptional brunch menu with a variety of options but again must stress the flavors are unmatched.. lol yea an egg is an egg but it's what you do with the said egg.. This venue is a little underrated but thankfully for that fact, I don't like lineups..

Horrible brunch at Sawbucks today - I ordered a simple breakfast scrambled eggs, pan fries, ham and toast . The eggs were stringy, a dirty colour, the ham was the size of a hockey card, toast was hard and the potatoes were cold. My wife’s meal was no better - cold. Disappointed

Great place to go. Good food & staff. Lots of people our age ( 71 & 72 ). Very friendly patrons. One comment on the utensils, I think they bought them at Value Village. had the steak sandwich on Sunday & while I was holding the fork to cut my steak & bun it bent like tissue. The steak knife was good but the forks leave a lot to be desired. Just thought I would through this out there. I ended up using 3 forks as the 1st 2 wrapped had crooked ends.

Second time here, couldn't resist having the Sawbucks hamburger again with Yam fries, Delicious again. First time with group of friends after theater, everyone liked their choice. Second time with one guest who liked the Ruben (little salty). Waitresses are pleasant, Atmosphere is fun, Decor lovely. Hope I can make it to some music nights. Only suggestion, maybe have some areas quieter (TVs Blaring) for those who want to talk.

I would have given 5 stars, because the service and food was great. I dropped a star because the music playing was just not appropriate. They need to look at the average age of their patrons and realise that dance music is likely not what they want to hear. The average age was probably 40+. Music yes, a constant dance beat, no thanks.

I've been a couple of times, just for drinks, the staff have always been really attentive (without being pushy) and look as though they really enjoy being at work. This Saturday I went for the Beatles tribute night, and dinner. It was a brilliant night, the place was so busy, with a party atmosphere, the food was gorgeous, the staff just as cheerful even though they were rushed off their feet. Will definitely be back, lots more dishes to try :-)

A neighbourhood pub just like you'd expect. Good service. Great happy hour specials. The menu is a typical pub menu. Nothing fancy and reasonably priced. My favourite thing about Sawbucks is that they occasionally they bring in the best local cover bands and don't charge a cover. Always makes for a fun night out with friends.

Sawbucks is your classic middle ground Pub. They have an okay beer list with sometimes a good rotating craft beer. Their food is not terrible by any means but theres probably a few too many things on the menu and some meals are much better than others. Wings wednesdays is always great with a good selection of different dry rubs and sauces and the wings are actually cheap! They play all the major sports on the many T.Vs they have so find an area of the bar showing the game you want to watch usually isnt a problem. Its a 3 star bar because when you leave if someone were to ask you what you would give it out of 5 you will more than likely say "I dont knooowww, I guess 3 stars?"

Had the honey garlic wings here on Nov 11 which were quite tasty with just the right amount of sauce and crunchiness. The tile floors were very slick and almost slipped on several occasions when visiting the restroom throughout the evening. Atmosphere was quite low energy so we ended up going to another place later in the night. Solid place overall.

Went Karaoke for the first time. First time that a host doesn't sing. Not only that, I really look at the order of things when it comes to the singer's. The first rotation didn't get to sing their 2nd until 2 hours later. It was obvious that she has regulars and they were up within an hour twice. I watched people go up to talk to her ask where they were in the mix. There was as much DJ music then there was singer's. Karaoke is about people having a night out and letting themselves loose. We live in White Rock and always go to Sawbucks, but we will no longer be visiting this establishment.

Everybody has their favorite neighborhood Pub and Sawbuck's happens to be mine. Even though I moved out of the neighborhood, I still follow the Pub, often attend events and eat there whenever possible. I love their Fish and Chips and Wing Nites. Also love their special prices. I think the great staff and a strong management contribute significantly to the popularity of Sawbuck's so I keep going.

Friendly,professional service. Nice service...a busy place with many regular daily and evening guest as well as known for its good food and especially the wings and soups..seafood chowder, por ejemplo...a great eatery. Wings awesome and so are the steaks..Red Rooster from BC Okanagan is a nice red wine provider or brand. I can recommend. The pub has an interesting venue of entertainment...anything from Karaoke on Thursdays and stage with bands, on and off. My cousin had Ribs, they were cold, had to be sent back, Shepherds pie was a bowl of mashed potatoes, my short ribs were 30% fat with cold mashed potatoes and under cooked cold zucchini- I'm sure we'll go back to this pub to see the live music, but we'll defiantly eat somewhere else before we get there.

This is our 3rd time going here on Wing Wednesday and it never disappoints! Their staff is super fast given how insane busy it gets! Got there at 530 and it was packed! But found a table within a few minutes and had wings in front of us shortly after! The flavors were delish! I tried the tex Mex dry rub and it was definitely my fave! I'd recommend this pub for sure. There was a wide variety of ages which was nice to see! Definitely worth the trip from Aldergrove!

Takes forever to get served food which looks like it came from a microwave dinner from superstore. Servers are rude and take forever to check in and deliver food. Horrible workplace as I witnessed staff yelling at server over something that happened with previous shift.

Just left Sawbucks. Ordered 3 double Ceasars and the Clamato was watered down. The server came out and asked us if we wanted to replace it. Sent the half done Ceasars back as we waited for the owner to flush the lines. We get the bill and they charged us for all 6 as the owner said he found nothing wrong with it. The servers were great but this left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be coming back. Horrible management!

Probably my favourite Pub in White Rock, Surrey and Langley combined. The kitchen works some magic back there putting out phenomenal druel worthy dishes! This pub is full of great nightly entertainment including live bands, DJs on weekends and karaoke and trivia by Almost Famous Entertainment ....so much awesomeness comes out of that place!! Highly recommend swinging by and indulging in this White Rock highlight!!

We asked to reserve as a lg work group but were told no reservations. However when we got here there were several tables with reservation signs on them ( not for us) When our managers tried to hold a few tables the waitress was rude telling them they had regular customers. We were made to feel extremely unwelcome and went be returning. We will bring our group elsewhere. The service was very poor and òur waitress was unpleasant at the best of times, non accomidating.

One of the friendliest, comfortable pubs/bars I've been to in a long time. Went for the crabfest - food was great. I had the crab cakes which were really good - moist, seasoned well, cooked well, etc. My friends had the crab cob salad and they raved about it. So, definitely many more repeat visits for me since they're in walking distance of my home. Oh, and let's not forget the servers. They were friendly, efficient and made sure that we were well looked after. Highly recommend this neighbourhood pub - it's what pubs were intended to be - a sociable meeting place.

Sawbucks is a casual old school pub that, truthfully, looks a bit like a dive. But sometimes dives have the best food and that is definitely true in this case! Their menu includes pub stables like fish & chips, wings, and nachos, but also items like Pesto Chicken Flatbread and a Tater Tot Bowl. Went with a group of friends and we agreed everything tasted incredible. Plus their portions are HUGE! I highly recommend you give them a try.

I wish I was giving this pub a better review as I liked the food and wait service just fine. As for taking the safety of their patrons seriously, it gets low marks. My wife and I were harassed, threatened and constantly baggered and provoked by a drunk person during a live band performance. When we brought this to the attention of security, they did nothing. When we brought this to the attention of the wait staff, they informed security and stopped serving the person. But no orher action was taken. When harrassed a third time, it was clear we should leave the show as security was not going to stop the aggresive behavior or remove the person from the bar. Management should take notice.

Sawbucks is a nice, clean and cosy pub with a great atmosphere. Their food is delicious and their "happy hour" is every day from 2 - 5. Monday to Friday their appys are 1/2 price during "happy hour". Give Sawbucks a try, you won't be disappointed.

Worst pub ever. I was completely disrespected when I was there. Don't waste your time, money or energy on this place because they do not care.

While the service is quite good I have been disappointed with the food in my last two meals. I had the Guinness stew with 2 pieces of meat. Yesterday I had eggs Bennie that had hollandaise that no taste and the color was wrong. One my favorite meals and was a real disappointment. The last time here a friend had to send her meal back. I have never seen her do that in over 20 years. Time to move on to a new spot.

Always a great place to sit down and have a beer. Their steak sandwich is also very good. Only other thing I'd recommend is their fish and chips. But I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as good

I love it. First time there. The crowd is very varied and friendly. You have your seniors, younger folks, singles, married, gay, straight, cowboys, jocks, hippies, bikers, you name it....how a pub should be. Great food and comfortable. Chex- Mix of people! Lol

Everyone here is friendly, I’ve always had a fun time. The drinks and food are great and I’ve never had a bad experience. It’s a great place to go with friends for a meal and a drink.

Food is great, prices are reasonable and the entertainment is my favourite. Some singers are so good you can actually dance to the song. lol. The DJ is wonderful and plays excellent music you can dance too ranging from the 50’s to present time music for all ages.

Came here to eat and not from town, they had a temporary menu with limited options (which I can understand). Our server had limited knowledge of the menu and also took 15 minutes to give us our first drink. Our food arrived after a long wait and was mildly warm if that. Disappointed in the experience. Hopefully it is better when their kitchen is fully equiped to cater guests.

We usually do the afternoon scene. Great food and drink specials, half price appys and $3.00 beer. Same fast and friendly service. Nice place to kick back and not feel rushed.

Very disappointing when you go to this pub and have your jacket stolen. The bartender then said that this happens often. Not a safe environment if you can't go to an establishment and you have to keep your eye on everything - drink, coat, etc. What fun is that!

Wouldn't recommend it. When the ownership goes as far as to wish death on people who can't get vaccinated by sending them to Afghanistan, this place get's a permanent strike off my list. Lots of other places with good beers and burgers.

It's both insulting and discriminatory to unvaccinated Canadians — regardless of their reasons why, which could be medical and religious reasons — and it's insulting to Afghanistan and their current struggles. I have been a patron of Sawbucks for over 25 years. The pub is its best now! Great staff, safe, friendly environment and a cozy community feel. The new owners finally got it right!

My wife and I recently moved here from Duncan on Vancouver Island and have been looking for a friendly pub with good service, good food and drink at a reasonable price. On our first visit to Sawbuck's we found exactly what we were looking for. The pub is nice and clean, the wash rooms are very clean and the food we had was well done and very tasty so tonight we will go and try the fish & chips and will probably post a review on Urban Spoon.

First and last time I will spend money at a place where the serving staff seemed preoccupied with "regulars" and neglected my wife and I. The burger my wife ordered was , in her words, ok while mine was mediocre at best. The beer was cold but that should go without saying as it's a pub.

The fish and chips are GREAT. I asked for extra coleslaw.........but it is BETTER than the plain old coleslaw. For the price.......it can't be beat. Staff are always friendly........and our food ALWAYS comes to the table HOT. Keep up the great job Sawbucks!!!!

The Prime Rib dinner was at its best last eve. We enjoyed watching the hockey game, albeit the outcome wasn't desirable, but food and beverages and service was superb! We'll be back!

Ordered the shepherd's pie this evening as a take-away order and was very disappointed. For a $16 I was expecting the container to be more than half-full. It looked like a thawed-out dinner that had just been put in the microwave for me to pick up - and tasted like. it, too. Less than average quality meal, and nothing close to a portion that will feed a grown man. Ordering a 2nd meal from another restaurant tonight. Not worth the 20-minute round-trip to even take back once I got home and opened it.

It was my first time there. I got a newer server who seemed overwhelmed by the crowd and may have needed some coaching. To be honest it took too long to get my first beer (almost 20 minutes). Then to not be asked if I wanted food for over an hour and half... was extremely frustrating . Now that being said I will go again... hopefully the first impression won't be the lasting impression

First time there, not sure if service is that unorganized always or they were having a particularly bad night. My friend and l ordered our meals . They brought Us both something different from what we ordered after a very long wait... around an hour. We requested they bring us what we ordered... about 45 minutes later they again show up with the same wrong order... when our meals finally came yet another 35 minutes later it was pretty mediocre... the rest of our party had long finished eating and we were so not impressed...wouldn’t bother eating there again...not worth the trouble for sure

Tried for first time. Excellent wings but only one stick of celery and carrot. Disappointing potato skins. Very small wedges, warm but not as flavorful as should be.

A group of us were in there yesterday, labour day in the afternoon. Our server was terrific,(Bonny) but because it was so busy, it took a long time for our drinks to arrive. there was only one bartender to serve the whole pub including those who sit at the bar. The table next to ours was not happy about the service either. Too bad, because we would probably go back if the speed of service was better. I would think that they need to review their staffing levels.

I went here for karaoke with some friends and to be honest it's not the most friendly bar. Also the host did not sing and every other bar I'd been to the host would sing. Kind of odd, just didn't really fit with the karaoke scene.
