I enjoyed my experience playing Peace Portal! A very wide open course with a lot of room to roam! Whether you walk it or use a cart (makes it a lot better post round experience); great rates and quality cuts on the greens / fairways! The staff all seemed very friendly and accommodating.
It's a good coarse
Good.

Beautiful course, perfect mixture of fun and challenging
Played a round in the summer. Decent fairways. Good price
A very hilly course - good exercise course lol. My son helped me to pushing my golf cart . Good greens but wet fairways. Good chipping practice green. Friendly and helpful proahop staff.
(Translated) The characteristic is that there is a big groove in the court. Up and down, blind holes, big trees beside fairways will all bring you challenges. (Original) 特色的是球场里有个大沟。上上下下、盲洞、球道边的大树都会给你带来挑战。
So nice golf course.
fire
Tough course even if you hit the fairways because your lie is always never flat. Greens are very flat.
Fun par three great for starters. Clean and friendly
I first golfed at 'Portal' over 40 years ago and have played many many times since then. Took my son to play and was disappointed with the conditioning. Peace Portal used to be perennially one of the top public courses in Canada. Tee boxes and greens were in somewhat poor condition. Also 6 1/2 hour round. One of the regulars in front said that the course was squeezing the gaps to get more people on. This is still a very good golf track, please restore it to a better condition. It deserves it.
It's like golfing in Stanley Park! Take a cart though.
(Translated) The towering trees are all over the course, the fairway setting is quite ingenious, the hitting is cool and comfortable, it is worth visiting! (Original) 參天大樹遍佈球場,球道設置頗有巧思,擊球涼爽舒適,值得照訪!
Challenging course. Lots of us and downs
Great treelined golf course. Lots of ups and downs through a steep gulley. It is a great walk.
Little wet for the time of year. But we have had alot of rain. Beautiful course and cant wait to play it again
Thought it would be nicer.
Great old hilly golf corse. Enjoyed my day not my score
Amazing staff so kind, and always making you feel welcome. Food is good and always a clean facility.
Watery
Very good parking place. The repair of Start tee box allmost. But green fee is economic price. But fairway area & on green not bed condition. Today is beautiful weather & beautiful Viewing & small Pretty animal.
I love this course! You would never know you were close to a city. The course has deep valleys where you tee off from one side and hope it lands on the top of the other side! You need to be ready for a decent walk .
Can't go wrong here, great layout with a variety of holes and shots to be made. Very undulating course with lots of mature trees, can be a hard walk if you are not in shape. Consistent greens that are tricky to read if you don't play it often.
Small Par 3. Perfectly shaded for a sunny day.
Course was in good shape. A number of Tee Boxes closed as it appears they were either resoded or topdressed/ overseeded. Green's in good shape. Grounds crew out doing spring cleanup. Some warm weather and course should be in great shape. I will be back this week.
If you haven't golfed this course ... then I can't describe what your missing...
I like the par 3 but don’t bother showing up to play unless you’re at least 15 mins early before close. Guy at par 3 closes thing up early even though I called and he said “last tee off is 6pm”. Showed up and said they were already closed. I said I was the one who phoned but didn’t care to let us play. Said machine was already turned off.
This is a very enjoyable golf course. However it you don't like walking up and down hills pushing your cart you should rent a power cart. Every hole is unique and interesting. The clubhouse is not new and fancy but it is very comfortable and enjoyable with good service. The outdoor seating area is very pleasant. It is very close to the ocean - perhaps 100 metres away. Therefore it is cooler than other golf courses on hot days. They have a very good deal on late afternoon or early evening golf.
A great place near the USA border

Staff is super friendly, very cheap, very fun, fairly well maintained!
Very hilly that's why funny.
Clean, quiet par 3
Traffic, traffic and even more traffic...????
Not pet friendly
Great course but muddy
(Translated) The design of the course is good, but the maintenance is too poor, it can only be regarded as maintenance. During the epidemic, it is also difficult to book the course. I hope that this course can greatly improve the fairway greens. A good embryo requires careful maintenance and Maintenance can reflect the value! (Original) 球场的设计是不错的,可惜保养太差,只能算是维持. 在疫情期间这样的保养也是一样很难订到球场. 期待这个球场能大力改善球道果岭,一个好胚子,更需要精心维护和保养才能体现价值!
challenging
We are avid golfers who had not played Peace Portal in 4 years. We did not enjoy the front 9 due to the layout. Large ravines run through 4 or 5 of the holes on the front 9, and most 2nd shots have to be hit on an upslope or downslope regardless of how accurate you are off the tee. A few tee boxes are 80+ yards away from where the the previous green is. We found that strange. The back nine was much better - challenging but fair, and with less unecessary gulleys and blind shots. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Amazing!
Owners need to spend some money!
Pretty short yardage for a par 3 and some of the greens were in pretty bad shape. Some fun holes though! Good for a quick round after work
Best shot makers course in the Lower Mainland. Very mature course. If you can play this course well, you can most any others in the Lower Mainland well.
Super course all great condition
VERY CONGESTED
Wonderful little par 3. The course is kept nicely and it's perfect for brushing up on your skills or just a quick fun round.
Challenging golf course - no matter how many times you play, there are no easy shots!
Great course, challenging but not overly tough. Lots of hills...good to know where to lay up on certain holes to avoid difficult lies
4th hole in. 3 groups backed up… No marshals around. Greens were thick like a fairway, and the fairways were pretty much the rough. Also the tee boxes was just patches of dirt. Paid the same price as Fraserview in Vancouver. Played 4.5 hours and only was able to complete 15 holes. I guess the owners are just trying to squeeze every last bit of revenue since it is up for sale. What a shame.
One of the best public golf courses in the lower mainland
Challenging course with lots of undulations.. have to be pretty fit to walk the course. I like the tree lined fairways..

My fave course. Big trees. Nice holes . Lots of hills though so some people don't like that
Course is nice, in good shape. A bit short, but I suppose being a Par 3 shouldn't have expectations of longer holes
Great place to approach Jesus.
Beautiful course with rolling hills and the upkeep of the course is phenomenal
Loved it.
Great layout, challenging
Great course, very challenging and well kept. If you're playing more than one round, take a cart. The second round has bigger hills!
Played here for the first time last weekend after a rainy week. Fairways were in good shape. Greens were decent. Surprised by the elevation changes. Its a workout walking the course. A cart is definitely recommended.
Beautiful course and challenging course narrower than usual fairways, lots of shade as in wooded area.
Ok
First one here on a Sunday awesome rates great staff
This is a very, very unfriendly golf course, our family and 9 year old daughter to come over to play, my daughter have taken lessons with a coach for two years. They refused to let my daughter to play, but this golf course, did not explicitly told clients, children are not allowed there, is not specified, the children to play must play a hole here no more than 12 minutes, the staff speak very unfriendly, severely hurt my child's feelings, he made my daughter very sad, also affect the mood of our family, which let us feel the racial discrimination, we in Canada, this is the first time met people that treat children so bad!
One of the oldest courses in the Vancouver area. Great course, good challenge and always in good shape. Will keep coming back. Drainage seems pretty good.
Bed green condition.
Course is in fantastic shape and the staff were extremely helpful. Congrats to Bob on his hole in one on the 7th!
Beautiful patch of paradise
The greens were too soft and slow, even during the heat. The fairways could use a little more TLC. Not the Peace Portal Golf course I've come to know fro many years back.
My first time here and it was really nice. The course is short but challenging. I recommend this course to everyone!
Great golf course with mature aged trees. Beautiful place to spend 4-5 hours chasing a little white ball. ????️♂️
Easy to book tee time and fair price.

Course is in great shape.
Course is in great shape...love playing here!!
Well keeped course
A walk on the park
Course is in good shape, kudos to the greeenskeepers. A few mean flag placements recently! On a 50 foot green they don't have to put the flag 5 feet from the edge on a slope! This is a challenging course, lot of ups and downs and a few good doglegs. Decent food in the restaurant. Great value at $28 for afternoon starts. I'd play here again! I'll give you 5 stars if you hire a beer cart!
Will never play here again. started our round at 2:30pm in September, more then enough time to get 18 holes in, however we only got 16 done. At one hole, there was 4 groups waiting to play. No marshal, tee boxes and greens were in terrible shape. No staff was there to talk to after our round so we couldn't even ask for our money back. Extremely disappointed.
Great par 3. Well maintained.
good
Well maintained course. Super hilly! If you don't want to walk and climb the hills, reserve a cart for your game.
One of the best golf course in lower mainland
Always forget how much I like this classic North American treed course layout. One of my favorite local courses.
Not wild about this course. You can hit a perfect tee shot, and have an approach sitting on a 30 degree angle. I recommend taking a cart, too, it's quite hilly.
An interesting course, a challenge.
Good
Best value. One of the hardest par 4 holes in Canada!!
Brutal experience. Can you give no stars? Attitude from the start at the pro shop sucked. Then they start sending groups out what seems like every 4 minutes. Bottom line a 5 HOUR ROUND IS UNACCEPTABLE! When we complained for the 5th time about the slow round and ask if the Marshall is doing something about it we are told there is no Marshall. What a joke. Course is average at best. Greens are in good condition but fairways were rock hard and the constant up and down made the course unbearable. Lack of a Marshall is unacceptable these days. NEVER GOING TO PLAY AGAIN.
Very pleasant people works ng at Peace Portal. The weather was great and course was in pretty good condition. All-in-all, an enjoyable day.
Beautiful course! Definitely visit again
Bad castummer service and prices are so expensive comparing of Newcastle golf club.
Fantastic course. Reasonable price. Crew works hard to keep it in great shape all year.
(Translated) The fairway distance is enough, challenging, dense woods, and changing greens. (Original) 球道距離夠,有挑戰性,茂密的樹林,多變化的果嶺。
Apalled by the poor conditions. This course was amazing 20-30 yrs ago but everytime I return it gets worse and worse. Recently played...awful greens, fairways shaggy and the tee boxes are pretty much bare dirt. Sad to see a quality venue go so downhill. Don't blame covid. Other local courses are in much better condition. Maybe it's for sale??? Shrug.
Nice course great play
Horrible course for the price. Completely soaked and muddy. Tee box and fairway is probably the worst I've played in years. Greens were decent.
(Translated) The pair is wide and the trees are thick~~~^^ (Original) 페어가 넓고 나무가 울창~~~^^
Love the course love the people I meet once there
One of my favorite course!
Love the wide fairways with steep hills. Great course.
Tee box and green conditions are quite... variable... to put it kindly. But I really like this course. I really like the layout and how mature the trees are on the course... you can tell its an old course that's been in that footprint for years. I like that feel to a course personally. It's challenging because of how hilly some holes are - you will definitely get to practice every lie - ball above your feet/below your feet, uphil/downhill lie.. hitting blind where you can't see the flag on your approach.. Those holes are offset by some fairly easy straight forward ones. I would recommend a power cart. We played 2 rounds at the end of April, and our group was mixed with walkers and power cart... the walkers who regularlly walk courses were really feeling it on the back 9. Value was great for us... we timed it to be able to squeeze 18 just before darkness. We managed 17 one day, 18 the other... $20 weekday price... $31 on the weekend! I guess because of the timing of our round, we didn't experience waiting some others experienced during prime hours... Overall... the course needs a lot more TLC to take it up a tier with the better courses in the lower mainland.... but it is a fun course with a good atmosphere that we found to be great off-peak value.
Beautiful golf course
I didn't really expect much from this course, right on the border of the USA and Canada, but was pleasantly surprised. It is relatively short, but deceivingly so because of the huge undulations of terrain in the area. There is also quite a bit of mature stand trees lining the fairways, and the combination of these makes for blind tee shots, very changeable lies on the fairways and rough, creative shots from under the trees, and a need to be accurate when going for the grees as they are usually located on the tops of hills with much slope away from the hole, and hard to hold on to the green unless you are within 10feet of the dome of the hill. The track is relatively moist, although it did rain the evening before; was quite muddy in places and the greens were very soft and slow. The time we played, you could be very aggressive in your approaches as the ground would soak up all the bounce. Because of the moist conditions, the bunkers were hard. There is a small putting green to warm up as well as hitting nets to get in the swing of things before you start your round. Just down the road before you come into the course, there is a separate driving range you could visit before turning into the course. The course appeared full, but the play was relatively quick and we finished in 4h38min without waiting too much. Value for money was quite good, but of course, this course is as far from Vancouver city center as you can get without going across the border in this direction. Would visit again!
Groups were well spaced out as we never had to wait at any hole which allowed our foursome to finish in not much more than 4 hours. The holes are long with fairways with undulation. The sand traps must have been very well placed as I found them often ????. A few of the tee boxes and greens have seen better days, but an enjoyable course to play nonetheless. Will return.
Great historic course. Needs some TLC. Price is right.
The course is in absolutely horrible condition. Thankfully it has been sold and hopefully the new owners will restore it to its former glory. Anyone giving it 4 and 5 star reviews is either paying paid to do so, are friends of the now former owners or have no clue of what they're talking about.
Nice course
My son who was up most of the night finally fell asleep in the car. I stopped here because the parking lot was empty (apart from 2-3 cars) and I was feeling drowsy. A staff member just came out and insisted I leave. I explained that my son was napping and I was feeling drowsy so I stopped (also up all night). His response was “the parking lot is for customers only”. Sure am glad to know how much they care about community members I’ll be sure to never come back. I had to give it one star ⭐️ otherwise google wouldn’t post my review. But my actual review is ZERO STARS ⭐️
(Translated) It is fun because the course up-down is severe, but the power cart is recommended for seniors. BUT... due to lack of power cart 60% availability.. (Original) 코스 업다운이 심해서 재미는 있지만 시니어분 들은 파워카트 추천 BUT..파워카트 부족으로 이용 가능성 60% 정도임..

Love this place. Exercise and golf
Beautiful, even in the rain
Nice course, great condition, almost no yardage markers is super frustrating
Nice throw back course
As Much as I like the game of golf I was not there but caught at the border coming back to Canada, here's a tip stay out of the extreme left lane as that's where they process walking public and we waited until they process four or more people. The lane next to us processed 14 cars to 3 in the left lane.

Peace Portal is one of the best golf courses in the lower mainland. You will enjoy this open yet challenging course. Only 4 stars as they don't have beer cart on this course.
Love love love this course it's so much fun best par 3 I've been to Maxine is awesome very friendly
Peace Portal is not the easiest course to play but it's one of the best in the lower mainland. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to play a challenging game.
One of my favorite local courses. Can be expensive but worth it. Challenging and we'll maintained.
Challenging course
Great course but as of Jan. 23rd 2022 it's still too wet to enjoy.
Challenging course. Lots of upside and downs. A bit muddy but expected after the rains the past week. Repair works are underway on all of the tee boxes. Looking forward to the next round after winter.
Close to home and in good shape.
Its Peace portal whats not to like. Ps power cart recommended.
Great value, little mucky
We were treated like second class citizens...very snobby staff in the pro shop. Course was in terrible shape, one green has three previous holes not properly replaced. One previous hole was dried up and a gap around it. We were paired up with a member and a staff member who did not stop talking the entire four hours, no golf etiquette what so ever, smoked and drank the entire time. Will not return!
Great little scenic course. The Par 3!!
Updating, I believe it will become better next season.
Still some very wet areas, but the course is in good shape. I would play again and avoid the low areas if possible.
Very well kept
Tee boxes are pretty beat up Still weird covid protocol Sleemens beer was good and cold though on the 19th!????????️♂️????
Terrific course and had a great day.
picturesque course. undulating fairways. course is in very good condition and a great value for the money.
May 8th 2021. Really disappointed with the condition of the course. The greens are patchy and terrible. Several tee blocks have been neglected. They should be ashamed of themselves. More people playing golf than ever and they are just tucking the money in their pockets. Will never go back and I live 5 minutes away. What a shame
Price for the time of year
Have played this a few times and have to say I was really disappointed to see the course condition, especially the greens. 3 green was close to dead, little grass on the others, 2 putt rule needed. Tee boxes are coming along and you can see the work being done but the greens need serious love. The course is a classic, please give it love.
A cut above, fantastic course, great shape, excellent staff and well worth the drive from Port Coquitlam
Nice shape very good layout
Wonderful Family Friendly Par 3 Course!
Great course
Used to nice course, good layout, but now the green condition is getting worse, super slow, hole 4 is a par 3, there were 4 groups waiting.

Always great value and course
Greens are in really bad shape this year the rest of the course is a pleasure to view and play
Spectacular little challenging course!! We'll definitely be back soon!
Lots of hills, rent a cart
(Translated) Not recommended in winter. (Original) 겨울엔 비추천 .
One of the oldest golf courses in the lower mainland, greens we're just punched so putting was a challenge otherwise a great at a reasonable price.
????
Well kept fairways and greens. Nice and helpful staff.
Beautiful Park like course in the trees
Love this course. New tee boxes but they've let the greens go...especially on the front 9. Had them closed all winter and failed to get rid of the black stuff. Need to spend some money there
I don't think it's worth the money they want to play here. I hit the fairway nearly all day and ended up with poor lies in the fairway. Ive worked golf course maintenance, and there's not a lot being done to upkeep it. Just basic grass cutting is being done.
Very slow and no person on course to move on. Never play again,!!!! 4 hours to play 11 holes ridiculous. Leaving
Excellent traditional tree lined course. Much undulations with dog legs. Power cart preferred. Best to play in dry conditions.
Having a cart is a plus. Beautiful course, very challenging. Also has a par 3 course next to it.
Course is in very rough shape. Fairways are like concrete. Struggled to find a tee box that was level so it always felt like I was up or downhill. Layout of the course just annoyed me.
One of the better courses in the Lower Mainland. A challenging course with lots of elevation change. Not a course for beginners. I really enjoy playing here.
Always a good walk
at the land crossing golf course!
Great course Never busy and good price Good to work on the short game .
A nice golf course

Pretty course. Not for a begginer or a bad day
Old course could use a reno, prices are good though.
It always fun golfing at portal with friends. Also it's nice when the birds are chirping. It's a nice relaxing place
Had our club championship here, great course, but the greens could use some upkeep.
Was a nice track a few years ago.....
Course needs alot of work . Hopefully next year will be different....
(Translated) Good (Original) 좋았어요
I guess the owners are selling or trying to sell this golf course. Sad shape now. Water system broke. Fairways are hard. Tee boxes brutal. Greens are bad. Service is unprofessional and very unfriendly. Pace of play is horrendous. 5 and half hour rounds. Should turn it in to a farmer's field for goats. That about cover it.
A challenging course and it is really big. You have to walk for long time. The course could be wet days after raining. Driving is recommended as the course is just too big to walk with clubs.
(Translated) Worth a dozen (Original) 值得一打
Slow during weekends.
It's an older, mature course thst has been designed to take advantage of the natural geography - topography. The rain forest trees are very mature. The fairways are tight and the greens are small. A challenging layout for most golfers. A course very much in the style of those by Stanley Thompson or Alistair Mackenzie.
Always a great course to play.
Perfect condition, no wet spot at all on end of July week, enjoy the summer! Covid rules implemented.
Aug 4th 3:00PM tee time. 4th hole par 3 no grass on tee box just dirt,16 people on hole either playing or waiting. 1st 9 hole took almost 3hrs to play. Back 9 only took 2.5 hrs to play due to several players in front of us and 1 from our group all who walked off due to pace of play. Never saw a marshall during the whole round. Let the pro shop know about our dissatisfaction after our round and he just smiled and shrugged his shoulders. Traps looked like they had not been racked in days. Have not played there in a while and could see no evidence of any improvements and general maitenence has been let go. Looks like owners are just jamming the players out and pocketing the profits. Signed by 8 local golfers who will not be returning.
Good place to gulf
great ????
The restaurant was not open, and the course was not in as good of condition as it used to be for $100 a round two thumbs down.
