Great Gluten Free options just like in Ireland. The service was very attentive too. A great place for Celiac's and their friends. I rather kiss the Blarney Stone in Cork than to try and down this..wow..But to make it truly Irish they should welcome families with kids.

Grew up around the area and never thought much of this place until I went here recently. The atmosphere was relaxing and the Donegal Burger was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The servers were friendly and prompt with their ordering/follow ups. Worth a try!

First time going to Donegals. Had an enjoyable time on Friday at Happy Hour. They have a good selection of beer and craft beers. Some good appies. The small nachos were very good. Wings were also good. They actually had cheese all the way thru instead of a sprinkle on top like most pubs. Our waitress was very good as well.

Always a decent crowd of happy people of all ages, most typically 35+. Drinks are fair $. Food is 'nothing' to write home about. Waitresses tend to battle over their table territory - so on average service is ok. The pub generally has decent live bands. But they need dance music between the sets to keep crowd going.

I enjoy this pub and food is pretty good. The only thing i need to mention is the rcmp absolutely love to hand out in the parking lot on fridays and saturdays and try to hand out DUIs when your leaving. Was there on friday and left at 930. Saw rcmp undercover at front of lot and he followed me out and pulled me over. Got me out of car read me a bunch of stuff about having reason to suspect me of being intoxicated etc etc and made me blow in machine. Registered 0 , gave me a mcdonalds coupon for a coffee and let me go. I always see cops parked here so beware if you actually plan to drink then drive.... which you shouldnt.

Donegal's is one of the best pubs you'll ever go to. Super casual atmosphere, and the food is excellent. Staff are friendly and will give you good ideas on the menu. The wings are some of the best in all the GVA and the burgers rival or beat any of the specialty burgers places you can find. Highly recommended for a casual night out to listen to music or to watch a game.

Such a wonderful experience this evening! Their new menu has SO many gluten free options it was almost overwhelming for a celiac like myself- I may have ordered 4 items! ???? Our server Sunny was lovely, such a great personality and clearly loved her job and was so happy to help make sure my food was safe and gluten free. Pool tables were great fun and atmosphere was all you want in a pub/restaurant. Will definitely be making many returns!

Not a friendly place. Went there with a group but the waitress had an attitude from the start. Brought our drinks and asked us to pay out. We asked for food menus, and after 15 minutes had to get our own menus. She never came back so we could order food or get more drinks. And after 20 minutes when I asked her if she was still our waitress, she referred us to the bar. It was a strange experience and very rude attitude from the wait staff. We were waiting for the rest of our party, but decided to leave anyway because of the horrible service and what seemed like a deliberate attitude unworthy of a pub. We have been there several times before with a large group, but I will contact the manager tomorrow to explain what happened and will make sure never to go there again... ???? ##### UPDATE ##### This is in response to the "Response from the owner"... they're full of BS and that is NOT how it happened. Of course I expect "The Owner" (or whoever wrote the response) to stand behind their staff, no matter how rude the waitress was. What happened was when we first got there, the waitress had a chip on her shoulder right from the start. The previous incident that the "Owner" is referring to happened months ago and it involved an altercation with a single lady in our group with the same waitress. After what happened months ago, that girl is no longer with our group, and as far as I know, everyone payed their bills at that time since I was one of the last ones who closed my tab before we left. So what the "Owner" is saying is nonsense. Worse off, it is amazing that a waitress would hold a grudge against everyone in our group (20+ people) for so many months even though she ONLY dealt with that one individual. Strange place and definitely not "Canadian Polite" like. Perhaps leaving politics, personal problems, and whatever frustrations she brings to the work environment as a waitress, are better left and dealt with at home instead of taking it out on paying customers.

Honestly - this place was perfect for a good, cheap night out for dinner and drinks! It's not in the best neighborhood and it might seem a bit run down on the outside... but the inside is quite nice! Clean. Our server was SO friendly! I could tell everyone there was judgement free and there to listen to the live music and have some drinks. Only reason not giving 5 stars is because there was some red bruises on my romaine lettuce on my Caesar salad. Still tasted just fine! Asides from that small detail, everything else was good! Will be back.

I would give it zero stars if google let me. Rude and abrasive service. I had my first ever beer in this pub, and have been going here since 2001, but never again. I asked for the sound to be turned to the hockey game instead of the 80's Rock (I heard "cherry pie" 5 times in one hour) ; was told that "we only do that for the Canucks". I wanted to watch a game 7 playoff game and have a few beers. I had to stream the game on an 8 minute delay with the servers constantly poking fun while I tried to watch. 7 screens in the pub were on this game but the sound was courtesy of trooper's "hot shots".I will never go here again and will tell everyone I know to avoid. Service is surly, rude, and disrespectful. Godawful

Old school pub that’s probably been here many year; kind of what I expected going in. Lots of food options which is great. Seems like a spot full of locals and regulars known by their first name, even during the lunch hour. I had the “small” nachos for under $12. Great price for nachos, especially considering that their small is probably the size of a large elsewhere. My meal was tasty.

Visited on St.Patricks Day for some burgers and green beer! Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Service was top notch and very prompt. The highlight for me was the onion rings...they were the best I've had in quite some time !!! The burgers were also fantastic. Would definitely visit again.

It was our first time here, because we are new in town. we tried food it was so so and customer service was worse there was one waitress who do not wear a mask while talking, seems like she is yelling on us and give good customer service to whom she think will pay her extra tip, this is very bad you should respect every customer, we are paying for food, not came for free food. Friday nights is live music. And let me tell you, if you want to go somewhere on a date and not have to talk to the other person, this is the best place to go so that. They have the amps turned way to high and that's at the very back of the place. For me it was more of a nuisance than anything. The band wasn't all that great either, just played old cover songs from before my time. Maybe you might like it better than me. Good luck. On a side note, the food was very good and hot, the servers were quick and were very attentive to our needs.

What really makes this place for me is the Ladies that work here. I'm always made to feel very welcome and wanted as a customer and a person. For an "Irish Pub" I was very disappointed. The only Irish beer they had was Guinness, the sangria was like cheap wine and the food was suspect. We ordered the calamari and you could smell the fishy smell coming from the plate before the waitress got to our table. The one bright spot was the waitress was very polite and friendly.

Donegal's Irish House has been located in the same location on 96ave for many years and there's a reason why. The food and drinks are awesome at this place. The service was great and they have live music on certain nights. Overall, I highly recommend Donegal's Irish pub!

The food was mediocre pub food in comparison to the cost, which was the biggest disappointment. The ambiance is a little dated, but has its own charm. Although it's a big space and it wasn't busy for a Saturday night, we were seated right by the door; so every time the door was opened, we'd get a breeze and catch our napkins. However, the staff were really nice and friendly. If you want to have a few beers, watch the game and snack...this is your place!! Won't be back for another date night.

Ownership changes frequently so I can only speak to my last visit where the food was absolutely horrible prior to that it was good. You can usually count on their wings but the clientele is questionable it's not a place for a date but a couple of pool tables help the place to be a little more enjoyable.

I like the place and food but my one complaint is the waitress Janice she spends most of her time talking and not doing her job you have to chase her down to get a refill or to ask for your bill, no one ever sits in her section cause shes miserable and rude, she spends more time socializing with men than she does doing anything else.

Hungry for pub food, my partner and I opted to try this pub. We were not overly impressed. I’m not sure if it was a particular bad night but I definitely don’t see how this pub could have won so many awards. To start off, there was not much Irish to be seen. We went on wing night so wings we got. There were many flavours to chose from so that part was good. The wings were dry and not very meaty. Some had a very scant amount of sauce while others were gooey and drippy. My partner was hungry so we also ordered a poutine. The one on the menu looked great (on paper). A turkey dinner poutine? That sounds amazing, right up until we tasted it. The gravy was good but the chuck of soaked dressing were not very pleasant. The service was good and the waitress was on top of our needs. Which is why this review is better than I was initially going to rate it. The ambiance was good too with a large screen for those that enjoy games. The Price was reasonable but on the high side. All and all, I doubt we will return for the food. But I’m willing to give it another try.

NOT VACCINATED!!!! They have staff that are not VACCINATED (by choice) and do not wear masks! They happily and knowingly let people in that are not VACCINATED with fake passports. They do not clean properly and when issues are brought to Daniel's (the manager) attention, he has a care less attitude. Do not go here!!!!

..decided to stop by with a couple of friends for a drink, one of whom was visiting from out of town. Our server last night asked to check ID, which is fine, even though the other ppl who came in were not asked. My friend from out of towns ID was chucked in his direction and he was told I dont really give a $*!# it will be your problem if you're fined. She was so rude, had no customer service skills. She tried to return with excuses about a busy day..she had racially profiled our friend, who she herself said she could see was well over age. This one experience has tainted the place for me. We left and headed to One20, where we had a very pleasant experience. * Had no problem with being ID'd it was the fact that she looked at his for one second and said I dont buy it and walked away..told the other server she can tell he is well over age but continued to speak irately regarding us.. then used profanity as she returned, threw the ID at him..and then expected us to stay.. & in the end blamed her attitude on it being a busy day. Just did not seem professional.

Customer service and facilities were great. They have 2 decent pool tables which we were looking for. Be prepared to leave a 20$ deposit for the cue ball. Don't worry, you'll get it back. Like all places they are hard hit by COVID. Once restrictions lift, they have live music and a massive outdoor patio space. Looks like it would be a a fun party spot.
