As you can see from my reviews, I have been making the rounds of Browns Social Houses. This one, like many of the others, gets quite busy in the evenings. So busy in fact that we have started to avoid this location and go to the other one on 24th. Service has always been good and quality of the food right up there. If not for the lack of seating... perhaps they need an expansion?

I normal love the food at Browns but after today I may never return. 1st there were floaties in my water 2nd the food took over a half hour and it was not busy. 3rd the Dragon bowl was the smallest portion Ive ever seen. At 18$ I was shocked. 4th and the worst part my husband burger at the biggest hair sticking out of it. Luckily he noticed before he took a bite. We left!

Well-made drinks, yummy food, friendly staff, and the covered patio is a lovely touch. When it was winter- it was heated too, which made it the perfect temperature. Best poutine I've had compared to most places and the daiquiris are delicious! (without the sangria though) Would come back in a heartbeat and in my opinion, the nicest place to have some classy drinks in White Rock.

When the ratio of staff to customers seems to be about two to one (it was a slow night and yet there was lots of staff) you shouldn't have to wait for 30 minutes to get someone to take your food order. I drank my beer and left because I was too hungry to wait any longer.

Browns changed the way some meals are prepared. The " Dragon bawl" was an exceptional, excellent meal. They changed the recipe, and it's now not only smaller portion, but bellow mediocre in taste. My friends made a same observation about their meals as well. We are no longer interested in eating there , unfortunately. Changed for bellow the standard meals will not get you customers!

The food was very good. Unfortunately service was poor..very slow bringing drinks orders. Wanted to order happy hour food and as service was so slow and we were there at 540pm..when i advised her I would like an item. She ran as she said it had to be entered by 6. It was not at all busy and there seemed to be a lot of staff. Also it was very cold in the restaurant. Asked if heat could be turned up, ended up moving to another table and still cold.

Great food, excellent service. This is one of the best run Social Houses in the Browns franchise. I particularly like the crispy tuna tacos (to die for!!) and the new tuna poke bowl is unbelievable. My server Jenn was attentive, but not over-bearing, smart and funny but not sarcastic, and very professional when my wife explained a complicated allergy. The patio fire table is a cool spot to sit too :) Will definitely return!

Havent been here enough to comment on the consistency of the food, but the service is stellar and the atmosphere is excellent. Went with a friend of mine last weekend, and despite the place being super busy, we were seated promptly. Overall a very nice place to spend an evening with locals.

Definitely the best Browns I’ve been to. I was looking for a spot to watch the Bruins play and sat at the bar. I ordered a Cali Cheese burger with fries and gravy, they were phenomenal!! Almost as good at the bartender and Leslie, the new girl. Also, I’m pretty sure there is a code to just order “The lager” that’s what all the locals were doing. I’ll definitely be back to order one for myself.

Can you go wrong with Brown's? We picked the wettest day of May to go for soup and tea. The soup was really good. Lots of flavour. Our tea sadly was cold and tasteless which I was surprised cause it was Earl Grey???. Our server was good and checked on us regularly. My salad was ok. Didnt finish! All in all good meal, good service! We'll be back!

Sarcastic, rude, and disrespectful staff. Waited 45 minutes for a table last night. It was raining and we couldn't use the public benches outside. There were no seating options for people with disabilities while they wait. My husband is weeks away from an ankle replacement and after standing for awhile, used a table to sit on and lean on. The table had a sign underneath it indicating it was used for take-out. I watched other people use it for the same reason who didn't see the sign either (maybe tape the sign on top of the table instead of hanging underneath it??). Suddenly, a very rude waitress abruptly came out, gave my husband attitude and was incredibly sarcastic when I mentioned they should consider putting a seat out reserved for handicap or disabled people. She very disrespectfully said "yah, we'll consider that." She then proceeded to go inside and complain about us to all other staff who promptly stared at us - it was blatantly obvious she was speaking badly about us. I complained to the manager but he wasn't any help, he was one of the staff who stared at us. I would've fired her on the spot. Just a suggestion...be mindful of the needs of disabled people and use your manners if you want to work in hospitality. To the male manager, you're supposed to help fix the problem, not be a part of it.

Ordered take out and was super disappointed with the portion sizes! How do you justify charging $7.50 +tax for a tiny takeout box of fries!!! Certainly was not enough to share with friends sufficiently. Even the half order of Blackened Chicken Alfredo was sad, the container was barely filled! There goes another $16 bucks down the drain. I’ve been to Browns before and the portions were generous before - this is pathetic. It should just be a 1 star rating, but I gave it 2 only because the pasta dish still tasted good, at least they didn’t change that!

The serving staff is okay to good usually, but the food is terribly inconsistent: tasty and well-portioned sometimes, then absolutely sucks the next time. Like tonight. Yet the kitchen manager is apparently is the same person. I don't understand. For example, I ordered something to-go, something I often get, but upon opening up at home find it's nothing more than 2 tbsps of red cabbage, 1-1/2 cup of salad and a very small cutlet of chicken for $16. A fraction of what it's supposed to be. I can't believe I left a tip. This has happened before but we thought there'd been a positive change. Guess not. Our weekly group is looking for another venue and so will my work group.

I ordered a Caesar salad. A small prechilled plate arrived fresh out of the frig with cut up pieces of romaine lettuce. There was no dressing at all,just dry pieces of romaine lettuce. I asked for more dressing. A long time later, the hostess put a small bowl in front of me and said they retossed the salad. There was no difference. Worst excuse I have ever seen for a Caesar salad. The price for this insult was 6 dollars. I would have gladly paid 10 dollars to have a proper salad. I was so angry, I didn't enjoy the rest of the evening. Also was embarrassing for my fellow diner who had purchased the 100 dollar gift certificate. She was also very disappointed. If you can't make a proper Caesar salad then don't put it on the menu.

My favorite is the calamari with jalapino peppers but they also do great burgers etc and this location keeps the sound at a respe table level unlike some of their other locations. Always delicious food, and excellent service. I love their shrimp pizza, and their Thai soup. Those are just two of my favorites. They're very consistent, so you always know every time you go in, you're going to get what you ordered. Very important for a chain restaurant. Service is meh. Food is also sub par. But depends on who's cooking I guess. I always order a buck buck mule, and here I never get mint or limes or a straw. Every other browns comes with them. Super annoying. I go to the delta location and find the food and service to be much more consistent. All locations should serve items the same. Just something management needs to work on.

One of the best Browns. Great location and excellent amenities. Must have a good manager because food and service is above average for Browns. If you are in the area looking for a place for good food, good atmosphere, a drink and a quiet place to have a conversation, try out Brown's Social House.

I can't believe I used to undermine this place... I tried the cod fish bowl one late night when everything else was closed and could not believe how tasty it is. Went back today for the Dragon Bowl and it was delicious, a vegetarians dream bowl???? Staff is delightfully friendly!

Came in first time. Got a pizza. Came soggy as hell. Couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. Sent it back to crispen up. Came back more cooked but still fell apart. Ended up getting the calamari instead. Calamari was about a 7/10. The fried jalapeños made it that much better. Without it to probably would have been mediocre at best. So that was good. Drinks were great. And thanks for taking the pizza and calamari off my bill. Will come back due to friendly service and drinks. Won't have those two options again but look forward to trying the Tuna poke bowl.

Came in and was told 15 minute wait even though there were empty tables. Sat at bar until table was ready and then we were promptly seated at one of the empty tables we saw when we walked in. It didn't seem overly busy so not sure why we had to wait. Food was decent and servers were friendly.

I came here with a large group but the service was still great. The menu has options for many different tastes, so if you don't know what the other prefers you should take them here. While some may enjoy a nice taco, some may prefer a poke bowl (and both were good).

Observed many times bar staff interacting with I'm guessing friends or regulars and giving attitude to everyone else. If you really don't want to serve people, why not change jobs altogether?? LoL

The absolute best nachos of any restaurant I've ever had. Now I know this is a bold statement but they are layered perfectly and seasoned with Cajun spice to give each bite a flavor explosion. The ingredients are also so fresh and very generous. Give them a shot and you won't be disappointed

WORST WORST EXPERIENCE EVER,, for take out, we ordered a chicken Cesar salad and thi chicken soup for take out On the phone with the girl who took my order …I asked if I could please have the salad mixed with dressing on ready to go, and extra dressing also on the side (she replied by telling me “we always mix our salads to go” When I arrived at Browns, the bag was stapled closed... I paid and TIPED $3.20 on my TAKE out order I was heading to the beach to eat Once I arrived I opened my bag. salad was NOT MIXED.... NO FORK, NO SPOON for my soup. And get this my soup only had 1/4 of the bowl full LESS THEN HALF which after driving home to eat -equated to 3 table spoons. my wife called and spoke to the manager RYAN who really couldn’t care less but in actual fact told me “ya, we don’t provide cutterly on take out orders, unless it’s specifically asked for.” I replied hmmm I’ve in the past always had cutterly in the bag with out asking, but ok. He said, ok have a good day. IM BEYOND DISTUGSTED (I never complained about the soup as I didn’t discover that until I returned home) however I’m sure judging by the managers first response he wouldn’t care less I will never be back. Major fail.

My wife and I were celebrating a milestone here recently and were treated exceptionally well by management. We will never forget that evening. We were actually regulars years ago when we lived in White Rock and recently moved back after four years living in Vancouver. Very well run, modern restaurant with a great patio and a central bar. Excellent beer specials as well. No wonder it became our local and a go to for a night out!

This is a well run eatery however since the arrival of COVID the takeout portions have become very small and the prices have gone way up. We were very disappointed with our order. It's too bad. It's not the staffs fault but they will be the ones paying for the changes. I won't be tipping for takeout anymore.

I go there for my lunches and am always pleased at turn around times. I only have it a four because I am inpatient and hate waiting for a table but that is me not the Resturant.

We were 4 people celebrating Father's Day. We reserved a table in advance, but it wasn't busy at 4 pm on that day, so we've got to choose a table on the patio (otherwise you can't reserve a spot on the patio, it's on "first come - first serve" basis, if I am not mistaken). That was the best part! Comfortable couches, soft cushions. We've ordered a Rice Cod Bowl, a Dragon Chick Bowl, a Biltmore Pizza, a Roast Beef and beverages. Everything tasted very good, portions were modest, however Pizza was of a generous size. We've also tasted Thai Chicken and Rice Soup - what a treat! It was a very pleasant experience and a great place to celebrate a Day in a family circle. We recommend this place.

Disappointing would be how I'd describe my recent visit to Browns. We stopped in to order take out and had a drink while we waited. No problem with service in the restaurant as you'd expect, all really good with lots of quick attention.The food we had ordered did take rather longer to arrive than I would have expected, so when I asked what the delay was, we were informed they had received multiple take out orders at the same time. Fair enough. We received our food shortly thereafter and drove the home, the drive is about 5 mins. That's when we realized our food had obviously been sitting for some time before we received it. I'd ordered a burger with fries, both were just warm, a ramen bowl with now congealed noodles and a luke warm broth. The only dish that was immediately ready to eat was the Caesar salad with blackened chicken. I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager (Emma I think?). In all fairness she acknowledged and owned the problem, did not make excuses and recognized our concerns. She offered to replace the food, but as we had already put the food in the oven to heat up we declined. She took our details and advised she would be sending us a gift certificate. I'm happy to say the food after being heated up was good. I've ordered food from Browns on many occasions before and I wont let this one off disappointment stop me going back. It is a reminder though Browns that you're only as good as your last meal and in these times of Covid 19 many of your patrons will be using take out more that dining in. I look forward to receiving the GC and thank you for trying to make things right.

The order placed was dragon bowl with no rice. What came was 6 chicken bites on half cooked vegetables with a 1/4 cup of water on the bottom for $23. I will never order from you again. I have been a regular customer for 10 years ish. The pandemic has caused resteraunts to up the price, not the customers issue, but you should actually supply better food for the price.

Best service ever. I had a long day and didn't hear properly what host said about the beer and it turned out to be a cider. I asked what it is after taking couple of sips and she said it's cider.
