Great atmosphere in this historical inn. Pub good is great. There are also daily specials. Building is wheelchair accessible including an elevator to the inn rooms. This pub is located in the Queens Hotel.

Was pretty busy on wing nite. 2 bartenders handled the entire place. And had time to keep my drink filled and make conversation. Frank and Mel made this night fun. And yes, I tried some wings too. I would come back for all these things. I personally had a 5 star time!

Very busy on wing night, this alone let's you know this is a good place, but the pub itself is a small one and difficult to sit all that were there. They did open space at the sister hotel restaurant attached for more seating, but the atmosphere is quite different and stuffy. Great food and drink and competent staff.

It's a pub, pretty much exactly what you'd expect in terms of pub grub. Fish and chips were ok, on tap beers were above average, wait time was a bit on the high side, prices were so-so. I'd go again if it was convenient, but I wouldn't directly seek it out

A little crowded at lunch but I'm guessing it is cause the food is very filling and the regulars have been going for years. The wait-staff almost all kept smiles and gave good natured service even were quick to fix and comp the onion rings that were not quite cooked enough. Burger is massive in size and as I said fills you up I left here something I am not often, full !!

We went here on a very busy wing night. Although there was a wait for a table, staff was very friendly and made sure we had somewhere to stand and enjoy some drinks while we waited. The food was also decent for the relatively low price. My only negative experience was due to some patrons at the table next to us who were letting their kids run/scream/jump all over the place and actually sent them our way so they didn’t have to deal with them. Unfortunately, due to the busy wing night, staff was fairly absent and thus we weren’t able to ask them for assistance for quite some time. Overall still a good experience and I would like to return and try my luck for some better table-neighbours.

The Queens Hotel, with the Boar's Head Pub is an iconic Stratford restaurant. The decor is typical old style pub. The furniture hardwood, tables the same. The decor is 1960s. It is clean, and very friendly. The food is excellent. A good choice of pub inspired foods, served with style. Wild Boar burgers are a good example. The fish and chips are world class. The fries are fresh chipped and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes are made from real potatoes, not instant. They have a good variety of beers on tap, also ciders. If you want a traditional pub experience this is the place to go.

Wife and I were in town for Romeo and Juliet for the weekend and decided to stop here for a few pints on the Saturday afternoon. This place is not fancy or polished at all - exactly what the doctor ordered. We settled into a well used corner booth right at the end of the bar and were immediately engaged with a friendly staff that introduced us to Black Swan beers, the local brewer in town. Cannot comment on the food as we did not eat, but if you're looking for a relaxed, unpretentious spot for a reasonable priced pint, look no further.

Their "Boar's Head" chili is literally from the exact same supplier as Tim Horton's chili, except they charge $15 for theirs. It's literally the exact same product, but you're paying three times more because they put cheese on top. Comes with dry, flavorless "garlic toast" that's basically a hot dog bun cut into four, with hardly any actual garlic butter on it. Standard prepared-from-frozen bar food but they charge fresh made prices. Tim Horton's sells the exact same product for $5, these guys charge three times the price and will still ask you to pay more to put cheese on the bread.

Good takes awhile to come, even when it's only moderately busy. Service is ok, just not traditional since you'll be approached by every server on the floor which can be a bit much. Wing nights aren't really a deal. With a drink purchase you're still paying $20 for biggish but greesy wings. Second time with this experience (first was worse if you go when it's packed for wing night), don't see the appeal to keep trying.

The restaurant itself was very nice and the service was great, but the food was pretty bad. I ordered a burger, and I'm pretty sure everything was previously frozen. The meat was very dense and bland, the fries tasted like generic frozen fries. I'm pretty sure the bun itself was previously frozen because it had a strange crumbly texture, like freezer burnt bread.

Lively pub especially on their Wednesday wing night. The side Greek salad was generously sized, full of olives, feta, and veggies, and tasty. I enjoyed the fish part of the fish and chips whereas the chips were terrible. Everyone enjoyed their wings and delicious sweet potato fries. Server was quick and friendly.

It honestly was the first time I'd eaten there. Often we stay there and ate at the more formal restaurant . .which has closed except for large parties. It's not special, IMO. I ordered a corned beef Reuben. It was on a small brioche bun and was deli corned beef, not sliced. French onion is mediocre too. Truth is, I was really disappointed.

Went here for the Bacon and Ale Trail. A wasted lady spend what felt like 10 minutes arguing with the sober bartender about her tab while I waited to order and the bartender offered me a free beer with the B&AT for the wait. That's great customer service! The B&AT jalapeno poppers were flavorful and fresh and the beer was also great. I'll definetly be returning the next time I'm in Stratford!

I only had the macaroni salad of sorts and it was very tasty! and the coffee was bang on too! I was out on the patio which was small, but quaint. it's a nice spot to people watch and a perfect spot to admire the hotrods driving back and forth! the staff were friendly and hospitable!

We had ordered chicken wings and some nachos for takeout and request 5 blue cheese for dipping. No we specified blue cheese and confirmed it with the order taker because we know the typical side is ranch dressing ( who eats ranch dressing on chicken wings, lol to each their own), anyways it turns out we got 5 ranch dressings, no blue cheese. Speaking of cheese, they must have changed cooks or cut back on the cheese drastically for their nachos. Unfortunate as I had travelled 2 hours to visit for dinner.

We came here on our first night staying in Stratford, the food was delicious, the beer was delicious and the service was awesome! My fiance ended up forgetting something she purchased from another shop there and we both didn't realize for a good half hour, this was after the restaurant had closed. I called and left a voicemail and we rushed back over just incase. We noticed they happened to still be around and our waitress was right outside! She saw us and knew us instantly and had already put our bag aside for us incase we showed up. Well, we showed up and recieved our stuff and were super happy! It was really nice to know people care about stuff like that from complete strangers and they were so nice about everything! All in all you need to come check it out here you won't be disappointed!!

The only thing better than the food is the service, so don't forget to tip your waitstaff. As an aside I have to mention that Stratford is an awesome place to visit and the Boars Head is just one of many reasons why you should. Don't hesitate, Just do it.

Wait for food took a while, had hair in my poutine and an overcooked burger, and service was no where to be found when I wanted to complain. I will be sticking with the hub in downtown stratford instead.
