Went in for the first time today as the lunch special sign outside caught my eye. Ordered the Jerk chicken with rice & to my surprise it came with coleslaw. Absolutely delicious! Will be back for more

They really need to work on their bartenders, working the crowd better and more consistency with serving their patrons in a timely manner. Aside from that, music is always great and the vibes are bless. When you venture to a chill spot, its great to keep the same company.

Not much of a variety on the menu. The place has big banners outside advertising what they're lunch specials are, but when I go inside to order only one special is available. I did order the jerk chicken special they had available, and it was decent but could have added a bit more gravy with the rice.

The food tasted great and for the most part the service was on point. The only issues were there was a very long wait time to receive my bill due to the server being swamped with work and while picking up some dishes from my table she dropped some cutlery on my shirt and jacket which led to them being stained. Outside of those minor problems, the night was enjoyable and I'd go back again because of the great food and nice atmosphere.

A hidden gem night club at Markham Road and McNicoll area in Scarborough. Nice old and new school music mix, a casual dress code, and $40 can get you admission and decent amount of drinks. People come here for a good time and chill with their friends.

The food is tasty but management is disorganized and staff needs better guidance. We hosted an event there recently and we were sorely disappointed. I won't recommend this place to anyone else for a booking. The standard of service has dropped, substantially. Great physical space for a dinner party but insufficient resources & too much bad communication among management & staff.

I came in with my mom to try some roti and it was a very good experience. We picked up and did not sit in the restaurant. Others where sitting and it looked very well organized. I thought the goat roti was great. I was convinced to try the codfish fritters by the employee who served us. They where very good. The price was very reasonable and I would recommend! Thanks!

I went to Spade after my third visit 4 months ago but today I met an amazing bartender by the name of Nathalie. Her welcoming spirit and care for her customers is what caught my attention and when she was done with her shift, she came to our table to say goodbye but ended up joing us and we stayed longer than expected. My boys and I had one of the best times in a long time...reasoning, laughing and just having a good time. If you happened to pass by Spade, don't take my word for it. Walk in the door and as long as Nathalie is working you will treated with a smile, utmost respect and good service.

This was pretty bad. We waited over an hour for our jerk chicken. The security guard also informed us that kids are prohibited after 10:30 as my friend brought his kids. The sauce was great but it was so dry it was like it was microwaved. My ginger ale looked like water tasted like club soda. The server apologised and said they ran out. I asked why she served it when it didn't even look like ginger ale. My friend was charged for chicken wings he didn't even get. My other friend had 2 grey goose and charged for 4. I tipped the server 20% because I know and have been in her shoes before but I will never return as this was an awful experience. Maybe it was an off night but it was so bad.

was there 2 weeks back . Rice was not fresh . I assume that with the lock out , restaurants are able to sell freshly cooked food and as such it is sold the next day . I have had the same issues with other restaurants so many times .

Decent spot - took a little while to get someone to take our order and then we were asked to pay before starting to eat as the waitress was finishing her shift. Aside from that great location, lots of parking and no complaints. Place turns into a lounge after hours.

Spade is at a good location with free parking and modern and welcoming setting for partying or just hanging with friends, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. However, the music scale is highly tipped in favour of dancehall. Given the ambiance and potential to attract a very diverse and intergenerational crowd, I am somewhat disappointed by the lack of diversity in music genres and the monopoly of dancehall. After all, R&B, hip hop, soca, soca-dancehall, chutney, reggae, reggae-dancehall, Latino, African, Bollywood, throwbacks, etc are all played by flexible DJs who appreciate the diversity of the dance club's patrons. Spade fail in this one area of appreciation for customer experience (this is obvious in it's lack of musical diversity as it relates to crowd diversity.) As with most DJs who fail to appreciate anything outside of reggae/reggae-dancehall, DJs at Spade also conduct meaningless massacres on other cultures' music by constantly cutting songs every few seconds completely removing opportunity to dance and appreciate the songs and enjoy the lyrics and music. Frequently, private events are hosted on Saturday nights there, but often appear to favour dancehall and that preference sometimes eliminates the opportunity for those of us looking for a diverse experience for attending Spade on those nights. Great physical club, but can take a more diverse approach.????

The food i order had little or no spices to taste and the rice & bean teasted old. It took 1/2 hour to get food and there just three people ahead of me. One guy told me he has been waiting awhile now. That would be my first and last visit was not worth my $13.

GHETTO!!!!!! Great place for a ???? I recommend wearing your body armour if you have it ordered food there a few times and every time it's a disaster nothing what I asked for was correct the only thing it's good for is if you're in a motorcycle club and you need a place to hang out

Had their oxtail and rice it was the best I had at a restaurant in Canada. Place was nice and clean, however the room temperature was a bit cold for this time of the year. Turn up the heat please!! Jordan/Tiffany was exceptional.

Horrible service, our waiter was under the influence. Orders took forever and only to find out waiter didnt send it to kitchen. Food that came was poorly made, like rice was uncooked. Waiter forgot to add so many items to the bill, told her and she still didn't add it.

Terrible . The server was really nice but told us that dine in was closed due to covid, which i understand 1000%. Then I saw people going inside and drinking which turns out is ILLEGAL. They lie to other customers saying they are closed for dine in when they let certain people inside. I wouldnt be surprised if they all had coronavirus. The patio was disgusting and people were smoking illegally. The food was okay. Spoke to another customer who said they will be reported to authorities for letting people inside. Please do not come here. They will be caught very soon.

Worst customer service ever walk in and seated myself and waited 15 minutes before approach by a waitress it was not busy only 2 other tables were occupied. Order a pina colada and was given a glass full of ice and was told it took long because she made it with her hand and not a blender. Ordered a appetizer and was given it with my main course after waiting for an hour. Was served my food in a take out container even thou I was dining in. The appetizers was the size of the main course. Overall the restaurant is nice big and spacious the music was relaxing. The staff needs training

I was very enthusiastic about this place, the reviews are wonderful…but I ordered dinner last night from here and I must say, it was not good. The oxtail was very salty and swimming in a pool of grease and gravy mixed with rice and cole slaw juice, eww. And the plantains were very very dry and bitter. Far from the taste of plantains I know. All in all, I won’t try it again.

10/10 oxtail with rice and peas. The oxtail was tender and skillfully prepared, so delicious with aromatic gravy. Also liked the hot sauce it came with on the side, added a nice heat. Definitely recommend trying this dish here.

Great food and some drink specials. The lounge area has two pool tables and lots of seating. Recently opened up a small patio. Club events take place on certain days where you can enjoy their dancefloor and also get bottle service. Would recommend providing more drink specials to attract a bigger crowd.

Very poor on take out orders. Ordered Shrimp Alfredo with extra shrimps but on the entire order only 7 pieces of shrimp and that is what they call order with extra shrimps...plus the garlic bread was burnt...be careful when doing takeout order from this place.

I attended an event the previous night. After tasting the food, I returned the following day for a business meeting. The servers were pleasant. The food was excellent. Very tasty and good sized portions. We had rice, curry goat, jerk chicken and veggie spring rolls. It took a bit long for the food to be served as everything is made fresh. I definitely recommend.

Finally decided to go back and order an ox tail after horrible treatment last time. BIG MISTAKE. ordered an ox tail and chilli chicken to go, the sleepy woman comes back half hr later. drive all the way home to discover i got stew chicken and swwet n sour lunch..the kicker was the stew chicken was bone too. $40 for a $10 plate of something i never ordered. why didnt i just drive down the street to Niceys

I ordered ubereats and that is how I discovered this hidden gem. 4 stars because there was no sauce on the rice and I was not offered any (I was too hungry to remember to ask / I would have paid extra because sauce on rice is life), also they did not have fries for the poutine but they did sub wedges for me (which I really appreciate but the fries they used before was AMAZING). This is CUISINE people. Cheese curds actually melted, gravy was divine, jerk pork was really cuts of the fatty pork so tender and fall apart-y, rice and peas was delicious but again needed sauce, coleslaw was interesting because it was not the traditional creamy coleslaw but a crunchy kind with a tangy but not over powering vinaigrette. Chicken wings were bleh nothing special. But the shining star is definitely the Cod Fritters. $6 for 6 pieces, you can't go wrong. If you order anything, it's these cod fritters. Point blank periodT. It is accompanied by a house made spicy mayo that will rival any spicy mayo. Some minor improvements but other than that, I am super happy and will always be back.

Amaizing club, restaurant, bar, kareokee, pool hall lounge. The place is owned by 2 amaizingly cool men, Chinna and George. They both are very hands on and usually there interacting with there customers and making sure everyone is happy and satisfied. Overall very friendly. They did an impeccable job with the opening of this club. The location is perfect and the ambience is out of this world. Food is top notch and the drinks are decently priced. The bartenders are very attentive and professional. The music is grade A and so are the DJ's especially (DJ Chinna). Karaokee Mondays are everyones fav. Perfect place for birthday parties, get togethers, work related lunches....etc. This place even has excersise classes on both Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings... Thats crazy. Never seen a club like this b4...so cool!! ???? Im a repeat customer!

The menu is just weird doesnt make sense after deciding if I wanted jamaican, indian or canadian I went with the spicy shrimp. OMG Big mistake its over priced for the tiniest shrimps ever, the coleslaw has no flavour. The place looks nice and pretty but the food needs a serious makeover

This place has potential, but they need better management. When we walked in there was nowhere to sit like they didnt have enough sitting for everyone, some groups of people where pretty much sitting on top of each other. A man who i'm not sure even works there eventually pulled out a table and chairs for our group. If you had extra chairs and table you should have them all out, its a big place and can hold a lot of people. It's game 2 of the NBA Finals its a busy night and they only had 1 girl on the floor serving food, for all the crowd and 2 girls behind the bar. The girls were slow and annoyed because they were under staffed and tired, plus you could see it on their faces. The food was reasonably priced, but by the time we got our food it was cold. I had the Fish Fritters and fries. I know the place is a Bar and Lounge, but they could really use a good management revamp so their customer service, time and crowd management could be better.
