Horrible experience, the multiple times I’ve been there. I’ve had slow and rude experiences with the waitresses and the bartenders. And last week a friend of mine was threatened with being stabbed, and under threat his phone and passwords were stolen. No bouncers came to help. Not the kind of place I’d bring anyone. ????????????????

I had always enjoyed going to Melody bar, even from the beginning when the atmosphere was that of a lounge. I embraced the changes they made to the crowd and the layout, allowing for more of a place to dance; but unfortunately I had a less than enjoyable last experience here that I will be reiterating to others. I came here on a Saturday night and it was noticeably busy. The cover was increased from 5 to 10 which I was completely fine with (if demand is high, I'm okay with the price increasing). I was more than happy to pay this, as I have never had a bad time here. However, upon approaching the host and paying for 3 individuals with a $50 dollar bill, I was given $10 back. Obviously, I had thought this was an honest mistake, but the host sighed when I asked for my other 10 back and said "wow, you really like your money, huh?" Working in the industry, this is such a ridiculously rude, off comment to make and I was absolutely shocked. I cannot believe that is the mindset that staff are allowed to have at this establishment. I cannot say that I will be back in the future.

This was a really fun cool clean environment to drink a whole bunch of fancy drinks in. I drink so many so fast I lost the glasses off of my face that are Gucci and someone return them and I got them back 2 hours later. I feel like that deserves 6 stars. I'll definitely be back at this place.

The epitome of class. The bartenders are well versed and talented. The ambiance is akin to a 1920 speakeasy. You'll find cocktails here that won't be found anywhere in Saskatoon.

A really neat place! The seating is comprised of leather chesterfields and knee-height oval tables. It give a proper relaxing feel for visiting with friends. However, the combination of the tall chesterfields and the low tables seem like a nightmare for the servers. As of right now, the beer menu is severely limited. Hopefully there are plans to expand it a little more. Currently, it is not a place to go for a 'pint' with friends.

Extremely slow to get a drink for a Thursday night, and about 30 patrons. Questions asked by our waitress, and bartender. “What is tonic?” “What is a crown and coke?” High end bottles above the bar, but “we don’t have any of that”...also, “we ran out of Coca Cola”....”we don’t have any ginger ale”.... Bought 3 drinks, recieved 2. Charged $23, gave $50 cash. Got $20 change, then recieved $27 change again 5 minutes later. Waitress obviously high. DJ was decent, reminds me of being in a club 10 years ago. Probably not the place to go for a cocktail. But I am pretty certain you can get drugs from, anyone.

We had a good time here. Music was to our taste and the crowd was trendy. All the people were well-behaved. We didn't see any fights or super drunk idiots. Security guards were also nice and approachable. All in all, my experience with this place was very positive.

The cocktails here were amazing and the bar itself is very nice and sofisticated. However, I went on a Saturday night and there was a DJ playing loud club music ontop of the piano. It was a totally different atmosphere there, and I was disappointed that it wasn't classy and jazzy. It was crowded and service was a snails pace. I'll have to go on a different night.

Pretty awesome place, great cocktails, fairly expensive, but the thing that ruins it for me is the disaster in the men's restroom. I've gone there a few different times over the last couple months and the men's restrooms have been an unmitigated disaster, urinals not working, stalls out of order but used anyway. It's pretty sad a bar trying to be a higher end cocktail bar can't figure out the restrooms.

My friends said that the whiskey sours were delicious. I asked them if they had a Negroni, and the server said that they didn't; she said that they didn't have Campari, but she didn't check with the bartender. I thought it was kind of weird for a cocktail lounge; there were like a hundred bottles of different kinds of alcohol above the bar, and a cocktail recipe book on the table. For a cocktail lounge, shouldn't a Negroni be something standard? Anyway, the atmosphere was really nice and cozy.

Brilliant setting, a little hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for, but the "hidden" feel of it is fantastic. The live music is great, cocktails are amazing, the food options will satisfy you beyond belief (try the Lotus Chips, they're delightful). The staff is super friendly and approachable. If you love live music and a cozy feel, definitely make Melody Bar a regular stop!

I love coming to melody bar. The food is great, the drinks are crazy good. The last time I was there, which was last Saturday, there was a host working at the front and her enthusiasm and positivity was so great as she was having such a hectic night taking cover & also as I was walking to the bathroom I saw her try cleaning the women’s bathroom making sure everything was looking nice. She was smiling throughout the night and telling everybody to have a goodnight. Thank you melody bar for having a positive hard working hostess.

The bar has a great selection and The staff if super nice however The mens bathroom looks like something out of a Saw movie and they had none of the food items on the menu that they offered. (Edit) The longer I stayed here I notice multiple waitresses drink and do cocaine on the job while the manager had to pick up the slack he was great at his job but between him and the bartender they couldn't handle the volume of people that the waitresses refused to help or just straight up forgot

What a scam of a pseudo-highclass drinking establishment. $10 to get in and stand around. Then the bar purposely pays a terrible nameless DJ to play music that nobody wants to dance to. So then you figure you better sit down on the couches and make the best of your regretful decision of coming here. Wrong, you can’t sit on the couches unless you want ‘bottle service’, Which is a ridiculous amount alcohol for any server/bartender to be overserving one to four patrons. If you are fine with the drink you purchased, don’t want ‘bottle service’ and persist on enjoying yourself on the couches, you will be instantly asked by management staff(with booger sugar hanging off his nose) to leave the establishment because you aren’t willing to pay for ‘bottle service’. Sorry I’m not going to pay over a $100 to be able to sit. I’m surprised the SLGA and Public Health Officers haven't figured out this micro transaction scam.

Not positive what management's strategy is, but if someone would like a cocktail when it's not busy and the ingredients are on hand, that's free money

One of the only lounges/clubs in Saskatoon where people can actually dress up and go out to. Melody has great DJ's, really good music, a good selection of appies on the menu, and really good cocktails. Typically there's cover on Saturdays, but I don't mind paying this because it's a very clean place. If you're looking for a classy and fun bar, Melody is the place to be.

I HOPE SOMEONE FROM MANAGEMENT READS THIS BECAUSE YOU HAVE SOME PROBLEMS. First off, the blonde female bartender who was working behind the bar the night of Jun 15/19 was probably the rudest service worker I've ever encountered. First of all, after I get my drink, I put a few drops of a rose and hibiscus flavor shot in it, which is sitting on display with a bunch of other flavor shots at the end of the bar. This bartender starts laughing, and says "those are expired!" I ask her why they're on display for people to use if they're expired. She just responds with "why would you even put that in your drink?" very rude tone. I dont think theres anything weird about putting a hint of rose in your drink for flavor, and they are on display like they're safe for people to use. Either way, what business is it of hers what I put in my drink and what tastes good to me. I ask for another drink since mine now has expired product in it (who knows how old) and she laughs in my face and says no. I then ask her to THROW AWAY THE FLAVOR SHOTS IF THEY ARE EXPIRED, IT'S NOT SAFE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS TO CONSUME. She also refused to throw them away, which I dont understand since it could be dangerous. I asked politely a second time if I could have a new drink, and then she became very aggressive with her body language. It looked like she was trying to flag down one of the male bartenders or porters to have me thrown out. I was afraid she was going to try to escalate the situation to violence, or lie to her colleagues about what just happened, making me look like I'm being a disruption. I just told her that it's fine and it says more about her than me, and I walked away. Melody Management: DO NOT HAVE ANY EXPIRED FOOD OR DRINK PRODUCTS OUT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS TO USE, SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET SICK! I trust that you agree that the health and safety of people who keep your business going is more important than keeping expired product out because it makes a good decoration. Also, if I were an employer in the service industry I would never hire someone like that bartender who would ever think to treat a customer like that. I understand it's noisy and crowded in there, but that doesn't give your staff the right to treat people with disrespect, simply because it's too noisy to supervise their behavior. Maybe have a better screening process with your hiring if you care at all how your staff acts to customers. 1/5 for disrespectful staff and expired drink mixes not safe to serve to people.

NOT A HOOKAH LOUNGE. Was looking for a hookah LOUNGE and though this place was the top recommendation I was surprised to learn that they have never had hookah. Otherwise, a great lounge, comfortable and classy. The drinks were good. Staff was friendly and pleasant except for one person who tried too hard to get a bit too involved in the business of others. Nosy staff at a club never a good idea but otherwise a great experience.
