Ginger is beautifully decorated and has a very nice atmosphere. I stopped by for lunch and the restaurant was full of conference attendees. I was afraid it might take a while but I was able to flag a busy waitress down to be seated. It was clear that they were understandably occupied but I was served fairly quickly and my soup and salad was delicious.

We (my wife and I) are return customers, due to having nothing less than an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel the previous time in the summer of 2020. The Ginger restaurant located within the hotel itself served us nothing but absolutely fantastic food, with extremely enthusiastic and friendly service all times during both stays, to make our most recent stay (July 1st to July 2nd) a very pleasant memory we will cherish for years. Interesting coincidence is, during both stays (2020 and 2021), we were assigned to the exact same room (116). I now wonder if there's any significance to that?

Ginger was right in the lobby of our hotel (Plaza Quebec) and was affordable and family friendly. Complete hot/cold breakfast buffet and first dinner a kids buffet. Parents order from the menu. Food was great, service was friendly, efficient and consistent over the 3 meals we ate there. No complaints from this family!

Fancy, but terribly overpriced. $8 a shot of some bar grade sambuca that couldn't have cost much more than that per bottle. A round (4) of grey goose was $45, and although at the end of my night, did not taste much like grey goose. The waitress on duty passed by our table 6 times without stopping to take an order, so we went to the bar to order. To say the bartendress looked grumpy would be an understatement. Service industry, people. Fake it til you make it. She also didn't know who to make a Burt Reynolds. Really? Poor experience. Hopefully it was just an off night.

Sans compter le duo de chanteurs équipé de hauts parleur qui grichaient comme si nous écoutions un poste AM à la radio. Bref, je déconseille fortement ce restaurant.

She made sure we're very comfortable; long wait for the food but it's normal. The place is nice and well decorated, the staff is nice but I think there is a problem with the organization in the kitchen. I waited over an hour to get served a vegetable pizza and people from the US in back of me waited over 2 hours to get served. They were livid. The reason the manager said is they had received a group of 50 for a 5 to 7 but they decided to stay for supper. The group behind me were offered a drink and the lady complaining was offered a 10% discount on her meal. Should've been everyone at the table.

Overall, the experience could have been better. We waited a very long time for our food and if I didn't mumble I'd give them a 0 star review they wouldn't have told the kitchen to hurry up. The food itself was good, presentation of the dishes was decent but no wow-factor, just like any other restaurant. The flavors was what stood out, very good tasting food and portion sizes were appropriate, except specifically for the steak, which seems to be an ongoing problem in the reviews. The main problem was speed and getting dishes out. Even after everybody finished their main course, my father was still waiting on his poutine, which took an extra 10 minutes. If we didn't remind them about the poutine, they probably would have forgotten it all together. Service was excellent, our waiter was very proffesional and deserved his 15% tip. The value of dishes depended on what you ordered. Some were relatively cheap and had a great portion size enough to make you full, but some were overpriced and had portion sizes my 3 year old brother could finish, probably because the ingredients were rare (for example:truffles). If I were to describe it in one sentence, it would be a disappointment from a so-called upscale restaurant. Edit: I gave you one more star:)

Sterile. Was there for a cocktail party during happy hour then 8 of us stayed for dinner on a Friday night. We were all sober and trying to enjoy our meal. No one was complaining even though we were made to wait for others at the table to be served so many of us are cold food. The service and atmosphere was not sincere... Everything seemed off, plus we had to deal with bad attitudes. We were like an afterthought. Our party that night was light, everyone was respectful. But seemed like a burden on everyone that we were there. Strange place!

I rarely write bad reviews but this was our first trip up to Quebec and we had alot of fun but this restaurant doesn't know how to provide customer service! The restaurant is located right outside the plaza Quebec hotel. Waited over an hour for our food to be delivered and had to ask multiple servers what was taking so long.....well food finally arrived but it was the wrong order!!!! The only excuse the guy gave me was that they were super busy and stressed!! No apology or anything!! Well we had an amazing stay at this hotel, I wouldn't recommend eating here unless you absolutely have to. I would give it 0 stars if I could

Le point fort de ce plat fut sans contredit le filet mignon d'une bonne grosseur et cuit à la perfection. 3\5 Les deux seuls points positifs de notre de notre soirée ont été le filet mignon et l'excellant service du jeune homme dont je ne me souviens malheureusement plus du nom??? Notre groupe de 14 (famille) a été unanime pour dire que ce restaurant ne vaut pas plus que 2.5\5 étoiles malgré le 1500$ que nous avons tous allongé avec nos facture ce soir là.

I have been to this place couple of times. I like the ambience. The menu is limited but would do. They also have live music which is nice. However once the chicken wrapped in prosciutto wasn’t property cooked(it was pink raw and smelled raw chicken from grocery). Even though I stopped eating soon after I notice the source of the smell, I ended up having complications. Neither my feedback to the waiter nor my note on the bill brought any feedback or explanation.

We are staying at the hotel where the Ginger is located. We just finished our dinner and due to the management must give restaurant one star. Server friendly but never asked what we would like to drink. 2 of 6 meals came out. Then 5 min later 1 more meal arrived but was not what was ordered so sent back. Another 5 or so minutes passed and 2 more meals arrived, still missing 1 meal. We waited to eat. Another 15 minutes passed as kitchen cooking final meal. We could then finally eat together. No manager came to apologize nor was any portion comped nor any free drink or dessert offered. The food was ok, not sensational, veal tasty but not tender. We were all just amazed at overall lack of oversight.
