English friendly and good food if you are staying in the nearby hotels. They are a craft brewery and their beers are actually very good. This is a good place if you are staying here for business and have several clients you would like to take to dinner. Its classy but not over the top and relaxed as well. Quiet enough to have a dinner conversation and the palette of the food will not disappoint you. Coming from a sicilian I have high standards for anything pasta and pizza and have tried both here and am impressed to say the least.

Not a bad spot if you are stuck in the area but not as good as some other Archibald locations. The nachos are very good but the poutine is not very good (especially for Quebec!) and is a bit pricey. A few of their beers are pretty good (e.g., cream ale, bock).

Ordered nachos and ended up half burned and they still served it and we waited to tell them but it took over 20 minutes and ended up being hungry so we ate a little bit and they came back and refused to change it even burned. The beer is good but the waitresses didn't come often for water.

Archibald's is a business travelers Oasis. The menu is both diverse in flavors and wide ranging in price. You want a full meal, they have it. You want something light, they have it. Not the same old fare. They twist it just right, and will accommodate you if you wish the traditional. The proprietary brew is quite excellent, and they encourage you to taste/sample before you make your selection. Such hospitality is rarely encountered in any country. If you have any questions or concerns, address Jean-Francois, the manager, he will assist you. The out-dated stereotype of needing to speak French in Quebec does not exist at this delightful venue.

While staying at a hotel nearby, we visited Archibalds at their recommendation. Relaxing atmosphere, quick service, and pleasant staff made our stay enjoyable. But their beer and pub food made it worth coming back for. Nice selection and well crafted beer started the evening. The appetizer portions were generous and tasty. Would certainly recommend to a friend!

Upscale brewpub with "hunting cabin" decor. Serve a large selection of Archibald beers but also cocktails. I had one of the burgers and it was good. What I liked most was that it wasn't over done in terms of sauces and toppings. Overall although it was good I had a nice experience I felt like it was a little pricey for what it was.

Nice place for a beer and a meal or one without the other. Its a microbrewery with above average beer. For food the menu is complete, so everyone should find something to their taste. The best fries I ever had and the warm olives are a nice toutch! Lumbersexual decor so prepare to be enchented or turned off.

Local brewery. They do good beers. Personally the menu is OK. Quality/Price then more on the price and less in quality. They would get a lot renewing the menu, more freshness and add some mixology on the alcohol tab.

The food is good and the beer is above average. Be careful about going on weekends because it's always full. Even if you have a reservation, you'll have to wait between 15-30 minutes to have your table. Happened to me twice that our group had to awkwardly wait in the entrance while we were waiting for our supposedly reserved table to be ready.

Archibald is a Quebec City local brewery with number of different types of beer. The restaurant is close to the airport.Food is very good and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Nice mix of young and mature crowd. I like better the bar side, because of the fire place and you have option to sit at the heated patio outside if you want. After 6 pm it starts to get crowdy, so you might consider calling ahead if you planning to have dinner late.

Very nice and comfortable place. Staff are pretty friendly as expected. Nice beer selection. The IPA is not bad, with 70 IBU and a smooth but simple taste. However, it's a bit overpriced. 22 dollars before tax and tip for a plate with 7 nuggets/bites of the cheapest fish on the market is a bit too much.

Very popular place and by far the best in this area. The ambiance is great, lots of baeutiful people! I particularly enjoy the huge terrace in summer and fall (there is a retractable roof as well as heaters). They are famous for their selection of beers (which are now available in all groceries) but also for the menu which has quite a few great local dishes.

As “Canadian “ as you are going to get. We found this place as we were heading back from a weekend of fun in QC,QC. It is your stereotype of Canada come to life with the antler chandeliers, plaid decor and cool Canadiana over the walls throughout the walls. The food was really quite something and everyone ordered something unique. I had the blood pudding and the kids all chomped it down. Otherwise they have great burgers, pastas pizzas and house brewed beers! Overall a great little find and just off the main road into town which means we will be heading back on subsequent trips to the Belle Province.

They serve in house beer. If you like hipster style beer you will like it. Lots of choices. Steak I had was pretty good, tad chewy for the high price point. The tables are affixed to structural steel I-beams which I found a bit odd. Trophy heads on the walls are cool. Nice big patio.

What an amazing place! Great food, service, atmosphere, and drink!! The microbrews are amazing. I had the Veuve Noir, it was delicous, rich, and very smooth. Make sure you save room for dessert, the cheese cake was sublime!! Definitely check this place out if you're in the Sainte Foy area.

Archibald was recomended to me during a recent business trip. It was a Thursday evening and the large place was packed! I had one of their own beer's while waiting - it was very good. When we sat down we were given a great snack of warm olives - very good. I had the Mussels in Coconut Cury - it was very good and plentiful. My friend tried one of the Tartars - his first time to try a tartar and he really enjoyed it. Highly recomended - reservations are probably a good idea!

Great main meals, great beers and great service. The only thing is the entrées are really overpriced. It costs as much as a main meal and is in tiny portions. I ordered a burger for 21$ and fried calamaris for 20$. The size was really a joke, you are better off just buying 2 meals at this point.

this place is overrated, yes the place looks great, but othe than that, the beer is not very good (from a guy that drinks a lot of craft beer and my work is to counsel people on beer too) the foos is not but but again, overpriced. if you like making useless lineups to get a more than average product, you will like this place!

The Archibald was highly recommended by a friend of mine and in the 2 weeks we were in Quebec city, we went 3 times. Service is fast, the servers are nice and the food is amazing. I mean everything i tried was delicious. They also have a very nice selection of craft beers which you can get sampler flights. 10/10 would recommend.

What an awful and embarrassing experience. We traveled from Ottawa to enjoy an evening in beautiful Quebec City. We were looking for a nice place to have a bite to eat and some drinks. When arriving the hostess told us it was 2$ cover charge but it was actually coat check and then charged us 80$ to enter. Once realizing the situation (we should have earlier I know) we asked to speak to a manager to discuss the situation because it was a simple miscommunication. They stood there talking to eachother and after several minutes of standing there he walked up and said right away "are you English" we said yes he said "so what do you want to do" when we began to peacefully explain the situation he said I was crazy and being rude and then literally ran away saying "this is the night life".He also continued to say to my male friend that "his woman(aka me) is out of control". I truly felt discriminated against as a female. In all my years I have never been referred to as someone's women. I I have worked way to hard in life to be referred to as someone's property. I have never experienced such discrimination and unprofessional behaviour in my entire life. I am sincerely embarrassed and I will make sure each friend from Ontario will know that this establishment clearly has an issue with either tourists from Ontario, English speaking citizens or educated women with actual opinions. This establishment has clearly shown a blaitant act of discrimination and sexism. I will ensure to bring this further and reach out to local media. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.

Our hotel.was across the road, it was late and pouring rain- glad we chose this spit over the others nearby! Food was truly delicious, friendly service in English and French with great suggestions for food, and the beer was so good we bought some to bring home! Some live music in the bar was broadcast in house on TV's, so got to listen to the music while.eating too.

I wish there was no stars. This place was so unprofessional. The owner is sexist, and the hostess don't know how to explain things properly. I'm never coming here ever again and telling people to stay away. The manager told my friends husband "your women's out of control" he's so uneducated and should not own a business. We travelled from Ottawa for the weekend for New Years and wanted a bite to eat and got caught in a miscommunication between the hostess who eventually grabbed the manager who was just as unprofessional about it all. All we wanted was a refund. I have never been so embarrassed until coming to this establishment. Please if you are traveling from Ontario please do not go to this establishment this is a clear example of the classic issues between Quebec and Ontario. So sad.

Went on a thursday night, food was good ambiance and decor is really nice. The music was quite loud during dinning hours, there was a live band that started at 2100h and I understand that they cranked the volume up then. But, at 1830 or 1900, a bit quieter would've made conversations at our table easier.

A very popular busy spot for lunch and dinner. Bar side is busy with great energy lunch or dinner time. Live music adds to amazing atmosphere later on in the week. House beers are a must try! Interesting creative menu with efficient service and friendly staff which are easy to find and willing to add to your experience. If you are in the area at one of the local hotels, this is a spot you must try!

Had the pleasure of eating here a few times while on work travels. Service was quick and friendly as one would expect. The few nights I went it was very busy but we were accomodatesld the best they could. For a micro brew the beer selection is quite large and will satisfy any taste. The only downside is what I found to be a smaller appetizers menu, would of been nice to have a few more choices for a late night snack. Would definitely come again.

The place is big and busy, nothing wrong with that . The staff is friendly. They have plenty of beer selection. We came late at night and ordered the burger, I ask if I could have a medium rare patty but the server told me that due to the amount of orders all burgers were served well done.bummer ! We didn't try appetizer so no comments . Beers were good quality.
