Had a fantastic brunch this morning. The service was fantastic, very friendly and helpful making sure we had everything we needed. I had the Crab Cake Benny and it was perfect. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the crab cakes were crunchy and bursted with flavour. It was a fantastic blend of flavour and texture. The potatoes on the side were crunchy and amazing. To finish things off the table ordered the cinnamon bun that we all enjoyed with coffee. I highly recommend XIX Nineteen for all your brunching needs. We will be back!

Love the lounge during happy hour. Great food, prices and excellent service. Check out the mussels, flatbread, ginger beef, calamari and sliders. We are frequent patrons. Come early if you want a seat at happy hour 3-6 pm.

Great food with a lot of interesting options, it's hard to pick just one. So I picked 3 things. Food was great. Portions were perfect. Service was stellar. The drinks weren't that great with the glass mostly full of ice and a tiny bit of alcohol....and for the price, I'd go somewhere else for drinks, but definitely recommend the food here. And dessert!

TLDR: NO service was offered, entitled staff, will NEVER return I booked this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion as I had seen positive reviews online. Our reservation was for 5:30 pm on Friday May 3rd. We were quickly seated by the hostess and presented with menus. Five minutes go by, ten minutes go by when finally we realize no server has approached us. We waited another ten minutes before finally deciding to leave. Many servers made eye contact with us, a table near us even had their empty wine glasses cleared but the server had her back turned and didn’t ask if we had been helped. We were not even offered water. The restaurant was NOT busy and there was plenty of staff. When we went to leave, the hostess did not apologize when we told her about the poor service. She smirked and kept repeating “okay.” I have been eating out for many years and can say with certainty this is the worst service I have ever had because there wasn’t any! Do not support a business that doesn’t support its customers. I am glad we didn’t spend any money at this disappointing establishment as it would have been more than $150.

Very romantic, warm and inviting. Very friendly staff. Had the manager as a waitress and she was social and attentive. Food was delicious, alcohol was pricey but good. We went for lunch, so it was slow and they let us stay for an hour after our meal ended without asking multiple times if we wanted more and was always just a call or wave away. I took my wife here for her birthday dinner a couple days ago. We had a wonderful experience here. The staff was wonderful, and the food was delicious! We had the mussels and the tiger prawns, and a couple of martinis. All of the above was wonderful. The atmosphere is very well put together with a modern theme.

Expensive but worth it. Classy, contemporary setting and big portions. My beef short rib was rich and filling. I may also be slightly obsessed with the house-baked bread you get before the meal. Warm, soft with a hit of molasses, it's divine. My gin tea blossom cocktail was subtle and refreshing.

This is an expensive restaurant that I had researched beforehand. I made a reservation for last night at 530pm. It was not busy. We arrived and were seated right away. We sat for 20 minutes without being acknowledged by the many servers that were on staff. We weren’t offered drinks - we were literally ignored. They even prioritized cleaning a table right in front of us with their back to us! Finally we ended up leaving! I’m glad we didn’t spend $150+ in this awful restaurant.

One of our favorite spots in St Albert! Food is fantastic! Service is fantastic! We always plunk ourselves down in the lounge. Enjoyed the lobster ravioli and the honey garlic beef short ribs. Also some yummy cocktails. We highly recommend this spot and continue to go back and take family and friends.

Great service and good food, but missing little details that prevent this from being the high-class restaurant that it (and its price) are tying to be. Burnt out light bulbs and cheap accessories damage the atmosphere, and food imperfections (lukewarm food quality, cold and solid bread that would be disappointing for an olive garden, etc), prevent this from being the formal night and special occasion spot that this could be. A+ Staff, though.

I understand it isn't for everyone, but the cucumber in their Moscow mule makes for an exceptionally refreshing drink! The other drinks are odd similar quality, maple chili sour, smoked bourbon Manhattan, the jalapeno Margarita... All great. And the food is some of the best, if you're one of those eating types.

XIX is the place to go for a fabulous and classy night out. There staff is by far the most amazing people and go out of there way to make sure you have the most pleasurable experience. The food they provide as well is phenomenal and the chef and his staff will work as hard as they can to provide an amazing meal to you and your guests. The dining room is nicely set with beautiful paintings and elegant lighting. They have a happy hour that will blow any other happy hour out of the park. (3-6)pm everyday!! Truly outstanding place with outstanding service!! Would truly recommend to everyone.

Great restaurant and dining experience. From the moment you walk in you're greeted by amazing staff who are very well trained and courteous. The atmosphere is upscale but not super dimly lit or loud. Menu is diverse with many fresh ingredients and seasonal offerings. Chef caters to any needs and cooks a fantastic medley of favours and senses! Dessert (creme brule) was very savoury and super delicious - a must try! Overall a 10/10 dining experience and a definite repeat in my books!

What a very satisfying dinner! Customer service was A+, menu had a good amount of selections and was easy to read, and serving sizes were huge as you can tell by the pictures. We left feeling like we just ate at a buffet and we are not light eaters whatsoever. The food came out promptly, and was cooked perfectly. The setting was very romantic, so highly recommend for special occasions or dates. Special props to our server for making us feel very comfortable here for our first time and recommending a good camping spot for future reference haha.

This would have been a 5++ review except for the start of the experience below. *****update, server is great and the food amazing, but below still stands. Let’s just say we’re starting out on the wrong foot when after we’re seated being told, “so in two hours we have more important people coming and you’re going to have to GTFO”. Paraphrasing as I heard it of course, but I don’t usually go out to a decent restaurant to spend a few hundred dollars on a timeline. Boo and fail.

I had to call a couple of times to make changes to the reservation and both times they were very accommodating! Service with a smile from everyone from the host to all servers involved with our table, from beginning to end. Drinks and food were all great and tasty. Presentation was very good as well! Great food and better service. Had a family evening at nineteen with a table full of dietary restrictions. Our server was not only knowledgeable about food ingredients but also about preparation methods and practical and tasty alternatives. Service was appropriately timed to allow for ample conversation and time to digest between courses. We all ordered meat dishes that were cooked to our preference. All and all we plan on returning soon. Overall food was pricey but exceeded our expectations. Price level is to be expected for the type and quality of cuisine.

Stellar food and ambience at XIX. Having worked in the hospitality industry for 20 years I am hard to impress when it comes to a night out! It seems these days either the food or the service is off. It seems these days the value of what you receive doesn’t line up with what you pay…. This was definitely not the case at XIX. I would say this is the best meal i’ve had in years. It wasn’t cheap, but I didn’t leave feeling cheated. It was a true culinary experience and I look forward to coming back soon. Best wishes XIX. ????

I ordered through skip; mind you I don’t normally buy expensive items. I thought I was ordering burgers. LOL ‘twas not burgers it was what looked like sliced lunch meat. “wagyu beef carpatio” yeah… sooo that’s not a burger it’s very expensive slices of meat and a caprese salad for $60 dollars abouts. It was good dont get me wrong just wasn’t expecting it to be what it was. The husband and I had a good laugh. I’ve attached an image just in case someone is curious as to what it is… like I was. I had a wonderful dining experience here this evening from start to finish and received exceptional service throughout. Even though I went in without a reservation, which is never ideal, they had one table in the dining room that was not reserved and offered it to me and my date. Treated very respectfully by our server who was extremely charismatic, and enjoyed some other humour with a gentleman who was working. The food was top notch and both the appetizer and entree were an experience on their own. The salmon was cooked to perfection; the cocktails were wonderful and perfectly mixed to create a drink that is actually worth the $13 (2 Oz), expecially given that it is above industry standard.

Slow service and ok food. This is our 4th visit to XIX in 3 years. The same complaint is the terrible long service wait times. Whether it's dinner, lunch or cocktails - the staff takes at least 20 mins to even acknowledge you are there. No hello or water or drinks. This is not acceptable. Then it's another 20 mins for drinks and 45 mins for food. There were only 6 other people in the entire place. Lunch took 2 hours! Either management needs to get on top of this or hire more servers so 1 girl isn't running the bar, lounge and restaurant. Very sad. Males me not want to return as nothing has improved.

Food was amazing , service was very attentive. For appetizer the tuna sliders were great, not really spicy at all. The sauce the mussels were in was so delicious I kept dipping my bread in it. The fries with espresso aioli was a nice twist. Although the mussels were a little bit on the pricier side, they did come with fries. For dinner the gnocchi was superb, probably the best I've had. Will definitely order again. Not pictured is the Apple Pie, it is in a soft crusty philo like pasty and was heavenly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I came here for a special dinner out, and were pleasantly surprised with how nice the staff were. The atmosphere was was welcoming. Meals were excellent. We enjoyed the crab cakes which I would recommend as a starter. The lobster ravioli was very good. Has a spicy kick to it. Would enjoy another meal at this restaurant.

I really love this restaurant. I would consider it Fine Dining, but they are so good with groups and families (and kids) it also has a family restaurant feel. Completely unpretentious, great service and nice atmosphere. The menu is not huge which is a good thing- quality over quantity. I just came back here for a birthday dinner, with parents, spouse and toddler. We were able to get in with only 2 hours notice. The service was excellent. We ordered a bit of everything but the Lamb Shank really stood out for me. My daughter ate a lot too which is rare- it was nice to see a kids menu that was “fancy” but also appealing to kids! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys quality food, or wants to wine & dine. I prefer XIX to Joeys/Keg/Earls/Ruth’s Chris/like.

We went there yesterday, since the XIX has always been an excellent experience , this time it was different, I thought with everything going on they would be a bit more cautious with everything going on and while we were eating a whole party of 15 people arrive and sat on the next tables, getting up and walking around without masks. I though 15 people partying together was not allowed.

Visited this place several years ago and thought it was average so thought I would try it again. Great ambiance and service. The food itself is flavorful and everything we had was decent however the price does not match the quantity of food you receive. Our whole table was still hungry after sharing appetizers, our entrees and dessert. Lobster ravioli was drenched in a sauce with 3 shrimp and 6 pieces of pasta. Will not be returning. There are many high end restaurants that deserve 5 stars in the city. Unfortunately this is not one of them.

My wife and I tried out this spot for a romantic night out and were blown away by the quality of food and amazing tastes. The staff was very nice and helpful and accommodating. We are vegaterians and the chef even made a special dish just for us. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and we will definitely come back and bring people with us next time. 5 stars all the way. Awesome food, great location, and over all had a wonderful time and experience here.

Food is great but service is cheap. Went for a nice birthday dinner with friends but our group found service disappointing for a “fine dining” restaurant. I don’t mind splurging on a nice meal out with friends for a special occasion but I do expect better service to accompany the price-tag. Our table was not ready when we arrived. We found food and drink service to be slow. Our table was charged $4 for extra bread to go with an already $28 appetizer. Never included a complimentary dessert even though they asked if we were there celebrating something special. On top of that they were not accommodating to the Celiac allergy in our group- refusing to make her a GF appetizer. Food was great, just not the service you expect from a higher end restaurant.

I had gone for dinner with a colleague, expecting a phenominal meal. I had heard good things about the beef short rib, and so choose for dinner. The presentation was beautiful, with three onion rings stacked carefully on top. However.... I was absolutely disgusted and disappointed that such a spectacular cut of beef could be so profoundly ruined by the demi-glace. Instead of a rich, earthy and hearty flavour, it was drowning in a sickly sweet BBQ-type sauce that would send anyone's blood sugar up to 30 within seconds of ingestion. I was profoundly disappointed with XIX Nineteen, and for a $45 dish, so is my wallet.

Only been there once and had the burger. It wasn't a fancy burger or a anything like that but I would go back again sometime. I didn't like how fries were a extra cost with my burger though. Something so cheap shouldn't be a big charge for the little portion you receive.

I am disappointed. This was not our first time dining here.( I mention this because for whatever reason,we were asked this this when we first came in.) My husband and I wanted a table for 2. I asked if reservations were required and was informed that there was a wait of approximately 20 minutes or we could eat at the bar in the lounge. We did not want to eat at the bar in the lounge but were encouraged to sit in there while we were waiting as that was the procedure. They took our name and we went to wait. We ordered drinks and waited. Then, being patient, and hungry, we ordered an appetizer and I ordered a second drink.The waitress asked us if we wanted to order from the main menu.(maybe that was a clue.) We said no did not want to eat our meal in the lounge. We arrived at 7:25. At approximately 8:45 I asked how much longer. The bar waitress went to ask and returned saying we were next (whatever that meant as she still could not give us a time) We paid and left. I felt that the moment we went to the bar, we were considered taken care of. At no time did anyone come to tell us the wait was longer and why. We were conveniently forgotten. And why were we asked if we had eaten there before? We know that the food is expensive there. Our last bill was about $160.00 for the two of us. And we tip generously. My advice is : Don't go without reservations. And if you do, dress rich(I am only assuming we weren't meeting the expectations of high end dress why else ask if we had eaten there before unless you don't measure up somehow) and don't go to the lounge as you will become forgotten.

Fantastic service and amazing food. The selection at lunch is somewhat limited, but the beef dip is the only thing that really needs to be there. It's that good! My friend had the Ahi tuna twirl and it was spectacular. Would highly recommend for a nice lunch. (No drinks, $95 for 3)

I’m not sure where to start. Reservations were set for 8pm. Food didn’t arrive till 9:30. The waitress was told that we were celebrating our anniversary. We then watched as other people came in after us not only get appetizers before us but they also got their entrées before us as well now I’m not completely sure if the service was because we are younger than the average guest here but it’s hard to think other wise when the other couple our age got treated this way as-well. Anyway the food came just for his steak to be cold and mine food to not be fully cooked. My advice for staff is don’t treat young people like they have no money. Fully cook their food and maybe they’ll tell their parents and grandparents to come here because clearly that’s the audience you would like to treat well.
