Food is decent, nothing amazing. Biggest problem I have is the portions are quite small for the price you pay. Drink selection is pretty good and fairly priced. I would stick to drinks and appetizers. If your going for a meal your dollar will fill you up better elsewhere. Service has always been pretty good. Parking can be tricky depending on time of day and day of the week.

Came in for Saturday Morning brunch, randomly selected Browns based on reviews online. Atmosphere was great, well appointed but not pretentious. Staff was warm, welcoming, friendly and knowledgable. Service time was average. While I was waiting I ordered a double ceaser and DAMN that was a fantastic drink. Flavourful, punchy, yet simple with a healthy dose of horseradish. I had time to order a second before the food came, but it was worth the wait. I ordered the Prosciutto Eggs Benedict and oh my God was it good. This was a perfectly executed meal, absolutely every flavour was perfectly balanced, the house made hollandaise was TO DIE FOR. Every texture was perfect right down to the soft English muffin which somehow managed to melt in my mouth while still being crispy on the outside. The potatoes were fantastic, and I am picky about those. Our gorgeous waitress Brooklyn was very friendly and accommodating and all in all I would recommend Browns as the single best place to get brunch in town. I've had the same dish at Jasper Park Lodge's 4 star restaurant and honestly it didn't even compare. Eat here!

I went back since my last review, thank you. It was much better. The food is still great but I understand the staffing issues that must be happening. Not knowing if two customers are going to show or a packed house. I like it there, it's comfortable but elegant at the same time. My server was awesome as well. It was a good night!

The waitress was excellent. The Haddock had salad that the add nuts on. I forgot the y had it. As I developed allergies to them and I had a hard time after I ate that. I had to actually pick them out I tried to eat it with them off but I accidentally ate one I learned after that that I just sent it back but I didn't cuz I didn't want to make waitress to feel bad. My suggestion is whenever they have nuts in dishes make sure it's loud and clear to people or put it on the side. Thanks

Had the bacon chicken sandwich, it was pretty good. The fries are ok quality here but ridics small serving. You better get an appetizer and I would recommend the hot Chicken bites they were great. Service was good.. Best part of the meal was the $5 social IPA good price for a solid beer.

Update Jan 2019: It's not as good as it used to be. Tons of things being phased out from the menu. Most of items that our family and friends enjoyed have been phased out over last year or two. Portions have been decreased as well (i'm looking at your Keylime pie). I get that restaurants need to control their costs and they run a business but why make such bad changes to the menu. Even your waitresses agree that so many good items are now discontinued.

We hold a lot of business meetings at Browns because of the seating. The new menu is not that exciting. Prices seem to be high for the variety and quality of the food. Waitress's were very nice.

Well we decided to finally go put for dinner and our recent visit wasn't so pleasant. We mentioned we could even be seated at the bar as it was just the two of us for dinner but the hostess decided she would put us in the entrance area. This entrance area had a heater blasting away the whole time which made it very hard to eat our food.We sat down and eventually our waitress came by who was very friendly I might add. She took our drink orders and when arriving back we mentioned that we wanted to do the Valentines special that was on. We ordered the dry ribs and our waitress left. About 10 min later she returned and said we are all out of dry ribs. I'm thinking it's 5:45 pm and your already out of food..disappointing as you would think the kitchen staff and manager would ensure these items are ready to go for being open. So we compromised and ordered something we didn't want as it was part of the package deal for Valentines we felt obligated to order this. Then when we went to order our main meals before we got two words out the waitress says oh and by the way we are also out of steak...im thinking seriously wow..again by this time it's 6 pm and your out of steak...on top of all this...was the worst experience I've ever had at Browns and I'm very disappointed

Went with some friends for dinner, we waited 15 minutes for someone to even come to our table then waited another 15-20 minutes for our drinks finally got our food ordered. I ordered the sushi rolls! (They tasted great) when they got to my table I asked the waitress “These don’t have nuts or anything right” assuming that they didn’t but just double checking (allergic to nuts) and she said let me check, can back and turns out they were made on the line with peanuts and the cook didn’t wash his hands she said- so they re made it. It took another 20 minutes to get the new sushi. I had to get it to go before I even ate any, because we were late for our bowling time. We got the bill and she charged me for the sushi PLUS half of the other one she took back and I never ate because of the nuts. Was not very impressed with that.

The "indoor patio" is a really great place to bring a group along with some one who is either elderly or shy or hard of hearing or just prefers not to mingle with a loud crowd. Sound doesn't bounce around in this space, so you can hear everyone in your party and they can hear you but your also not disturbing anyone else. The space feels so relaxed yet really nice. I think it would be a great place for a date too. I absolutely loved the Ahi Tuna Salad. It was delicious! The tuna was perfect and the flavors in the salad were so good! I would absolutely go back to Brown's Social House, my family and I had a great time.

We had lunch at Brown's Socialhouse in Clearview Market today. One of the best meals I've had from a dine-in restaurant in a while! Our waitress was Melissa & she was friendly & knew a lot about the dishes they serve. She offered up a few suggestions of her favorites. I ordered one of them, the crispy chicken sandwich & it was ridiculously good! Our appy was the Dynamite roll & it was amazing! It looked & smelled so good, that I didn't even get the chance to snap a picture! Compliments to the chef & thanks for the great service Melissa!

Great experience, my meal was delicious and the appetizers were great. Calamari was perfect and the sauce was Devine. My husband's burger was slightly under done and when he mentioned it they immediately took it to the kitchen, the manager came out and apologized and brought him fresh fries to munch on while they cooked him a new burger, then when the burger was done the plate came out with a perfectly cooked burger and more fries. The manager also made sure to discount the burger cost on the bill. The food also came out very fast and it was a busy night. I will say we will likely be back again.

Not a single normal beer on tap, food is overpriced for what you get, and the service is spotty. Atmosphere is geared toward your standard "I only drink beer from local small breweries because they use more hops and brew in small batches" type clientele. I would avoid unless you are currently wearing skinny jeans and have a perfectly trimmed beard.

We wanted to have a group of us in for a few different people’s birthday suppers but we weren’t allowed to make a reservation because it fell during suppertime. Edit: Below they let us know they have an app we could have tried, but unfortunately neither of the people we spoke to on the phone mentioned this. I checked it out but we are coming from out of town and it really isn’t the type of customer service we are hoping to receive for our group. Whether we are waiting in the restaurant or somewhere else around town while in the app, risking a long wait at 7:30pm is not for us.

If you're into margaritas, here at the bar I have tried the best in red deer so far. They do have good appetizers as well. If you are looking for a place to watch a game, this is your place. Usually the first beer is colder than the rest.

I hadnt been here in over a year so I was excited, the ancient grain and kale salad has been my favorite salad from any restaurant ever and it was honestly so bad this time. Barely any dressing, I asked for no beets and there were beets anyways and the kale was so chewy and stale tasting. Clearly didn't prep the kale the way they used to, wont be returning.

Ordered from skip the dishes. Was missing an entire order. Burger and fries. Skip the dishes refunded me for the missing items and delivery fee so I could re-order the missing items. After waiting for 15 minutes, browns never confirmed the order. Attempted to order again and was met with another wait. Decided I would cancel the order and spend my money elsewhere in the future. Shame because I have ordered countless times with no issue, love their food, but this was extremely disappointing..

On mothers day I placed my order online at 4:30 to be pick up at 6. I arrived just before 6 and my order was not ready until 6:55. There were approx: 25 people waiting for their orders. The restaurant was filling all the skip the d*shes and door d*ash orders ahead of the pick up orders even though most of the pick up orders were placed first. My order # was in the 6's and they were filling delivery service orders ahead of me in the 9's. I over heard one of the delivery people say the restaurant is financially responsible for the order if it is late. This restaurant made me and a bunch of others (pick up orders) wait for 55mins or more for our orders while they filled delivery service orders that were just reciently placed. I never use delivery services, I like to support local and give 100% of the profits to the restaurant even if it means I have to drive across town. Shame on Brown's Social House for taking advantage of me and other paying customers who try to support you during the pandemic. This business will not get another cent from me or my family and I will be sure to share this experience with all my friends and co-workers. The food was ok but not great. I attached photos of 2 dishes in my order which were terrible. Vegetable lettuce wrap (basiclly noodles and a half head of lettuce)and cauliflower bites. (Burnt and hard, looked and tasted like the tailings of a previous order) I don't mind spending my money on a good meal but this meal cost over $100 and it was not good.

Today it was old favs edamame beans and hot wings, paired with an Italian Job pizza and the Southwest Bowl. The hot wings are right in that tasty wheelhouse - not too hot - and the blue cheese dip bumps it up a notch. Add an Old Fashioned and a Caesar with some horseradish and things go from solid to fantastic.

Went to Browns last Friday, as usual my sister was 1/2 hr late, however even as busy as it was the staff didn't push us and kept our beer flowing. Not crazy about the beer selection. The social lager I was told is made by GIB but I can see why they don't put their name on it! It tastes more like any run of the mill macrobeer. The Stanley Park Lager got me through the meal nicely though. Why can't any of these places keep a decent craft ale on the menu. Anyway the food came quicly and was very good. The staff treated us and our 6month old ( grandniece?) very well.

One night my girlfriend and I decided to come to Browns Social house to enjoy a late night dinner. Once we sat it took our waitress at least 10 minutes to greet us and take our drink orders. Another 10 for her to come back with our drinks and at least 20 minutes for our food. Once we had our food we started munching I found my food satisfying but my girlfriend did not find hers satisfying at all. Ages later she came to check on our food and took my girlfriends away. Later when we collected the bill I made sure that she took my partners food off the bill, once it was satisfied that it was not I told my partner it was all good to pay. Once paid we got up and left with no farewell from ANYONE. Keep in mind there was only a handful of people in the entire restaurant so it's not like she was overwhelmed. DO NOT GO.

Always have an excellent meal and, experience, in any Browns Socialhouse that I have visited. I absolutely LOVE their ahi tuna poke bowl and, the dragon bowl but, really ~ everything they serve is delicious. Service is exceptional and, pricing is fair. One of my family's favourites (and, my granddaughter's absolute favourite) places to go!

Friendly, professional greeter. Vibrant atmosphere in the establishment, the server made us feel welcome and was charming. The server was knowledgeable about the meals. Each course served in timely fashion. We were not rushed through our dining experience, as some other dining establishments. Our food was perfect. We have had the same experience all three times we've dined there. Highly recommend this location.

Review update: Changing review from 3 to 5 stars. Brown's Social House went above and beyond to satisfactorily respond to my concern - thank you! Great food! Members of our family often swing by for take-out. Note: At the Red Deer location the to-go soup fills the container just over the halfway line. I was told it's consistent in size to the dine-in portion, however, and is great for a side, but it's not substantial enough for a light lunch/dinner by itself. The thai chicken soup is delicious! The Lethbridge location portions are much more substantial on everything take-out as compared to Red Deer (and they fill the same-sized soup to-go containers to the top). I'm not sure why there's a discrepency.

Just ordered take out from Browns would not recommend it although it tasted very good the portions were ridiculous the Thai soup was 7.00 and there was barely 1/2 a cup and the sweet potatoe fries was about half of what you get when dining in - we probably won’t ever go back would not recommend ordering takeout

First time here on Saturday morning for brunch. I had 3 home made waffles while my friend had the corned beef, peppers and eggs with hollandaise sauce. Both were extremely tasty! Service was pretty good and the coffee here was also smooth and flavorful. The cream on the waffles was freshly made as were the waffles themselves. 2 thumbs up! Would definitely recommend getting there between 10-11am as i noticed it got noticeably busier after 11.

Came here with a group of close to 20 for a work function. Service was prompt and all orders were accurate. I was impressed, knowing how difficult large parties can sometimes be for a server to take care of. We visited Brown's by default as our 1st choice was way too noisy for a visit. "Our staff", at least 3 staffers, were so impressive, helpful and patient. And the food was A1 to us all. A most pleasant experience tho not a place for penny-pinchers; our bill, with one drink per, was about $160+. A lot for 3 of us (out of 5) but we were celebrating my out-of-Province guests and didn't complain. We enjoyed our visit enough to tip most generously. I hope to return ASAP.

Food and drinks were great, service was garbage. Came on Tuesday night with another. About three to four other tables were taken. When we ordered our food and drinks we didn't see a server for another 40+ minutes after receiving our food and drinks. When the server finally stopped by she asked if we were done with the food and when we hesitated said "oh that's okay, I'm in no hurry" and promptly left instead of asking us if we wanted anything else or taking the stack of empty dishes. Twenty minutes later she showed up and asked if we wanted another drink and our bill. Disappointing for a dead Tuesday.

Today was the first time we have been there. The food was great but the service wasn't the greatest. Didn't even get her name. We did not know about the happy hour specials and when I mentioned it too the waitress she could have cared a less.i could have had 1 piece of fish and chips for 10.00 instead of wasting food for 22.95 which is very pricy for fish and chips. We thought we would try somewhere new but I guess we will stick with Tony romas, ranch house really good food but very good service as well. Sorry this is my opinion

We went tonight for our usual date night, food was good, not as good as it usually is. Our water was served by a hostess who picked each glass cupping her hand over the rim...when I said that you shouldn’t handle the glass by the rim I was given an eye roll. She said so do you want another one and I responded yes! Then she returned with another water and cleaned tables removing glasses in the same way, seated customers and didn’t seem to take any time to wash her hands, going from dirty dishes, menus, then serving food from the kitchen. Someone needs to teach the staff some food handling hygiene before people get sick!

I recently have been put on strict dietary restrictions by a doctor that makes eating out extremely difficult. Brown's staff was wonderful at hearing and accommodating my tricky needs. I was blown away by their care in the matter. I was able to enjoy a meal out with my family again. Brown's is also one of the few restaurants that don't choke me out with air freshener in the bathroom to which I am highly allergic. As much as I would love no air freshener, at least I could use the washroom here.

Have been here with friends a couple of times in the last month. The service is always friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. If you go between 4-6 pm they have some appetizer specials. The drinks are very flavourable and the menu has a great selection. Portions are large and I have been fortunate to take home leftovers to extend the meal the last two times.

Been ordering take out from here for a year now and up until a couple months ago they were very efficient - well that’s changed much for the worse. We are big fans of Brown's Social Houses in Alberta. This location was even better than the other's we have visited. The menu has a great variety of food, it's decently priced and the atmosphere is fun and unique. Our only complaint is that there never seems to be any follow up from the wait staff once they have done their first check up on the food quality. I've sat a few times, at different Brown's locations, with an empty glass. These are first world problems, let me tell ya.
