My friend and I went there, in an attempt to try something other that CrossRoads, but, we ended up going back to CrossRoads. We waited for a few minutes at the door to wait for a table to be cleared and sanitized, which for me, works perfect, considering the current state of the world. It was a rather busy night, it was a Saturday. Most of the tables were occupied, the bartender seemed well experienced - the servers were not waiting for drinks for very long. The menu looked good. It was awfully loud in there. We wanted to go in for some appies and a few drinks, but we were yelling across the table. I am not sure if that was a simple mistake or not, but it was rather off-putting. Once we grabbed a table, we were greeted by the server, and she asked us what we wanted to drink. We explained that we had never been there before and would like a minute to explore the menu. She smiled, and told us for sure. And then, we never saw her again. We ended up walking out.

We go to the Black Clover often...and always enjoy it. Decided to take my Irish mother there for dinner for St. Patrick's day... Paid $5 cover each...walked through the most filth I've ever seen in a pub (including a full on peanut bar)...sat for 15 minutes with ZERO service, even though there were three servers circling our table...no sign of live music...decided to give up and go somewhere else....????disappointing...

We had a birthday dinner there, first time here. Over an hour sitting and had 3 drinks, our server only came to our table a couple of times the whole time we were there. And one of us ordered a drink, she would leave the table before another could order a drink. Our food took about an hour to come. Our waitress was quite chatty with others, even while we waited another 10-15 minutes for our bill. Food was great though, service wasn't.

We have been loyal customer since you guys first open we loved your nice quite Irish setting and tasty English grub we were so happy that we were telling everyone about the great service. Haven't been there for a about 4 months and when we went there today and the service has changed for the worst and had to wait for our server and when we got our menu she never said anything about half the menu not being in stock. Then when we did get our food it was not really good and was small portion I will never go there again.

Have never had a bad bite yet. It's one of my go to favorite places. Roasted cauliflower is one of my most ordered sides & red sangria(although both are great).. WAIT, try their Caesar's !. I can go on. If you haven't tried this lil quaint place it's a must & sweet for a date night, you can't go wrong.

The rooftop patio was such a relaxing and inviting experience. Both my mom and I agreed that it felt like we were in another city. The char grilled food was so delicious! Great flavors, and very attentive friendly service. We will absolutely be back and have spread the positive word to friends and family.

I've never been this level of impressed , satisfied and amazed all at once. Food is like something you would expect Gordon Ramsey to drool over. Drink menu is sophisticated and impressive. The atmosphere is electric and the music is just WOW 12/10 recommend

Live music on Thursday nights make it great place to relax during the week. I really appreciate the beer cocktails and "Rachel" sandwich. They seem to have new lunch specials often, and their sandwich board art is pretty high calibre.

The Black Clover has great food at good prices in a nice atmosphere. The menu contains a mix of Irish, British, and North American fare, all in good portions and done right. It gets busy, but never too loud even with large groups and live music, so it's a great place to go with friends or alone. Do take advantage of the pool table, dart boards, and free popcorn if you bring friends to make your experience complete.

The food was great, the service started out great but lacked towards the end. We had reservations and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Partway through our drink after the meal, a staff member who had repeatedly come around the corner to glance at us while we ate asked us to move to another smaller table nearby so he could seat a table of 6. We moved and were replaced by 3 people. After we had been moved partway through our drinks, we were essentially forgotten about. We sat with empty drinks for the next 30 minutes while waiting for our bill. I would return for the food, but the customer service definitely missed the mark.

Service was poor, the bouncer was aggressive even though we all only had one beer. Overpriced food. The nachos were tasty, but the soup was really under-spiced. It was also very loud and hard to have a conversation.

Fantastic place to go for drinks, food, sports, or just good company. Went for my first time last night and didn't have a single complaint. My beer was cold the atmosphere was great and the staff awesome! The food was all really interesting too, I'll be heading back to try more of it. Staff are seriously great there, they are knowledgeable, fast, and great for a chat. Also they don't take nonsense. If a girl is getting unwanted attention or the boys have had a bit much to drink they step in when they should. 10/5 would go again and bring my friends. Shout out to Mike our waiter and bartender!

Absolutely terrible service and food last night. I sat down with a table of 5 friends and immediately ordered 2 sliders, my friends ordered 20 minutes later. Their food showed up almost 45 minutes before mine and to top it all off my sliders were nearly inedible. Will not be returning

Been to The Black Clover a few times, this is my opinion. Service has been excellent, except for one very busy night it was difficult to get my bill (understandabley so). Very friendly staff quite professional but not always prompt. Environment is fantastic if your looking for a proper pub atmosphere. Nice three way long tables encourage interaction, and the brick, wood and copper creates a wam feeling. Mix that with either the live music or the Irish pub music, it makes for an open relaxing atmosphere. The clincher for me was the two dart boards (the only ones in Prince George as far as I'm aware) and the pool table. I should ad that the location is awesome to start out a Friday or Saturday night. Food has been good consistently in my experience, however not great. Price seems a little steep to justify only good food. Very strong tastes though, so if that's your thing you might have a different experience than I. Drink selection is great, and diverse. Once again expect to pay for it (Guinness was $7.50 at an Irish Pub!!!) But the mix drinks have been fantastic! My verdict is, I will be going back but the prices make it difficult for me to make this my weekday pub when compared to places like the Westwood and Bx. I wouldn't think twice about taking a group of friend here.

It's rare I get to say I was truly blown away, but this time I get to say it. The Pot roast was so tender and so flavourful that I couldn't leave anything less than 5 stars. In addition the beer was good, the staff were courteous and professional, and the atmosphere was relaxing, inviting, and truly pub like. One of the best eating experiences I have ever had.

Generous alcohol portions. Good variety of food and drink. Relaxed environment. I went with a small group and all our food and drinks were delicious. I got the veggie burger and it had thick slices of tomato. My only complaint was the mushrooms were burnt to a crisp. I couldn't even tell they were mushrooms. However the burger tasted great without them. It came with a generous side of salad. Definitely recommend

Bartender was great super nice fella. Love the decor it was cozy. Unfortunately the food was not so fantastic. Burnt burger and the chicken club was super dry. Neither of the people that ate the meals took more then 3 bites. We would have talked to our server but we had the food to go. I'm sure it is a one off experience. Everything else was great.

Had a late lunch/early dinner. Service was perfect. Husband didn't get the poutine he ordered with his burger so they made him an entire extra plate of poutine and still gave a discount. Parents said the Pot Roast (beef rib) was excellent in the past but a fatty this time. My Alberta BBQ Bison burger was excellent. Coming from a family of farmers and hunters I am picky about the processed beef in restaurants. It was refreshing to see their ground beef is hormone free and local.

The bartenders Mike and Erin are fantastic people, and very friendly. The overall atmosphere of the clover is great, as with the prices they're about what you'd expect anywhere else, not too loud but just enough to enjoy while you have a nice whiskey. I never did have anything to eat while I was there this trip, so no comment. Cheers till next time clover.

I ordered a crispy chicken burger. Came out with a beef patty, normally no problem just asked for the chicken patty I'd swap it out. Took an hour and a half for the crispy chicken patty to come out. By then we were leaving. Not the waitresses fault. Was the kitchen.

I love the wings. Server was super great and nice. Not quite fond of the Pot Roast personally; it just wasn't quite what I expected, but I didn't really know what to expect really. It tasted good, but it wasn't as tender as I thought it should/could have been. So, yeah, back to those wings. Those glorious deliciously cooked, crispy and flavourful salt and pepper wings. I would go back for those wings every day. Oh, man. There are two missing in the picture because I had to stop and take a picture after we bit into them.

part owner / primary steak holder (Kelly) was great until about 6 drinks in which case he told the bar staff to poor 1 shot for himself and state that our visit was no longer welcome and our further visit would be met with violence. We had been sitting with the said owner talking for nearly 6hrs and up until he was in diagreance with what was discussed which we were meet with threats of violence on a monday night. Stay away from this place, the owner is violent and unstable.

I can say one thing this bar seems to have great management although they are having a tough finding decent wait-staff. The one lady with dread locks was friendly and attentive but the little weasely fellow was very slow and I think I saw him stealing cheese off a customers plate. All in all I would recommend this place for the great atmosphere but definitely suggest you count your mozza sticks when being served by anyone resembling a man-rat or weasel if you will.

The food is ok, the drinks are genius, Friday night music when we went was ok but a bit too sad of songs for a Friday night, service was mediocre (seemed understaffed, the girls were trying!) Many of us started at empty glasses while trying to flag servers down. I'll go again but I'm not rushing out to give it another shot. This was my second time there.

The first time I ever went to this place was when it very first opened. I had two really bad experiences that lead me to not come back for a while. I went and visited their new rooftop patio the other day, and I couldn't be more happy to see that the Black Clover is now one of my favourite places to be in Prince George. Great people, great atmosphere, and AMAZING food! The cocktails are great, the beer is even better and I have to say I am VERY proud to see how far the Clover has come. Well done guys, I'll see you very soon again :)

I've loved this place since opening day, such a great atmosphere and the staff are always welcoming. The menu is a little over crowded but that just means you'll be hard pressed to make a decision; the drinks are awesome and always warm the spirit. Definitely worth a visit, or two.

After a nine hour drive a friend and I set out to comb the desolate cold foreign city of Prince George for a few drinks. After having a burn across the street from the hotel, we saw some good folks smoking down the block, bingo. Maybe expecting a few old people leaned over a bar, we were pleasantly surprised when we marched into what seemed to be an epicenter of night life, a bustling pub packed with good folks, very friendly bar tenders, and great selection of drinks. Had a look at the food menu and immediately made a selection of breakfast for the morning before we set out. Good stuff lads!

Great atmosphere... I was so happy I could eat the wings.. non battered.. gluten free amazing choices. My waitress was so amazing I wish I could remember her name..I gave her a great tip cause she went above and beyond.. including when another server brought me my drink with only one lime (not a big deal to some, a big deal to me) my waitress noticed right away and finished what she was doing and brought me my second lime right away. It's the little things like that that stand out to me as a server.. Great crowd... it was a great night out..

Service took a little to get to our table but the food we ordered came rather quickly once it was ordered. I had the club sandwich which is now my favorite sandwich in the city, not to mention it was surprisingly cheap to eat there! Overall, might just need more waitresses, but the only problem is we got forgotten once or twice.

We went for the first time not knowing what to expect and it was definitely a pub atmosphere but with a very cozy and upscale feel to it. Great menu and excellent service. The meal was delicious. Definitely would be a great place to go for drinks with friends on a Friday night but also good for date night.

Best pub in town, period. Their burgers are to die for, and they have the cheapest pints of Guinness in the North. Tons of good bar games to be had here, and they have live music playing late at night. Great atmosphere, amazing customer service, and always they always serve their beer cold.
