What a great time on the patio! We had great service from the wait staff. No rush, we felt very relaxed. The meals were amazing. Easy to get delicious gluten free options. Husband had a burger and salad. I had the seafood artichoke appetizer and we all shared. Very tasty and lovely soft pita bread. ( I can eat gluten!) Main was the falafel burger. Yum. I had the oat cookies and lemon curd for dessert. Unique and very delicous dessert. We will be back!

I've gone here few times and I get their burger each time. Service is very friendly and atmosphere is great, but single time the burger comes out, it's over-cooked, chared to a crisp, and super dry. My table ordered a potato nacho platter, three burgers, fish and chips, stuffed chicken breast, and a chicken quesadilla, and every item had something overcooked on their plate. The nachos were burnt around the side and has burnt cheese on top, the fish was over-cooked, each burger was overcooked and dry, despite asking for it to not be burnt, the quesadilla was grilled for way too long, and the roasted potatoes that came with the stuffed chicken breast were also overcooked. Don't know what's going on with that kitchen, but they can't seem to figure out how to time their orders right. Won't be going back again.

I had such a nice first date here this evening. The atmosphere was nice, there were booths free for the first time I've seen EVER, the Guiness was delicious and so were the scallops, and there were some great musicians playing in a kitchen party style. Glad to have spent the night at the Old T, thank you !

This is a great venue to hang out. We rented the top floor which was very spacious. There were plenty of waiters so there wasn't a wait. The bangers and mash were incredible, especially the sausages. Overall, this was a great place to spend the night before the wedding we had for the next day.

Very nice traditional Irish pub! They have live music very frequently. They have those cool enclosed booths as well, not every pub has those. Food was very good too. Seafood chowder in particular was amazing, but their ceasar salad was quite memorable as well! Nice place, the best Irish pub in Charlottetown.

Tried emailing management two weeks ago with no response. We usually go to the old triangle in Halifax; however, I have visited the Charlottetown location many times before, and visited the Charlottetown Old Triangle on May the 13th. It was a busy evening. I have seen the place busier, however, it was a pretty full house. We were there for a graduating students diner. We expected reasonable value pub food with reasonable, OR at least some basic service (as I mentioned, we frequent the Halifax location ((and this is what we usually receive)). What we actually received was not service. The first thing said to the table of eight (ages 21 - 65) "What can I get you to drink", no hello - okay that is fine. The second thing "what can I get you" - great. Then, nothing. Not once were we offered drink refills or additional drinks. Not once did the server ask or check how the food was. We had a overcooked steak at the table and we literally had to go find the server - which, was remade and was even worst than the first - still no assurance or even a "how is the steak/food". At this point, I went to look for a manager. There was not one on duty, but our server caught wind I was looking for one and ACTUALLY came to the table for the first time. I explained that the lock of service was incredibly disappointing (no drink refills, offers for additional items, etc), not to mention the steak done wrong twice. Being very empathetic, I reassured her it was not an attack on her, it was pretty busy in the restaurant, etc, but overall really the experience was truly unacceptable. She offered to comp the table 25%, but not before getting defensive snapping something along the lines of " Yeah, well everyone else in here is looking for that experience too". ...I sure hope they are - this is a restaurant/ business establishment. What I wanted: ONE check how the food was. ONE offer for drink refill. What I received: The worst dining experience I can recall. I really have walked in this girl's shoes, I have worked in the restaurant industry for 9 years; as a server, as a food service manager, etc. Her level of unprofessionalism and disrespect had no place in this restaurant or even in the industry. This was a table where money was not an issue, and truly, the server missed a chance on a large bill and sale for the restaurant. Not to mention providing NO service and a horrible experience. Tried emailing management two weeks ago with no response.

We went to the Old Triangle this past Friday night to see Richard Wood & Gordon Belsher and we had a fabulous time. We truly enjoyed the venue and the music was phenomenal. I had the mussels and my wife had the spinach salad with shrimp. We also shared the hummus plate and a bottle of Malbec. Everything was delectable. Last but not least was the service. Our waiter was a hoot with a great dry sense of humor. We strongly recommend the pub and we’ll definitely go again during our next PEI road trip.

I got the Seafood Chowder (Bowl). It came with a buttermilk biscuit and two packages of premium crackers. My all time favourite Seafood Chowder was the Hunters Ale House but I feel like this one took first place or is definitely a tie with Hunters.

Whenever we visit the island the wife and I make a point to stop in to the Triangle for some curried chicken & fries. Try subbing out for sweet potato fries! Also, if they still have the Jack Daniels steak wrap, ORDER IT. :)

We come here whenever we want good delicious comfort food. In my opinion, the price is extremely reasonable for the quality and service. The staff is always super friendly and attentive and we have never had a bad meal here. We just came to have a nice birthday dinner for our son with autism and we were sat in one of the confessional booths. Our kid loves eating here and we generally try to come when it isn't busy so there isn't as much sensory stimulation and we have never thought to ask ahead to be sat at one of these booths. It made a huge difference when it got busy. I believe our servers name was James and he was awesome. We just wanted to say thank you to the Old Triangle Charlottetown team for being awesome.

We are pretty well regulars here because we loved the tradional Irish atmosphere, the staff, and the food. Go on Thursday evenings or Saturday afternoons for the celtic instrumental jam sessions where about 20 musicians play various instruments from fiddles, madolins, banjos, tin whistles, guitars, bodhrans, and the like. The staff are all fantastic and fun, the speed of service and food are very good. Make sure you try their soups! I don't remember a bad meal here and there's lots to pick from. It's a great spot and as a bonus, they have live music at nighttime!

I absolutely love this place. They make THE best fully loaded sweet partita fries at my request. With chicken and bacon and cheddar cheese. Their curry aioli sauce is better than the chipotle versions at other places. The Old Triangle beats Boston Pizza, Montana's, The Old Dublin, Hunter's, and more. Plus they have a Wikked cocktail list. I have gotten many hooked on it! I go as often as I can.

We were in Charlottetown on a Sunday when many of the restaurants are closed, and the menu of this place looked enticing, with lots of pub food and Irish specialties. When we came for dinner at about 5pm there were fiddlers and other musicians sitting around a large table playing wonderful Celtic music. Our server told us this was a jam session that happens every Sunday 3-5. Lots of beers on tap and in the bottle. I had an Irish Stew that was just fantastic flavor served over a mashed potato dish and my wife has a chicken breast over rice that she declared delicious. Price for our two meals with a drink each, tax and tip was $68. Thoroughly enjoyable, and the musicians were an added bonus.

We had previously visited the Old Triangle in Moncton and Halifax. Those ones were fantastic, but sadly this one did not live up to the standard. The service and atmosphere was still good so I'm giving 3 stars, but the food was not good at all. Come for drinks, but I suggest you eat elsewhere.

Consistent good quality food, enjoying their Box t sandwiches. Up to this past spring (2019) the food was consistent. Then there was a menu change and what was expected no longer available. Ok their choice. Most recently went for Saturday breakfast three of four were good. Omelettes were very good whereas stake and eggs were poorly done. Asked for medium stake got over done with some charring. The chef should not have served. I should have sent back, I guess my fault. There are to many good restaurants in Charlottetown, so will not reform for awhile.

I ordered the Banger and mash, as well as the muscles and had an Alpine lager. The food was excellent and the company charming.

The food is good, nothing earth shattering, but very tasty, and I love the atmosphere. Also the booths there are very private, which is nice as sometimes the music and people get a little loud. Some of the tables there really should not be tables though. Sat at a table by the doors in the corner and had people leaning against the table and unused chair while they waited to be seated.

The burgers are decent, and the fries are really great. My wife's steak originally came out completely overdone, but the waitress handled it excellently and offered to have a new one cooked medium rare (even though we hadn't asked for a new one). The new steak came out perfectly done and rivalled the $40 steaks we had at fancier resturaunts in Halifax.

When The Old Triangle first opened, they were one of the best spots in Charlottetown to grab a beer a bite with some friends. Lately, not so much. Their washrooms are disgusting and the quality of their food has gone down. In fact, their menu will say one thing, but your plate will have something else. Black olives, green olives...they're all the same, right?

Went on a Thursday night when a Schooner session was planned. It was like eating a meal directly beside an east coast Symphony that would normally cost $100 a ticket. Best live entertainment I've ever encountered in a restaurant by far. Might as well have been a concert. Food was great too!

Came here to celebrate my anniversary and really enjoyed the experience here. Killiney Stew with Old Stout Bread is the bomb. Steak and Steak was supposed to be sirloin but they served hanger instead? Nonetheless, they cooked it very well and I love their brussel sprouts here. Saw bread pudding in the reviews but didn't see that in the menu. Tried the toffee pudding instead and really liked it! Service was friendly and good. Server gave great recommendations though the bar is pretty busy so the server couldn't get to us sometimes. The live music starts at 8pm and they have really talented musicians. Will definitely come back again!

I went here for a staff party dinner. Having celiac disease, I am always wary of eating out. I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of menu items that could be prepared gluten-free. The server was also very willing to discuss food preparation with me, which put me at ease. I ended up getting the pan-fried haddock with side salad, and it was perfect. Looking forward to going here again for a date night. Thanks for being so accommodating!

The Old Triangle certainly has its charms, even though it's starting to look a little frayed around the edges and could probably use a little upkeep. Other than that, the Irish/Canadian food they serve is excellent and the portions are large. They have some nice booths to sit in on the far end of the restaurant and in the summer, the outdoors seating is often busy and festive. Plenty of live music of varying quality gets played here. If you're there to drink, the live music is very enjoyable, but on occasion when I've been there to eat the music has been overwhelmingly loud making conversation impossible at almost any table in the restaurant. So it really depends on what they're there to do. As for the food I can recommend the pan fried haddock and the mussels. There are plenty of local beers on tap, and regular happy hours with great prices. The only problem is that finding parking can be a huge hassle, especially in the day time and during the summer months.
