They had a singer in for part of the evening but honestly, though she was talented and had a nice voice, nobody was into it. Very loud and hard to have a conversation, when the party atmosphere isn't there you really shouldn't keep trying.. The food was very bland. My friends fries were cold and their Nachos were extremely dull. The extra beef was dry and there was a lot of salt content on them. Maybe you'll have a better experience then me. I'd pass though. Maybe

I hope this pandemic ends soon, this place has the best poutine! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, slow food prep but its usually because they are so busy so it can't be helped much.

The service was really friendly and quick. The side salad (photo) was so good and also a big size serving which was awesome! Recommend the sweet potatoe fries. The fat Darryl (photo) was interesting but good! I wish they had a half pound of wings option because I would get that as a side. They also tend to run out of menu items frequently. Good vibes, recommend :)

The service was great, however I would not recommend the fish tacos to anyone. The wrap was old, and tasted funny. The fish was ground up, and had a strong fish taste. I ate 1/4 of one of the two tacos. Yuck!

Great service. Great food. Really good burgers. Great place to go for food and drinks with friends or family. Sports usually on the big screens. Live music thursday to sunday. Usually smaller acoustic or duo acts. Patio in the summer. Good times! Free shuttle service available also! Pick up and drive home!

Amazing food, drinks, service, and atmosphere! During these times you may have to call in advance to be sure there are seat(s) available as they are limited in how many people are allowed in at once. Otherwise you may end up waiting in line for a long time! (the wait was so worth it though!)

The food is actually good. Their sampler platter makes an excellent reasonable meal for two. The server was also very prompt and discreet which I found unusual but very nice for a bar and grill.

Everybody loves the Thistle! The owner is amazing! The staff is next to none in New Glasgow. Everything on the menu is affordable yet so tasty. If you live deep fried pickles and towers of ice cold beer coupled with awesome local live music then this is the bar for you!

Had an awesome lunch at The Thistle! The food is delicious and the service excellent! Best fish and chips ( perfectly cooked and served with homefries which are also perfectly cooked !) I would highly reccommend dropping in anytime you are in the area.

Service really wasn't great as we waited well over an hour for food. Appetizers were delicious but the burger I had for my main course was very dry and really needed sauce of some sort.

We had a great meal at The Thistle The fish and chips are the best I've had. Large pieces of fresh haddock deep fried in a light batter. The chips are home fries. Don't forget to try a deep fried Mars bar :). Excellent service! I would highly recommend

Sat down for 25 mins before even came for drinks and the lady who was our server just said "what do you want?" hastily and said people are getting on her nerves. People around us all menus only looked like around a 2 hour wait by the time we finished for fried food no thanks. Got up and left our server walked right by the 4 of us like we didn't even exist as we departed.
