Been here a several times in the past year and although the live music and atmosphere can be great the food and service are poor. This place could be much better if they had floor staff that were attentive ( bartender was good) and courteous. Every time I’ve sat at a table with a group our server has neglected to take drink orders after seating and doesn’t return with menus for 15 minutes. The bar is place to sit if you want prompt service.

The food was good but waiting 30 minutes just for a salad is a bit ridiculous. Service was friendly when necessary but slow and seemed to be having a bad day for attitude. Overall not a good experience.

Really love this restaurant! The food is delicious and the staff is great. Always extremely accommodating if we have a problem. Just had 20+ people there for a wedding rehearsal dinner and he waitresses were amazing, fast and friendly. Great experience overall!

Aside from awefull service and being unable to get a drink when the bar is busy you could always count on good food... till now. I usually get nachos and am hardly ever the least bit unsatisfied, then i receved a cremated half order with no toppings played off as a full order. Apparently theyre unexperienced kitchen staff has to much trouble making 2 layers of cheese so now you get one layer with a few handfulls of burnt chips underneath! Received a rediculious $1.40 discount off a $14 order of nachos. Will never eat there again

This place is a blast! We came on a trivia night; where we downloaded an app to play along with the other teams. We made a team name and victory song and started competing. We were late but the rest of the teams waited for us and I'm glad they did! We had so much fun competing and even came in third; it wasn't easy! some of the questions are very difficult. The restaurant feels very new and very clean. We mostly drank but had some yummy potato wedges and they were great. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. We ended the night by winning a 10$ giftcard and we cant wait to come back! I guess the next night was music bingo and we were sad we missed it. Check out this must see bar in the lovely town of Pictou! Also after you have some fun here checkout the highlander for more fun.

Staff was friendly and food was good. We sat on the back patio with a view of the water. Food came quickly, before our drinks arrived. No ketchup but would t have mattered if the side gravy would have come. Not our first visit and we will come back.

3 people in the place at 7 pm. We still waited 25 mins for wings and a small salad, which was really pizza toppings mixed with lettuce. I almost asked for a spoon. The wings were great though! 2 waitresses on and we had to go to the bar for 2nd drink. A year since we've been here aaaaaaand nothing has changed. I'm shocked they're still open.

I wish I could have stayed longer, but we were on foot (owner offered us a drive) and just wanted to get something to eat. Doors were just opening, we were in no rush, but my phone was dying. Owner loaned me a charger. We mixed up some Nachos and Chicken Wings, which were more than filling, fast and tasty. Good wings, I chose a medium hot, and Nachos ( I sampled before commenting) just like they should be, plenty of toppings and side salsa/cream. Service was excellent, and friendly staff. My phone still wasn't topped up, so, no photos, but here's what I saw; Clean family restaurant-bar, weekend entertainment, known bands. Impressively clean for a nightly bar. Uses a shuttle service at night. Well done! Pleasant experience, you should try to stop in at least once, if you are just visiting the area. I would definitely go back again.

My husband and I took our sons here a few weeks ago. We ordered a chicken Caesar wrap, and two orders of fish and chips. The fish and chips were delicious. The fish was great, fresh tasting, and overall enjoyable! The fries, although a very skimpy portion, were also good. The wrap was up to par. The food was overall wonderful. My only complaints were the lack of climatised air. It was at least 30 degrees in the dining room, which made it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. Also, the table we sat at, felt like it was falling apart. The waitresses would look a lot more put together if THEY were wearing matching shirts. They are the face of your establishment, after all.

First time in this bar. The inside is nicely decorated, staff was friendly. Had chicken wings and nachos. Both were delicious. Windows were painted for valentines. The gentleman doing their signs is amazing. All free hand. He is talented. We will return.

Wifey and I were kindly welcomed in by Fat Tony himself! She had the fish and chip and I had the Mob Burger. Service was excellent and food was fantastic! We will definitely be back! :)

Have to say the food is great, BUT service sucks. Being from out of town and having group of 25 poeple for a birthday party, the service was so poor. I have never been so disappointed with a restaurant in my life. Some of the guest waited over one and a half hours for there food after most guest were done there meal. The waitress was serving food to people at other tables that came in an hour after we ordered well guest with our table continued to waited. I never seen the waitess come back to the table and check if everything was ok or if we would even like another drink thoughtout the time we were there. When asked about the guest meals that never got served, all the waitress could say was it was on the tablet and it was a human error and it still took another 45 minutes before there meal was brought to them.

We ate dinner here June 24, it was our choice of seating on 2 other tables taken. It took 6 minutes before being greeted, we we're given menus and not tended to for 10 minutes. Finally our order/drinks was taken . we did not receive our drinks for 5 minutes, food came out in 25. Nachos were microwaved what wasnt soggy was stale. The platter was okay, deep fried pepperoni and onion rings were the only things half good. Left here hungry . . and not happy with a 45.00 bill. Overall people were not nice ,But it was ran very poorly.

The food is decent with average portions. Best thing I can say about the coffee is that it isn't mud. I had to order from the bar because all the servers are chatting; slow service is an understatement. Server forgot that she graduated from high school. I felt in an episode of Mean Girls. Not a place to go if it's before 9pm and you're sober. I hear it's rocking then.

Foods alright. Have live music starting after supper time and it is great and the highlight of the place. Have different bands playing from the Maritimes - typical east coast music and goes on till 1 in the morning (late night), thanks to Tony and the organizers, keep it rocking Fat Tony's!

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendliest servers and owners. Place was inviting and very clean, great prices as well. Food and drinks were fantastic! I had the beef dip and my girlfriend had the capone burger. Bar tender even came over to ask how our drinks were.

Decent food. A very small menu but a good selection of beer, local and all the regulars. Cool atmosphere with call board deals, a garage door and old style luminescent lights. Would be a cool place to go in the summer with a deck and live music. Quite a large area, seems much smaller from the outside but very roomy. With sports on the Bar TV good place to go out with a couple of the guys. Would recommend to at least go and see if it's a place you would like

Our group of 16 arrived in Pictou around 8pm and was looking for a place to eat. This was the only place open. When we went there due to time and number of people they said they can do anything that's deep fried. We had to go with the fish and chips and chicken wings. The food was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful. The men in our group went to the bar and got samples of brews they carried before they decided on a pitcher. Nice place overall.

We had a very good meal, my niece said the quesadilla was the best meal she ever had. Tony was there and had a nice chat with us about Pictou and the upcoming lobster fest. If you're in Pictou it is the place to go.
