We went for lunch and by the time we got our food it was practically dinner. We would not have minded so much if the drinks were served in a more timely fashion or if the food was amazing. When we finally got our food it wasn't worth the wait. It's too bad, because we love to go there by boat but I can't imagine going back for that food.

We waited over 90 minutes for our food (French fries, hamburgers and chicken wings) on Monday, July 3 and had to send the kids to the gas station to buy snacks because they were starving. Absolutely no communication from management - he hid inside while everyone on the patio was getting frustrated. I watched the table beside us leave before the food came and I watched another table wait 20-30 minutes for a drink refill.... they promptly left as well. They offered a gift certificate to make up for the poor service - but I'll be heading to the Galley in Portland for the rest of the summer. Extremely short and simple menu with limited selection - probably because the kitchen cannot handle anything complex if there are more than a handful of customers.

Good food, friendly staff. Because of the times we are living in, Covid report. Masks are mandatory, must give names for purposes of contract tracing. You place your order at the bar, they take you name call it out. They have a basket where you food goes you then walk over pickbit up, in a couple of bags they have utensils for you to use with napkins. Over all impressed with everything.

We stopped here for lunch while paddling the Rideau system - the staff were amazing and the food was really tasty. It was nice to have a vegetarian option that wasn’t run of the mill. And the location and atmosphere were lovely.

So, the family decided to go out for supper to celebrate my daughter's Bday. We were going through Rideau Ferry and decided to go to CC on the Rideau. It was very nice inside and a great view of the water. We were seated right away and served our drinks. Here is where the night went downhill! We ordered our food and waited, and waited, AND waited! We timed it....it was literally over 50 minutes and still no food. The server told us that she has been watching the kitchen and our food was next. Still, we waited! My husband finally spoke up. She kindly explained that their kitchen isn't large enough to accommodate the number of people and because of this, they can only prepare so much food at one time. We actually saw people arrive after us and receive their food before us. We finally decided to get up and leave! The server was apologetic but at no time did the manager come up to us and offer us some sort of compensation for our wait. My husband even paid for our drinks! You would think that for the inconvenience, at least that would be on the house. By the time we left it was over an hour of waiting! After we left, they placed a sign at the entrance saying "Sorry, full". Really?!?!? Do I recommend this place???? Absolutely NOT! Headed to Kanata for some long awaited food. Not impressed at all.

If I could lower this rating I would ! For $25 + tax you get what I assume came from a pidgeon wing and 3 ribs that look like they came from a sweet and sour Chinese take away. No mention if you would care for fries instead of what looks like a potato salad that came from a dirty truck stop oh wait yup 2 containers of it, no coleslaw as was told I'd receive for again $25. I gotta say after all this nonsense going on in today's world, treating your customers like this is more then uncalled for and unacceptable ! Seems covid had claimed yet another victim and that victim is customer care and customer service !

Nice large docks for boaters. Good atmosphere and amazing wait staff and management. The poutine I got was a little cold when it came out, but the group of 6 I was with all had amazing plates. Will be back if in the area.

Nice location near the water! Mussels in white wine sauce were very tasty. Others in our foursome enjoyed burgers & salads. Broad selection of food offered on menu. Service was friendly, polite & attentive but not hovering. ????

Wonderful time at CC's today! Thank you to Erin, Keanna and staff for great food and a wonderful lunch. The fish and chips was excellent and my wife loved the grilled chicken with the peppercorn sauce. A side bonus was the red pepper and grilled asparagus. Had to go again, September 24th... great wings (real wings not sparrow wings) and the daily special was excellent! Unfortunately, the barbecue was at the Carp fair, otherwise the chicken and ribs is wonderful! Thank you Cassie!

This restaurant is right on the waterfront of the Big Rideau lake. Even with covid restrictions you can have great food on their porches while you watch the boats cruise by. The staff is wonderful. Make sure you get there early because this gem of a place is really popular.

Just had beer here. 2 beers: $16.30. Ouch. Two days later we had 2 more beers and 2 EXCELLENT burgers. 50 bucks. Meh. Server: Maggie - no complaints. Best part: Sweet Vidalia onions and not those horrid red onions. French fries seemed fresh cut. Burger Pattie was cooked medium/well. Just on the edge of just right.

Went there twice in the past month. Beautiful location. Not quite sure if they are understaffed or if their staff are just poorly trained. Took 15 minutes after we sat down to get a drink order. 20 Minutes after that for the drinks to come and take a food order. Close to an hour before they showed up and another 20 minutes after we were finished to take the plates away and get our bills. It looked like there were alot of staff on but alot of them were chatting with each other or eating. Food is pretty good but slow service both times made it an unpleasant experience.

Awesome atmosphere, practical and easy ordering process, great staff and food. The staff are transparent about the ordering process (no server, get your own food and drinks). This works, if I want a beer I will walk up to the bar, be polite and ask for one. Food was awesome!

The food is good but nothing fancy like it used to be. Excellent views of the water in Rideau Ferry. Tried to go there on a Saturday night at 930 in the summer! and they were no longer serving food. It was dead in there

Great Covid-19 Patio Atmosphere on the water with Open Tent and large BBQ (Chicken, Ribs, Corn, etc). Good pub fair served in takeout format to make it safe and sanitary. Live Music was a bonus!

If you are looking for tasty food, gorgeous views, and a fun time - look no further! I have found that the more north I travel, the less flavor I experience when it comes to eating out. However, CC's on the Rideau does not follow this trend! Every one in our party was beyond satisfied with this worthwhile dining experience!

Great pub food! I had the smoked robs and chicken and my wife had the fish&chips. This was my forst sitdown experience since March 2020, they have a huge screened in area to eat. I felt safe and very comfortable. I recommend this place to anyone passing through the area.

Had the daily special and it was a delicious departure from the traditional menu choices (salmon with mango salsa on rice) and the whole meal was fantasticly cooked, seasoned and sauteed. The difficulty with COVID is it turned ordering into a walk-up bar style, which is user friendly, but it lacks the CC's charm of servers coming by your table every so often to top up your drinks. Be happy though: CC's does what they always do: great food with great atmosphere in front of a great view.

Excellent covid19-era experience. Food is fine, nothing great, but the location, service and pandemic procedures made for a great experience. Plenty of outdoor space, ideal for families but also for couples. Would come back as long as weather allows.

What is better than good food at a fantastic location? Good pub food and drinks combined with a large outdoor BBQ for chicken, ribs and burgers. Due to Covid, you order and pay for your food first while you select your table. Outdoor options available including on the patio or step down to the open tented area on the lawn with picnic tables closer to the river. The food is ready once your name is called and then you can enjoy your meal while taking in the view of the passing boats. Tonight, live music was also provided after 6pm but check their website or Facebook page to find out when it's available. Riverside location is great, about 15 km from either Perth or Smith's Falls.

We visited CC's for dinner on a friday. The food was really good and much better than years previous. We had burgers, wings and the salmon. The food came out fairly quickly and was presented nicely. The jerk wings were the best part of the meal

The food was very good, staff nice, and the ambiance lovely; but you should be prepared for high prices, despite no table service, take-out dishes, and plastic cutlery. We paid over $110 for 3 of us, including only 1 alcoholic drink. Was quite surprised, given all other patios in the area have regular restaurant routines with service and real plates and dishes. Hope when restrictions are fully lifted that it can return to pre-COVID set-up. Would make for a perfect summer evening out!

Got ripped off here today with a smile. One of the most deceiving menus I have ever seen. 16$ quarter chicken meal. Served with corn on the cob and potato salad. 1 small chicken leg, HALF a cob of corn and literally 2 fork fulls of potato salad. Then 35$ for a pitcher of sangria . I WILL NEVER GIVE THIS PLACE ANOTHER DOLLAR.

Beautiful view! Nice place to have an early lunch or dinner and enjoy the waterfront . There is always lots of action. Usually they have live entertainment on Saturday night and Canada Day they usually have several entertaining bands. Also outside comfortable seating where you can watch the boats go by. Food is good prices reasonable

I was visiting a friend and she took me to CC's on the Rideau. This place is amazing. The service was great and so was the food. I love the outdoor seating with a great view of the water and gorgeous boats. The owner came by to see how we were doing and if we enjoyed the meal. My friend is so fortunate to live so close to this awesome restaurant They are regulars and I can see why. I will definitely be returning to try something yummy on their menu.

I find some of the prices a bit expensive but I alway love coming here for a drink or food on the patio after beaching or kayaking. We've been coming here since I was a kid and our server Justin was great. Try to catch the live music if you can.

Reservations for 12:30 lunch served close to 2 p.m. the place was told that there would be a possibility of 15 people we ended up being a group of 10 all of the group said way to long a wait for the food. We had another place to be.Would I recommend? No not for a large number

They have a large outdoor seating area and a tent with a bar. Its nice been gone the water next to the docks.They weren't very busy when we were their but the food was slow and the serving method wasn't great. My food was the special and I wouldn't get it again. Others in my party enjoyed their meal, and theirs looked better. Overall, I would go get drinks but keep my food expectations lower.

I went into the restaurant with an open mind. My wife saw a post on Facebook that there was a Friday Fish & Chip Special on, 2 plates for $19.99. I thought, you can tell a restaurant by their fish and chips. We asked for Pepsi to drink while we looked over the menu. When our drinks arrived, my wife asked for a new glass, as the glass she was given has lipstick on it (strike 1). We ordered the special and an order of onion rings to start. We were the only people in the dining area. There were a few people at the bar on the way in. After we placed our order, 2 older women came in, and ended up ordering the soup that was on special. Being only soup, the womens order arrived before ours. I must say, as the waitress walked by us with the soup, it looked quite good. A few minutes after the soup was dropped off, one of the women flagged down the waitress and told her that their soup was cold (strike 2). When our Onion Rings arrived, the rings themselves were huge. Very, very good. Best onion rings I've ever had. I asked the waitress, she said they were homemade. You must definately try them. Our Fish & Chips arrived within a resonable time. The batter was crispy. I remember reading in the menu, the batter was supplied by a local brewer. The fries obviously homemade. My wife and I noticed a beer taste from the batter. All in all. I have to say, I would return, to try something else on the menu and give the restaurant another chance. The waitress was very polite and attentive. The food was nicely presented and good quality.

The young waiter was fabulous very nice young man he gets 5 stars.. food was really good. super long wait. View was beautiful. But the Caesars were absolutely awful at $9 a drink we had one drink each both had upset stomach's before we even left.no straw. no spicy bean. or even celery.

Went to CC's tonight with the family and was disappointed. The food was okay but definitely not worth the price. On the online menu it says the kids meals include drinks and yet we were charged for ours (almost $3/drink). When I questioned the waitress and showed her the menu on my phone she asked the owner who said that's not the summer menu on the website. Okay. Shouldn't you still honour it since you left it up there? They did not. So I paid the bill ($60 for 2 adults and 2 children) and left there vowing not to go back. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately more misses than hits. Just moved in the area and have gone there about 10 times. Hits... some very friendly staff and good food at times. Misses... more often than not the food takes very long to come to the table, busy or not, super-greasy fish and chips, dry over-cooked to the point of black encrusted burger (today at take-out), and inattentive and slow service with no apologies or check-backs. View is great, just too bad the rest not living up. Update: Sept 18, 2018 - Under it's new ownership in 2018, have been back many times and the service, food, and environment has seen a definite improvement.

Quite disappointed. I understand that covid has made changes and business is harder, but the service here was non existent. You have to order your drinks at the bar and bring them to your own table, and your food needs to be ordered at the bar as well. Then you are called to come pick up you food. I expect this service at Mc Donald's not when paying good money for a meal. On top of that the payment machine requests a tip. There needs to be service for tips to be paid. Sorry but I would not return here again. And I would not recommend this restaurant. Plus serving the food in plastic cups and paper bags. Unfortunately this is just a way to cheap out on the required staff and get the most for their money.

Had the chance to stop in here this week on the way passing by on a boat. Patio was fantastic, and the food was great. The view of the lake and the passing boats was worth the stop alone, and the food was great. The portions are quite large, we ended up with two much. I loved the fried cheese curds and the chicken schnitzel was excellent.

Picked up dinner for my birthday from here, definitely made a great choice. Our party each got something different and everything was amazing. Food was not ready at pick up time, but the quality and test of the service now then made up for it. Would highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion, or any meal you want to feel like a special occasion. Fantastic quality.

Was visiting parents and they recommended here. Nice patio, super friendly staff, and lots of views of the river. Food is good too. I had fish and chips, and dad and mom had Reuben sandwich and portobello stacker respectively. Great spot for outdoor dining and supporting your local (even for us out of towers!)

A great location by the water. We have been here countless times over the years. The beer on tap here is not as cold as I would like.Try the Perth breweries Last Duel on tap or No Boats on Sunday cider. The menu was updated this year. I tried the carnivores pizza on naan bread, others had the eggplant parmesan and the Houston salad. The pizza was average, the eggplant was a bit greasy and the Houston salad was considered good. I need to try a couple more items to see if the menu has improved this year. I am always looking for menus that are unique and meaty, and don't serve the same standard accompaniment fries....still looking.

Great food, service and live music. Had the jerk chicken club and it was really tasty. Real chicken breast. Fries were properly cooked and salted. All meals in party of 6 were good. Chicken tenders for the kids were good, properly crispy. Food service was not super fast but that was okay as it was real food and the waiter kept our drinks coming and brought out the apps to keep us busy. Good selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks. Very attractive setting. Hidden gem since Rideau Ferry is not where I would think of to get a good meal. Out for a drive or boating on the Rideau?...This is a sound choice.

Make sure you get a snack before going to this restaurant ???? we waited about 70 minutes for our meal (just two people) . Other than that the view was amazing and drinks arrived quickly but I was starvinnnnng by the time I finally got my food! Tasty tho, maybe try and improve the kitchen staff? :/

Amazing spot for a pint on the water and the food hit the spot perfectly - the bbq-grilled salmon special was still tender and moist on the inside and not at all overcooked. Also appreciated the vegetarian options such as a portobello cap sandwich. Proximity to lock stations on the Rideau make it a perfect spot for hungry/thirsty cyclists touring Lanark or Rideau Townships. Lots of tables means no need for a reservation and a pleasantly bustling vibe.

A gem! Has Indoor / Outdoor / Garden Like and Screened In eating areas, all of which overlook the Rideau. Great food and friendly, hospitable staff. Worth a trip or visit there and boat accessible as well.

They are trying their best during COVID. We made reservations and wound up sitting on a rickety picnic table on swampy ground covered in straw. Had wet feet by the end of meal. The food was disappointing. Their fries although plentiful were little ends and overcooked and cold. SO disappointing!

Normally a 5. Told 10-20 minutes for food, was 35. Confirmed meal came with baked potato and showed up with rice. Restaurant had only been open for 1:30 minutes. Was offered fries instead and they were luke warm. Triple fail today for one of our fave restaurants.

Just there for St. Patrick's day never again got there in line, wait in line owner never took our name or any one else only her friends. We got a drink thanks to the bar tender. Our tables came and went several times with no concerns to the owner who kept saying your table is almost ready 1 45mins later she said it's ready guess what someone just came in and sat there , owner said another one be ready soon one of the girls said let's go owner not concern. Neither am I who else takes reservations for St. Pat. So unorganized
