I try not to be biased in reviews because I would want to be as fair as possible, but the SOEC makes it tough by how amazing they are. I have family who work at a company with a box so I understand my view on the events centre might be different, but everyone who works there is always the friendliest and most helpful, and the food quality is good and the drinks as well. Sometimes the experience of going to the South Okanagan Events Centre is just as good as what you are going there for.

Watched Cirque du Soleil; Crystal here. The venue was great, staff very helpful. I recommend going in or calling for tickets over using the website - the staff can help you get better seats! Also, pick up your tickets ahead of time to use the side doors!

This was my second time at the SOEC for a concert. All the staff were helpfu, the barhrooks clean but small for an event arena, lots concession stands so not very long queues. The only thing that was unbelievably outrageous was the fact that a small 500ml bottle of watet cost 5 bucks and you're not even allowed your own water bottle from home. Straight up inhumane

Terrible venue for a concert. If that's the type of event you're interested in attending, do yourself a favor and skip it. They lack even the basic ability to keep a microphone working, and security chooses not to evict people who blatantly commit assault. The sound could not have possibly been worse.

Good venue. Security guards go a little overboard, ie: pulling out foil from peoples smoke packs and making you take your phone out of it's case, so it makes for extremely slow lineup. They serve Cannery beer, which is great.

Working a bit with the staff at the SOEC during setup & take down for events here has always been great for me. I assume (??) other departments have similar experiences, but my interactions with the crews at this facility had always been great. Gone to many concerts or other events here. We're very lucky to have an event centre like this in our small town of Penticton. Concert administration brings in lots of great events and artists. It'll cost you to park on the lot, but there's lot of parking in the neighbourhood - just be prepared to walk a bit. So there's options.

Extremely nice venue. The seats were comfortable and of a decent size so you're not sitting in the lap of the person next to you. There's a lot going on here with lots of choices for a treat during a game. The best thing that I found was the lighting. The LED lights are fantastic. They provide enough light at a proper light temperature. During the game intermissions they were dimmed several times which isn't possible with old timey lights.

AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! We had tickets to see Cirque du Soleil Crystal on Friday 4-20-2018 but due to a sick child couldn't make that show. We called them and they completely understood and helped get us tickets to another show a couple of days later (thankfully there was some availability). No cancellation fees or lost money on our original tickets, all we had to do is pay the additional cost toward the new tickets over and above the price of our original tickets. In the end, the show was great and worth every penny we spent. VERY SATISFIED!

The venue itself is really incredible. The fees and overall pricing on the other hand is ridiculous.. I was going to buy 4 x $15 tickets online, which with "fees" and taxes was going to cost $93. I drove to the box office and paid $60. At that same event they charged $10 to park in the effing parking lot. I was under the impression that part of your ticket cost goes to the cost of the venue, including the parking lot.

Great centre for tourists who love hockey, or enjoy a top notch concert to watch. American customers can usually watch their favourite band in Penticton for less ticket costs than in Seattle. Factoring in monetary exchange rates of course. Marijuana is now legal in all of Canada, but a strict no smoking tobacco, or other substances in the SOEC buildings is prohibited, and enforced. A smoke area outside is available for all events. Alcoholic beverages are also purchased inside the event centre, but must remain inside. Probably the largest source of entertainment in Penticton is SOEC.

Cash only parking is a pain. $15 for 2 beer is a ripoff. Not every concession serves everything, so don't wait in the wrong long line only to walk away empty handed. The stairwell down to the outside smoke area gets crammed full of impatient people lighting up. If the concert hadn't been free to me I would have left without spending a dime, but I was desperate enough to spend $40 on 4 beers and 1 hotdog.

I have been to many concerts at this venue and have always had a great time. Parking is generally $10 for concerts and is worth every penny to park close to the entrances. Security is tight, but thats pretty normal at any concert.

That's not how we operate. That would use up too much of our precious time while we count the money we made off your sorry ass. But if you want to buy another ticket to come back into the event that you already paid for and left, we would be more then happy to take your money.

Need a separate line up for coffee when only one concession open 150 school kids there this morning imposdible to get coffee unkess u waited for all the kids to be served. Why did they not think of somehow bringing in muffins for breakfast crowd. No wonder people bring in their own snack and coffee if possible

Nice facility. Charge admission even for minor tournaments. Gotta pay for my son to play then pay to watch him. Food & drink prices rival NHL arenas. $4.50 for Gatorade.

One of the best rinks I've been in. My wife and i have been to 5 Vees games and enjoyed everyone. Of course the Vees have won every game which probably helps. The staff at the centre is also very nice.
