Definitely an interesting bar, so much to look at while listening to live music, and drinking great bevies. The bathrooms were super cool. It was a tuesday night, and with covid and all, so there weren't many patrons. Will visit again next trip to Penticton!

It took me a while to warm up to Brexit but I think it's come a long way since the opening. Tasty burgers and chips. Great late night menu. The cocktail list is great, good selection of beers, and they're open late. Check out the $7 lunch menu and come back for late night bar games, trivia, etc. They pretty much have it all including (but not limited to) colorful tiny themed washrooms, pictures with the queen, and a good looking bartender with a curly mustache named Tayne. Win win, mate. See you there.

This is a must visit pub in the Okanagan. The beer is great but more importantly the atmosphere is utterly unique and one of a kind. If you don't have a sense of humor or a fun loving spirit don't come here. But for the rest of us normal people this is a must visit pub in BC, Canada, or anywhere else. 10 stars if I could rate it that high

Brexit is the perfect balance of Canada and British. From the drinks that the owner creates himself, and the names of all of them, to the logo itself. While not always being the fastest service in town it is a great environment to hang out with friends or meet new people. With all the events they host there is something for everyone at Brexit.

Brexit is a cool place to hang out. You can find most of the cool people there. At Brexit you can just chill and do whatever and totally relax. "Take it easy" is the Brexit motto, for example, that's how laid back it is there. Show up if you want to have a good time. Another good reason to show up is if you want to hang out with friends.

We LOVE Brexit. The perfect neighborhood pub. We commonly walk over and enjoy a few neat craft cocktails and some great conversation with the bartender or owner. Whoever is at the bar. Perfect place to grab a drink and some food alone at the bar or with a group. Trivia nights, industry nights and safe for women. This place really caters to locals - which is appreciated when you are a local!! Brexit has it's own flare and loyal clientele. Food is fantastic! Love their poutine! :)

This is a brilliant pub with excellent local (and European) draught beer, creative cocktails, super tasty food (especially the donair poutine!), and great service. Whether it’s watching an English football match or just enjoying a date night drink, I always enjoy myself:) They recently built a new outdoor patio and a big garage door for that open feeling. Can’t wait to try it when it’s not over 40 degrees outside;) I totally recommend this place…Cheers!

My husband and I are always looking for new restaurants, as we explore the Okanogan quite a bit on our days off. This pub will never see our business however and I will discourage anyone who askes from dining there. The Okanogan has an economy largely dependent on tourism, and for a pub owner to openly air his detest for all tourists is enough for me to never give him our business. You sir, are in the wrong industry.

This is a cool little pub. I went there to watch the Champions League Final for soccer and it was the only pub that aired it in all of Penticton. There were rumors flying around that they only let Penticton residents enter their pub, but that is absolutely NOT true. I live in Vancouver and they welcomed my friends and I with open arms!

I really want to like this place, but sadly I cannot. My group of friends have tried on several occasions to give this place a chance, but we will be discontinuing our visits here. We have gone to their "Nerd Trivia" on a whim, and discovered that the trivia there wasn't really...nerdy. Sports? Current Events? Not my definition of 'nerd'. That's passable. What is not, however, is how difficult it is to get service. We attempted multiple times to wave down our server, but had to get up and chase him down ourselves. I'd understand if it was busy, but there was only three tables, including us. The food was...passable. One time the kitchen was 'closed' because they sent the chef home earlier, but we were offered chips. Yay? All in all, there's nothing overtly 'bad' about Brexit, but with all the little negative things I've experienced, I'd rather go elsewhere.

I appreciate the concern the owner has over Covid-19 however speaking for myself and likely for many visitors, your decision to refuse service to non regular customers is unreasonable. I sincerely hope your pub can continue without tourist dollars. When I was there last year, you weren't too busy. I will keep my mask on and money in my wallet.

It's a nice place to eat, but the food was nothing outstanding. It tasted like I could make something better tasting at home, but for the price I cannot complain too much. Waiter was a nice guy, and they do have a emulator going for Nintendo 64 games. Would I suggest someone go, Yes. Just temper your expectations.

Brexit Pub is like a bit of England in Penticton. I've been about 12 times in the past few months & took my 21 year old son the last time. His comment was - "why do The Brits just do pubs so much better than us Canadians do?" Well - they invented them! Marten has clearly got a great background in frequenting many British Pubs back home & brings his expertise to us. The mini desert platter is to die for! Especially the deep fried Mars Bar! Wow! All their food is great Pub food - simple & well prepared. This is a GREAT pub! Highly Recommended!

We were a party of 9, ages 50-75, and looking forward to trying this new Pub especially with the average ratings of 4.9. I don't know if we just got them on a terrible night, but it was the worst dining experience of my life. First, our only interaction with the owner, who is so highly lauded in the reviews, was trying to get him to understand our group was not suitable to seat at the high tables as 5 of us had mobility issues. We were served our drinks quickly but had to wait longer than we should have to have our orders taken, as we were the only people in the place, other than 2 people at the bar conversing with the owner. The worst thing to happen was 7 of us got our meals at the same time, but 2 did not get their meal until after everyone else was done eating. They had ordered the fish and chips that 4 others had ordered. We were told the deep fryer had to be reheated and that's why the 2 orders were so long in coming. If this pub does not have a deep fryer than can cook 6 orders of fish and chips without having to wait half an hour then they really need to order a different deep fryer. Their menu is very limited and was even more so when we were told they were out of sausages, which is featured in 3 of their main meals. That left us with a choice of curry, scotch eggs or fish and chips. The food was so-so. No one was overly impressed with the food. We had expected amazing fish and chips in a British Pub but we could (and did) name 3 other restaurants in town who do it better. Then we got our bills (there were 5 of them), and there was only 1 that was not screwed up. It was such a mess we didn't even try to straighten the billing out, we just paid and left and universally decided we were never going back and certainly not recommending this establishment to others. I hope we just caught them on a really bad night otherwise I do not see this business being around very long. It would have gone a long way if the owner had made an appearance and apologized, or at least comp the two meals that were so very late.

Love Brexit for the irreverent attitude, and surprising menu. The Yorkshire pudding pizza is delicious, and happens to be gluten free, and there are a number of vegan options too, which is unusual in local bar fare. There's always a fun cocktail or two to try (I recommend the barrel-aged Negroni). Giant Jenga and wireless Nintendo add a fun element to the vibe. Once we can all return to socializing publicly, I recommend that you get in there, bring your friends and enjoy the night.

By far the best pub in town. The decor is so well thought out you feel like you're in a pub in England. Finally Penticton has a pub I'm looking forward to visiting again. Nothing against other pubs in town, but this place is awesome. Wanna play super Nintendo Mario cart in a huge screen with 4 players? Yep. Or thousands of other games? You got it. Wanna use a washroom with a larger than life Mr. Bean staring you down? Check. I just had wings, which were great, but it looks like they have quite the variety of beers on tap. Looking forward to my next visit.

Martyn, the owner, is a true gent, he gave us some advise for traveling back just before the mudslides which was so much appreciated, all this after entertaining us over many hours and pouring us several cold ones. His team also deserve a shout out for their amazing friendly service! Tourists are certainly welcome and made to feel at home and Brexit really made our Penticton trip and a friend’s birthday. We went there for lunch with our ball team who go out twice a week after the games and we like to try different places. We heard about Brexit and thought we would try it. What a mistake! Unless you like fish and chips or bangers and mash, which were about the only things on the menu, and at $12 for a fish and chips meal which isnt bad until it got there. It was a one piece dinner with a tiny piece of fish which was mainly batter, and so few chips that you could count them..around 6 per plate. When I think about some of the other pubs in town, e.g. The Barley Mill, Copper Mug etc where for the same price or less you get 2 huge pieces of fish not mainly batter and a pile of fries you can't even eat it all. Needless to say, we were all very disappointed and we all left still hungry. Would not recommend this Pub for anything other than a drink.

Been here once so loud I couldn't hear friends talk at all. I could barely pay for my ok 1 drink. They over served alcohol to the lady's beside me so there glasses flew off the table from being so drunk the lady's prob had to be carried out. This ruined my experience here. Won't be back. We were intrigued by this place because if its name and decided to check it out. Without a doubt the most original bar we’ve seen in Canada so far. Bartender (bar service - European style!) was very friendly. Besides the fun stuff on the walls (check out the washrooms!), this bar is dedicated to creating a safe space for everyone - AWESOME

I've tried to visit this pub a couple times over the last few months, but each time I get turned away at the door by the owner because it's a "private event". At first I took his word for it, but it seemed odd that he had so many private events. The last time this happened though, a pair of extremely drunk girls stumbled by just after I walked away, and the owner started aggressively shouting at them to come inside because "the party's bumpin!" So it's a private event every night, unless you're a chick who's too drunk to walk straight. I will 100% steer clear of this place in the future, and would highly recommend everyone else to do the same. The creep who runs this place is not the kind of person you want to entrust with your personal safety.

Fun place for drinks and munchies. Love the themed bathrooms - I have to choose a different one each time. Food is amazing and offers so many different options. Come for the ambiance, stay for the amazing staff!

I am local and will not support this business. for an establishment that is a MEETING POINT for wine tours, you sure know how to disrespect the tourism industry. Not very Canadian of you update: ...love the desperation move to gain business. must be a British thing. :)
