Good place overall. The keyboard is not in English. You need to search for pop songs in a book which is kind of inconvenient and time consuming.

We had a good time, but that was despite the venue really. The owner forgot he had a reservation for us and didn't show up until half an hour later (which is half an hour later than the place was supposed to open in the first place). Then he was grumpy the rest of the night when anyone went out to get drinks or whatever. The spot was really dingy too with holes in the walls and packing tape holding up the wallpaper. It's also totally inaccessible with a steep staircase that makes it hard or impossible for anyone with mobility issues. We'll definitely opt for a different spot in the future.

Guys, This is the place to go! I was dragged out of my dungeon by a friend, only to be brought here. This place has great drinks, and private Karaoke rooms. My inhibitions flew out the window when I realized I would only be performing in front of my friends, who were aware of my sub standard talent. The rooms are big enough for groups of 10, there are a ton of songs (although I would have liked to see even more). The drink prices are great, and the management is amazing. I rated 4 stars because I think they need to add a few more songs, and I think they need to improve their sign (it is upstairs, but a little tricky to find the first time). There was even parking. Great fun, easy night out. (Ps: there is no food, but they let you order food right to the room.. guys, why arent we Karaoking now?)

The karaoke music selection is mostly Korean, and even the popular English songs have weird unrelated Korean video in the background. The women's washroom is kinda sketchy too with an out of commission shower in it. Still can't believe I paid $8 for a beer here. I would have expected $6 given the type of place. You can drink cheaper beer on Elgin st at much nicer places. The private karaoke rooms are the one redeeming factor.

If you love karaoke this place is for you. If you like a really nicely cared for environment, then not so much. The staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms were not well maintained (tears in the upholstery, bits of wood broken off the wall moulding) but basically clean. The bar is the centerpiece of the place (see prominent website photos). There seems to be a large variety of mixed drinks but only a basic assortment of wines and beers. A bottle of beer is $7 and a draft is $8. Soft drinks $2/can. The music content is K-Pop and Western. The videos behind the music are mostly Asian, with scenes totally unrelated or even contradictory to the song lyrics e.g. scenes of Swiss landscape during some rock song or Asian gang murder scenes during a love song.The controller is all in Korean so pay close attention when they instruct you on how to use it!

Place seems to be falling apart, boards falling off walls inside rooms, went in with credit card, place doesn't run tabs off cc, I had to make multiple transactions off my cc to buy drinks, needless to say, I would have spent more money if I could have ran a tab, and pay when I was done. On the bright side, great selection of music.

If you are Chinese, Dont Go. When we arrive, they gave me a book. Yes, it is a real, page by page, thicker than your head, BOOK. after you read the book, you enter the number into the machine, I felt like I went back to 1980s. Very old style and no Chinese at all. In summary, Dont go, it's expensive place too. The price is completely and definitely not worth.

I Loved this karaoke bar. The bartender was STELLAR a young man who was super friendly and not to shabby making a rum and coke. They had a huge selection of songs and I loved the backing videos they used for the songs, super cute. They had coverings to keep the mics clean and the room was large with lots of seating. When you first arrive the remote is not in English but he does a really good job explaining how to use it (we had no problem). The reason for 4 stars was the place could have been kept up a bit better. The walls and couches were a bit beat up and when we got there I immediately put my hand on a wod of gum that was under the table (there was a lot of gum under the table). Also if you are afraid to have other people hear, that's going to happen here, they don't have very much sound proofing (but at least you can shut your door and forget others are there). All in all I would return again and suggest it to anyone in the area, the awesome service and ample song list far out weighed the decor and cleanliness issues.

Private room Karaoke. It's fine, just fine. The equipment is pretty good, but the song menu is a little dated. It has a ton of songs in Chinese, Japanese and Korean as well as English. Alcohol is a little expensive, as one might expect. To get the best experience, get the guy behind the counter to show you how to use the remote, which is in Korean.

Starting off, really really cheap. But you get what you pay for in this case, confusing menu with pirated songs where most songs have typos in their lyrics and also don't have matching music videos, they staff are somewhat friendly and are willing to help you when you run into technical difficulties. Overall would not recommend coming here.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Karakoke bar. A group of friends and I were all looking for a place with karaoke and weren’t having any luck since it was the middle of the week. After some searching online I discovered VIP Karaoke bar and decided to try it with all my friends. We were all blown away by this place! There private rooms with comfy couches, great sound systems, multiple mics and a huge catalogue of music. The prices are very reasonable too! If you’re looking for karaoke in Ottawa, this is the place to go!!

VIP means you get a private room for your group, which is nice. However the groups that came before you smashed holes in the walls. Look around for the tambourine, which will enhance your experience at least 3 fold.

Hosted a birthday party here on December 5th. They tried to put us in a smaller room for 15 people even though I booked it a month prior for 25 people. We compromised and they put us in a "bigger" room as long as we moved to the smaller room by 10pm (since there were two bigger groups of 30 arriving at around that time). By 9pm, we had 18 people present and there was no room left for anyone to sit. They let us stay in the room past 10pm but quickly kicked us out at 11:30pm even though when I booked it, I had it scheduled for 12 midnight. The song selection was alright, however it was difficult to properly search for specific songs since the songs are spread between several different books / sheets of paper. I don't really know why they have a "menu" in their website because they do not offer food. Well, unless you count the bags of chips they have sitting there. The only good thing about this place was that one of the bartenders was friendly. Overall, I would advise against going here with bigger groups (20+) since they really don't have the space for it.

For a small karaoke joint, it's perfect for a small group 10 or so. The song selection was weak in English ( my favorite jlo, whitney and bae songs were missing :/ ) You need to know the titles of the song vs the artist. Controller not in English so pay attention to the instructions. The place needs some updating with furniture. Regardless, fun option with a group of friends!

Not the cleanest place, but we had an amazing time celebrating my boyfriends birthday. We were in a 15 person sized room, it did feel a bit cramped for the 15 of us, but we managed alright. Cost was $170 for the 15 person room for 5 hours. We were able to decorate and bring in a cake (with our own utensils and plates) we had to purchase our alcohol, but prices were reasonable. Would reccomend.

Great fun - Korean style karaoke - you get your own room which can fit, oh let's say about 10 of your friends if you get cozy and creative. Two microphones and a huge selection of songs, and you'll have a pretty good time watching all of the non-licensed videos and singing your head off. There is a bar at front and plenty of courage juice for sale as well. Always a fun time with a gaggle of girls.

Private rooms are great. The system is easy to use and has a lot of songs. The staff has been consistently rude to me and overcharged me. They did correct themselves after the fact but when I was pointing out that the charge for the room was incorrect and were rude and implied they knew better math than me. Then also instead of communicating they were closing earlier than usual they flipped on the lights in the room and left. It was a christmas party function so it was off putting. Overall it was a half and half experience. I will go again. Probably not my first choice to host a work function.

This place is a scam they never show any prices for anything and it seemed like they would charge you for anything. Apparently it's 30 $ an hr to use a tv and a microphone. but never told us so our bill was 130 $!!!! and I order a drink at 4 $ next time I went it was 7$ and then so on. Be warned don't go here they scam you.

Private rooms with absolutely no ventilation. With a large group of people the room temperature will become too hot and extremely uncomfortable. Drink are extremely pricy too, a single bottle of 1.75L Bacardi rum came out to $90. Surprised they had a decently large selection of English songs, though not very many from recent months (they add a few new songs each month it seems). The controls on the remote are a bit confusing as they're all in Korean, and the background videos are not the music videos for the song chosen (they're all clips from asian dramas or asian music videos).
