Don't try to order alcohol they just use it as an incentive and then send you everything you ordered except the alcohol. Boycott this restaurant what I did get was garbage I tasted stale and without flavor. And all their desserts are the smallest things I've ever seen. Not worth seven bucks.

Didn’t even order food. They had two people ask how many before someone sat us. If you have a patio, you should have to provide shade. We sat in the blazing sun in 31° weather. So we got up and left. They wouldn’t even move an umbrella.

For what it is... it was ok. Not much of a franchise girl, but they have somewhat decent dishes. Had the Brussel sprouts, good flavour and nice char. The bowls are apparently good as well. My FIL said that their chicken finger dish was half the size this time.

My partner and I went tonight for the first time. Our server was Jordan. He was attentive and patient (we weren't in a rush) and quick to seek out answers to our questions. We were very pleased with his easy going and friendly service. The food was great! Large crab cakes with quailty ingredients for our appetizer. My partner enjoyed the Tuna Poke Bowl and I had the Buttermilk Chicken Tenders, which were amazing. A generous portion of tenders with a very crispy, flavourful coating. Look out Popeyes! Drinks were reasonably priced - State and Main's Old Fashioned was delicious. Good wine selection for both red and white, but I chose the Tuesday $6.50 pint of selected ON draft. Atmosphere for a bar and kitchen was cozy, and even elegant in its own way, with polished wine glasses on the table when you arrive. The music was a good volume and all of the serving staff we interacted with were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

We took a guest for dinner on the weekend and we all enjoyed our meals. The menu has a good variety - I think I could have had 5 or 6 of the appetizers and the same with the mains. They would probably benefit from reducing the size and prices of the apps - having one almost doubled the price of a meal. Service was friendly and prompt, and the COVID precautions were quite good.

The wind blew the patio umbrella out of its holder at our table and it flew across the patio and almost hit us. We were not offered an apology, the waitress just asked us if we still wanted the umbrella. It was not secured in at all. We had to request to move on our own and when we went inside and found a table, after waiting quite a bit we had to request cutlery and then when the food came we had to go in search of someone to ask for condiments for the burger. The food was good, but the service was terrible and I’m not even picky. They didn’t have any manners.

We were driving by and decided to try something new. Went inside and ordered takeout (Covid times). They made our order in 15 min. It was so tasty, fresh and well seasoned. We enjoyed our food very much ! (Our order: the main burger with fresh greens and the chicken sandwich with tomato soup)

Just OK. The service was good but the menu was pretty generic and the beer list was disappointing. They do have a vegetarian option for the fish tacos using soy chicken which was nice as the remainder of the menu isn’t overly vegetarian friendly. If you’re looking for a Moxie’s or Milestone’s type place that is what you’ll find.

doesn't even deserve a single star. meal was cold, tasteless and simply small portioned, such a big carry away container for so little food.. they even forgot to send salad dressing. WHAT A JOKE!!!! HA!! shame! a pack of instant ramen noodles would have been better!! over priced and under dressed. what a joke for such a big named restaurant.

Worked there and won't ever eat here. Looks good on plate but!! The sanitization of the staff is terrible. No one washes Hands or sanitizes there station or keeps clean. Definitely cross contamination going on. Also garbage everywhere along the back wall have to walk around the whole kitchen to get outside. Don't eat here! Stop removing this post as it isn't fake. See for yourself.

On visiting Orillia, tried the place for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the good food and service. My wife enjoyed the "spicy Thai salad whereas I tried the "french dip". Tried the lemonade an it was perfect! Not too tart or sweet. Ate outside on the patio and the traffic wad not too noisey or heavy considering it was in an outside mall.

My husband and I decided to visit State and Main's Orillia location for our Friday night date night. We enjoyed a lovely night on their patio even with a little sprinkle of rain. I had the french dip and my husband had the open faced steak sandwich. Both were cooked to perfection and the fries are delicious. The dill dip offered with the fries is excellent. Our server was Marissa, she was friendly and provided a great experience to our evening. We cannot wait to return when the inside is open. The Interior is absolutely gorgeous. We would highly recommend this establishment.

My husband accidentally dropped his tartar sauce and as the waitress handed him some napkins said "I don't get paid enough to clean that up!" When we went to the mgr, asked the waitress to come over and she actually said to us "What's your problem now?" The mgr said she would deal with her and gave us a $10 gift voucher and a apology! The food was delicious, but for a bill of $67, not worth the abuse of a waitress and to only receive a $10 gift voucher, we will never go back!

Pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety of food on offer. The menu is large but not too large. I had the fish tacos, which were pretty good but not great-- the fish was not breaded, just seasoned. The fries with dill dip were great! My wife had the tomato bacon soup, which was great and came with plenty of "croutons" which turned out to be fairly large bread rounds with crispy melted cheese. The royal Bangkok bowl was good, our guest said it was a lot like pad thai. The service was perfect. Will definitely return.

Ordered two meals, the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and veggies, and the pistachio crusted fish with rice and veggies. The steak was ordered medium rare, but came more well done than anything and was incredibly burnt, the middle of the steak was very rubbery and had the same texture as really cheap bubblegum, the mashed potatoes weren't bad but were cold, and the asparagus came in the same side of the container as the steak and also tasted like it was recently on fire. The fish had no flavour and was also incredibly burnt and the rice was overdone. First and last time eating here. The prices do not match the quality of food you actually get. We both tried to eat our meals but couldn't enjoy it enough to get more than a few bites in. Was really excited to try this place for my birthday and was really let down.

Went for lunch for our first time. The steak wad really good and a very good price. We got their mocha choc brownie it is just like tge one at the keg but better. We would recommend it to anyone. PS this place makes Montanas a Burgar King. Try it you will see what we mean.

Love the food here. The dill sauce that comes with fries is so good!! Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Food isn't cheap, but worth every penny. A restaurant we all have something we love and that is rare in my family.

FYI: This is a TAKE OUT review....Terrible in my opinion. Caesar salad came from a bag and tasted like the bag. BBQ wings are hickory/chipotle flavour (which i dislike) Received approx 8 little cups of white stuff which nobody could figure out which was which. Not labelled and all tasted the same. Was looking forward to dill dip but couldn't figure out which one it was. Waste of $125 bucks. Fries seemed okay. Left the table hungry. NOT impressed.

Love this place! Great food, great service and prices are pretty reasonable for this type of restaurant. Have had Jamie as our server multiple times and she is great! Had the chicken fingers tonight and they were delicious. The dill dip with fries was sooo good too! I've also had the "garden salad" which is nothing like you'd expect. It had cranberries, walnuts and goat cheese... so good! Would highly recommend!

Food good.. server nice. We went for lunch and walked inside. No one was there so we walked to patio door since we saw the hostess there. She walked in and scolded us saying” get back to the front and wait to be seated”. Then she took off and someone else came out to seat us. Could she not have just given us a seat on patio instead of making us go back to the front? This girl was for some unknown reason, on a power trip. Why?? That just puts a damper on a nice patio lunch! I think you should find out who it was and ask your people to be appreciative of the business instead of scolding people. I guess Covid has given these people a feeling of power! Haha! Too bad cuz one employee could ruin your business! Wednesday June 16 at noon!

The food on the menu looked not bad, although everything seemed to be spicy. The main problem was with the service. The hostess wasn't very friendly. And when she went to sit us on the patio she initially went to seat us at one of the tables on the extended patio due to social distancing. It was right next to the parking lot and so I kindly asked if we could sit at this table (pointing to a table on the inner patio next to the building that was a high top with an umbrella). It hadn't been cleaned off since the last customers and upon seeing this she stared at me blankly before replying "well I'd have to clean it off". To which I replied incredulously "ok well yeah we can wait". She stormed off and cleaned the table. We sat at the table and our server came by and wasn't overly friendly nor had much personality, was just going through the motions. I also asked a handful of questions about the food and drink menu to which she knew none of the answers. The food was meh. Kind of bland. Kind of cold. Nothing special. My mom had ordered a salad instead of fries and when she received fries she brought it to the servers attention. The server replaced the fries with a salad but instead of apologizing or anything she simply said "well now you get free fries". Even if the food wasn't great the first time trying the place I would give it another chance to maybe try something else on the menu. But the service is what will be the reason I don't go back. Unfriendly, unknowledgable staff + blah food = no thanks.

We go quite often to this resty. It is a fabulous place. Service, food and atmosphere is excellent. Cant say enough about how much we enjoy eating here. We've had almost everything on the menu and never have been disappointed!! We would highly recommend this establishment!

After a less than pleasant experience the first time we went here, I have since tried it a couple times over the last few weeks and I have to change my review from 1 to 5 stars. The food is very good. While I have only eaten on the patio once, the service was good. The other times were take-out and I was still impressed.

We dined during the opening week before Covid shut the restaurant down. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. The manager stopped by multiple times to check in. When the patio opened up we went for drinks , for appys, and for dinner. We have never had a bad experience. Service is impeccable , food is delicious , and during Covid restrictions our health and safety was priority. Servers were wearing masks, they had various employees with assigned tasks to ensure our server did not contact dirty dishes. The Manager checked in to ensure everything was good. Our new “go to” !

Wonderful setting for great conversation and food. The staff under GM Cindy is friendly, courteous and very efficient. It appears to me someone spent a lot of time ensuring the right people were hired and trained. I've visited pre and post pandemic closure and I can say the experience on the patio was just as fulfilling as in the dining area. I'd enthusiastically encourage you to take friends and family for a visit and great meal!

My husband and I were dying to try and we were very disappointed! Both ordering the most expensive thing on the menu our steak come out so over cooked food was very bland NO seasoning. We talked to our server and she said she would let a manager know... no manage came to appoliges and we paid full price for both meals over 120$ total

Just had my wedding dinner at State & Main. The staff were fantastic, the food and service was amazing. There is not a bad dish there at all. HIGHLY recommend the pistachio encrusted salmon. The presentation of the food was beautiful. From the french fries I snuck from my Husband's plate, they were delicious. I found them very affordable for our event. To The wonderful ???? amazing folks at State and Main, thank you, you made my wedding ???? day.
