A few weeks ago, I noticed this restaurant being full of people in patio at around 9pm, a summer evening vibe. The restaurant opens till around 12:00. It is indeed a good place to be together with friends.

Unfortunately food served had been served with probably the whole salt shaker poured over the dish. This great restaurant likely has a server who may be biased towards non Canadians or having a bad day??. Quite shameful for my kids to experience this service in Oakville where my kids are born and we have resided here for over 30 years. They brought the whole dish home and it was absolutely not edible. The amount of salt poured was not a mistake, it was a deliberate act. If management wants it should not be hard to trace the person who was responsible as there will be more complaints if that person stays. I am not interested in identifying anyone for the act as was not physically witnessed by my kids. I run multiple businesses and understand that the action of one employee can screw things up. Please trace or trap the person responsible and keep giving Oakville a great service as we are accustomed to having.

Great place for dinner, wide selection and really good prices. Both the jambalaya and chicken ciabatta were great choices for a late lunch, alongside a beer! Edit: came back in Sept 2021, had the jerk ribs (appetizer) - these were really good flavoured, but somewhat drier than you'd expect. Likely as they're cut into strips and not a full rack. Also have the wings tossed in fourty creek BBQ sauce, which was truly amazing. Tastes like BBQ with a hint of smokey flavour.

Poor Service, Mediocre Food. They offer indoor dining now and everyone was comfortably seated at a distance inside the restaurant. I ordered a Stella which took quite sometime to be poured and when I recieved it I could tell it had been sitting for a while as it was flat, no foam on the top. Prior to receiving our food we heard a busy server tell her co-workers and our server that there was quite a lot of food at the window and asked for assistance. Meanwhile, we watched as our server continued to spend time talking to her co workers. When we finally received our dish the food was lukewarm, we left without finishing our meal.

What a great experience at the Oakville Pump. I was welcomed at the door by 2 very nice people. As I was seated I quickly was waited on by a lovely server named Heather. She informed, after I inquired, that the drink I was served was made by one of the 2 hard working bartenders (Jaqs, Destiny). As I was enjoying my experience, a server, Emily, asked if I everything I needed. This was a warm welcome as she was not serving me. This was a great experience and I recommend trying it out!!

Great Place and Location , Growing up in Oakville and also Clarkson I used to go to the Clarkson location so I am super pleased that theres now a location close to home and work for me ! I've tried the Big Mac pizza. Surprisingly awesome! The 50-50 bacon burger is out of this world! Heads up, it's a single burger but dinner for 2. The Nacho plate can easily feed 2 as well. Always enjoy bringing the left overs home though. The servers are wonderful, polite, and very professional ! Heading there shortly. Caesar Sunday !!

We have been customers of the Pump since the first day, when we were anticipating the opening. We have had nothing but amazing food and excellent service. The beer and wine selection is perfect for our needs, the burgers are outstanding and huge, and there is always something on the daily specials that catch our eye. The servers have always been friendly and attentive each and every time we have been there. These negative reviews are a joke and clearly someone has an agenda by writing them...they should take their business elsewhere...there is Hyderabad, Niwa and Swiss Chalet in the same plaza so they don't have to go too far.

Recently went back a second time for dinner and that may be the last until patio season. When they first opened it was so loud you couldn't enjoy yourself. I heard they remedied the problem but its still wide open and noisy. Never liked eating with a table of strangers 18 inches on either side of you and wish they quartered the restaurant off and spread the tables out a bit more. Feels like your eating in a big cafeteria. The foods quite good however and I enjoyed their burger. Service was good too. Had a peak at their dessert menu and its pretty lame. When they first opened they had a Key Lime pie which was honestly the best key lime I've had in a long time. Maybe they were just trying it out and will include it in their summer menu. If your looking for a quiet dinner to enjoy with family this ain't the place.

This place used to be another name which I never tried. It’s my first time to visit this place and ordered cob salad. Good portion, variety of vegetables and tasted fresh (i just find the chicken on the salty side) but all is good even our server Andrea was friendly and attentive.

MUST TRY!!!! Get your wings grilled with forty creek sauce. You will not find a flavour like this anywhere else and this place is the only place that does grilled. I’ve been to many wings places so TRUST me this is the best thing you could order. Make sure you get it GRILLED

We ordered the fajita bundle for 2 people. It was very tasty, however, the serving sizes are way off. We got steak for one person and a ton of cheese and lettuce. My husband had to cook a chicken breast separately for himself to have with the fajita fixings. Extremely disappointed.

Myself and a couple of buddies decided to try out Pump & Patio since none of us had been there before. Great place to eat, the food is well priced for the portions you get and a wide variety for a menu. Our server Ivana was really friendly and helpful with deciding what to order and regularly checked to make sure if we needed anything, unlike other places where your server is hard to find after the food comes. Would definitely recommend Pump & Patio to anyone

Fabulous menu with something for everyone. Serving size (including on the appetizers) is very generous, and so in my opinion, aligned with the pricing. The Oakville Pump & Patio is a great addition to the neighbourhood! Great atmosphere and live music on Thursdays and the food is delicious and comes in very large portions, making it worth the price. They also have a great beer and wine selection, with $10 off bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Definitely recommend! :)

My family & I visited the Pump & Patio 2 weeks ago, and had Destiny as our server. What a great atmosphere and AMAZING FOOD! Destiny was so great - bubbly, happy and quick with everything. We also got to meet the owner - he not only brought us our food but he stopped to chat. Now that’s a good owner. We will definitely be back! (Ps you NEED to try the sliders! They are far from typical sliders ????)

The initial words that come into my head are overpriced and mediocre. I ordered a burger and it was overly char broiled to the point of being bitter. It was also dry like they had them cooked and lined up before the lunch rush. At least the cheddar was real and the bun was very good and fresh. The side garden salad was acceptable but still seemed a lot like bagged lettuce I can get at Longos but the tomatoes, onions and carrots were fresh enough. The balsamic dressing was oil heavy and tasteless. It could have been any kind of oil. All in all, not great for the full price on the menu. Good thing the Classic Burger was on a Thursday special for 10 bucks because if I paid the full amount ($16 - Are you kidding me?) I would have been even more disappointed. The service was decent and it had a nice atmosphere compared to the old Niblick (although it had way more character). Can't tell you about the beer and patio, let's get out of winter first and I might walk across the street and try again. I might raise my score after I have had another experience or in the summer when I am feeling sunny, but the prices are still way too high for the quality you get compared to other Oakville eateries and my first impression, which is always key for restaurants, has been underwhelming.

Came here with my girlfriend recently, we're both super picky and have a difficult time finding a place to eat we both enjoy. It was our first time here, so we asked our server, Ivana what to get, and she really did not dissapoint us. We ended up getting the calamari to start, ribs for me and asian stir fry for the gf. I went to the Oakville pump and patio tonight for my first time. I was there with my boyfriend and a few of his friends, we were there for an hour and a half watching a basketball game when my boyfriend asked if he could have another beer. The waitress that was serving us (had dark brown hair that was tied back in a bun) just looked at him and basically brushed him off as if he wasn’t a paying customer. She walked away and was just chatting with her coworker and not doing anything in particular, when she came back near us he asked her why she wasn’t serving him, she told him that 3 beers were too many and she was keeping track of time. Regardless of whether she felt it was too many beers there is a way of talking to people, especially in customer service and the tone she took was not it. It’s really too bad as before this encounter we were talking about how excited we were about this place and coming back again. Though we now will not be back again and this establishment has lost a few customers from tonight.

Have been to Clarkson pump and do not remember their prices being so crazy or am I just living in the old times. Can go to Finn McCools in Oakville for half the price and food is good. Do not think I will be back out of my price range.

Tried the Oakville Pump for the first time on a recent Tuesday wing night. We enjoyed both our food and the fantastic service from Vanessa. We have been to the Clarkson Pump many times, but now that Oakville has their own Pump and their service is better and the food is great... we'll stay closer to home and make The Oakville Pump and Patio our go to pub for now on.

Service: We had the worst Experience ever... When we arrived almost half of the restaurant was empty. One waitress greeted us and told us to sit anywhere we liked. We chose a table sat down as we were doing so another waitress came over and was extremely rude and made us feel like second class citizens and made us move. We got the feeling that she is simply racist. Food: The fries were Ice cold & Rock hard; the Wings were also cold & stale. The FOOD was HORRIBLE! Our party of four was disappointed with the food. I will not recommend anybody to come to the Pump.

I would like to say that this Pub is great for pub food, their wings are fantastic, burgers are fantastic, everything is well priced. What I have to complain about was the quality of the fish they were serving. Both me and the person I was eating with got fish dishes (risky at a pub not known for fish and chips, I know). She got the Halibut (pan seared), I got the fish and chips (also Halibut but breaded and deep fried) and we split an order of grilled wings. The dishes come out and we start eating... First bite for her: "I literally cannot eat this, it's like chewing a piece of rubber." For the record, this fish was advertised as caught fresh, but this clearly showed signs of being frozen for who knows how long. I take a bite of my fish and chips, a bit chewy but that's okay maybe its the batter. It was not. I took a single bite of that Halibut and had to chew it like a piece of rare steak before I was able to get it down. In all fairness, our server was amazing and took it all in stride, never batting an eye at our complaints. In addition, the wings were amazing and the burger I got to replace my fish was also incredibly good. All in all this is a good spot, but beware that some dishes are not exactly as advertised.

We were there a couple of days ago with another couple and our kids. Everyone had a fantastic time and the kids were happy. The place is lively and there is a great selection on the menu. We will definitely be going back to try some other things! We eat out a fair bit and this is a welcome addition to the Oakville restaurant scene. This is my second time at Oakville Pump and Patio, and I really enjoyed the brunch here. The brunch is 9 - 2 pm on weekends and they have a complete breakfast and lunch menu going on. My kid's brought me here for my birthday, was a very nice environment, with great service, and good food.

A little disappointed in this place. We weren't provided the friendliest customer service, our waitress seemed to forget about us completely once we told her we weren't ordering alcoholic beverages, just a couple appetizers to share. The food was alright - nothing spectacular and it didn't arrive hot, but the pesto and bacon jam that arrived with the baked brie definitely saved the dish.

GOD the service and food here is garbage. I will never come back. The burgers... jesus... the burgers are first of all so expensive!! What ticks me off worse is the price... one thing to charge me a VERY unreasonable price but to cook me a flavorless dry burger is an absolute copout. We complained to our hostess and she said "sorry." and walked away. Why am I eating in an egyptian style cafeteria?? It's LOUD and you're jammed in table to table. If im paying a PREMIUM PRICE I should have my own table reasonably away form the next group of people. Very annoying to have to sit so close to another party. Again,, WILL NOT COME BACK

I was there the other day with my friend. Service was very slow!! Took forever to get a drink? Had to wave down a server cause ours disappeared? Not sure why cause there was nobody in the restaurant that night very slow..... Girls were too busy talking to each other or on their phones to see we needed something.? Food was passable but when it came time to pay we gave a 100.00 bill,waited for our change and the server didn't even come back with our change to give a tip?? She just automatically kept it??? We found this extremely rude and we just shrugged it off but when we left her and another girl at the bar ignored us and didn't even acknowledge us to say thanks or even a bye.? They were too busy on their phones? Never will go back there again and never experienced this type of service before. Usually the server asks if you need change when you pay this greedy server took it upon herself to keep a huge tip? Not impressed.

Recently went for dinner to catch up with some my friends and as a first time being there, we LOVED the food. The portion was good enough, delicious and to top it all off we had the cookie skillet in the end which tasted heavenly! FORMER REGULAR HERE: Loved the niblick before it turned into the pump. The Niblick burger was my go to! They make a good burger here and I highly suggest you give them a try! My problem is when im getting attitude from my hostess and being constantly abandoned for 30mins at a time. Drinks was not refilled without me having to flag someone else down. This is so annoying!! Didn't tip as a result and got the stare of death. She was probably having a bad day but she didn't need to take it out on me. You get what you deserve girl !!

I recently visited The Pump for the first time and was very impressed! The atmosphere is nice, welcoming and new, the food was great and I had the best service ever! Make sure you ask to sit in Destiny’s section. She was serving me at the bar that day and she was great. She helped me pick my order, as I’m horribly indecisive. She made sure I had everything I needed and she was so nice. This was the best service I’ve had at a restaurant... EVER. Will definitely go back there.

This is my go to bar in Oakville. The nachos are AMAZING and they have my favourite beers on draught (3 speed, Kronenbourg Blanc and Storyteller Lager). The service is always fast and my server was always there when I wanted another drink! Thanks Oakville Pump. Keep up the great work!

We've been to the Oakville Pump and Patio twice now since it opened, and it's always been a good experience. The servers, in particular, are so helpful. My husband is lactose-intolerant and the servers have always been careful to accommodate him, checking ingredients in certain dishes for him. This past time, we had Ali C., and she was very pleasant and friendly. The food is delicious. We've enjoyed the wings, the pizza and the burgers. We also appreciate that there are always really good weekly specials, which is helpful to a family's budget. The first time we visited, a gentleman who we believe was either the owner or a manager, came out to check on us, because he heard my husband had dietary issues. We appreciated that very much. It's a good place to bring a family and has a nice variety of foods. I'd recommend it.

Some front of house and serving staff at this restaurant would benefit from a course in accessibility and sensitivity. In our party was a person with a walker and obvious limited mobility. We were seated in the furthest, darkest and most cramped corner of the restaurant. We could’t read the menus as the lighting was so poor, and moved to the table next to us. There was nowhere to place the walker, so we moved a chair, and then received an unpleasant lecture from a server about the chair being in the way. Frankly we felt in the way, and unwelcome. Then our food was served to us far later than those seated after us, and the burger was burned. It can be an exciting event for people with limited mobility to get out to a restaurant, and poor experiences like this create anger and hurt. Please make an effort to assess your guests’ mobility and needs and seat them accordingly.

Maya was attentive, cheerful and offered great suggestions from the beginning to the end of our dining experience. Perfect balance of checking in while giving us space to enjoy our food. Thumbs up to the quality service. My burger was juicy and very filling. Definitely worth the price! For iced tea lovers you will not be disappointed. Finished the night off with the double chocolate brownie which is more than enough to share amongst 2 or 3 people. I highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for a fun night out while enjoying great food. This will not be my last visit to this quality establishment.

Walked in.......sat down.....place was 50% full........after 20 minutes asked waitresses at order station for service.....was told someone would be there soon.......2 more tables arrived and were attended........we waited 10 more minutes....no service.......we got up to leave......went to bar and told the plus sized rude waitress.....told her of our experience and she did not care but said "sorry for that and walked away to talk to some guy............so I rate this place a minus 10 start and will just go to Fionns......fast service on a full restaurant

Great staff, amazing food, and comfortable atmosphere despite the circumstances. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our visit. We ordered the fajitas and lobster wrap and both were perfect temperature and flavour. Our server was so friendly and we didn't have to ask for anything she always knew to bring what we needed out. We have been anxiously awaiting the opening of what we think would be our local watering hole. We have been to all the other Pumps, and are big fans. The service at this pump was terrible. We sat at the bar, and the bartender Brooke, and unattentful to say the least. It took a long time to order since she wa preoccupied talking to a guest that was also at the bar. She was also on her phone behind the bar which is very distasteful. We didn’t want the poor service to ruin our evening, so we ordered the chicken avocado salad, which was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the jambalaya, which was OK. And for dessert we ordered the cookie with ice cream, which was very run-of-the-mill, the ice cream is definitely not premium vanilla ice cream. Extremely disappointed for a Sunday evening trying to stay local.

Destiny has been the most amazing employee here. Great conversation and great service. Always a great meal, maybe a tad pricey but the quality is there. It doesn't feel like it's a 15 year old making my meals - there is thought into the presentation and size. Feature lists on Thursdays are a nice touch. I have never had an over cooked steak from the menu. Friendly staff - great wait staff that will remember your name and make it feel like a comfortable place. Very busy on Thursdays and Fridays but not enough to have the staff forget about you. Previous voiced concerns have been met with great attention. Thank you! Update

My husband and I, along with another couple went in for dinner. We received a friendly greeting, and were lucky to get a seat immediately as there were only two tables left available. We ordered two different kinds of Burgers, Chicken Stir Fry, and a Avocado Chicken Salad. Every meal was fantastic! Portions were great! The table next to us had the Nachos which looked so good that we have that on our list of things to try next. We weren’t there to watch a game, although there are TV’s everywhere (if you want to watch), they didn’t disturb us. We didn’t find it too loud to talk within our group. The prices were reasonable. In fact, my wine was almost half the price I paid at a Downtown Oakville Restaurant. Our server was wonderful and we were acknowledged by the Manager who said goodbye and thanked us for coming in. Overall a great experience and we highly recommend The Oakville Pump!

I had eagerly awaited the opening of the Oakville Pump, as the previous pub had been my local. (Full disclosure, the previous pub was well past its prime and needed to go!) I've been to the Pump twice now and won't be hurrying back. Possibly for a pint, but definitely not for food. The servers are friendly and pleasant. The atmosphere is generic and noisy. Some sound absorbing surfaces of some sort would help. Overall, it's not make-or-break but it's louder than you'd expect. The food and prices is where the Oakville Pump falls short. The food is passable without being offensive. It's best described as "restaurant chain food." Something along the lines of Kelsey's or Montana's. By itself, this isn't bad - but their prices are far too high for the food you get. I had tacos that were bland. The meat was no better than you can make at home using Old El Pado seasoning from the grocery store. The other dishes were much the same. Not bad, but not better than you'd get at any chain or food court. Our dinner for 4 people came to $150 (after tip), with no alcohol. Pretty steep when you consider one person only had soup.

Went on a Thursday nite for our favourite burger night special...last day of school for many so lots of families and a party of 50 for a birthday celebration but promised a table in 15 minutes or so ...we decided to stay. We were seated within 10 minutes and our order taken immediately. The restaurant was packed but staff were awesome...non stop activity to and from the kitchen..very organized and everything coming out of the kitchen looked great. The staff worked really hard. We were served within 15 minutes of ordering and food was so good...freshly cooked and hot. Kudos to the manager and staff..keep up the good work..we liked the Niblick but you’re definitely giving them a run for their money with a different vibe....good luck..we’ll be back :) the kitchen to accommodate everyone

First of all....... in these Covid times I have never felt so safe!!!!!! You can tell the owner and his staff are doing everything to keep everyone safe!! There is plexiglass everywhere and not a spec of dirt or dust anywhere. Now the food...... solid 5 stars for sure. We had the burger and the chicken brea sandwich and couldn’t leave any on the plate. It will be somewhere we crave on a regular basis. The service was absolutely top notch. Heather took great care of us and she really cared about our experience . Everyone should take notes on how this place is run and operated. You will see us again and again!!!

They have a huge covered patio with heaters so it’s comfortable to dine even when it’s 5-10 degrees. Food is good and has clear gluten free options. I had a white sangria that was an odd recipe, too many flavours in there. But overall good and would def go back.

EDIT: Third visit and 100% my last. I thought service and atmosphere would improve but it just as bad as it was the second time around. Absolutely shameful. Thoughts on the service: Brunette waitress with pony tail at the bar is just straight up rude and doesn't acknowledge you after 5min seated at the bar. Very bizarre when the entire restaurant is completely empty. I got this what do you want attitude the entire night on both my recent visits. Entrees on all three occasions were sloppy and bland. Worst of all its 25% more expensive and food is trash. I'll stick to TJs from now on. Oakville Pump is embarrassing the town.

I have tried a few times but unfortunately this last experience was the last. The lack of professionalism with the staff is just awful! My family came in for dinner and what a mistake. One of the staff had such a short dress on my son pointed and laughed that he saw her bum (hes 5 years old!) She was awful from start to finish. Seemed too busy to tend to our table, was very rude when she did come over to our table, she didn't let us know that there were any specials (we found out from the table beside us) We don't remember her name but she was short, and had very long curly hair (that should be put up so we don't have to have her hair in our food!) We've tried but we cannot in good judgement come back to this restaurant with our kids or even just us. Big fail!

Sub par service. Really bad wings - easily the worst in Oakville - and I've gone to many wing joints here to find the best place for wing night. My first time at The Oakville Pump & Patio was an absolutely fantastic time! The restaurant is huge and has a great ambiance as well. There was also many good options available to accommodate by own food restrictions as well. The best part though is definitely the staff. I was served by a amazing server, Ivana. The customer service was phenomenal and she really knew what she was doing! My family and I had a pleasant conversation with her and that definitely contributed to the enjoyment of the experience at the restaurant. She was also really patient while I questioned the menu options to find food that didn’t break my food restrictions and didn’t make me feel rushed at all (that’s rare!). She is a phenomenal server and definitely deserves a good tip too. So look out for Ivana if you go here, she’ll make the experience even better! Over all, the restaurant provided us with a phenomenal experience, with a great environment and ambience, spectacular food flexibility and quality, and absolutely amazing staff and servers (like Ivana!).

They have a nice patio set up, and they kept the nachos from the previous bar which was the best thing on the menu. I don’t recommend the calamari though. Very small squid rings and you can taste the freezer burn.

Nice atmosphere, but the live band was way way too loud. In a place that size they do not need speakers. None of us at the table could have any sort of conversation as we couldn't hear each other. My friends and I arrived 5-10 mins before the 2nd set. Just before the band came on three tables left. The couple next to us warned us that the band is way too loud and you wont be able to hear each other. During the show, three more couples left. I feel bad for the wait staff. It was so loud they didnt do any rounds during the set. The food and drinks were great though. Just dont go during a live show.

My family and I went on a Friday. The staff were very friendly and professional. We ate outside, so we bypassed the vaccine passport. Its mandatory to dine inside (both vaccine receipts and Id would be needed). If you have not been to this restaurant before. I would recommend their street tacos. It does come with a hot sauce but you can get it on the side. Their apply blossom and white winesangria was amazing. I was happy with the overall experience! They do no take reservations. If you come earlier than the dinner or lunch rush, it should be fine. Please be kind to staff as well. We need more love and positivity right now.

We couldn't believe it when we heard there were a number of bad reviews of The Pump. Since I generally don't look at this type of media, I needed to see for myself what was being said and scanned through all 100. Some of these comments are utterly ridiculous and from our experience at The Pump plain out lying or exaggerations at best. Hey complainers, if you have a legitimate issue, the time to voice your concern is while you're at any business, any business, where there's an opportunity for management to try and make it right. Isn't giving management that opportunity the fair thing to do for both you and the business? We've had imperfect meals over the years, a simple pleasant conversation with our server always gets us satisfaction and the establishment feels confident we'll return in the future and not bad mouth them in the mean time. All business owners take criticism seriously and personally because they have their soles and money invested in their business so they absolutely care what their customers experiences are. Having owned businesses in can state that as fact. The Pump is no different. We were fairly regulars at the Niblick for a number of years until the last two or three years, the place became so tired and the food inconsistent. We were happy to see change coming to our neighbourhood. I will say we always had great service at the Niblick, good job to the staff. We've gone a few times now to The Pump and couldn't be happier about the environment, all the staff, especially Hilary and the food is fantastic. Some are commenting on the price, me too the first time I went. But stop for one second and look at the size of the portion being served and the quality. For us the Chef's specials are a real treat. We're both the kind that finds a restaurant and typically orders the same one or two options. At The Pump I don't look at the menu, just the specials. The specials aren't what you'd expect at a neighbourhood pub but more at the next level of dinning. The portions are large enough but what's most interesting is the flavours the Chef creates, it's almost like multiple levels of flavour on a plate. Not sure how to describe it. I basically eat to live, food for the most part is boring to me so finding something I enjoy like this is new to me. Our recommendation is don't just go for the easy burger, explore a little, try the specials. Last thing, thanks for reading my rant, definitely try the Cajun wings and the salt and pepper ribs, oh my gosh the ribs are fall off the bone, flavourful, over the top good. We will be back and have been telling our friends about The Pump. Try it for yourself before you listen to these one star critics. We are not in any way involved with The Pump nor do we personally know anybody there. This review is to counter some unfair posts based on our experiences and to try and bring some balance.

This restaurant has a large patio that is open on one end with temporary walls on the other 3 sides. They use a large wood burning stove and a gas powered blower to pump hot air into the patio. The temperature is very comfortable even in cold weather. The service is top notch and the menu offers a lot of variety. The food is very good and their selection of beers allows you to pair with anything on the menu.

I'll be honest, this food is really goood. They are very skilled at what they do. And no this isn't a "fake" review ffs. Go in, try something. I recommend the sliders. The food is really good man It's probably my favourite place to eat in oakville. Their chicken fingers are hella good, I seriously don't understand the bad reviews, for what it is it goes way beyond expectation. Certainly one of the best restaurants in oakville. Pizzas are also really good.

Went here for dinner a few nights ago. The service my family and I received was great. We were very well looked after by our server Ivana, who took the liberty of making suggestions, recommendations, and explaining some dishes. She also made sure to check up on us to ensure that we were enjoying our meal. The food was excellent and the wait times were far less than other restaurants of the same caliber. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a good meal.

The baked potato was not cooked through and was hard and cold. I asked for butter and it was frozen and would not melt on the cold potato so I left it. The fries were also cold. When the Nib closed I was pretty happy. I was really tired of dried out burgers and the old decor. Service was always solid but you had that neighborhood vibe inside. This new "pump and patio" is everything I didn't like about the niblick but worse. Came in twice with my wife and both visits were disappointing. The waitresses are all chatting behind the bar half the time leaving us in the dust. Our plates were ok... not very good but certainly not terrible. Just bland and flavorless. I would avoid the pump sliders. My wife ordered them rare but it came out well done and a bit dry... My banquet burger was O.K. but nothing special. Should have tried the Pastrami but whatever... second time food was decent but service was worse. Took forever to get menus and felt like my bartender had an attitude problem. We both got the wing special but they messed up the order twice and it came with no dipping sauce. Supposedly "that's extra". Left wishing the Niblick was still alive. This place has no soul and I can tell it's running on fumes.

I had a great evening at the Pump yesterday. I came in for a late lunch with my coworker and she also loved the experience. I got a burger with onion rings on the side and it was delicious. My server, Ivana, was extremely attentive and kind from the moment she greeted us. Her attitude really brightened up my day and made yesterday one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The prices are a bit high but the excellent service and good food makes up for it. I would recommend this Pump for a date or a casual meal with friends. I'll definitely be back.

The place is three years old, but I've been going since it was the Niblick. Now with a new name, and liked how they change the place, and glad they kept a lot the same menu most of all. I'd suggest ordering the food yourself and seeing if you really enjoy it, and then ask yourself would you pay that much for that meal? So Oakville now has a new restaurant!! I was sad to see Niblick go but also "pumped" for The Pump to take its place. I've been there twice now with my partner, and both times were pleasant. Unfortunately, it's not the best atmosphere to go on a date due to the loud noise and T.V's on every wall. This seems like the typical place to watch the playoffs or any other big sporting event. The servers were nice, greeted us and went through the menu. We never got left for more than 15 mins without our server asking if everything was okay. When the food showed up it was the bare minimum, nothing fancy just simple food that I could make at home and not have to sit in a loud restaurant to eat it. I ordered the burger with fries and my partner ordered fish tacos. Both meals were pretty tasteless and just looked like they slapped some kitchen stuff together to make it work. The second time I went I ordered the nachos and we also got poutine. The serving size is great for the nachos, but it lacks taste, toppings, and dipping sauces. The poutine was gross, don't ever order it. When the bill came it was time to fork out an arm and a leg for meals that I wanted to test out but by the end, I felt robbed. The meals were easily 15-20% more expensive than other restaurants. In the end, I will never go back, but I would suggest you give it a shot, this was my experience and maybe yours will be better. I gave this two stars out of five because both times the servers were amazing. This lost three stars due to the terrible food that is overpriced. Cheers!

Visited the restaurant for the first time a few days ago. There was no wait time when being seated and the food was also brought out relatively quick. My experience was made even better by my server Ivana who made sure my friends and I were looked after the whole night. Quick checkups on if we were doing okay and ensuring we we ere enjoying ourselves made the whole experience very memorable. Great customer service!!!! Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to grab a bite with friends.

The new Pump is fabulous ! The decour is just beautiful, very comfortable chairs ( big deal for me) love the fireplace and oh and the food is great! We had chicken wings - cooked and seasoned perfectly , oysters - my husbands thing - he said were great,! Pricing is reasonable (check online for daily deals) and the service was just wonderful! So happy that this restaurant is in our neighbourhood . Great staff, great food, great ambiance! I hope the local band Eldarao Bound can play there soon, that would be icing on the cake!
