Love the Oakville Temple bar, have now been there twice, the same week in February in both 2019 and 2020. Would label this a “locals bar” - its not fancy but is amazingly cozy and homey. You won’t find super high end cocktails here and hockey plays on the TVs nonstop but heck it’s Canada and it’s awesome. They have board games you can play (grab some trivial pursuit cards and test your skills while you drink) and everybody is super friendly. Highly recommended!

A great little local pub, it has a private "snug", and the back part of the bar has a raised area with a big screen TV and a fire place with loads of board games to use. The selection of beer is great (they have Grimbergen on tap!) and the food is good, hot, tasty and well prepared.

Ate here for the first time yesterday. They were pretty busy and had only one server on duty. We understood that there would obvious delays in our service, but no complaints here. We sat at their patio and Barb was friendly and did her best to service us. Great daily drink specials. Food was excellent. The burgers were delicious and their gravy is fantastic. Would definitely come back!

Nice place with friendly staff and wonderful appetizer deals dependant on the time you visit. Spacious outdoor patio. I love the nachos. Just a short walk from any home in Clearview . It would be helpful if they could mark on their menu what items are not prepared with wheat gluten or flour added intentionally. Call these "gluten wise" items perhaps? Stocking a little of one gluten free beer could not hurt either. Say Bards Gold or Schnitzer Brau for example as they are as close to regular beer as you might get in flavour.

Oakville Temple Bar took great care of our baseball team. They had all of our orders ready to go, with separate boxes for each family. The food was high quality and perfect for eating at the field.

Service was great - server came around three times to ask how we were doing, if we wanted more drinks, etc. All within a couple hours and the place was moderately busy. You dont get that level of service these days. I will come again when I am in the area next. A+

Music was great! Food was ok. Wings could be bigger; a bit small for the price. They tasted good though. Nachos were ok. Lettuce on nachos doesn't add anything interesting but that's just my opinion. Overall, decent atmosphere and live music is always a plus. The Middle of Nowhere Band played and they were great!

A great stop-off for a pub lunch, particularly on Wing Wednesday. Enjoy a Steam Whistle Lager and be treated to superb service from Michelle, your afternoon host. the Patio is shaded for the summer, nice!

Overall, not bad however...website menu is outdated and the actual pub menu is more expensive. Waitress who served us did not write our order down, that's always a red flag. She did get part of our order incorrect and one of the orders (wings) was served cold. Waitress said they don't have a heat lamp and this happens sometimes. And don't let the name of the pub fool you...it's not that Irish.

Hoping to give them a chance to get their place established and will head back to give it another go. It's a very local place for us so it would be good to have a great neighbourhood pub so close.

Your facebook page and Google maps says you are open until 1am, however when I came by at 12:24am your doors were locked and lights off...so it saddens me that when I was looking for a local bar that was open yours popped up and I walked 15 minutes to your bar and it was closed!!

The Temple burger is one of the burgers I've had in my life and I have travel a LOT! The bun is tasty and toasty, the blue cheese gives it a nice touch, and the meat has a lot of flavours. I find that it is not always the case in North America to add so much flavour to the burger meat. Moreover, the fries are always crunchy :D

I was floored by how good their temple burger was!!! I thought it would be like any pub burger anywhere but omg it is unreal!! Also got the temple fries which were incredible. I want to put that sauce on everything! So glad we tried this place! Will be back! Hopefully to dine in this time (once we can) because it looked like a cool atmosphere.

Foods was horrible. Wings over cooked, burnt and zero seasoning. Calamari was tasteless and chew. Manager walked past us and didn't say a word. I was really hoping it was a weekend cook so I could come back and experience good food, but when I asked the server she said its the regular cook. Very disappointing. What a shame.

Pros. Food was great Beers great And over all atmosphere is awesome. Cons. The server we had was absolutely disgusting. Rushed us in ordering. Was not polite Got our order wrong twice. And proceeded to argue with us as to why we are the people in the wrong. After all this decided it would be an even better idea to rant about why we are wrong to all his colleagues.... Learn some proper customer service and how to be a half decent server before working in this industry! Not sure how he's still a server there.... As long as you don't have him as your server everything else should be present and worth while.

A hidden little spot we found. A nice cozy establishment with good food and cold drinks. Standard pub fare available (burgers, sandwiches, wings, along with other favourites). Great selection of starter fries (we really enjoyed the supreme fries), and the staff are very helpful and nice. A local that we'll definitely be returning too.

Great experience at this local pub. We go regularly for 1/2 price wing nights when Leafs play & to enjoy their burgers, quesadillas, & Special Temple Fries, but they out did themselves at last night's first Lobster dinner for $29.99. A classic lobster boil platter was presented with all the fixings of boiled potatoes, corn & garlic butter & shell craking & meat digging tools. Fantastic meal & stall, well done. Highly recommend this establishment.

Don't get me started. I attended with a colleague on the first day they opened and was initially satisfied with the service. Spent upwards of a thousand dollars here on both food and beverages over the course of more than a year. Due to a series of unfortunate events was asked never to return. Bald headed owner is an absolute c*** to deal with and is completely impartial to well mannered patrons. Since then we have given our business to another local restaurant and have not looked back. Employees at bars tend to drink on the job; quite significantly in certain cases - this is absolutely the case with Temple Bar, completely compromising the integrity of this establishment. Hopefully they last about as long as all the other businesses that have circulated through that spot in the last decade. Huge thumbs DOWN

Waited over 1 hr and a half for food and asked for 2nd drink and they forgot. Absolutely ridiculous. You should not have to wait this long for food. The person with us was here first and got his food last. The manager was nice enough to appologize and help us with bill.

Before writing my review I looked through the reviews and saw some kid got mad about the place not having gender neutral bathrooms and im so glad they did kick him out! These people create a great atmosphere and dont need punk kids ruining it for the normal people that want to spend time together and have a good time.

Horrible service. I would give 0 stars if I could! Server was swearing in the prep station because my family of 12 came in on a Sunday afternoon without calling ahead. It was obvious they did NOT want to serve us. We left before we even ordered a drink because we were “inconveniencing” the restaurant staff. I Do NOT recommend for any larger groups or people who don’t want to be disrespected.

The owner Grahame Walsh recently shut down his Cambridge location, not in a respectable way but by not paying his rent on the lease. The staff found out they were out of jobs by coming to work and finding the locks changed. Many former employees have still not been paid for their last pay period, myself included. Do what’s right and pay your employees Grahame. I wouldn’t recommend eating here unless you’re passionate about supporting cowardly greed.

Our family is so happy to have discovered Temple Bar. We had a dinner with friends and loved the whole experience. Our server, Barb, was so friendly and the meals were delicious. Great atmosphere! On the way home we were discussing the menu and what we would try next time.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Waited over 2 hours for fries even after following up twice and the restaurant was only at half capacity. Our server only came over once every 20 mins to check up on us. The blonde manager on duty was at the bar drinking the entire time, however she got up to check on our food after we made a comment about the super long wait time for an appetizer. We also asked for water and it came right at the end when we were paying. We never ended up ordering our meals due to the terrible wait time. We will never come back to this place again.

Most wholesome, neigbourhood bar that has that old time feel of a community where the staff know your name and the owner buys you holiday drinks. So rare these days, but so genuine. I feel blessed to have this place as my home pub. Even when I'm not near, this is the place. Five stars!
