Our 2 year old did 2 sessions and loved it - wants to go back - very pleasant experience Maybe one advice is to make classes a bit shorter because 1 hour is a bit too much for 1 - 2 year old - usually gets tired about 40 or so min jn and then hangs around waiting for a stamp ;)

5 out of 5 Stars: Great gym - modern facilities and very well maintained. Here is my breakdown: +1 Star: Coach': Don Holmes is the man here! Best coach! They are always creating a positive and fun environment. Want to learn a progression? Staff are very knowledgable and always willing to provide input. +1 Star: Facilities: Very clean and modern. It is a privilege to train at this gym. Any piece of gymnastics equipment you can think of is at this facility. Also great for tricking/freerun/parkour enthusiasts (this place has a parkour class). +1 Star: Professional environment. Feels safe, and clean. I never have any doubts about this place. +1 Star: Variety. This place has classes for everyone. Adult gymnastics, parkour class, open gym, kids gymnastics, the list goes on. +1 Star: Location. Right off the highway on a main road. It's also in a community centre. Would I go back? Yes. The facility is amazing and the staff are personable. I definitely recommend to anyone.

We really liked this place as a summer camp option as my daughter really wanted to take gymnastics regularly but we could not afford the cost. But this last's summers experience was not a pleasant one. Unfortunately, she was teased the entire 2 weeks she was there by other students, since she is 8 and at a very beginner level, on her skills. Laughing at her for not being able to do a cartwheel etc. She now never wants to go again. Due to this experience, we will not enroll her this year, but I would suggest to the club, that they group the summer camp kids in similar skill levels, so as not to scare of beginners and to be able to still challenge the more advanced students.

My daughter has been practicing with them for one year and everything is going well, professional coaches and reception team. Reservations can be done online only and usually it fills very fast

Both my children are in the competitive programs here and LOVE IT. All of the coaches and staff are amazing - our second family ????

Great facilities. My boys love going. The younger classes have less experienced coaches. Giving it a 4 because although they didn't have great experience at coaching the coaches were very friendly. Office staff not so much. If you take time off from the program they jam you with a building fee when you sighn up again

As this place is close to home, I put my daughter in a term of the rec program and then two weeks of the summer camp. All the coaches and camp counsellors she's had she really liked. Although the gym is full, it's very organized and everyone knows which space they are to occupy and for what amount of time with a regular rotation to ensure everyone gets a chance on each of the pieces of equipment. I wouldn't have any hesitation on recommending this gymnastics club. In addition the fees are very reasonable.

The Oakville Gymnastics Club is not a place where anyone should want their children to be in our opinion, especially after the experience we have had with them. Our experience with them has left my husband and I thankful that we pulled our 2yr. old out of their program. I signed my 2 yr. old up for their Parent & tot program...after the first 2 classes where it was evident that my son was not ready to participate and the staff that is supposed to be there for guidance and help (believe me when I say they were non-existent in their "help") I decided that taking my son out for now and hopefully revisiting the program in the fall when he may be more ready. I called their office to speak with someone. I was directed to "Agnes" who was rude, unsympathetic and couldn't wait to get me off the phone. "Agnes" then informed me that Wayne would be back the next week and I could discuss it with him. After waiting until the end of the week I then decided to call back myself. When the person picked up the phone I asked to speak to Agnes and the woman then informed me that she was Agnes. I found this quite strange as the woman I spoke to the week previous clearly had an accent and this woman did not. When I confronted her about that and after a lot of back and forth the real Agnes that I was now speaking to admitted that the woman I had spoke to the week before for whatever reason pretended to be Agnes as this real Agnes had been on holidays at the time of my first phone call. I was shocked and appalled by this and at that point I then decided that a credit was not appropriate as I did not want my child in any place where staff would so easily lie. I then said that I would be happy to pay for the 2 classes that we attended and any administrative fees but would like the rest of my money refunded. The Gym refuses to give me the balance of our money and has told us too bad that they are going to keep our money as they believe this is fair. We have again pointed out that staff lied, were not helpful and in fact rude and unprofessional. Clearly these people have no business ethics, morals or practices. Please think twice before entrusting your children to people who lie so easily to gain a mere $200. They should be ashamed of their business practices. Especially in dealing with small children! Let me also add that Wayne Hussey the Director is unwilling to answer his phone, return any messages and refuses to answer any emails regarding our situation. He is more than happy to hide.

This is absolutely the worst sports establishment in Oakville and likely in Canada. The overall club comes across as extremely arrogant and care-less at all levels. They stuff up the limited space with more and more kids and increasing the numbers every year. The training area is very crowded with various groups, while the groups are huge. There is absolutely no time for the coaches to spare and to focus on a single child and everything is getting completely out of hands. Even the coaches look very frustrated and not in focus because of the locomotion. On top of that, the office stuff is very unpleasant and the rules are rigid with a sole point to protect the organization and definitely not to help the client. In the bottom line - money grab!! Don't waist you time and money!!!

0 stars for my horrific experience with this "business". My experience was luckily limited to a phone call - in which I called to inquire about the parent & tot program and sign up my child (which I thankfully did not). "Agnes" was so rude in answering the call and bluntly stated it was annoying that I (a prospective client) was calling to inquire about signing up, when she had current members phoning on important issues and "had already missed 2 calls". It only got worse from there when I got the "run-around" from "Karinda" with respect to accommodating my son's minor disability... a request that has only ever been welcomed and fully accommodated at all other programs, sports facilities, etc, including other gymnastics facilities. Their complete lack of professionalism, knowledge and desire to assist others to enjoy learning and developing in a safe and fun environment was appalling. I am so thankful that their opinions on this matter and general rudeness was readily apparent in our first conversation, and therefore saved me spending money and time in their facility before realizing what a huge mistake it was.

My daughter has learnt three sessions in Oakville Gymnastic Club from 4 and a half years old. She is really enjoy the class and had pretty good progress. The facilities are fantastic and coaches are kind. Special thanks to coach Zoran, they are responsible and detailed.

Our son attended the Oakville Gymnastics Club for three years. Initially it was quite good - nice, attentive instructors and lots of fun. He loved going to class every Sunday morning. However we decided not to send him back after the third year, as a result of two separate, but related incidents: 1. The instructors approached my wife at the end of (what became) his last session to express their concern over an innocent comment from our five-year-old son that 'he loved them' and 'couldn't live without them' (both comments probably ascribed to one of the 'Madagascar' movies he was into at the time). Both instructors expressed their discomfort with the comments (from a five-year-old) and felt that they were inappropriate. We were dumbfounded by their reaction to say the least. Surely an adult in their twenties or thirties should have the ability to put the innocent comments of a five-year-old in perspective without effectively stigmatizing the child? 2. In the preceding week, the same instructor advised us that our son should try-out for the Gymnastics Team - which is a separate, more structured version of the 'play' classes that he was already attending. When I seemed surprised, the instructor emphasized that our son was definitely a good candidate and possessed the skills that would allow him to join the team. Upon registering for the try-out, it definitely appeared that almost the entire class had been put forward for the team. Nevertheless, we were happy to have him participate and possibly move ahead to another level of gymnastics. The day of the try-outs came and our son was very happy and excited to participate. However, upon commencing the try-outs, he was asked to do moves that he had never done in his classes. He was totally unprepared by the instructors and was way over his head. After the try-out he was near to tears and wondered why they made him do things that he'd never done before or had never been taught to do. He was shattered and embarrassed. By way of disclosure, we never confronted the instructors or the club management on these issues. Frankly, we were far too emotional over these events to address these issues in a calm and steadfast manner. The day of the try-outs was our last day at the Oakville Gymnastics Club and based on these events, we cannot recommend this club to anyone at the beginner level. We seriously question the instructors qualifications to deal with children - specifically young boys - and further question their emotional state that they should be so triggered by the innocent affection of a five-year-old. Our son is now in his second semester at Schlegel's Gymnastics and he is very happy there. They offer a much more structured program with what we feel are more qualified instructors for his age and gender. We're just happy that he didn't lose his enthusiasm for the sport because of his unfortunate experience at Oakville Gymnastics Club.
