Great warm area to watch the game with restaurant and bar. We just had the brekkie special and it was deelish!

The ice isn't usually the greatest, too hard. Bathrooms are always a mess, both in the rooms and at the bar. Service is slow upstairs at the bar.

Four pad hockey arena is a great place for local leagues and sill development programs. Thirsty Penguin restaurant also serves good lunch.

I've been using the Beyond the next level facility lately, and with both knowledge staff, and a great setup, they are one of a kind for sports training and therapy. Highly recommended Dave Rankin to anyone seeking therapy.

-2 Stars for the crappy Service at the Thirsty Penguin Restaurant / Bar. I go see my GirlFriend play Hocley each week and I never get asked if I want anything to drink or eat, even if the bar staff walks by me every 10 mins tending to other customers.....

It has gotta a lot better since last year. The bar upstairs is a great space to grab a bite a watch the rink. It apparently is a fairly popular place for birthday parties for kids.

Our Minor hockey team signed up for the Youth Hockey Academy last winter and we won the Cup in our league! The Adult Hockey Academy can turn any wanna be grown up into a hockey player too!

The rinks and dressing rooms are a bit run down. The restaurant (the thirsty penguin) is ok. It does offer viewing of each ice surface as well as many screens. There is a pro shop on site if you need your skates sharpened or a stick.

Absolutely the greatest place for adult and kids skating and hockey lessons. I've been taking my kids here for years and the experienced instructors really do a great job. They even have a bar, called the Thirsty Penguin, overlooking the ice rinks!

Update: it seems like they have corrected the access problem as well as implemented changes to staff behavior and procedures. The young gentlemen now at the entrance are pleasant and helpful. __________They have taken away their handicapped parking, refused me access to their elevator and when i asked if i could have a chair to sit to watch my child play hockey. They refused. They had a disabled woman sit on the cold hard floor. They caused a very large embarrassing scene. Who picks on disabled people, like really who does that?

It's a great place to watch hockey as you can see all four rinks from the restaurant. The restaurant food is okay, nothing special, pub food. Service is weird because so many people go just to watch games, so the serving staff don't come around and ask if you want drinks or food, you have to go find them and ask for service. I assume because many people don't want food or drinks, they have become discouraged so don't ask, but it seems they lose sales assuming you don't want anything.

Mediocre ice rink at best. If you're not sitting in the heated restaurant area, bring your woolies, the rinks are freezing! And the restaurant isstill closed. .

Terrible service at the restaurant. No one came to my table to offer not even the menu. I had to get the menu by myself for nothing. The worst part is that there was barely any customer there at that time. The view of the rinks is great tho. But I'm still hungry :(

League is always unbalanced and players are over aggressive. No control. Brutal conveners who don't know how to properly balance divisions. Force you to play in a division beyond your skill level. LAZY! Do your job, absolutely pathetic!

If you like sitting in a booth without anyone coming by to take your order for 10-15 minutes, then this is the place for you. I even approached the waitress and asked her if she could come by and take our order. She never showed up. We went to Wendy's instead and it was fast, cheap and delicious. Later, after my son's hockey game was over, I order 16 wings to go. When I got home, it was the wrong order. Such a waste of time and money.

Referees don’t call head shots or hitting from behind for last 2 years. If you care for your safety and health I would NOT recommend playing at this arena.

Great learn to skate program with attentive coaches. Yes it may seem a bit expensive but actually it is comparative if not cheaper than the community centre programs esepcially when you factor in that the kids in canlan get an hour of instruction versus 30 mins at the community centre. Kids are at the beginning lined up and then asked to skate to the other end. Kids are dispersed into their respective groups with no more than 5 kids to a coach.

Great feel to this place when you arrive, well laid out and plenty of stick and puck options, if you get time to go during the week day it is real quite and you'll have plenty of room to shoot and practice. Place needs a bit of upkeep however with some of the floor tiles loose and almost like trip hazards. Toilets and showers are also in a bad need of a makeover and in poor condition
