Not following any Covid procedures. Not a single staff member wore masks and the tables were all very close together (less than 2 feet). Also the staff members were all very rude, we had 3 different servers and each one got worse. There are plenty of better restaurants in Oakville, don't waste your time for the extremely poor customer service here. Do better Bru

Went there for an team lunch yesterday. What I liked: The décor is pleasing, beer selection good, food is tasty What I didnt like: the service was TERRIBLE!!! We waited over 40 minutes for our food to arrive even though we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. We told the waitress we all needed to be back in the office shortly but she kept chatting with other people and delaying instead of getting coming over to get our payments. And then she messed up two bills, and had to adjust them twice before getting it right. Overall, I would only recommend the place for drinks and food ONLY if you're not on a schedule.

Food was good, however there was no need to pre cut the steak, or cover it in gravy. The New Burger was delicious, we were sat directly in front of the heat pump, which was blowing ac, and unfortunately cooled off our meal before we could really enjoy it. Overall it was nice and would definitely go back. Hopefully lakeshore will be in working order next time we go back.

I've been in almost every restaurant at downtown Oakville and I have to say that this one is probably the only one I left with a bad impression. Food was not good and didn't get a good service form my waitress. I have to say that in my previous visit service was pretty good but not tonight.

Dropped in for a quick drink on Sunday evening and ended up staying for the $5 Draft, $5 Jr. Burger deal. The burger was great, tasted like a Big Mac but with much better quality ingredients. The list of local draft beer available on tap is great, the atmosphere is modern, contemporary and rustic and the service was good. Looking forward to coming back already.

Stopped in for a quick drink and nibblies on a Tuesday afternoon around 5. Server was great and super knowledgeable about ALL of the beer - and there is a lot. My real reason for taking the time to write a review was the Sushi Nachos. OMG it's 24 hours later, and I'm still thinking about them. They may actually be the best thing I have ever tasted. EVER!

The concept of this restaurant is cool. It's definitely catered to the more hipster craft beer drinkers. I've been here twice within a one year time frame and the restaurant still lacks a "wow" factor. The food is decent, but a bit overpriced. I've been to many other restaurants that serve craft beers, and I would say Brü's prices is on the higher end of the spectrum, especially for 14 oz pours. I do want to note that I really like the industrial feel of the decor and overall a great atmosphere. However, when I went with my group of friends this past weekend, it was evident the AC was not strong enough. Perhaps it was because we sat at the back near the kitchen. One thing I do appreciate is their Sunday specials which is $5 for any draft beer and $5 for their jr. version of the Brü burger.

Incredible food offered in a safe curbside pickup during physical distancing measures. What a treat to have dinner from some of Oakville's best restaurateurs at home. We had the baked salmon, Bru burger, split pea & ham soup, their delicious beef brisket, and strawberry-rhubarb pie! All the vegetables were so flavourful and nourishing. Thank you Tammy and George! While we're living in an unusual "season", you provide comfort and joy as we wait patiently for a return to the (extra)ordinary.

We visited Bru Restaurant for my Niece's and Nephew's First Holy Communion Party. The place is deceivingly big inside and very well decorated and designed. The Service was impeccable and even the Owner was involved. The Food was a ???? if I could have given it. The antipasto you would expect to get is the same old boring prosciutto, boccongini, melon, with a few olives this one had Grilled Calamari, grilled Shrimp, a nice big piece of friulano cheese, prosciutto, Mellon, a piece of artichoke heart, olives, and a bit of bruschetta mix on a salad leaf. Amazing. Only thing that I would maybe suggest is to put that Bruschetta mix on top of a thin slice of toasted baguette instead of the salad. The Pasta was Excellent! Perfectly Cooked, not mushy, and the sauce was Super! I am allergic to acidy, sour sauces, and this was definitely not! Plenty of basil and fresh parmesan cheese, not grated but shaved! The Salad was Fantastic, nice mix of greens with a nice balsamic reduction dressing and topped with delicious goat cheese. The Main Dish - The BOMB????. Had a choice of Steak, Lamb Shank, Salmon and Chicken. I picked Steak, and let me tell you something, it was one of the best, tastiest, juiciest steaks that I have ever eaten, and I have eaten at many fine establishments world wide. Accompanied with nicely prepared mashed potatoes and a delicious gravy reduction, along with some green beans and grilled pepper. AMAZING. It is hard enough to get a well cooked steak on individual basis, never mind when it is prepared for a large party, so I was really impressed. I also tried my sister in laws Lamb Shank. It was a nice size portion and the meat just melted in your mouth!!!! Amazing! It also didn't have a strong, overpowering lamb smell and taste like New Zealand lamb sometimes can have if not prepared properly. Thank You for your wonderful Service and Food. Great Job! Well Done and will definitely be paying you guys a visit in the future.

The beer selection is really great and I go here for that. I pass on the food though. My first experience was extremely oily and soggy nachos to the point where I couldn't even finish them. Haven't had the food since then. Great beer though!

We were hosting a business partner from Italy and decided on Brü for an upscale Canadiana vibe. Tammy and the staff were impeccable, the food was delicious and the beer list was impressive. Other than the Leafs losing, it was a fantastic evening! Looking forward to going back to watch the Raptors

Good wait staff, octopus was perfectly cooked and melts in your mouth, brisket on soft potato bun was amazing. Good craft beer and dessert. My only beef was the pork chop was too salty. It was delicious, but salty, had to drink 4 glasses of water to dilute the taste

Good revolving collection of beers on tap and a fun ambiance. Definitely keep an eye on when the live music is happening as that will determine the volume and depending if you are going for a fun place to chill or somewhere to catch up with friends you may find it hard for conversation. One great little benefit is the flight of beer and order of fries for $20 taxes and tip in ($15 plus tax plus 20%).

Christy was a fantastic server and human. Made our experience great. Only place that serves Bellwoods in Oakville. Order the Brisket sandwich with egg and bacon alter the trajectory of your life. The fish and chips were good too.

Went here with a few friends after hearing good things. But sadly, I didn't enjoy the food. The burger bun arrived all soft and wet. It was drenched. and the burger itself had no taste to it. Didn't enjoy that at all to a point half way through, I stopped eating. But the fries did make up for it. Service was great.

Lovely restaurant with a great ambience. The menu was well put together with options for everybody. I had the fish and chips which was quite good, lacked a little bit of salt but the tartar sauce made up for it! The turkey club was very well put together , although with the bun it was more of a burger than a traditional club. Our server was fantastic and will definitely visit again!

The staff is great, they know the brews like a fine wine, but they also have wine and can make a great mixed drink. This is s great place to learn about fine Canadian Beer (and I am an American in love with Canadian Beer and wine). The food is perfect (My favorite is the Shrimp Po'Boys) its a great place to watch the game with a group or alone (I was there yesterday, and have bee there every other day since I was turned on to the place by a good friend last week). The beer is cold and crisp.....need beer? need food? need to chill alone or have a business meeting? Bru Baby...bring it on

Probably one of the best restaurants downtown Oakville. Great spot for a date, fantastic food and a great selection of Ontario craft beers. The price point is a bit high on alcohal, some of their crafts go over 10 bucks for a tall can, and their cocktails are all pricey too. But if you're in the mood for a good meal and nice atmosphere, Bru is a fantastic.

ordered from Bru restaurant in Oakville a couple of days ago. The process was so painless. The food was ready on time, was hot, and delicious. The Turkey club and cauliflower were amazing. Will order again for sure. Thanks George for making these times a little easier by getting nice take-out food.

What happened to this place? A few years ago it was great but the quality has gone down a lot. The food was mediocre and the beer was good but the list has decreased a lot and the volume is pretty low for what you pay for. Finally our waitress was pretty negligent and added a beer to our bill that we didnt order. The place is fine but at this price point theres a lot of better options in the area.

Staff weren't wearing masks, didn't see a single hand sanitizer station outside, staff weren't physically distancing when taking orders (or wearing a mask when it wasn't possible, like when delivering food and drink). Clearly not a paranoid person but have seen better systems from other restaurants in the past week. Hopefully they can improve so I don't end up reading up about them in the paper for the wrong reasons.

Sadly dissatisfied- been there numerous times- good food- great friendly service- great atmosphere with live music- then struck out on a Saturday night @800- waitress was not friendly from the get go- seems as soon as we ordered non alcoholic drinks- she could not be bothered with us- slow service- had to wait a long time to order- extra long wait for main courses to arrive- then two rib orders arrived COLD- add on salad missing? - After speaking to Management- credit given for errors- Which is good PR- Really hard pressed to go back again though- Definitely ask for a different waitress upon returning-

Arrived this Friday for a Birthday dinner for a friend. Nice table near the window and it was busy. Good service from the waitstaff for both drinks and dinner. I had the Fish n Chips...was a bit over cooked but delicious.great atmosphere but music was too loud for that early part of the evening. We were shouting at each other from across that table and it was 8PM.

The food menu is playful and professional with impeccable, smoky execution; the decor urban and the beer selection unmatched in Oakville. Lakeshore casual at its best and an experience guaranteed not to disappoint for beer and food lovers alike.

Had the absolute worst experience here. We saw several people that came in after us get their order before us (and it was the exact same thing we ordered as well). After about 40 minutes of patiently waiting and asking different servers what was going on, our server finally came over with our side dish and informed us that the kitchen had run out of burgers and it would not be much longer now (we did see about 4 other people get an order of burgers after this). After finally getting extremely frustrated 20 minutes after that, we went to a server (not ours) to let her know we had to leave now and the wait time was just ridiculous. She was the only nice one (brown hair) and rushed to get us our order and packed it up for us to take. The service was absolutely terrible and the waitresses all looked very stressed out and frustrated and were not smiling. Also just very surprising that they still charged us for our meal after we had to wait an hour and weren't even able to sit in and enjoy it.

It was awesome :) Sue was our server and everyone else there working was great, they worked as a team and all very polite, kind and provided an excellent experience. We had wings, a cocktail, wine and a sundae. Sounds super simple, but they're wings were amazing, home made sauces with TLC and I drank the Harvey's Weissbanger, delicious fruity beer cocktail! Their sundae dessert was to die for, made with real dairy cream (you can taste the difference) ????

They used to have a great location and wocked menu. Menu seems to have shrunk the prices are a touch high. Food is good but i wouldnt say reflective of the price. The beer selection is always great though and the 5 dollar special was awesome to see. Really sad they changed their turkey club it really was the best around before they changed the bread.

I’ve given this restaurant many chances to change my mind and opinion on my review but seems to never fail, every time I have eaten at this restaurant I have found hair in my food, appetizers and main course, I don’t know if they have never heard of hair and beard nets but it’s disgusting. Food is not great to begin with, food is overpriced and they reel you in with their $5 beers on Sunday. Don’t waste your time or money. Downtown Oakville is full of fantastic restaurants to eat at. This isn’t one of them! ..... unless you like hair in your food ofocurse.

I enjoy going to Brü as I'm a big fan of their awesome, constantly rotating beer selection. They have countless bottle you won't find at the LCBO or beer store, I know because I've tried. The atmosphere is nice, during the day is relatively quiet but it gets very full in the evening. The staff, every single time I've gone there, has been fantastic. Some of the nicest and most helpful bartenders and servers in Oakville. The food, for the most part is great. They change their menu semi-often which I appreciate. I'm told they have a new menu for after midnight madness so I'll be sure to check that out. On my most recent visit had the brisket sandwich and the burger. The brisket was great, very juicy, perfect size served with a nice mountain of golden fries. The burger while tasty was a bit salty. I informed our server of this and a few minutes later she came back with an apology, 2 free drinks and saying the chefs were cooking up a burger to see if they'd made their batch too salty. There was no hesitation, no request for compensation, they just did what needed to be done. I look forward to the new menu and you should as well.

We were excited to be able to get out to a restaurant and the food was very good but we were VERY shocked and uncomfortable at what little regard they had to the Covid protocols. Although our tables were spread out, there had to have been at least 50 customers in the entire restaurant (we counted 18 in our room alone, a table of 6 and the owner/ manager was walking around with his bandanna around his neck more than it was around his mouth and nose. Disappointed for our first dinner out as it’s a great little spot.

I have heard good things about this place but I was very disappointed. The noodle bowl had overcooked noodles, the Caesar salad was mediocre and the chicken wings had to be sent back because they were still raw in the middle. The staff brought us a new order but not once did any staff member apologize for such a serious food issue, let alone offer to do anything about it. This is very poor customer service in my opinion.

Everything about this place is kind of mediocre. Based on other reviews it seems like something has changed in the last 10-12 months - new management maybe? The food is pricey but fine. The service was alright, if a bit impatient/indifferent. Notably, the beer menu is nothing special. For a place that touts itself as being about craft beer I was a little let down. Seems like they're more interested in the IDEA of "Craft Beer" rather than offering any particularly interesting or dynamic choices. Oh, and it's yet another restaurant following the trend of pouring 14 oz "pints" and still charging as much as an actual pint. Weirdly the highlight of my meal was the mixed greens salad that came with my brisket. The pomegranate/grape combo was delicious.

We decided to check Bru out because I wanted to try the fish and chips and I have had a hard time finding somewhere in Oakville that was somewhere I would return to aside from one other one place. I ordered the Fish and Chips and my girlfriend ordered the Turkey Club to eat and ciders/beer to drink. The Fish was perfect because the batter to fish ratio was prefect and my girlfriend enjoyed Turkey Club but the fries were not consistently cooked. The service was good for the majority of the meal but although the beer came quickly the ciders ordered took longer to arrive despite being in a can and I saw about four cans pass our table ten minutes before one arrived at our table (about ten after it was ordered) and the server apologized for the delay. Overall, I think this is a good place to go for good portions and an enjoyable meal.

Amazing selection, flavour and very personal service. We have several food allergies (Gluten and nuts) in our family and they take the care needed so our food is prepared safely. To top it off, they are priced fairly and the portions are perfect in size!

We had a private event at Bru for my moms 65th birthday and they knocked it out of the park! Great atmosphere with exposed red brick, candles cut into the walls and bar area for everyone to circle around. The staff were super helpful and attentive all night, and even brought in special liqueurs so we could make a signature drink of one of my moms favourites. Food was delicious and came out of the kitchen at a consistent rate over the night, plus they provided the cake cutting! Overall a great night that our guests really enjoyed!

Food options are a bit pricey even considering its status as an upscale bierhaus. Also their varying beer selection is not always available on tap. Worth a visit, but if you're looking for a place to try some craft beers on tap without going overboard, this may not be all that obliging.

Love this comfy place to chill or catch up with someone. Generous list of draft beers to choose from plus canned or bottled spectrum of craft beer styles. Menu of food to order brief but easy to find something to hit the spot. Some places have menus too extensive which can lead to medoecre results and dishes that aren’t tasty. These people understand that and deliver a smaller menu with excellent results. Good spectrum of dishes to appeal to most. Staff was calm and friendly making you feel like you are in someone’s home. Music not too loud to have conversation. Place was busy so clearly others enjoy this place too. Good spot in Old Oakville to relax I’ll will return for sure

They have an excellent rotating beer selection from local breweries. Everytime I come there is a different list of 15 or so beers. The menu is small, which is a good thing as it allows them to focus on making a few things great.

Bartender greeted us sort of and told us to sit. Service was ok and thankfully our server was really cute and sweet. Just not a fan of the lack of choices on menu. My guy had the bru burger which he loved but fries way to salty. Leek flatbread was good. My salmon was a little bland.

Outstanding service, very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere! The double stacked cheeseburger was the best I have ever eaten. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a Friday night out with friends or a dinner evening with the family.

Place has a nice ambience. Good choice of alcohol. Located in downtown Oakville. We went there with a group of 7 and the restaurant gave us a table that was probably comfortable for 6 people so it felt a bit tight. Other than that the food was quite good but it took a long time to get to the table. The server was quite nice and the overall meal was quite enjoyable. Entrées are in the 20 to 40 dollar range so plan accordingly. Cheers

Their draught beer selection is constantly vhanging. The 4 taster deal is great because you can pick 4 different types of beers and enjoy different flavors. The place is clean and the atmosphere is inviting and laid back. I've been here once before and it was great both times.

Go for the drinks. Decent amount of seating, TV's playing sports. I was disappointed in the food, especially the burger. I would call this more of a 3.5 star. Suffers from classic Oakville problem: everything is bang average for the price. You're paying for the location. It's a good restaurant if you're in the area.

Horrible Service. The bar tender didn't seem to want out business. We wanted to walk in for a few drinks and seemed have to beg to get a drink. With only a few other customers at the bar. We were more then happy to go to another place with better atmosphere and the bar tender was more then happy to have us. I guess they don't need the business. Or maybe they judge how people look like before they enter. The bar tender is not friendly at all. Definitely don't recommend this place.

We three adults had lunch at 2pm Sunday, Sept 26. The burger & fries was very good, the Turkey BLT was good and the Turkey Lasagna was bland. The real source of disappointment was that 3 staff were maskless and no attempt was made to keep the many guests wearing theirs. A large party, a christening perhaps, of maybe 40 people wore no masks as they roamed freely around the restaurant, repeatedly walking in and out. Other customers from different parties did the same. One male server, reddish hair in a ponytail, constantly walked throughout the restaurant maskless, 2 other staff were seen once without. This could make for an easy super-spreader event, especially since every guest hugged & or kissed several others.

This restaurant is my favored. I eat in many restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very cordial and the food they offer is so appetizing. I never decline to have a nice meal in this place. Highly recommended.

We left after 40 min, so, no stars? Okay it seems like 1 is the lowest I can go. Terrible experience. This is my first negative review but it was so notably bad that I feel compelled to speak up. We arrived 10 mins early for an 8pm reservation. We stood at the entrance to Seasons as instructed when we booked. There was a function going on and the staff seemed very busy. One gentleman apologized and asked if we'd like something to drink while we stand. We declined. After standing for about 10 mins, we overheard a waiter tell another group that this isn't the entrance to BRU and he'll take them over. We followed that group. We were told at that entrance that BRU and seasons are the same place so return to where we were and they'll "find a place for us". We return to the original spot. Waited ten mins, no social distancing, most people wearing masks under their nose. A staff member, using a bandana as a mask, asked the group of 4 infront of us how many were in their party. He took the number in our party as well(2). After 5 more minutes a couple walked in off the street. The staff member with the bandana walked straight past us, and addressed the couple immediately. He told them they were busy but there was a table near to us that they could have immediately if they didn't mind the seating location. I then said, "excuse me, we had a reservation for 8pm, it's now 8:20pm and you've just sat walk-ins before us". He said "I know that. I'll get to you shortly". The couple overheard and offered us the table. The staff member then proceeded to take the chairs from another table and set up seating for us. The occupants of that table then came back and asked loudly "DID THEY TAKE OUR CHAIRS?!". We then waited a final ten minutes with menus and decided to leave at 830pm when noone attended to us. I'm not going to speculate as to why the couple was seated before us, or why having a reservation didn't matter. We ordered take out from Harper's Landing and got a hand written note attached to the bag that they "appreciate the patronage and our food was prepared with love".

Great place for grabbing a bite in the downtown area! Ordered the brisket and oh my was it delicious! Atmosphere and chill and relaxed and great to grab a drink with a friend! Service was a bit slow but would recommend! Also had live music 9pm Saturday nights????

I love eating a Bru. The menu is really varied and everything is excellent and the beer list is always interesting. I’ve taken a group from out of town to Bru before and everyone has ordered a different meal and everyone has been extremely pleased. To top things off it’s a fun, friendly atmosphere and the service is great. Highly recommended!

Group of a dozen people. My wings were over cooked under sauced. I did not like how server handled me sending my meal back, they did not attempt to explain or understand why I was not satisfied or how attempt to approach a resolution. Wings were brought back to the table a little later with some change to them, but it was not told how. Was told to try them again and if I didn't like them they could be removed from the bill. Server quickly moved onto other patrons before I could even ask what was done differently. I could not recommend this as a place to go eat, maybe drink, but there are lots of places to drink.

Enjoyed our meal here. Loved the industrial decor. Food was amazing. We eat gluten and dairy free and they were easily able to accomodate us. Will def go again.

If you like beer come here. Amazing craft beer on draft and a great menu to boot. Samples are always encouraged which allows one to find the beer which suits them the most. Sundays all beer is $5 which you can't go wrong with.

Went in for a beer on Sunday, they have $5 draught beers and $5 jr. Burgers as the special. We usually enjoy this place, because the draught selection is quite good, and the food is pretty good as well. We were presented a menu for Taste of Oakville, so I decided to try. The kale salad was good, but it all went very downhill with the main. It was a teeny portion of chicken schnitzel, which, if done properly, would have been fine. It was two strips of breaded chicken that was very bland and extremely overcooked. It looked and smelled as though it had been through several hard minutes in a deep fryer that needed it's shortening replaced. Mashed was bland. Gravy was bland. Very disappointing. Server told me it was pan fried...please do not tell a chef with 30 years of experience what is pan fried and what is not. A tasting menu is supposed to showcase the best the establishment had to offer, but this clearly was not the case. Won't be back for awhile.

The new curb side pickup arrangement, needs some help which is why we’re giving it 4 stars. Suggestion: have one person with great phone customer service skills to communicate. It would make it a smoother transition. After a slightly short toned conversation from a staff member, someone came out with a glass of wine which was a kind gesture.

We booked Bru for a private event and they went out of their way to accommodate. Even better were the decorations and candles, and the catering. They even did homemade cannolis! We are already regulars at this place, but they really outdid themselves on the private event. Highly recommend!

We arrived at the restaurant shortly after 22:15 on a Saturday night and were advised the kitchen was closing soon, so we placed an order for honey garlic chicken wings. When they arrived they were under-cooked, showing pink on the inside. We notified our waitress to which she said that she would take them back and remove it from the bill but the kitchen was closing in 2 minutes. Not great service considering that it wasn't our fault the food was not cooked properly the first time. We left a $20 bill for my $15 cocktail and walked out. Definitely will not revisit.

Had a variety of different appetizers, really liked the brussel sprouts! Had the fish and chips for dinner. Delicious! It had a gluten free coating that was really tasty. Service was wonderful for our table of 14. One person was very excited that they had a gluten free apple pastry! Worth going to at least once! Lots of food options!

Never do this but....nobody in restaurant expecting lunch service except for one couple sitting at bar and us. We received our drink order no problem. Our disinterested waitress was busy cleaning up table from large party right beside us. We had to get her attention to ask where our food was after perhaps a 45 minute wait. She claimed it would be right up. Then nothing. Our glasses sat empty. No estimate on when our food was coming out. Kitchen was packed with staff, so what a confusing situation. After approx. 1 hour we paid for our drinks and were leaving when our food arrived. We told her no thank you and left. I used the washroom during this time and...ugh. Music was a pop/western mix which if this is your jam, enjoy. We wanted this spot to be our go to, but never again.

Went on a Monday night, so as expected it wasn't that busy at all. But that didn't take away from the experience one bit. Great rustic cottage vibe to the place, and one of the best beer lists in the surrounding area. I didn't get food this time around, but I remember from an earlier visit that it was a solid offering to complement the atmosphere.

The kale salad was very small for 15 dollars and way too sweet. The steak was good but only with 3-4 mushrooms. We didn't get a steak knives with the dish. The music was great. I will not come back. Way too pricey for small dishes.

The patio is open, and Bru and Seasons are once again the place to visit for lunch or dinner. Great food, drinks and staff. I honestly can't say enough about what a wonderful group of restaurants Bru, Seasons and Corks are. George and Tammy have created a magnificent restaurant experience between three unique brands. They both work tremendously hard, and they hire only the best. If you need further proof, we brought them on as caterer for our wedding. They vastly exceeded our already lofty expectations, and they did so much more than just care, they effectively made our wedding the success it was from beginning to end.

Excellent food. Came fast to start and once our server got her act together ye mains came quickly. Server was really swamped but food was amazing and s really nice guy helped us get out quickly once we got fed up. Amazing food and great beer menu.

Second time visiting Brü and the experience was similar to last. Food was great but our server acted like she didn't want to be there. Food took a while despite it being a slower night, but it was delicious. Love the rotating beer options.
