Here you will be able to see the reviews of people like you who used the products and services of Smuggler's Cove Pub (Night Club) in the area of Oak Bay (Canada).
At the moment the firm receives a score of 4.1 over 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is quite high, and it's based on a very high number of reviews, so we may be quite sure that the assessment is very accurate. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to write reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Night Club is classified in the category of Pub.
Nice pub. Used to have very cheap chicken wings on Tuesday. Had lots of good time.
Great parking lot. Never been in there. I'm told it's fun.
Good selection on tap and food was fast and fresh.
Good food. Friendly service. A little dark for my liking
Nice pub
This place is okay. It's sort of a neat layout, with upstairs seating in a tudor-style building. The patio is great too. The food is average and the prices are what you'd expect in a pub. If you're in Cadboro bay. this is the only choice really, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.
A cozy, warm tavern-like atmosphere with good food.
Yum yum!
Never had a problem with the service and food here, always a pleasurable experience. Really nice on a Sunday afternoon on the deck with the pub grub, brews n bros.
Our server Renee was efficient, polite, and on the ball. We ordered 2 orders of dry pepper wings and 2 beers. One beer was room temperature and the wings had no pepper on them. They were cooked properly but tasted kinda blah. If you're a pub and you serve warm beer and tasteless wings you may want to try other things. Second time I've been let down by these folks - there will not be a 3rd! If the meal was $25 you get a pass but it was $43 so expectations are a bit higher.
Good food in an off-the-tourist-track pub.
The food here is very good and the menu has great variety. The space is a little small so it's not ideal for large groups. Table service is a bit hit and miss. On several occasions I've had to wait long periods to pay after getting my bill. This is why I don't go in for lunch anymore on work days.
Awesome neighbourhood pub!
Service can be slow, but food is ok
Best Local Pub in Victoria!
Great quality and value. Tuna salad with Avocado, Pacific Salmon sandwich, carrot ginger soup all solid choices.
Outstanding and delightful.
Nice hidden gem of a pub, reminds you of being on a ship.
Quiet little pub, very charming; very friendly atmosphere. One of the best places in Victoria for wing night (Monday).
Very nice and friendly
Great place!
Good fare and staff
Love the cozy atmosphere. The staff are great. The food is great. It is our "neighbourhood pub". We have been coming here for years. Come here at least once a week.
English Pub
Lovely neighborhood pub. Menu is more extensive than regular pub, so that's a bonus. Service is great. Have been a few times and will return.
Great place to stop on Lochside to Beach drive bike route. Best chowder in town.
Happy Hour @Smugglers' Cove Pub has to be the best deal on the island! Delicious food, great selection of beers and wine, efficient and friendly staff. Did I mention the great Happy Hour prices? I'm happy.
Good food for a good price but the service needs some help
Standard.
Cozy Pub in caddy bay! Great staff and atmosphere. Filled with locals.
Wing Monday!
Nice pub Great atmosphere Won a $175 in pull Tabs.. Good food.
Quaint Pub with good service
My poutine was just okay. Small fries drowning in gravy. My friends' meals looked pretty good tho
Tucked away, intriguing layout
A great place for good coffee and delicious huge muffin top muffins!
Best eggs in town hands down.
Great Appies. Great beer.
Cozy deck, great service, good food.
This is my hubby's favorite pub. The staff are friendly and the food is top notch. The outdoor patio is great on summer evenings.
Great local pub. Good value. Nice pub setting.
Nice place but wings and ribs are too salty.
One of the few remaining places in Victoria where you can still find excellent pub-style food. Definitely worth a visit. The beer is good too.
Awesome little treasure tucked away in cadboro bay. Steps from one of Victoria's nicer beaches (gyro). It is a warm wooden design interior with delicious Pub food, friendly staff, a cute patio area for warm nights. It makes the perfect after the beach spot!
Good food but we waited a long time for it.
Cozy place with great food and drink.
Great food and service, easy parking, covered patio
We had lunch here and it was good. My friend had the Curried lamb burger with French onion soup which she enjoyed immensely. I had the Tuscan salmon salad which was okay but the salad was supposed to contain feta cheese and it there was a few bits but could have been more plentiful. Salmon filet was fine but I would probably not order it again. Wine was a bit overpriced for house brand. Don't think we would rush back here.
Great sandwiches and tasty brews made for a nice lunch!
Very cosy pub with friendly staff, bartenders know their stuff and the food is surprisingly good for a pub. Also great if you wanna sit at the bar and mingle with the locals.
Decent food and service.
Great food and service
Small and quiet.
A true neighborhood pub.
This is my local pub comma and my wife and I go down there on a regular basis. The staff is outstanding the beer selection is quite large with a lot of local craft beer on tap. The food is large portions and usually quite good
I had the Seafood Alfredo. Would definitely recommend this dish. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. There was also a good selection of drinks. Great place to catch up with friends.
Great beer good food!
One of the best local pubs in Victoria. Great selection of beer and food. Cosy and rich. Nice bar. Good folk.
Tasty food and cozy environment :)
The food is good. Staff is pretty friendly. The first time I came here I had a Reuben, which was tasty. No Russian dressing, like a classic Reuben, but it had a good, hot, sweat through your eyeballs, mustard...can't be mad at that... The second was a French dip, which was again, good, but the bread was a little too soft. Protip: get onions and peppers on it and turn it into a sweet Italian Beef. FYI do not order a dessert here alone, this is a battle you will not win, mes amis.
Cozy. Good food, beer, and service. Some of the tables are a bit close, not much elbow room.
Lovely
Excellent pub food with a great atmosphere!
First time back in 4yrs and its still a great spot.
Our walking group likes to go to this pub.
Had a delicious salmon burger Maple chili burger sauce. 9.9 on scale of ten. Mmmmmmmgood
Good fun! Great wings!
Good pub fare.
Tucked away pub with decent food and a pleasant setting.
Great beer selection and really good pubs fare and a fresh sheet that doesn't disappoint.
Best fish and chips I've ever had.
Friendly and quaint
Great location and neat layout. They have an excellent selection of local craft beers, including a rotating tap! The food is decent pub fare. Looks like the balcony would have a nice view in the summer.
We went during Victoria's annual Dine Around promotion, which gives you a chance to try a fixed price menu at a nice price, but doesn't really show them off at their best. The place was packed, but service was friendly, if a bit slow. It's a quite small neighborhood pub; a good selection of draft beer at what I considered reasonable prices. Menu had the normal burgers and other pub food - there was enough there that we'd go back
really great spot. good basic pub food. fresh beers, friendly staff.
Amazingly friendly staff, and great food.
Good food.
Excellent food and drinks
Good selection of local and national beers. Food is very good. Atmosphere is nice. Sticky toffee pudding here is probably the best thing I've ever tasted in my whole life
Service was very good. We loved our french onion soup but the wings were tasting like old frying oil.
Cute little pub
Walked in and was pleasantly welcomed and had a pint in my hand within minutes. Ordered the Halibut and Chips which I washed down with another local pint. Food was honest and tasty and worth returning for. Amostphere was relaxed and not too loud which is exactly what your looking for in an early dinner. Very nice.
Great food quiet atmosphere.
Decent tap selection
I've been a few times and the service is always pretty slow despite it never being too busy. The food is good, but expensive considering it is pub food. Their beer selection is about what you would expect to find at a restaurant, but is on the smaller side for a pub. Besides that, it has a cosy atmosphere, and the staff are pretty friendly.
The food was okay pub food. My quesadilla was very greasy and they forgot the sour cream and salsa that was suppose to come with it.
Cozy neighborhood pub. Very accommodating and the staff are very friendly! It's not a very big place so I can see it getting full at times. Food was great, classic pub style.
never been disappointed there
A great spot for a warm or cold drink after a walk at Cadboro Bay Beach. We didn't have time to eat but the food looked like pretty tasty pub food.
Best food. Skip ferry food go here. You won't be sorry
Expensive. Bizzare, pushy service. Take my order, dont tell me what I want.
Good food, pleasant staff
Caddy Bay drinking hole, good food and drink.
Best pub in town, I'm one of the supposed obnoxious loud regulars the previous reviewer referred to. But then again, how credible can he be when he's posing as a customer and yet he is actually a former terrible cook of the kitchen who got canned and now he's slandering out of immature rage... The staff is amazing, the food is great, the atmosphere is what you want in a pub, so if you're in the area come check out the cove and if not... take a bus?
Delicious mains, drinks, and great service. I'd recommend the tuna sandwich. Kid friendly and reasonable prices. -The Sunday Dunkers
Great Pub in Cadboro Bay!
Dropped in for lunch had the sandwich of the day. Good portion, great service and nice pub atmosphere.
Great place to hang with friends, great food.
Russell Blood Alley and Hoyne Dark Matter on tap! Good food too.
(Translated) Chaos! (Original) 乱!
Nice friendly service, delicious food and just down the road from the beach.
We had the dining around Victoria $20 menu and it was good
Not the worst pub I've ever been to.
Friendly local pub with good food - only drawback being that it is an upstairs bar with only limited space (one table) downstairs for those with mobility difficulties
Delicious food for a remarkable price. Nice atmosphere. Call ahead if taking young ones.
Great pub near University of Victoria! Open until late. Had the best hallibat burger with gluten free buns. great service as well.
Nice English style pin with good beer and alright food. Good place to go grab a pint and relax
Great staff and vibe - Michelle’s the best ????????♂️
It has been our fav pub for many years! We ordered calamari to start and it was pitiful! Very disappointed; rubbery and very small portion. I get it. Covid has made us to pay more for dinning out but as customers we pay more and have got less! The main meals are good ... thank god! Services are always good. We will still come back to support locals but probably won't bother with any appys. On the Covid safety measures, I think the owner has done well: one way traffic, servers are masked, table distancing, patios seatings and more tables downstairs, especially given the small space they have to work with.
This is a must go to pub. Great food,Great service,Great place
Fairly pricey, but you can't beat the outdoor patio and its proximity to the beach!
needed a late afternoon meal and these guys exceeded expectations. Had a fish wrap that was awesome, great salad and service was fast
Average pub food. I have had the nachos, they were cheesy and decent enough for a pub but nothing special.
Good service, better wings.
Ohhhh snap!
I was passing through town and just wanted a burger and beer. Saw a pub, perfect. They had a contact tracing book which was good. I believe the best way to judge a pub's food is to order a burger. If you can't do that right, the rest of the menu will probably be lacking as well. Their naked burger is $14, after adding cheese and bacon (standard) it's $18. All pints of beer are $8. The burger, on first bite, was immediately recognized as processed, bought in patties. The chemical preservatives are very noticeable when a patty isn't made in house. The second bite and the bun overflowed with mayonnaise. The fries were good but very salty. Overall, it's a pub and the service was fine. But for the prices, the quality needs to step up substantially. I wouldn't go back without trying every other place in the neighborhood first. That's a shame.
Good food, cozy atmosphere.
Food is for the majority atrocious. Chicken strips were of below average frozen variety and the chicken burger was flavourless and served on a stale bun. Beautifully located in Cadboro Bay, but it is a waste of a meal that is better spent elsewhere (for both flavour and value).
Cosy with a good selection of reasonably priced food
What a great place. Chicken tenders excellent, Greek salad excellent, staff excellent. Swift service and great beers!!
Small and cozy, lots of regulars - patio is great in the Summer
Great pub with a British theme. Does get too crowded for the type of restaurant it is and for seniors.
Service is slow on the weekend. Place was packed. The deck is nice. But the food is average. Suggest sticking to the appitisers.
Delicious food and a great selection of beers. I will most definitely be coming back.
Great food. Cozy spot
Could use a facelift. Kinda dull interior. Drab. More importantly, drinks and service are good.
I ordered takeout and my specially designed hamburger arrived hot and the Chowder was warm and flavorful. The service was one for when I arrive to pick up my order and everything in the order was correct. I am eager to experience in in-house dining when I have more time but as a student it is nice to have a place for quick takeout.
E L D E R F L O W E R EM P R E S S G & T Sheringham Gin with Cucumber G & T Cocktails were heavy on ice and tasted only 1oz. Chicken Burger and Cove burger were delicious. Other 3 tables were getting nachos. Definitely will be back again to try the nachos.
Good local watering hole.
Great little pub
Weird physical space, great pub food, inattentive staff...
Quick dinner as it was my night to "cook". Also wing night. The food was good, Mikayla took excellent care of us.
Was nice ! Sat upstairs. Had a cove burger and a beer, and shared it with someone else. Was pretty big and tasty.
Popped in on a rainy Saturday afternoon and were lucky to get a seat. This place was fairly busy and the waitstaff were going non-stop working very hard. Service remained good and the food was great! We will come here again on another visit to Victoria.
I am surprised by some of the less positive reviews. Smugglers was my local through University and for a decade afterwards. The food is dependable. I strongly recommend the wings. There is a good selection of drinks and the atmosphere is friendly. It is not a high end restaurant. It does not try to be. What it is is a great little pub.
Cool little hole-in-the-wall with amazing comfort food. We'll definitely return.
Really great atmosphere
Sandwiches are something to write home about. Patio is wanting some sunshine
great atmosphere
Restaurant atmospheres just aren't the same during covid but I could imagine this pub would be good in a normal life setting. Are waitress was good and friendly service. I wasn't a fan of how greasy the fish was in my meal I think you need to let sit a little longer before putting it on the plate. Ceasar salad was good garlicky and creamy. Will definitely return.
Had a good meal but would have lived air conditioning
A tasty meal made even better by our server Michelle who makes sure we get great service and something to laugh about???? each and every time... She's the best!!!
Super fast service, great staff and high quality food! BUT it can get pretty noisy during sports seasons and it can get chilly during the winter. I’m looking forward to summer to test it out again and hopefully enjoy a better time with less sports fans yelling loud enough to not hear someone sitting across from me on a separate lower floor by the main door during freezing cold temperatures...
I want to be has positive as I can so will start with yesterday Sunday, I'm going give a positive ,it was very busy as there was a Japanese older car event at gyro park just down from the pub. I didn't know this event was on or would have gone elsewhere. According to the girls serving there were only 2 servers to manage inside and the patio, it was a hot day so the patio was busy. It is possible that another server was sick but would have thought there should have been a total of 4 servers there. We go there because it's close to home and for driving reasons. So back to my story, I arrived on the patio and went to a table that was free but hadn't been cleaned in fact the credit cd machine was on the table, 15min later a server ask if the glasses on the table we're mine I said no. A few mins later she cleaned the table went away and came back, she asked what I wanted to drink I told her a beer, she went away and a few minutes later she brought me a beer, I would think at this point she would have asked if I knew what I wanted to eat but no she moved to a different table to ask what they wanted (they came about 5 min after me)they he other server came out and took orders from 2 other tables who came in about 10min after me,they hehe they took payments from other tables who were waiting for her to bring machine which was sitting on fixture in front of us. I waited for everyone to get served and payments out of the way which total 35 mins figuring I would get my order for food but not to be,I approached my server inside and said I have been here for 35 min and haven't been looked after for food, I was upset with no service and told her this ,she said would you like to order now or not ,I said no but wanted to pay for my beer and proceeded to sit down at my table, she came out and told me I was free to go and didn't have to pay. We have had food problems before and complained to management they gave us gift certificate for our complaint, We try to support the pub because it's local and again close to home but I think something should be done about staffing, food quality. So yesterday was the last straw for me,by the way I went to another pub and was looked after within 30 secs and finished my meal in 30 mins.
Nice pub has lots of charactor.
This is a very small pub, and it's the only one in the Cadboro Bay area. The wings are awesome, although some of the other food items I've ordered were actually rather poor. They have a small on-tap selection, but it is a good place to hang out if you enjoy pubs.
Cool place that is very popular with the locals. There are only 2 tables that kids can sit at and they are downstairs on their own which isn't great. Also, never saw any smugglers there...
Really good selection of beers on tap.
The food was fairly good. The portions were small. The beer was nice. The atmosphere was great. The service was fast but weirdly and inappropriately snooty. I was glad that we went as I hadn't been since college but I won't go again. Unfortunately not worth the trip.
This is a cozy little place. Good food and a nice selection of local craft beer.
It's ok. The pub is dark and a bit gloomy. I had the veggie burger and onion rings. The veggie burger patty did not appear to be made in house - it was blah. The onion rings were great - hot, thin coating, crispy.
Fun
Good place for a business lunch.
A friend and I went there for a quick bite. We each had a Halibut Fish n Chips & Steak n Mushroom Pie. Yum! Fresh cut fries, home made pie! The only thing is the oil could be a little fresher!
Quiet place, good food and drinks
Great pub to grab a burger and a pint of local brew! In the summer the patio is the best place to eat in Cadboro Bay.
If you are in the Cadboro Bay area it is the local walk to pub. Beer is fine, staff very nice, but food is not very good...sad
I recently went to Smuggler's Cove for wings night with friends. I had though that it was going to be a relatively large space, but when you go upstairs to the pub you find a fairly small space that has a generous, if somewhat cramped, patio. Most of us ordered wings, which were worth the $5/lb we paid and not a penny more. While they were individually small, which wasn't particularly surprising given the price, they were also incredibly dry, which was a bit surprising and disappointing. I had dry-rubbed wings, and the rub was relatively tasteless and failed to really convey the flavour of dried red-pepper and garlic. My companions, who purchased wings that had sauce-based flavouring, enjoyed their wings more than I, though their wings were also dry. The moisture of the (unevenly distributed) sauce helped to offset some of the dryness. Smugglers has a modest beer selection, and they actually ran out of their special beer of the day just after we ordered our first pitcher. Nothing on their beer menu was unique; you can get the same (or better!) fare almost anywhere in the city. Will I return to Smuggler's Cove again? Maybe. When the graduate lounge at UVic is on 'regular' hours again I suspect that it will be my default pub, and Smuggler's will be last-ditch there-is-no-other-place-as-convieniant-and-nearby backup. If you can go somewhere else, conveniently, then do so. If you can't then bring good company and try not to focus on the food.
Nice pub. Good service. Food was ok.
Food was decent, but atmosphere was homey and friendly! Appetizers on the table were chicken tenders (not worth it, very few), calimari (very worth it), and perogies (extremely worth it, very generous quantities and delicious). I had the salmon with pasta for a main course and found the salmon perfect but the pasta to be overly buttery and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Shared chowder with a friend and it was a little flavorless compared to chowders at Ferris' Grill and Red Fish Blue Fish. Her seafood pasta was also far better than my own dish - would recommend that over the salmon entree.
Great beer and wonderful service. Covid protocols are set up and tables spaced out properly.
Great spot for a beer.
Decent food and a cute local pub. Parking lot is on the smaller side (no street parking in the immediate vicinity) and you'd have to get there early to get a seat on the patio on a nice day. A bit dark on the inside but that's authentic to some :)
Nice, cozy neighborhood pub with great food.
Their fish and chips are on point, their sandwiches are delicious, and their salmon excellent. As a matter of fact, I don't think I was ever disappointed with a meal there, plus the beer selection is quite nice.
Wings were ok. The mussels were great. The dismissive attitude of the waitress was annoying.
Good food, great service. Would go back
Nice local hang out
Good food, cozy atmosphere
Good cozy place nice local beer selection!
Do not go! please leave it to the locals. It is great but the building is not conducive to social distancing. Doing it by the book for safety, they're creative with a couple tables set up outside the entrance. No idea where smokers go but who can afford that anyway? Wee patio upstairs outside n tables inside. Again, making the most of what they've got. Shhhhh it's able to look after the locals
Service was spotty. Might have been an off night.
Cozy, comfortable and friendly. All you can ask for a neighbourhood pub!
Good food, friendly staff and it doesn't seem to be a dead zone for cell service anymore (a pro for some people and a con for others I imagine).
Decent pub near the ocean, beach, and the university. They have a small outdoor seating area, while the view isn't the greatest from there, it's still nice to soak up the rays. The food is classic pub style, the service is good and friendly, the drinks selection is great. A small but cozy seating area. Can get loud during game nights.
Pleasant place, good atmosphere and great location
Excellent food and service!
Smuggler's Cove has one of the best Reubens I've had in over 20 years although the service was a little slow that could have been due to the busy atmosphere. Will definitely go back again when in the area!
very crowded
It was a nice pub with great food and drinks, and the server was so quick, it was almost surprising. The area is amazing too, I recommend it for sure.
Good ambiance and food. The service was very fast. The baked salmon burger was excellent, but our beef and mushroom burger had mushrooms that's were a bit over done. Overall we will probably return.
Love this place. Beers after beach walks.
Dated
Great food, very friendly staff perfect location .Background music is not loud so you can actually have a conversation with others.
It has a lovely lovely atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and the food is good, especially the Cove burger and Cobb salad ????
We are at Smugg Pub right now, our first time out since COVID-19. All I can say is, I love this place. What a great neighbourhood pub. We are sitting at a live edge bar height table that a local pubgoer made. We are eating our favourite comfort Smugg Pub food (for us that’s a plate of chicken strips and fries paired with a glass of Malbec, a beer for my hubby, and a Greek salad). They have an excellent COVID-19 set up and wonderful staff, not to mention it’s cozy atmosphere and great deck.
Best French onion soup
Cozy atmosphere and great wings!
Good food, average prices. The patio is very nice in the summer. Both flavours of mussels are great. The inside of the pub is quite dark and crowded, however. It's a great place to go for a casual drink with one person, or with a small group for lunch on the patio on the warm day. It is very close to the beach and has a lot of parking for a restaurant in Victoria. However, the tables are small and set very closely together, so I would not recommend coming here with a group! I tried to have dinner with my boyfriend's parents here and we were uncomfortably squished in. I've been about three or four times. The service has been alright, but not exceptional.
Awful food.
I loved the pet-friendly seating outside. Staff was nice and quick to get our drinks and food. I don't eat out much, but I'm willing to pay good money for good food. I was not happy to pay $20 for a bacon cheeseburger that had a frozen, unseasoned patty. The Cove Beef Burger should be a signature dish at the pub, not a frozen mess with fishy, raw onion rings. The server was more interested in telling me how it's not her fault than in listening to the feedback. Otherwise, the location and atmosphere are beautiful. Would go again and get the Reuben my friend really enjoyed.
We went to Smuggler's Cove with friends last Wednesday evening for their 'wing night'. We really enjoy wings and frequently go out to a pub when they're on special. Unfortunate, we were disappointed for a couple of reasons. Two of us ordered 'blue boys' .They were fresh, but unfortunately rather tasteless. Two others of our group ordered salt and pepper and fared a bit better, but even those were light on seasoning. We usually order a couple sides of celery and carrot sticks, but we were told that they didn't offer them. Most other pubs we've visited have them. Smuggle's Cove is not a large establishment, and so it's best to visit either before or after the dinner hours (6:00 - 7:30pm.). The price was very reasonable (half-price for wings) and table service good.
Cozy place for a couple of pints
Great food. Quite noisy. Great staff
Had a nice Pint of Guinness.
Reasonable price, nice atmosphere, dishes, staff
Best pub. Great location and even better staff
Excellent small pub with a homely atmosphere. Good selection of draft ales and pretty good service. For food try either the steak and kidney pie with fries or the steak and mushroom pie with fries. They are both absolutely first class. Each time we visit Victoria a trip to the Smugglers Cove is a must just for the steak pie and fries. Worst part of a visit is trying to decide steak and kidney or steak and mushroom.
Friendly people. Great fish and chips.
It's OK, close to UVic
Great everything
Not a bad little spot!
Great atmosphere
Great vibe good food
Great feel.
Beautiful scenery and great service
A comfort in the rain. Genuine friendly staff, great food and the a friendly chatty bar to sit at. The closest thing to a proper English pub we've seen so far!
Cozy little place. Standard pub food. Kind of a sports bar feel with lots of TVs all around.
Fish and chips done well, light batter and home made chips.
An average pub with mediocre food. Beer on tap was awesome.
We had a very nice meal this afternoon,, the Halibut was excellent,, great service also, will be back for sure ????????
Delicious
Excellent staff, friendly and inviting!
Cosy little neighbourhood pub. Great food, great service.
Nice enough service. But had a hard time sending back burnt nachos. And second plate that came out came very soggy on the inside and with half the cheese. And extremely limited vegetarian options.
Good food and good service
Salmon burger. Period and full stop. That's that ideal real wild Salmon item to choose on the menu.
Good pub food excellent service.
Giod atmosphere and food
Pretty average pub. Most of the reason for the 5 stars is nostalgia: this was my local pub for 5 years while I was at the university.
Wonderful as always!
(Translated) Very cozy bar! (Original) 很溫馨的酒吧!
The staff are a great group of people and the service the same.
Had a great bottle of red wine with my friends in here.
Staff are super friendly, the price is reasonable, atmosphere is good.
Great local pub that I can bring the kids to
Very good to s party of four. We had a very nice soiree. Fast meal. Cheers Juan Aravena
Best pub service in the city.
Food is great but they should train waitress's not to flirt with other people's husband's or hit on them it's rude.
Nice place.. ordered oysters broth very salty , a disappointment. Server Graciously took it off our bill..???? Will try it again, patio seating nice..
Good pub food and great service! Always my go to when I'm in the area.
Ok service. Ok food. It's a pub.
Very nice and good food We came all the way from Ontario for an mushroom melt
Great food and fantastic service
Food is mediocre especially the salads, but it's the best option in the area and really quite nice.
Wonderful British themed pub near the Cadboro beach and park. I had the fish and chips and it was excellent.
Quaint little pub. A little pricey but they have actual Guiness on tap
Ok beer prices. Place hasn't changed in forever. Good fri s and nachos.
Authentic English fish and chips! Decent HH wine. Shrub was good. Fish chowder was a hit. Enjoyed everything and great neighborhood ambiance
Slow service - waited 1.5 hrs for food without any water. Mojito tasted like lime water. Food tasted like they were sitting out for a long time with fries with the consistency of a melted icecream sandwich and dried up pasta. Staff never came by to check during that 1.5 hr wait. My friend waited an additional half an hour for his food.
Nice atmosphere, good pub food, and my server was super attentive and friendly!
Really good pub food. Not big on ambiance, but hey the food is great.
Great, comfy, busy. Happy little pub. Good food.
Great atmosphere, delicious food!
Great but you have to search it out
Try the yam fries. So crispy, so delish
standerd pub, nice location
Great lunch. Fantastic atmosphere.
Oct 30th. Arrived at 12:00, ordered at 12:30. 1:21, no food! No acknowledgment. One waitress and one very scary hostess in a brown dress that looks at you with daggers in her eyes that could murder. Feels like an early Halloween
Good food, good patio
Best Beef Dips in Victoria!
The food has improved spectacularly
Great pub food and beers on tap, friendly service, heated outdoor patio dining
The food was lovely and there Guinness was great. Plus they have parking
(Translated) Cozyness (Original) 아늑함
awesome staff great light lunch affordable cheers
great lunch .seafood chowder best I've ever had
Nice pub, nice beers
Went here again and the food was really good but the service is bad. It feels like your at a circus and everyone has there heads cut off and has no clue what there doing. We had this young tall girl as our server and she was really ditsy. Along with that the bar is always packed with old ppl playing keno or a bunch of young abnoxiose guys yelling and screaming. We were there one night and the really loud one said he worked there in the kitchen he introduced himself as Jared while having a smoke downstairs defiantly unprofessional if you ask me get that intoxicated at your own place of work. Almost impossible to get a drink and other then one or two cute servers the rest look ready for retirement.
Comfortable atmosphere, some nice beer on tap, pretty good food.
Nice quiet place good food close to the beach and the many great little shops in the village beautiful building and staff .
Good covid protocol in place. Our wait person seemed a little rushed serving us
Neat "Old" spot, great food and service.
Everything is good except that it is upstairs. It would limit access for some.
Best ceasar salad in town get it with 2 lemons to spice up your day!!
Reasonable.
The food was good but the service was not great. The pub was nearly empty, and we sat down for a quick bite to eat after the ocean dip. The server that we had, long haired brunette, in a black and floral dress, kicked us out because the person I was with was loud. She said I could stay, but I feel as a server you should be used to loud people. You need to be more tolerant especially with slow business.
Great burger! Friendly and cozy.
Good food good prices and very nice staff
I was there years ago. My wife and I thought we go and give it a try. First of all the advertise there beer special as $5.50 for Canadian but when you get the bill they add on liquor tax and liquor gst to it. Our food came and I had 2 piece halibut and chips, well the fish was soooooo small, not kidding here I ate each piece in 3 bites and the chips were so over cooked......cost $22 I left hungry and stopped at mcds for a chicken burger. WILL NEVER GO BACK!!
Delicious Cobb salad
Cozy pub and patio
My favorite place to go for a pint when I'm in Victoria. Really good food. Great servers! Very friendly people in general.
Great food, found it a little noisy
