We went out during the ridiculous heat wave of 21 and they were beyond great! Drinks were delicious, food was amazing. And they had a wonderful patio with umbrellas for (almost) every table! The only "issue" we had was that our waitress was very nice and personable but we had to wait a pretty long time between ordering our first and second rounds of drinks. Which we attributed to the very busy time of day!

Food and service are always on point. Well run brewpub, standard menu is great, event menus are always superb. Hard to beat the patio location in the weather Victoria weather. This huge venue is a safe bet when you're feeling like it'll be hard to find a table anywhere in town on a busy night.

I almost literally never write reviews but I thought I'd share my feedback. Been here several times before and always had a good experience. Good beer, food staff etc But I came the other day (alone) and had maybe the weirdest restaurant experience of my life. The host was great and we made jokes/small talk when she sat me. No complaints there. Server came and took my drink order , different server brought my beer. All good so far. But then my server just ..literally never came back. No quality check. Did not drop off any water. And never even came back to see if I wanted food. Which I was planning on doing. I've never had a sever not ask if I wanted to eat before. After finishing my beer I sat and waited a few minutes and they did notice I was empty. I ordered another just to see if maybe that would prompt them to ask if I needed anything else. Still nothing. Beer was dropped off and again no contact with the server again. Just...an odd experience. Still giving 4 stars because every other time has been great

Amazing patio! absolutely awesome in the sun. Staff got us an indoor table while we waited for our patio seats, made the wait go by very quick as we were able to have a drink from the bar first. Food was great, location was good. Parking around the one side which is helpful if you drive in.

Been here a few times w/mates for beers. Lunch & dinner - every time the bartenders & servers are polite, professional in manner and appearance and always have a good recommendation on what’s fresh. Good spot to get away from tourist traffic ???? Recommendation: Alberta Wagyu & Seasonal Beer on tap ???? ????

it was pretty awsum ! Went with my daughter and her friend , we got some mussels , deep-fried squid and deep-fried cauliflower , with a couple drinks ... made for a fun afternoon hangout on their patio which has a beautiful vibe and scenery. Staff was accommodating and moved us from our table to one that had more sunshine at that time .. totally appreciated !

Great beer and crispy chicken salad. I had the poke bowl...it was okay...but mostly rice. Unfortunately the seafood chowder lacked in taste and thickness. The foccacia bread was just toast.

One of the best pountines I've had in a long time! The fries were still crispy and it had the perfect amount of gravy and cheese curds. The waiter was super friendly and helpful in finding out if the gravy was gluten free or not despite initially not knowing the answer - it is! Great atmosphere despite a pandemic, and virtual menus by scanning a QR code were a great idea too!

Great patio and happy hour! My husband enjoyed the in-house brews and the patio is fabulous. Quiet and not too crowded for the Covid changes. A great place to sit back, have a drink and look out at the inner harbor.

Love the place but unfortunately, I had the most disappointing mocktail ever. Server sold me a virgin watermelon margarita and I was served a glass of ice cubes with a sip of liquid. Like that's going to go far! Super uber pricey too! There should be a wee bit of an effort in this day and age to accomodate DD and the such.

I almost feel silly to admit that this is my first time at Canoes. I asked the waitress how long have you guys been here ? She informed me about 20 years . LOL never had a clue . I've been here in the area I've even heard about canoe but I never peace it together till today . Boy am I glad I did the food is delicious . The beers on tap that they brew in house are fantastic . The lunch specials are awesome .the decor and views and decks are unbelievable . But the staff are some of the finest and nicest people you'll ever meet , The waitress I had was awesome she even took time out of her busy schedule to make sure I was comfortable explaining the place explain the different menus and explain the drinks and what they're trying to accomplish fantastic time . This is definitely going to be a go to for us . Don't take my word , come down check it out and see if I'm right I know you won't be disappointed I wasn't

Food was delicious.... however, we felt our waitress was disrespectful to our table. We caught her several times rolling her eyes at us and really felt that she did not want to be waiting on our table. It is unfortunate but unlikely that we will ever go back.

Patio was great! Nice atmosphere and fantastic location. But, the food was mediocre at best, and the portions were laughably small. I'd go back for a beer for sure, but would definitely eat elsewhere.

We had a really nice outdoor table. Tried the canoe burger, poke bowl and kids chicken tenders. The fries are delicious! IPA was traditional style and enjoyable. House red wine was good also. Service was personable and efficient. We will return!

Great patio with nice cocktails and bites. They do the social patio-pub thing as well as you'd really want it. Plenty of seating and they do have a section that's dog friendly (but I recommend calling and asking). Highly recommend the fries and the real watermelon margarita.

OUTSIDE on patio the ambience is excellent. We had great service and food and enjoyed the watermelon margarita immensely. Our server was very busy! 2 years ago INSIDE: A bit noisy and echoey, but the food was good. Not really a good place for a date if you sit inside and you want to talk.

At 65.00 a plate for New years, No music , early covid curfew , I was skeptical. But the food was delicious and the waiter very personable. The room was aglow with lights from the chandelier and the huge Christmas tree and reflecting off the windows. It was worth the money and felt like a perfect evening out.

Really enjoyable experience with a great view and delicious food/drinks. One standout server was Spencer, who gave awesome recommendations and was hilarious. Definitely a comfortable spot for all types of gatherings without any pressure. Thoroughly enjoyable. One note is that if you go make sure to bring extra layers if you plan to stay into the evening. They have fireplaces but no heaters for the tables not lining the perimeter. It's one of those issues thats more mother nature than anything.

This place has a beautiful patio outside with an amazing view. I was a bit disappointed when I got the order wrong. Especially when I was very specific that I was allergic to cheese. I will definitely give them another try. Great service and great atmosphere.

Worse service ever. And the place wasn’t even packed! The order was pretty clear and simple, but the waitress forgot 75% of our order and we ended up waiting for about an hour before we got the burger, the cesar salad and the fried cauliflowers...so disappointing. Also, they gave a side salad when we clearly asked for the full one and they added a side of pork belly (at a charge) when we asked for the (included) bacon ON THE SIDE. We just decided to skip this rather than wait another hour for having the second burger. Won’t be back here!

Had a group of people there for my birthday under a reservation. The manager (male) was very lenient with us mingling together upstairs. However, when we all got there we were seated downstairs and separated in groups. Each time I tried to talk to my own boyfriend the server would snap at us and were so unprofessional about it. I don’t think there was any communication between the manager and staff on what we should be doing and what the regulations are. I will say on a positive note that the bartending staff was amazing and our server Carter killed it!! He was so sweet and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. Communication deffinetly needed to happen between the managers and staff as it made for a stressful birthday.

Delicious! My girlfriend treated me to the Canoe Brewpub for lunch. And what a treat! Our mussels were in a very tasty cream sauce, good thing there was a spoon, we got every last drop. The salmon flatbread topped with pickled red onions was a delight. Wonderful food accompanied with amazing service made for an exceptional lunch experience. Thank you.

Wonderful greetings on arrival. Service was prompt and fun. Enjoyed the size of the individual muscles was huge. Chicken sliders are the best only place I would ever order them. Played backgammon on the table that we brought with us and enjoyed our time there for 3 hours definitely be back.

Since moving to the Victoria area 3 years ago, Canoe has become my absolute favourite place to go. I’ve been to 3/4 of the restaurants, pubs, and craft breweries in the greater Victoria area, and this place comes on top for me. Any family members, or friends who come visit, I ALWAYS take them here and they are never let down by the hype I bring up about it before. The building couldn’t be any cooler or more beautiful, old brick with lots of history, the staff have gone above and beyond and I don’t say that lightly. They have fantastic beer that they brew on location (I’m a beer nut), and the food is amazing and constantly fantastic. You can literally order anything in the menu and have a 99% chance it’s going to be amazing. A must if you like historical architecture, delicious beer, and tasty inspiring food.

Was heading to a different place for fish and chips when we saw the waitress bring a serving of fish and chips to a table. My wife and I at the same time said yup let's try this place. The service was fantastic as it was sunny and packed. Food was great and the craft beer hit the spot. Loved the atmosphere

NOT Bike friendly. They ask you to put your bike in a corner but offer no lock. Lots of room of to accommodate, but their response, "You can have Covid on your wheels". So we went to Lido down the street and it was awesome.

I am giving 2 stars because the patio was beautiful and our server was very nice. However, I ordered the chicken sandwich today and after a few bites in I realized something didn't taste right. I cut my sandwich open and half and saw that the chicken was completely raw. This was not undercooked. This was raw chicken. When the manager came over and apologized he said "the chef is new", I don't understand how any person who cooks could serve meat that looks like it didn't even touch the grill. I recommend anyone who orders chicken from this restaurant to cut into it before you eat it because you might get unlucky like i did!

Great selection of in house and local brews and delicious food. Unfortunately it is being rebranded as Craft Brewhouse. Hopefully they won't kill the local vibe and turn it into a souless chain.

Tried CANOE for the first time yesterday. I must say we had an amazing meal. We went for happy hour and sat on the patio. We shared the calamari, mussels, and wings. I must say they have the best calamari I have had in a very long time. The green thai curry mussels were also a hit. The only thing that would of made the muscles better was having a gluten free bread option for the muscles. I gave 4 stars because we ordered the mussels without the bread on top. Somehow they mixed the order and brought out hummus with a side of the toast, which we did not order. They took the hummus back and later brought out the mussels. We Didn't realize that they also charged us for the hummus, until after we paid. Not a huge deal but the small details make my experiences a 5 star experience.

What a nice place and the parking was easy, with a park pass from the hostess. We had to wait for a table but no problem. We ordered 3 happy hour food plates and of course, the daily draft. The staff were absolutely excellent. The patio atmoshere was a sunny fall day, well spaced, with comfortable chairs. Definitely will return.

I showed up unannounced with 8 other people for my birthday and they were booked. After explaining to my family outside and trying to put a new plan together, one of the staff rushed out to say they would find a way to accommodate. We were all so happy! The staff was great and the food was well prepared and flavorful. This is the second time ive been recently, and I will for sure be back!

Nice patio, but the food left something to be desired. Ordered Cesar salad with salmon. Cesar was overly drenched in dressing and the salmon was a really small piece that tasted fishy and not fresh. Normally wouldn’t write a bad review, but often find the food meh and service average...

We had a really nice time, with great atmosphere and good service. We asked for recommendations on the menu and one was the beet salad with the added salmon or chicken. This sounded great but was weary as the salad was 17$ with another 8$ charge for the salmon. I decided to try it. Upon its arrival, I was sadly disappointing by the cost because the salmon "piece" was MAYBE 2 oz. It was tiny. We're on the coast so I expected more. For 8 dollars, I would expect a decent enough piece of protein to make this salad a meal. I spent 25$ on a meal to have to stop at a 7-11 for snacks shortly after we left. Pretty disappointed. I'd likely choose something else next time we visit that can guarantee a bigger bang for my buck.

I came here about a year ago with my father a couple times and the food and service was wonderful! However, when I went to canoe club yesterday the service was very poor - our designated waiter forgot our table in an almost empty indoor pub and so after some time a different waiter took over. In addition to this, the waiter who cleared our table while we were chatting had food stuffed in his mouth so when he tried to ask if he could clear our plates he could not speak because his mouth was full. The price was tolerable a year ago because of the excellent service provided. However, yesterday's experience was quite disappointing.

Pleasent place, i didn't eat there but my boyfriend loved the muscles. Good selection of alcohol and the menu wasn't bad. I will say that they have icons for Gluten free and seafood I'm assuming locally caught and then they had VG couldnt tell you if that meant vegetarian or vegan as the menu didn't specify. I think it should be mandatory to have a legend section. Also the bathrooms should be monitored for one person in because the are very small. Other then that our server was super friendly, the music wasn't to loud and its a cool looking place.

Have been here our last four visits to Victoria. Outstanding patio seating and an even more interesting heritage building. Oh, and the beer! Brewed on premise , I have always been happy with their recipes and consistency- I've enjoyed all of their seasonal and regular brews, year after year. Lots of awesome food items, but personally I find the pizzas absolutely outstanding!

While the appetizers was great and flavourful, the rest of our dinner was super lack luster for the 4 of us, to keep this short I'll make my points short: Pros; -good appetizers, lamb accinani and clams were great but while the sauce for the clams were runny -good drinks, IPA, coffee and ceaser was super, more beer selection would be preferable -main burger dish was excellent and the dish layout was thoughtful and interesting Cons; -ignored during service, the most outrageous part of our experience is while we were explaining how the food tasted, we were completely ignored, this require correcting and proper training on waiters on how to listen to customers. Also how does a waiter count 5 people when there's 4 of us and then served 3 menus only? -no French bread, how does a restaurant that serves clam not have baguette??? And the only option for wheat based sauce plate scooping is toast... this isn't England serving plate this is French. -red rock fish fish and chips, while the chips were great, everything else sucked, the badder used in the fish was still raw for the 3 of us, that was 6 pieces of fish still raw and not crispy at all, also the fish was still soggy when served, I would have a better experience at a Joey's franchise, coleslaw was fake and looked like sour crout and tasted like it too. -bigger tables, for those interested parties of 4, don't go here, tables are small when getting more than one appetizers with multiple plates, and it's almost impossible to manage -better music, while the music selection wasn't outright bad, a jazz playlist would be more appropriate. -no ling cod, we originally requested a ling cod but then told 5 minutes later that there was no ling cod.

Great place to eat! We had our pup with us and they seated us in the dog friendly section on the patio. And we were able to have our pup under the table with us. The Caesar’s were yummy. And the chimmichurri wings were wonderful. Must try place for drinks and food with a fun vibe

I've dined here a couple of times. On both occasions the food has been good quality and with a restaurant as large as this I imagine this is consistently the case. Nice outdoor patio especially in the sun. Service can be a little slow at times.

Really great food and huge patio. There is usually a long wait, but they have a texting service to let you know your table is ready. Summertime waits are usually 45 mins for the patio, although it's usually faster. They have a good selection of beer as well!

It's a nice bar with a terrace near the water. If the temperature is chilly, they can provide you blankets to warm you up The staff is also very friendly. They have good crafted beer.

Always wonderful performers on live music nights, great specials everyday. A warm comforting staff with a happy attitude, many well made beverages by excellent bartenders, and a wide menu for all tastes. When the suns out their patio is definitely one of the best in town.

Went to Canoe today to attempt to enjoy a drink and food, called and was told on the phone that they were open until 11. To my dismay, however they were actually closed for beverage service at 10 according to public health code policy, but they continued to serve their close "service industry" friends that were ordering drinks well beyond 1030 PM. I am a little confused how the industry has continued to service drinks beyond COVID policy but telling customers over the phone that they do not. I was told on the phone by an employee Jo Jo and her supervising brunette overlooker that they were open until 11 and serving drinks and food until then. Upon arriving, I was told by the same 2 employees that I was not allowed to be served alcohol, however at the same time I witnessed them serving a group of their seated friends at 1040 PM but not a new group of customers that they did not know. If I were a health code officer I would not hesitate to investigate this establishment. I would however, hesitate to ever attend this establishment during their supposed COVID guidelines due to their lack of care and courtesy for guests and so-called rules, which apparently are only voided for other industry workers that they know closely and continue to serve.

Top notch all the way. Had the pale and the IPA. You don't see that many straight pales, but this one was really good. Sometimes they're a little ambery, but not this one. Similarly, the IPA was rock solid. Nice decor, and very roomy on a Tuesday afternoon. A pleasant gentleman asked me how I liked the beer, and he turned out to be the brewer, who is happy to chat.

Lovely food and drink. I had the salmon and gnocchi on the specials menu. Tasty locally brewed beer. I just came for the decor as it was beautiful and by the water. You can sit outside on the patio and they have heaters on if it’s cold.

Every time I come to canoe club I'm happy with the food. We come with our two boys four and six years old. They have a nice kids menu and helpful staff. The layout and space is generally good for family meals because there's lots of ambient noise.

Third visit, just as good as previous two. Shared plates of new seasonal offerings, very tasty. Beer and wine selection very good, and our server was friendly and knowledgeable, even about the history of the building. Unfortunately it was just a bit chilly for the patio, but we had a great view from the raised seating above the entrance.

Good food, good drinks and great patio. Service was the biggest let down. Despite there being plenty of staff and few tables it took forever to even get our order taken. Upon ordering a Moscow mule we were told we had to pay regular price as they were out of the Sunday special premade. Our food ended up coming before our drinks and came without cutlery which was disappointing on such a cold evening with no heater near by, after waiting I got up to ask one of four girls folding cutlery for some myself. At that point I asked to cancel my drink order however it still came and we were charged. Everyone was nice however I won’t be quick to come back.

Stopped in for a coffee and a Bushmills 10yr. Both were great and what made the stop even better was the view. It was a beautiful fall day and the sun was out. This is a great stop to meet up and enjoy some outdoor dining by the bay. The inside looked like a beautiful log cabin. I would definitely recommend for a date or meeting up with a group of friends.

We used to go to Canoe frequently even though we live near Sidney but due to Covid we had not visited the restaurant since early summer. Because of the "dine around Victoria" event we decided to return last night. Glad we did. Tables are well-spaced due to Covid and servers were all following the specified protocols. We felt quite safe. We opted for the $20 meal and chose the carrot-ginger soup, a burger and the churros for dessert. All were excellent and it was a very good deal. We might even return before "dine around Victoria" ends next month. Having spent a lot of time in Spain, the land of the churros where they are served with steaming melted chocolate, we were a bit disappointed when the churros arrived at our table with a caramel dipping sauce. One comment about this to the server brought an immediate reaction and he told us to wait for a minute. He rushed off and quickly returned with two small bowls of melted chocolate. This may seem like a small gesture but it made all the difference to our experience at Canoe. Excellent customer service by Spencer G. Thank you.

We went here last night on our girls weekend trip for a nice meal, our waitress Rachel was lovely and so was one of the bartenders Remi. However we were ignored for quite a while when we arrived and waited about 20 minutes for drinks even after flagging over another bartender. Who deliberately ignored us, not sure of his name though. Food was great as always though.

Really meant to snap a picture of the brew when it arrived, but it was so hot and after the first sip I gulped it to where you see it now... And I want to apologize, but I just cannot. It went down easy and smooth and refreshingly crisp. The outside patio was busy and the wait staff was zipping around looking a little harried, but the beers came quickly and while savoring them the food arrived at just the right time to order another round. Points for them, first appearances were misleading and the staff were effective and efficient. The only star taken away was the spilled beer under the table next to us that was attracting bees that set my son off a bit. Other than that everything was great.

Food was kind of mediocre, but beer was on point! We had the potato pizza (decent) and spaghetti and meatballs (blah! Don't recommend). We came because of the patio - but didn't know there wouldn't be any heaters! Be sure to dress warm! No blankets either because of Covid. We did love the beer though made in-house and bought a few bottles to bring home which sadly we've already finished :(

Canoe Brewpub, Victoria, BC. They have a spacious patio edged with flower beds, backing onto the water. Across the water lies West Victoria. It is busy! They serve 4 ounce flights of 4 or 6. My choices were: The White seasonal IPA This is lightly hopped, mild, but eminently sippable brew. The most flavoursome of the 4. The Belgian Wit has an almost sweet taste with a lot of fizz. The windward series Blood Orange Blonde is interesting. It has a v.mild grapefruit aftertaste and a soft, mild flavour. The West coast Ale is smooth and plain. An old fashioned ale. Awesome place to go on a sunny afternoon or evening. Canoe has THE BEST live music in town and always puts on a fantastic evening for their local crowd. Music lovers unite, fun dancing with the whole crowd and lots of tunes that everyone will love to dance along to. Food is awesome and they have very reasonably priced drinks as well. Canoe has an awesome outdoor patio with dozens of cute umbrellad concrete tables plus a grass area with classy picnic tables and incredible water and sunset views...the inside was equally, if not way more interesting and fun! Food was great, we had a burger and caprese salad with Burrata, split by two adults it was more than enough, portions are all large. Both were so good, fun atmosphere, good service, good music, even our kids (10 and 8) enjoyed it...good kids food and pricing also!

My girlfriend and I want there for just a cocktail and an appetizer as they are pricey. But I'd been before a couple years ago and had a great time so I wanted to visit again. While it wasn't as good as I remember we overall we had an alright experience before we paid the bill and had the most uncomfortable encounter with the waiter. When we paid, we tipped them $5 because that seemed fair. But the waiter came back super upset, causing a bit of a scene saying that was apparently below 10% and they'd have to pay the rest of it out of pocket to canoe, and that conoe had some policy where servers had to confront the customer and ask what they did wrong to deserve less the 10%. It was super uncomfortable and frankly inappropriate to put that on the customer. After this experience we won't return.

Pretty good! But there's definitely room for improvement. The Canoe burger I had wasn't bad, but a little more care in assembly would go a long way. Too little burger sauce on the bottom bun, too much and unevenly distributed lettuce and limp tomato, a totally dry top bun, and slightly overcooked patties made this one a mouthful of dryness. The fries were fantastic though, and ditto for the seafood chowder. This place would have much more appeal on a sunny day on the patio, that's for sure. Come for the patio, not necessarily for the food.

Went for a B-Day drink and lunch with wife and BIL. They ordered Wings, Squid and Crispy Fries. I wasn't there yet. I came a bit late and cutlery girl found our waiter (Jeff7687) so he came and took my drink order. Food came and BIL explained that we had ordered wings not chicken fingers. After a bit of a conversation we decided we would just have the fingers instead of waiting for an order of wings. Jeff was most apologetic as he said it was totally his fault. The chicken fingers were not near as good as the wings. (we've had them before). Any how we were happy and had good service and a nice afternoon. The bill came and Jeff explained that he had given us 15% off all the food for his mistake and paid for a beer for my BIL. Well done Jeff7687, top notch service and you made three people very happy.

While initially I was disappointed that I couldn't get a reservation in the restaurant itself, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The huge patio had plenty of tables. It did get a bit breezy but the staff was quickly at the tables offering blankets. And we had excellent service! Our server really made the evening a great time without being intrusive or overly entertaining, if you get my meaning. I will return.

Great setting and brick building. Right on the harbor. Inside beautiful. Local brew excellent. Had the HELLES pale bavarian-style lager and was enjoyable. Had curry tomato soup and did not enjoy to my liking nor the fried chicken. Should have read menu better. Service was good to ok. Ambiance is chic. I’d return for the beer, ambience setting but different food choices.

This is one of my favourite place to go for dancing! They have some great bands that play covers and they are always awesome. It's a great, warm atmosphere, very inviting. And if you're there on a nice sunny day, their patio is a definite go to! Right on the water. They're a little on the pricey side (not super casual), but the food is good and they have a great selection of beer.

Great lineup of live music. Their regular selection of beer isn’t the best in town (especially for a brew pub) but they have some nice mixed drinks and hard liquor options. I go primairly for the entertainment, with the drinks being secondary. From what I’ve tried, the food is pretty tasty too.

Canoe has a great westcoasty cozy but high class vibe. It's a shame it is closing down as it's one of my favourite city pubs that is locally owned. It's a bit on the pricy end but it has the right balance fun, class and quality that most pubs can't attest to. It's not an overly stimulating place like some of the Victoria pubs. You can still have a quiet yet fancy date night or come here with a group of friends with beers. The happy hour is a good value. Hopefully the new business Craft will be able to continue some of this along.

They are marked as open on google map so we went, but they have barricade around the building. (I've been to both sides of the building) I've requested an edit to Google to mark it temporarily closed. It seems like a nice place i'd want to visit once they are open. There is no sign indicating when they will be open.

Amazing location and very nice waiters however, the Hawaiian poke bowl was bland with almost no taste whatsoever and the fish flavorless and very different from other poke bowls I've had (in Hawaii and victoria) the plating was very nice though. But besides that the Mac and cheese, fries and chicken wings were all very delicious.

Had the Gardenburger and it was terrible. Waited 45 minutes for a table of 3, whatever, it was a beautiful day. Ended up seated on the patio right by the entrance, near the host. Asked if we could sit at another table that was closer to the water and much nicer but apparently was held for another party, who didn't show up for another 10 minutes. Heard the host tell a group of 2 it was a 40+ minute wait. 2 cute white girls walk up and ask for a table (No reservation) and he went and seated them right away. Seriously, the gardenburger was the worst veggie burger I've ever had.

Great ambiance, views and service. The menu lacks a few of my quintessential pub orders but the stuff they have isn’t too bad. They’ve generous portions but are tad bit expensive. Seating arrangement is nice and spacious. I had the veggie burger which was slightly dry but the flavour was great. Decent sized side of fries. The Chicken wings only come in one flavour and it wasn’t bad. Tacos are a surprise package. They are marked as a starter but are meal sized when combined with a side of fries.

I like them for sit-in but do not order food to go. We chose them for takeout because not many kitchens nearby were open but they got our order wrong even after the server pointed out that they had zero other food orders up at the time. Got all the way home before realizing that the one thing we ordered was not modified for our dietary preferences so half of it was inedible. This is a drinking only, vibe only place.

Stopped by Canoe with a friend the other day for a late dinner, had a really nice time. The mac and cheese was delicious! It was a little on the pricey side for me (about $30 for the mac n cheese and a beer), but the atmosphere and service were great so it was worth it. Good socially distanced tables, we looked at menus on our phones, and stayed right til closing! Would recommend and I’ll be back when I’m on the island again.

On a Saturday afternoon we had an abundance of seating options and chose a comfortable tall table with a view of the water. The menu is pretty standard pub fare and my fish and chips was tasty. *Best* coleslaw ever! I know; coleslaw. But hey! It's good enough to order an extra one next time I go back. Only one wheat beer option, but one is better than none and not every place serves it. It's a pub so a fair chance I'd go back anyway but I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Nice restaurant with a lot of spaces indoor and also nice patio. There are customer parking spots so I never had difficulty parking downtown. Service is great, reasonable waiting time for the foods to come but a bit slow at the end after we finished and wanted to leave. Foods have nice decorating and tasted quite good for pub foods.

We usually hit the bar, but this time around it was full, so I feel like we didn't get as good service as we usually do, in the sense that we waited long enough that we could have had another beer. Too bad, because the beers were good. Simple styles, but well done. Didn't try the food. Prices okay.

Great staff, but don’t eat anything until you have cut into it or you will be charged full price. Fish and chips were greasy and chips over salted. I ate the inside of the fish and left the rest....therefore when I spoke to the waiter he said I had to pay the full price...which was about 4 mouth fulls. We have eaten here since it opened and today was a poor experience and we won’t be returning anytime soon for ourselves (local) or bringing guests. A shame.... we have enjoyed all our past dining experiences and has been our ‘go to’ place and supporting Local. Now it is our word of mouth, regrettably, to the negative.

Great bistro-style patio with a view, as well as plenty of indoor seating. The interior is fairly basic but polished, so good for casual gatherings or work lunches/drinks. Inside is maybe a bit loud for a first or second date, but good for the third onward. The happy hour and regular menus are both fairly diverse and the serving sizes are medium. The restaurant has their own brewery so there is a bit less variety on tap if you are looking for another local draught, but they will let you sample their offerings before you commit if you are uncertain what to order. Plenty of cocktails and some wines to choose as well. Service is always pretty good. They never seem short staffed so you are able to get in and out if in a hurry, but they also never push you if nursing the last few sips or bites.

It's a really nice place for a Christmas party lots of drinks I didn't have and the food was really good had a fish burger with goat cheese and mushrooms and it was really good. The mushrooms we're oyster mushrooms to not just plain field or brown mushrooms. Also they had generous portion sizes great tasting desert to.

Great patio, decent beer, almost edible food. The most bland rib tacos I've ever tried. These are two of my favourite things combined; I'm not sure how it is possible mess up both with one dish. Also the calamari felt like it was frostbitten. Hopefully the food improves because the rest of the place is great.

Ten out of ten dining experience. Went on a busy long weekend Monday night, got in within 20 minutes (extremely reasonable), had a wonderful table overlooking the ocean and our server, Georgia T was absolutely fantastic.
