Here you have the feddbacks of real people like you who are consuming the products and services of TGI Fridays (Night Club) in Niagara Falls (Canada).
At this moment this firm receives a score of 2.8 over 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is average, neither too high nor too low, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the valuation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are satisfied, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Night Club is classified in the category of Restaurant.
Prices are high and to be expected from a restaurant in a tourist area, but the food is not worth the price. Thank goodness we only ordered the appetizers - would have hated to spend even more money on a horrible meal. Sad if you can’t at least get the appetizers right. How wrong can you go with wings? Ask TGIF. The buffalo wings are boiled not fried, as it says in the menu description, so you feel the slimy skin as you bite into them. Terrible. The buffalo sauce is good, but huge disappointment with the wings. I guess they’re cutting corners and hoping people won’t notice. Our first and last time to dine at a TGIF restaurant.
My friend and I came to this location in Niagara Falls! The portions were completely off due to the double price of the food! Wilted lettuce on the Fridays chicken sandwich and only quarter order of cold seasoned fries! Would not recommend this place for anyone! It’s freezing in the restaurant you will be having to wear a coat while your trying to enjoy a rotten meal. Spinach dip tasted like baby vomit and didn’t look appetizing for the 20 dollars it’s set for. Will not come here ever again I would advise you to do the same!
Waiting staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Food was decent and pricing is okay as well.
Friendly service, waiter was great. Food was low quality and over cooked!! Ribs were so dry it was like sweet and salty jerky.. 1/2 rack was barely a 1/3rd rack. Fish n chips was all batter still not sure if any fish was used.?.. Prices are at least 2 to 3x higher than much higher quality restaurants.. Save your money and order a pizza and have it delivered to your hotel room. LoL.
I would not mind the overcharging if the food was good. I can understand locational charging but 12 small chicken wings for $18 is a obvious ripoff. Staff was great. Management is to blame. Also watch out for the *tif' charge. It is a charge collected for Niagara improvement fund and we were told is is given to the mayor. If you ask they will take it off your bill but it is automatically attached.
TGI Friday's has the feel of a real Canadian pub. Unfortunately, it does not have an outside seating area or a view on the Niagara Falls. Free valet parking, in addition to being useful in such a busy tourist location, is just the beginning of the fast and friendly customer service. You can ask your waiter or waitress the WiFi promotional code that will allow you to connect to the Marriott Hotel's Honour Network. TGI Friday's is a large and spacious restaurant and bar, with plenty of seating room to choose from: booths, tables, and a bar seating area with lots of flat screen TVs to please sports enthusiasts. The restaurant is well lit, on top of having large amounts of natural light penetrating through the windows that surround the restaurant. TGI Friday's offers a relaxed, friendly, and clean dining environment. There's a good variety of beers on tap, which can be ordered in small or large size. Their speciality (and most popular) dish at the time of this writing in their Jack Daniel's Burger. While it resembles nothing to the juicy burger depicted on their menu and, therefore, may first appear as a disappointment, any disappointment will vanish once you take your first bite of what is truly a delicious burger (although a bit too much on the sweet side). Otherwise, the meals at TGI Friday's are very expensive.
Prices seem a little high but food was good and people were nice
I've been to many TGI Fridays. This one is not the best. The food was cold. The restaurant is pricey. The service was ok. Overall could be better.
Food was good, our server was great, was convenient as it was connected to our hotel, a bit pricey but kind of what you expect down here tbh. Would come here again, recommend it to those who love bar food!
Crazy overpriced for what we got, which was Uncle Bens rice and greasy quesadillas.
Very expensive, small portion and waiter doesn't care
Atmosphere was dynamic and wait staff were welcoming. A real team effort from start to finish. My order included a substitution and something not on the menu. Everything was handled with care and I enjoyed my meal. Had a great chat with my server and others who checked on me. Excellent experience and highly recommend going to this restaurant!
Stay away. You will have no trouble finding other places with better food and better prices. TGI Friday's should be ashamed of themselves. $10 for a coffee and an ice tea? I never dreamed that "bacon" could be sliced as thinly as it was when my bacon and eggs came out. Waitress was nice enough, but $65.00 for a salad, "bacon" and eggs and 2 drinks!! I will never go to a TGI Friday's again.
DO NOT EAT HERE. I ordered a burger and found blonde hair inside. It is disgusting. Please go somewhere else.
Great place, expensive food! A staff put me in a table that is dark, what am I Stevie Wonder?! Red Robin will still be my no. 1! $74 for just eating a burger and a quesidilla! Insane!
Food Quality 9 Food Flavors 9 Food Presentation 9 Location Cleanliness 10 Location Atmosphere 9 Location Service 9 would I go back? yes Notes: food was good, a bit on the pricy side for what you get
Quick friendly service with decent food. Great fries! Can't ask for more.
Not a fan of the wings. Fries were good. No parking. Parked underground at Embassy Suites. Very very tight. Prices are way more than they should be just because it's in Niagara Falls. The hosts was very nice but the food just wasn't worth the price and the variety was limited. Wouldn't eat at that specific location again.
Very bad food and a total ripoff!! Don’t go there. They charge you a 17% forceful Tip .... Crazy
When you use your Voucher there, you should use your brain more than SAT If you are staying in the Ambassy hotel, They will give you lots of vouchers and free coupons including $20 discount voucher in TGIF, and $30 discount voucher in The KEG. In the KEG, no problem to use it whether you are solo traveler or not. But in TGIF, it's is really tricky. You will use your brain more than SAT. Vouchers includes tax (17.7+2.3=$20, 26.6+3.4= $30) Whenever I use these coupons, I always order over double value than its voucher. In the KEG, I ordered over double value than coupon.($55 for steak + $10 for wine) And they just took $30 off the total amount.(73.45-30=43.45) VERY SIMPLE!!! and even their service was perfect! So I paid $50 including Tip. In TGIF, I absolutely ordered over double value than the voucher($32 for pasta + $9 for soup --------it's even way over priced). and the server told me you may use your voucher so I ask them to go ahead. while my order was in progress, they come again and told that I can use only half of the voucher because I ORDERED ONLY 1 MAIN MENU WHICH IS OVER $17.7...... what???????. it's already way over double value than the voucher!! So I canceled soup and ordered 12 ea wings. In total I spent $57.63!!! FOR MYSELF!! and SEE THE RECEIPT BELOW about HOW MUCH DISCOUNT I GOT!!! I never seen the fee "NFDF" which is "TOURIST FEE" before............... HAHAHAHAHAHA I am so stupid. I should have kicked myself out of there once I got asked to order 2 main or entrees.
They do not sell beef and steak is made out of PORK??? steak is always made out of beef not pork if steak is made out of pork then it is not steak
Staff and food were great even with lockdown. Manager Josh was super friendly! Will be back soon!
Server not friendly. Food priced for area however mediocre. Would not recommend.
Great selection of food. Waitresses are nice and helpful. Prices are high because of the location. Good for large groups and nights when hockey is on.
Brought my bf for his bday and sad to say unlike the TGI's in the US that come happily to your table singing Happy bday with a small slice of cake, your asked to pay for your own slice here. All the money they revenue from the Embassy and tourists yet they're still too cheap to give out a small slice of cake for someone for spending their money, for their bday, at the TGI's establishment. The waitresses answer to me asking why they don't was "its franchise". Guess the owner is just a greedy a**hole.
Good atmosphere and nice personel. Though high prices. 30 bucks for a bowl of pasta and 23 for a salad?
I came to this restaurant a few days ago and I was very happy with my experience. The hostesses at the front were very kind and helpful (caitlyn and McKenzie) and were very knowledgeable about the coupons from the hotel. Our server Shawn was also very nice definitely best server I’ve had no doubt!!!
Chicken strips, salad, and fries with a plate of paste and a sandwich and they tried to charge me $190.10 hahah .. thank god I asked for a price before ordering ... Way over priced for basic food.
Disgusting service! Incompetent manager and server (Gill). Will never go back or recommend anyone. Will suggest Embassy Suites Hotel remove them from their building!!
Excellent location, friendly staff and good food.
Food was good, waiter was very friendly, and service was some of the best I’ve ever seen at any restaurant I’ve been at Pricing is a bit high though
Staff was excellent! But the food quality was average.
We were seated at a table immediately, but then ignored for 20+ minutes before we walked out. Not a single waiter came by to take our orders or apologize for the delay. The restaurant was rather quiet and the waiters were just standing around chatting with one another, so I think there was a breakdown in communication of who was supposed to service our table. We could have gotten up and chased down a waiter, but instead we chose to eat at a place that wanted our business.
Nice atmosphere, all of our meals (for a family of 5) were delicious and our server was awesome but the prices are ridiculous!!!
The food quality is ok and the restaurant customer service is good. However, I feel it's overpriced.
Food was great, however very expensive (in Canadian dollars, at least). We paid $100 for dinner for two that consisted of a sandwich and fries, an appetizer size quesadilla, and a couple of drinks.
Terrible and over priced I had the California club all luncheon meat could have made a better one at home husbands burger looked like some frozen patty small portions will never go back
Horrible food ! And the price was outrageous! Would definitely not recommend this place . Rather have a bagle from Starbucks for dinner than what me and my boyfriend ordered he hate only a FEW bites of his burger and ended up puking a half hour later.
Stopped here while in Niagara Falls as the Denny's we wanted to go to was under renovations. We were seated very quickly by the hostess, but spent more than 20 minutes waiting for the waitress to come over despite the restaurant being fairly quiet. Food was ok, but pretty expensive for the quality and amount, and the burgers we ordered didn't quite match their description on the menu.
Horrible service. Was seated and then had to wait 18 minutes for the server to come by and take our drink order. No apologies from the waitress. That's just disrespectful.... It was lunch time and actually not busy at all. I do mystery shopping and this would have been a big fat FAIL. Food itself wasn't bad but I expect better service from a restaurant attached to Embassy Suites. Maybe try the other location nearby.
Went there for drinks and, as expected, they charged us the NFDF tax (6%) and refused to take it off our bill because we ”didn’t have any food, just drinks”. The NFDF tax amount is arbitrary and every place charges a different percentage so you never know what to expect.
Food qasnt great but the service just ok. Breakfast was really bad. Niagara Falls has the worse breakfast everywhere.
Had the JD burger with fries last weekend (5pm Saturday) and it was one of the best I've had in a restaurant chain and I'm from Toronto. Service was good, beer was tad on the expensive side but on par with Boston pizza.
Good wings friendly staff very pleasant experience even during covid
This restaurant has done an excellent job of adapting to provide patio dining.
over priced and food is just ok .Wendy's cheaper and more flavor
Service with an ATTITUDE: 1) we were told that there was a 1 hour sitting time, yet we were one of only 3 tables occupied 2) the waitress was upset that we did not "sign in" before being seated, but we were not asked to sign in 3) did not feel welcomed at all The quality of food is barely acceptable and it's WAY overpriced! BTW, on top of the high prices there is a hidden fee on your final bill that they do not tell you about ahead of time! They say it's a tax, but it's NOT!
Went here for my birthday. Food was terrible, cold, not fresh, way to over priced. You have to tip 18% for some reason, but the dude who served us was chill tho
Food was not that good, service was horrible and on top of an additional tip was added onto our bill after we already gave a tip. I don’t think anyone wants to double tip someone especially with the food priced so damn high and being served with a horrible attitude. I would never go back, I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn’t even give it one star.
Very overpriced! Chicken was rubbery and the steamed veggies were left in steamer for a year. Go somewhere else!!
Sorry.... 50$ too much for two burgers... Even in a tourist town
Fun resturant outside seatting good food great location to Niagra Falls
We attended the restaurant on new year night 2022, food was very bad and raw, prices were double the menus, the waiter cheated us with the bill value, because my daughter who was a visitor from Germany paid the bill, we have been dealing with that restaurant outside Canada since long time, and the service was great, but that branch is not, it's a shame on you !!, Where is the management control on such fraud!? I wish if there is less than one star to rate their unprofessional service.
I ordered wings for the appetizer and their signature burger for the main course. Both the wings and the burger were not fresh AT ALL. I could not even finish my dish. Two stars are only for their fries and special sause. Won't go back.
Unfortunately the only restaurant open when I went. Paid $45 for a sandwich and a beer. The fries were stale and were not good. The waiter was nice though. Wouldn't go back.
The service was very good, but the food is definitely not worth the crazy expensive prices. Smallest portions, and very poor presentation too. But! The mashed potatoes are great so 2 stars for that.
I was there in a Thursday night and it was a really bad experience. It's a sports bar, but seems they only play SOME sports. There was only ONE TV showing the Hockey game, and they changed the TV to the baseball game. The place was almost empty (only 3 tables), but the waitress never payed attention to our table, we needed to ask for her attention all the time. I've ordered a burger with blue cheese, the burger was ok, but the clue cheese sauce was completely tasteless.
Have heard complaints about this location, I have never had any. Mozza sticks are a fave, as well as the Jack Daniels Burger!!!
I ordered a steak and it was dry and chewy. Also, what’s up with 17% mandatory tip for takeout? They also added a bunch of fees that I normally don’t pay at other restaurants in the same area. I should’ve read the reviews first.
The food was overpriced but not for Niagara (it's what you'd expect out of a tourist town), and it was hot and delicious. The service was fast and good. Our waitress was one of the few who actually had her mask on, which is the reason for my 2 star rating. If you're not covid cautious, then go for it, otherwise, stay away. Half their waiters had their masks under their chins the whole time we were there, breathing on the beers, scratching their faces and mouths, then touching surfaces and platters before serving the guests. Not once did I see any one of them sanitize their hands. I won't be back.
Paid $30 for one chicken finger dinner with fries. There were 3 chicken fingers and only about a handful of fries that were soggy....
We went for a drink and some appetizers. The potatoe skins and chips with gauc. Delicious! Our server Chris was very friendly.
Very overpriced. And they added on a 17% tip for a takeout Consisting of 2 burgers without my knowledge.
Service
Wish the prices could be lower, but you don't have to be a paying customer to use the washrooms.
EXPENSIVE! 30$ for a Appetizer. 43$ for a Ribs... 20$ for a Regular Burger Not very good, overall.
Delivery
Disappointing , server was very nice but the food was sub par and vastly overpriced,. Even for Niagara Do not order a margaritas. It was terrible. 1st time I have seen a margaritas with a slice of orange on it. Will not go back.
On our way to the hotel stopped for take out. The food was so overpriced, and horrible. Everything was over cooked and 3 platers costed us $120. Do not recommend at all
Food was good but prices are insane!! Buffalo bites appetizer which is chicken nuggets in a sauce is $22! Ribs were good and husband liked burger. Wont be dining in Niagara again with prices like these
Service
Amazing chicken cascadia, salmon was a bit overcooked, and their mud pie is very tasty as well. Nice environment, I would recommend this place.
Fries tasted like day old fries, cold, not even heated in the microwave. Burger was luke warm and soggy yet somehow the plate was scalding hot. Don't eat here.
Ridiculously expensive, very greasy fish (for the fish and chips dinner), and the margarita tasted like salt water. Avoid and try some where uniquely Canadian and local. This is not a good representation of THI Friday’s in the USA.
In a low-rent gambling strip, this was reassuring somehow. Excellent service. The usual menu and so on. There may be a discount if you are staying in the hotel above.
Way over priced. $28 for a trio appetizer. Just gouged the tourists. Couple behind us sat down andeft immediately after looking at the prices. Staff was friendly however, just over priced. Do not recommend.
Prices are comparable to other restaurants.. Steak was bland, tasted boiled. Under staffed. Manager in grey sweater just stood around not helping anywhere. For the prices we pay, we deserve some elevated service!
The veggie burger was delicious and the staff were super friendly. We were staying at the embassy suites, so we came here for dinner twice.
Katie Z. I don’t even know where to begin, her demeanor was horrifying. I have never in my life had to deal with someone so ungrateful to actually have a job. She would disappear and consistently would have to remind her of how to do her job. No napkins, no silverware and repeatedly had to ask for water. Also observed her take orders from a neighboring table as she rolled her eyes directly to paying customers as she tried to uncomfortably fake a smile.
Service
For a take out, I have to pay 18% of gratuity
Food and service was great but a little pricey!
No quality in food..felt like Christmas eve was all a waste. Would not recommend to visit the place as quality of food is not good..not at all worth it..ordered alfredo pasta which was just boiled and added with cheese and few veggies..and the server did not show any concerns when complained…their service and quality of food really needs to be looked after…????????????????
Even though the service was definitely 4-star, the price of the food was ridiculous! For a chicken tenders meal (5 chicken tenders, and a side of fries with 2 sauces) this dish was marked at $19.99.... The chicken tenders were not necessarily cooked to a golden brown, but instead a more yellowish tone. The sauces were good, but for that price range I had better gotten a salad or something to justify the price point. Don't think I will return, as there definitely are better in that area.
Prices way too much. You would think going on a Friday to Fridays, they would have specials, nope. No specials, anyday. Was hungry for dinner only had a 30 dollar appetizer, mozza sticks, chicken wings, celery sticks, and potato skins. Disappointed and will not be returning. Also if you're local, let them know, they charge the tourist tax.
Food tasted terrible. We ordered the California Club it was basically a Subway sandwich for $19.00! House salad which was a $15 head of lettuce and 6 Buffalo chicken wings that was so salty it was not edible for $13.00. $2.44 per wing. It's one thing to charge this amount for good food but for this tasteless foods it's a crime.
Actually I will give a ZERO star for this place! Worst place I have ever been in my life and in the world!! I went there with my three other friends. We decided that it was not a dinner but some snacks for us. So the two waitress just simply put their noses down at us and gave us a stupid attitude. It took forever to wait for my orders! And when they put foods on the table they just walked away and ignored us. There are two servers stations right beside our table within 4 metres! They just kept leaning on the station facing the wall and talking things nothing related to their work. And then after some minutes they just DISAPPEARED! I mean both of them. We need to ask the bartender to get them back to give us the bill. Then the waitress came back without saying anything about sorry! We waited her at least for 10 minutes! Then the funniest thing came. I selected No Tip on the debit machine, and when she noticed, she just gave us a really stupid and rude face. By the way it's a 53 dollars bill. But , when I gave here a 5 dollars bill she just changed her face in 1/10 second and lastly said "thank you". Literally I would not tip a service like this and she should be aware of that! So why she seemed like she was hoping customers tip her 15% or 20% with such a terrible service? After I read others comments, I realized not only me who thinks they have a terrible service. Don't Come To This Place! Even though you may find its hard to find a place to eat at Niagara falls in winter season. Just go to Other places and read the comments before you go!
I wish the description of the California Club was more accurate because I never would have ordered it had I known it was just lunchmeat and not actual turkey and ham.. It wasn’t the worst sandwich, but incredibly overpriced for what they served and was just okay. The fries were okay too, plentiful at least since I didn’t enjoy my sandwich. First and last time at this restaurant.
The service was friendly but the food was aweful. Two kids meal, two adult meals, all gross and lukewarm. The kids mac and cheese is not at all like the pic in the menu, it is litterally kraft dinner for 10 bucks. Way over priced.
Great place with an awesome service! I will definitely come back.
Nice place with good service I got the veggie burger here which was pretty good. A good place to watch a game I got a Long Island iced tea which didn’t taste good at all. Otherwise the server was really nice and accommodating.
Ya they close at 2 am and we show up at 1:25 am and they won't even let us in on a Saturday night ????????????
I ordered one of their signature platters that came with chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and ribs The ribs were tender and were easy to cut with a plastic knife however the sauce that they use is quite sweet and I can taste the sugar crystals a little bit weird The chicken strips were actually a chicken breast that was sliced thinly and then refried so they were pretty dry not sure who came up with that idea but it was quite stupid The mozzarella sticks were nice and big and tasty my favorite thing on the platter
Mostly sports food, finger foods. A little too pricy. Food was alright.
We went here with friends. I should have checked google reviews beforehand. Very expensive with a Niagara Falls tourism tax of 9% that was also taxed HST?! How does CRA even allow that? Food was overpriced for terrible quality and portions. We won't ever go back to TGIF in Niagara Falls and likely any other restaurant that charges this bogus tourism tax. If COVID hasn't damaged this restaurant these reviews will.
We went for dinner at 6pm. No wait. Our server Justin S. was amazing. He was timely and patient with our party of 7 which included four kids. All of our food was cooked proper and the menu variety satisfied all members of our party. The dining room is large and it is within walking distance to hotels and wego stops.
This restaurant has one of the best BBQ ribs that I’ve ever tried in Canada
Rick is an amazing bartender. Was going to grab take out but his cheerful way made me stay. A+
Our server was great, super nice, Josh i think his name was. The girl that took our payment on the other hand, didn't get her name - but she was blonde & super rude. her machine wasn't supporting my groups debit cards & she gives attitude. "I don't know, try again". Finally figured it out, but she rudely walks away without saying anything. Food was ok, nothing special.
Three of us went for dinner last night, the hostess and her behavior was terrible, food was horrible, I ordered salmon which came with just baby carrots and 2 slice of zucchini as side vegetable, pasta was too greasy,I'll never go there again.
Food was pretty good, the use of oils was great. Covid kind of measured up the whole Covid xperience, but still highly recommend
Meal type
There was garbage all over the patio. The food was very expensive and lack lustre. The best dish we had was the chicken sandwich. The signature platter was not tasty. The chips were good but the guacamole was not. I was very disappointed and will avoid TGI Fridays in the future.
service was actually ok..I actually felt sorry fot the server who had to serve such bad food. I enjoyed TGIF in the past, but not sure why it became so bad. It was all frozen food with crazy price. If you see someone on this board who gives more than 2 stars, you can ignore all their other reviews. It was that bad for sure.
Waited 20 minutes to get greeted abd then 45 minutes for our food that was soggy and just warm. Horrible service
Sat down to eat dinner around 9 pm on a Friday. We were a group of 4. No one came around to even give us water, although plenty of employee chit chat back and forth around the registers and kitchen door. The place wasn't crowded. We tried to wave someone down to no avail. Got up and left after 15 minutes.
Appetizers okay. But if you're looking for a place to be ignored by at least 4 staff members on a slow night, you've found the right place.
Delicious food, great service
Qualité service, excellent food. Nothing else to Say. Amazing experience!
Meal type
Friendly & Fast service. My Salmon was slightly crunchy on the outside and fell apart when I cut it. It tasted great. I loved the mashed potatoes (without chives) and broccoli. The Oreo Madness was a lot bigger than what I thought so I am glad we shared. It was really good. Our server, Kyle, was great. We asked about things to see and he came up with several places and attractions and then asked some coworkers about some ideas. They came up with a list and he brought it over to us. It is pricey but I enjoyed my visit. I'd come again.
The shrimp and chicken alfredo pasta was great. However, the blackened chicken sandwich was more bread than chicken, tasted good but not enough chicken for what you pay.
Food and and service was good but not much variety. The prices however are ridiculously over priced. This was the first TGIF I have been to in Canada so was very disappointed in the end. Once you add in taxes plus the NFDF and tip you are way beyond their value. One star out of five. Stay away.
We walked in at 11:30 PM so I guess shame on us. My girlfriend and I ordered blackened chicken alfredo. The pasta and sauce were obviously not fresh and the plate was so small I would have been embarrassed to serve that to someone. I ordered a beer and my girlfriend ordered a double vodka and red bull. The red bull wasn't red bull, it was an off brand. A single entree and two drinks(one a double) should not cost $86.
Way overpriced. Food similar to Applebee's at double the cost.
I was charged tax on a mandatory 17% tip for take out (unacceptable)! On top of that a bogus truism fee plus tax was on my bill... over charged by $16 and change.
Stopped in for a drink and stayed for dinner. Bar staff was awesome food was great!! Everyone was very helpful and constantly asking if we needed anything. Rebecca was awesome!!! Would definitely recommend this place!!
Food was delicious and prices are very reasonable considering the alternative options for a good meal in Niagara Falls.
We ordered 2 pint of Belgium moon that was flat then they change to other that was also flat. Did like the food as well. Did not aspect from TGI.
Let me tell you , NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. I have never experienced such a sight. It was all good while I was sitting there sipping on my drink until I saw a mouse ran across. I wear glasses so I thought I wasn’t seeing clearing ( even though I knew what I saw) . I told my fiancé that I saw a mouse or rat. I swear the moment I said that the little mouse continued on its way. My fiancé definitely saw it. I was so shocked I couldn’t even take a video or picture. We left same time and they still charged me for the drink. Please do not go there. Please.
Horrible service. Terrible staff. And awful food. The waitress took things personally when we told her the order was wrong. She had an attitude the whole time she was serving, she kept hitting the plates on the table and on top of that the manager denied us service the next day and wouldn’t even hear the full story. I am a manager at a major company with huge customer service line and I would’ve never handled this situation as this manager did. They also forced a 17% tip. Terrible terrible service. It’s a shame. I can’t believe a big franchise as TGI in a tourist area will hire people like this. I would’ve given a 0 stars if I could
We had a soup,2 sodas and 12 wings cost us $50.00 the food is good but not worth $30 a meal... not for what you get.. great service though.
Very loud location even when only 1/2 filled. Tourist price increase of course, so expect at least 20 CAD per person if you order on the cheaper parts of the menu. USB charging ports & wifi are a bonus.
Meal type
Had the appetizer sampler. Everything was good, service was good.
Before coming here, we looked at the reviews. We were dismayed because of the low ratings and supposedly awful waiters an waitresses described in the review. However, our server, Alyssa, was AMAZING. She was very kind and friendly, and always had a genuinely happy smile. I don't know about the other servers, but I would've loved to have her serve me again. The food was pretty good, but for the money that you paid you would expect better quality. Overall, my dining experience at TGI Friday's was enjoyable.
We loved the food there a bit expensive but good quantities and kids loved it
Too pricey. 6 wings for 18$ Wrnt to papa John 8 wings for 9$.same flavor as TGIF. Did appetizer and beer cost 87$plus. Not worth it at all.
Yes, you are in niagara falls! Everybody's going there with the vouchers from the hotels around. But even with the voucher, it doesn't worth it with what you are going to pay for. I ordered kayjun shrimp and chicken pasta 36$ before tax and everything was just like a KID'S MEAL. The portion, plating, taste, etc... Lol I really missed other great pasta place that I know. Such an overpriced place, So, don't expect too much! Oh they charge you extra niagara falls tax too!
Does not participate in "Stripes". Did not find out until the end of the meal and tried to redeem stripes, and they would not accept. Did not earn Stripes either. Very dissatisfied.
It was a ok place for dinner and drinks. Food was a bit pricy! We ordered fajita and it wasn’t that great. Guacamole tasted a bit old. But the brownie is a must try!
First of all chair was filthy. Ask for it to be cleaned. Ordered pasta with shrimp and chicken Cajun. It’s nothing like the picture and shrimp was scarce. Loaded potatoe skins means loaded not on the side and they were too thick. Jack Daniel chicken was jus bland chicken with a sauce that didn’t go with it. Everything was bland and presentation was poor. Been here several times before and it was good. I was surprised at how bad everything tasted. My son even got a drink with dirt frozen in the ice cube. I was shocked at the NFDF fee added on to my bill. The whole experience was terrible.
Crazy overpriced but as expected for a tourist destination. Otherwise drinks were great. Oh..p.s. we didn't eat anything, we just got drinks to get drunk because we couldn't find a liquor store.
Take out
THE WORST FOOD EVER And probably the worst TGI I’ve ever been too: 1) no one served us at the door 2) waiter took 20 mins to serve us when we sat down 3) food took another 20mins 4) the smallest portions of food I’ve ever eaten 5) overly priced 6) you are not getting what you paid for- they cut corners - my fries were cut in half so it looked like more 7) the ac was way too cold and they can’t turn it down 8)they are flies everywhere DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT GOOD FOOD FOR YOU MONEY!!
If you want to experience one of the worst customer service and quality, welcome to this restaurant. Very bad and poor service, over burned food, very expensive vs the quality, , full of salt and unhealthy food. Waiter was unprofessional, added to our bill over 17 % tip. When I asked why, despite of he was very rude and provided no special customer care with mess plates and spoons and we were not happy, he said to us that the 17 percent tip is mandatory because you are 6 people. We were 5 adult and 1 infant. When we complaint he said this rule is written in your menu. When I looked at the menu, and took a picture from the menu and zoom out in my cell phone, I found it impossible to read these thin words bottom of the page with your eyes. Very easy, a simple cheating..
We were just there with a group of 13 or so - every one of us had a terrible experience. The outrageously overpriced food was awful, the drinks were not as advertised, and because the 17% tip is not optional, our waiter didn’t seam to care one bit. Save your money, go to Turtle Jacks down the street
Staying at the Embassy Suites decided to localize our options given the fact the restaurant was adjacent to lobby. Menu gave suitable options and a call down and order placed for lunch pick-up. A 17% take out charge was our first surprise but given the fact the restaurant was vastly vacant having a view of anything else but that was preferred. Within 10mins in the restaurant for pickup and order was brought from kitchen and handed over. $78 in charges and what you see in pics of 2 meals is what was received. Sandwich was buffered by cold sparse fries and the chicken meal hardly had enough in it including pasta to make it worthy of a meal. My suggestion is to skip this place all together and trot down the street Zappi's Pizza joint or Clifton Hill to one of the other offerings. We did that for the rest of our trip.
The food was soo amazing I loved every bite of it! Only thing is, It's super expensive and Little food is givin. Like my friend and I shared a meal and it cost $20.00 just for a simple 6" sandwhich and a little bit of fries.
We had a great evening there. The staff kept the drinks flowing
Their food was good. A little pricy but it was delicious.
I only gave it 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. First off, they need to strategize a better table option because the dividers weren’t enough. Second, they have no children’s menu. In Niagara Falls, a FAMILY attraction spot. They have no children’s menu. Their food also sucks, and all tasted frozen. The food is also way over priced. The $40 shareable platter s ridiculously small for an option to share. The service was ok, our waiter was polite and attentive. Don’t waste your money and time here!
The food and the tasty are very good. I ate the pasta with chicken and was amazing.
The food we ordered was not hot. The appearance was off as well. It was clear that the food was reheated in a microwave, rather than prepared fresh. We will not be returning to this TGIF, ever.
I didnt even get the opportunity to have food we arrived at 9.20pm on a Wednesday night and it was already closed - the website says the are open until 1 am Sunday to Thursday! - You should update it!
Terrible food and high prices...like most things around the falls. Service was good and I feel bad they have to deal with this quality food at this price. This is my partially eaten(by me)Shanghai Chicken Salad. Its not the mixed greens I was expecting as described in the menu. I don't like sending food back so I just muched on what I could. Sorry tgiFriday's but you let us down.
The food is excellent and comes in good portions. The service is very polite and prompt. This is my second time here, and on both visits we were served right away and had absolutely no issues. I've ordered the signature ribs and steak. My girlfriend has gotten the chicken and steak. Meals came fast, and cooked property. Even when we came in last minute during dinner rush on a holiday we asked if it was possible to get our food faster so we could make the fireworks at the falls. Our food came within 10 minutes and the food was still spot on. When you read the reviews of others on this restaurant they all complain about the price.. What do you expect to pay for a steak dinner in a resort area, attached to the areas highest rated hotel? For those who have a hard time paying the price here maybe you should just stay home. If you can't afford a 40$ steak dinner then don't order one and complain about the price. The place, food and service are excellent. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
Food is very normal, any Canadian chain has a better menu and food quality. Very expensive and you end up paying tax over the 17% pre-set tip! With the taxes and everything I ended up paying 40% over the total bill. Service is okay. The desert menu is very limited to 4 items and we ordered the famous brownies but it looked nothing like the menu and it didn’t taste good.
The food was ok but nothing special and way overpriced for what it was. On top of that, our server included her own tip on the bill. She said this practice was standard for large parties but there were only 8 of us and each family had their own bill. Maybe they think you won’t want to complain about the cost when you’re in a group but when our bill came to $156 for 3 of us, I was more than a little surprised. We will no be going back.
I stayed at embassy suites so I deceived to order my dinner from TGI. I noticed the overpriced fast food right away but whatever. This was a great option since ja attached to the hotel. First surprise when I received my food is that the charge 17% of mandatory tip. Unacceptable & then when paying they still ask me to tip twice. Food was ok, just ok, they served me a “messy” burger with a bunch of fries for 27$ total amount. Chill
Aside from the bar service the rest of the service was slow. we sat at the bar waiting for the waiter to call us but we didn't hear him call us and we were right there. So after almost an hour we were taken to our table and we waited and waited for service...finally service. Never again
Food was decent, but extremely overpriced -- even with a $20 off coupon, dinner for two (with one drink each) ran us an additional $40-$50 during our frigid December visit.
Walked in. Sat ourselves at the bar. We were ignored for 15 minutes. Finally offered us service. They were more than glad to cash us out. Will never return to this place.
They have msg in there food. It made me violently I'll after eating there and told me off for asking about it. Very rude awful place
The food is over price! I got takeout and was charged a mandatory 17% tip. Spending over $90 dollars for 2 pasta dishes was not worth it. With not much chicken on both plates and a few shrimp. I don't know if I ever went to TGI Friday before but if this is how it is I would never go back. Don't get me wrong I have gone to expensive restaurants before but I don't see the value in the food when they don't even care about the environment with the Styrofoam containers.
Take out
I came here for breakfast, the menu is limited but the quality of the food is okay, similar to what you would get at any other buffet or chain restaurant. Don't try the orange juice though, it's too watery and not tasty at all. The staff was very nice though and the place is clean and comfy!
My girlfriend and I did a staycation at the Embassy. We ordered the three platter with a Caesar salad and were unimpressed with the quality. In addition, tip was already included before we had the option to select. Overall, food was not worth the price.
My wife and I went here during lunch hour thinking it be a good place based on the menu we saw on the website. Once we ordered our food we were surprised at the portion and presentation of the meals we ordered considering the significant price. To top it off the food was disgusting to the point I didnt even want it and neither did my wife. I would not recommend this place at all, please stay away!!
Why would anyone eat here? It’s below average pub food at tourist trap prices. Small menu is mostly small sandwiches and burgers with frozen McCain fries on the side. On the upside, it’s spacious and clean. I guess it’ll do if you are stuck in Niagara tourist hell - but you’d be much better off getting a chicken sandwich at Timmies.
Just a regular sports bar/pub with mediocre (taste wise) yet highly overpriced food. I could have (should have) gone to the keg and spent a slight bit more and walked out happier. Staff was not bad (expect for the fact he kept asking every 5 mins if we were done and wanting to clean up). Felt rushed. Won’t be going back for the food for sure.
Food was great but inflamed prices and covid charges is not the way to start your business backup since the whole world was financially suffering, we should not have to pay for them being closed since the whole world was closed and unemployed
Tragic, soggy and cold :( got a few free beers when we complained, because the service is actually pretty good, they tried to put it all right but generally it was just a bad experience overall.
Great service and food quality. However, the prices are insane.
We got our food pretty quickly however as vegetarians we felt as though our meals weren't the greatest. The veggie burger patty was very dry. The veggies in the fajitas were good.
Great late night service before closing. My daughter wasn't feeling well. Savio was very attentive. Great service.
Great location! Friendly and helpful staff. Great food. Great service
Margaret was great! She checked on us and made sure we were not thirsty. She definitely knows how to work the bar. Had a great experience at this location. GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR and we want to take her back with us to Texas.
Place was good but air conditioner was chiling impossible. Also it can be considered very expensive for what you get. And there are lots of "surprise"taxes added to your bill.
Great service, close to hotel (convenient), original burger was delicious, the blue cheese sauce was underwhelming - tasted like ranch dressing.
What an unbelievably disappointing meal. Party of 10 maybe 2 or 3 in the party found the food average. The rest disliked their meal. Service was rubbish but with an auto 17%tip I wasn't even able to vent that frustration. Go across the street to Applebee's.
Horrible food. Horrible service. $10.00 US for two regular coffees, limited menu, boxed mashed potatoes, brown lettuce, dried out chicken, and a dried out burnt cheeseburger. No thanks, and definitely don't recommend.
Amazing experience!! we were seated without delay....Our server, Julie, took care of us right away. we got our drinks, ordered our food and it only took 10 or 15 minutes to arrive. both meals were excellent. prices were on par with anywhere else in the falls. I can't say enough about the service...again, Julie is one of the best at her job...we got to talking and we were treated more like old friends than just customers. I have read bad reviews about this place, but I couldn't find anything to complain about. We will definitely be back, and If you're in the area, drop by. you WILL NOT be disappointed. thanks again to the folks at TGI Fridays for a great meal and a fun time!!!!
Be very careful to check the prices on promotional drinks. Especially as a tourist. Cant say I am impressed with paying $18 per drink without a price advertised on the on table advertisement.
We came in for desert in the evening, and I found what I think was a hunk of phlegm in my coffee. I was reembursed for our food but was told it was probably curdled cream. No action was taken to investigate the incident further. Over priced and disgusting.
Food are great, service are amazing, the price is a rip off ! go eat there and get robbed, what i mean the price is unbelievable high, expect every normal dish at lease $30 to 50 each, drinks around $10, each. expect to pay more than $100 for a table of two simple meal. if you want to dine in a manageable price , just drive 5 mins west to Lundy Land and you pick whatever restaurant in a normal price
Pls don’t waste your money, food is not quality and not tasty. They are using some sort of source which is full of sweet ant salty. Front desk lady is not pleasant. One star only for our waiter, he is friendly. Never go back!!
Worst meal of me and my family’s life pathetic.
How do you teach someone loyalty when someone doesn't show him loyalty when weekend over weekend they bail u out and work doubles over and over because they don't want the next shift to suffer. Thanks for the life lesson . But I will make sure that he continues to show loyalty. Just a hiccup in the road
Food taste good but quantity is small and prices are insane !!!!!!!!! I used to visit Niagara branch everyone I am in the area .. that my last visit for sure !!
Desserts are amazing!
Place was busy, but gave an excellent service. Josh gave a great service. Food was good.
Excellent food and awesome service!
ABSOLUTE RIP OFF. BE AWARE OF THE NON MANDATORY NFDF TAX. DISGRACEFUL STORE MANAGER JOHN FRANK FORTINO ASKING FOR EMAIL TO Refund. THE MONEY . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS
Dinner
Food was good, lots of tv to look at if you wanted. Service was very good. I imagine it would be a good place to have a few drinks and listen to music and people watch when the covid problem is less.
Crazy expensive!!! > $2 a wing!!! Wait staff is more interested talking with each other than serving.
Horrible, horrible place. Poor service, poor food quality and pricing completely out of line with food quality. Simply avoid and opt for anything else.
Food was good but not worth the prices. Wait time wasnt bad (10 min) service was quick, food was decent but definatley not worth the prices. 2 hamburgers combos, an app and 2 beers was $130 (with tip) that's a bit ridiculous. Much better options in the area for the price.
Very overpriced. I spend 43 dollars for less than half a rack of ribs and it's not even that good. The service is also very slow
Considering the options in this area (The Keg, Copacabana), people find reason to critique this location of TGI Fridays really hard. I don't think it's fair to rate a place poorly based on nearby options. Also, expect to be served real American food. What does that mean? Jack Daniel's Bacon&Cheese Burger. This is what I ordered, and I absolutely loved it. There's so much flavour in the sauce, and along with the fresh toppings and grilled burger, it left me very satisfied. Yes it's true, most things on this menu is a couple dollars more than what you'd expect. But the payoff is the large variety of American options. You won't have a problem finding something you're interested in eating with their menu, granted your group is in the mood for American food. I approve of the Jack Daniel's burger. If you're in the area and craving a good burger, check this one out. :)
Service was great, but the pricing is inflated quite a bit. I'm assuming it's due to the complimentary vouchers people get with nearby hotels. My friend and I had the fajitas and we're both surprised by how little meat there was for a $30+ entree.
We just went for drinks and the atmosphere was great. It was nice that it was attached to the Embassy Hotel.
The gnats are as big as flies! The food was good but couldn't really enjoy it because of the gnats. So bad we had to cover the wine with a soda top ????The service was good though ????
Burger is fast food/ frozen quality at a premium price. Ok service.
Foods are great but the staff have very bad attitude. They are the worst I have ever seen in Canada!! Will never dine-in.
Very limited menu. High prices. Taste is mediocre. Service is good and they are friendly. 1st edit:Forced 17% tip. I always tip as a way to thank people who serve us. Having to give is abhorren. 2nd edit: My father-in-law was so thoroughly disgusted with his plate that he could not stay at the table. He claimed a headache at the time so I didn't know until later. I would strongly advise to stay away from this restaurant.
Not incredibly impressed. I took my boyfriend here because I love the restaurant chain in the states. The prices are hiked for the Niagara scene but if you go coupon hunting, you can find a good deal. The servers were something else... the guys were yelling across the dining room in order to speak to each other and I literally watched this female server take her retainer out of her mouth in the middle of the dining and walk with it in her fingers to the kitchen. I don’t know why the servers were yelling. Hardly anyone was in the restaurant, it was just disruptive. Our server, Katie I think, was very pleasant. Food was below average. I ordered ribs and the ends weren’t edible because they were over cooked, also hardly any meat on them anyways. The burger was simply a burger but my boyfriend’s fries were cold. Katie quickly got us some new ones but hot fries the first time would be nice. Just wasn’t worth the price point, even with our coupon.
Great service, but TERRIBLE food with incredibly INSANE and unrealistic prices. No wonder the restaurant was empty. Just awful.
Ok service. Clean. I ordered a burger with Jack Daniels sauce. It was way too sweet and sticky for my liking.
Take out
Bad business! Added 17% tips + Tourism fee on takeout.
Our server was nice and the food was really good. We shared a ceasar salad, the cajun pasta, and a strawberry cheesecake. We also ordered two alcoholic beverages. This was definitely enough food for us to split. This cost us over $100(CA),$80(USA): their prices are inflated. However, this is one of the few places, in the Fallsview Tourist area, that serves food until 2am.
Simultaneously the most expensive and the worst meal I've ever had. When I saw the food I felt like I'd just dropped a $100 into the trashcan. But even that might've been a better alternative considering the likelihood of me finding better food in there.
Had a good burger with blue cheese and poutine which was also good... however, its extremely expensive
While definitely pricey, great food and portions with a very nice setup, amazing hospitable staff!
Disappointing. Way overpriced. They add an 8% service tax ontop of the regular 13% HST.
Exciting vibes. Affordable prices. Delicious food. Good location.
Came here on Boxing Day, so the wait was decent relatively speaking. Overall service is good. Portions, however, do not reflect their menu descriptions. Meat is generally overcooked. Pasta sauce was slightly salty, but acceptable overall. Front of the house is being held back by the food quality coming out of the kitchen. Do not recommend as a first choice.
Ordered their burgers and I was super satisfied with them. The staff was friendly and I very much enjoyed the atmosphere =)
Prices are ridiculously high. Our server although efficient, had no patience. I had kids with me, he didn't seem to want to answer questions about their order. Food was good, filling.
Foods a little pricier than we thought, but our waiter was pretty great!!!
The table I was with was split on our review. Some food was good, some wasn't. Floor had trash and food everywhere.
Absolutely delicious. We celebrated our wedding anniversary with family. The pasta dish I ordered. Absolutely sinful????
Burgers and fries were really delicious and good quality. The staff were nice. We got seated quiet short time back in July. The serve time was good as well. Just the menu was a bit pricy. Overall, I would go again.
It was disgusting and my stomach didn't like any of it either.... $30 for the Cajun salad and I would have rather gone to McDonalds. Staff never asked how my food was...it would take a lot for me to consider going there again or to any TGIF as I'm sure they don't care once they've got your money!!!
First time eating at TGIF. Awesome good. Great friendly service. BUT prices are very steep because of its location. Otherwise I would've given it 5 stars.
Expensive but that's to be expected on the strip. The food was absolutely amazing. Honestly I haven't enjoyed a meal out like this in ages, I had no complaints about the food at all and the staff were incredibly friendly. I'm only not rating five stars because they were young and liked to hang out and chat which is absolutely fine because it was slow but they did so at the entrance of the restaurant. Which was sorta in the way and unprofessional.
It wasn't the commercial. Friendly staff, but slow, even though it was not busy. WAY over priced for standard chain food!
No kids menu although it's a family attraction place, very small portions compare to the prices they charge, only thing is a good service... Nothimg like Friday's in the states....wouldn't waste my time ever again.
The food was ok but it was over priced. I ordered half a rack of ribs and it was the smaller half off a rack I have seen. My girlfriend ordered the jack Daniels burger and the bacon on the burger was so thin it was see through. An $18.00 burger should not have see through bacon. The service was ok but I recommend going somewhere else if you are going to spend $100.00 on dinner.
Went because we had a coupon through out hotel. Service was terrible. Took 15 minutes to be aknowleged by a server even though there were 10 servers talking near the entrance to the kitchen the entire time. Food is extremely overpriced (side salad is $17 USD!!!!!) Definitely would not recommend if your not a millionaire.
Overall service was awesome but the food quantity versus price was way too much...
This TGI Fridays location is pleasant and cozy. The staff are courteous and helpful. The menu is usual TGI Fridays fare but missing a very important item they have at other locations at least in the US, waffle fries. I thought I would find it here but it was not available. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and was not disappointed. The service is fast and the food is fresh and comes piping hot. They should seriously consider offering the waffle fries to me it's a TGI Fridays icon.
a specific employee was very rude, he threw our receipt because we weren’t a 7 group of people but we were 5 , he got rlly upset and tried to charge us more even though the food wasn’t real (it wasn’t seasoned) i do not recommend!
Had a really bad experience here on a Friday of all days! Lol. My burger was basically raw. They asked for the room number as they were not letting us dine in as it was 9pm and they close at 10. When asked if they would call up to the room when food was ready they said thats why they needed the room number. After waiting 45 minutes for their call we decided to call them only to have them say our food has been ready for 30mins and it was getting cold. The 17% tip they add on top of this puts this on the list of worst food experiences so far. Just look at the picture of how under cooked the burger was.
One of the top 3 WORST restaurant experiences in my entire life! The Perfect Word To Describe This Place Is "Disgusting" Me, my wife and our daughter went to Niagara Falls recently for a "fun" weekend and while there we decided to stop for lunch and I picked TGI Friday's because I've never been to one before and wanted to try it after watching the restaurant chain's commercials and seeing how much fun people that went there were having and the happiness in their faces. So we did...and went through the front doors and that's where our experience started to become surreal in terms of really bad service and even worse food. Come with me here as I describe our experience... I saw about half a dozen waitresses clustered around a cash talking with one another and after waiting about two minutes at the sign that asks you to wait beside it in order to be seated one of them finally noticed us while in the midst of having fun chatting with her co-workers, concentrated on getting the sudden look of annoyance off of her face, came over and asked us to follow her. Its a fairly large place: there must be over a hundred tables there and only about half a dozen of them were being used and of course I had just seen six serving staff earlier but our hostess placed us beside a table filled with a rowdy bunch of noisy teenagers that seemed to be involved in an informal competition to see who could be the most loud and obnoxious. All of the other customers were close to us too in adjacent tables and we were all close to the doors for the kitchen. How efficient! More time to hang out at the cash and gab!!! Immediately after sitting down I told my wife how unhappy I was already with my choice of restaurants and that I wanted to leave before our waitress arrived and we became more committed to staying but she said that she was really hungry and asked me to wait and give the food a chance. About five minutes after sitting a waitress broke away from the gabfest and came to our table to start taking our order. Then we waited. And waited. And finally our waitress brought our drinks. Immediately after that and almost simultaneously with losing our ability to simply get up and leave the hostess seated a family beside us with a crying baby and two little kids.. And they were right beside us and we were all close to the kitchen doors. Yay hostess!!! Then we waited some more. And I could hear my wife's stomach growling. Then we waited some more. I noticed that our daughter who is five had completely colored in the picture with crayons the hostess had given her when we first arrived. It was the size of a place mat. Then we waited a bit more. Finally our waitress came back: Our food had arrived! And guess what? It tasted bad and was already cold!!! Yay again waitress! Our waitress caught me by surprise when she took the time to break away from the other servers hanging out at the cash in order to come back about five minutes after serving us our food and ask me what I thought of our lunch meal and I instantly replied "disgusting" because I had been thinking about how I would describe the food there just before she asked then she got a look of surprise on her face and asked me if I was joking and I said, "No, not at all". She really did seem surprised that we hadn't "Hoovered" the food like dumb tourists visiting Niagara Falls are supposed to do. In summary, even if I was starving for food and TGIF was the only restaurant available to eat at I think that I would get better value for my money by taking it out of my wallet and chewing on it until I could swallow it rather than spending it at a TGIF. I know that the looks on our faces while we were there and especially after we left probably had little similarity to those people in the company's commercials. Do I really need to tell you at this point not to eat here? Hopefully not because I can assure you its nothing like in the commercials.
Famous by hamburger, but I ordered Salad. Nice service, noisy, Yes, it is Friday, let us make some noise!:)
Check your bill! I ordered a house wine priced at $10 when we got our bill they charged us $14. I addressed it to the waitress who went to the manager, when she came back with the new bill the wine was still $11! Will never go back!! This place does not honor the price!
Lets start with location. Niagara falls, tourist area, located in a hotel and an American restaurant chain in Canada. Prices will be high. We were seated promptly. Waiter was excellent. Shared a quesadilla(very good) and chicken fajita tower( didn’t have enough chicken but still good). Also shared dessert. It would have got 5 stars but almost $90 CAN. Definitely Not worth it.
Food quality.....esp french fries was not good. Sort of stale and brownish fries.
Looking for a place to just kill time and be ignored by all the servers? Check out TGI Fridays! Come sit on the dingy red seats and read your book, take a nap, eavesdrop the latest high school drama from the bus boys - whatever you want! If you're feeling hungry and want to be acknowledged? Then AVOID this place.
expensive and terrible service. will never eat here again!
Overpriced and my food was cold, I wasn’t very happy about that. But the staff was friendly and welcoming which made up for the cold food that cost me $70
HORRIBLE. Never eat here. Everything on the menu is extremely over priced. Cocktails are $20.. Which is absolutely absurd. I ordered a salad, expecting it to be fresh and nice looking. The waitor brought me the worst looking salad I have ever seen in my life. It was bagged frozen iceberg lettuce.. They gave me ALL the end pieces of the lettuce. It was browning, barely any vegetables. And the vegetables that were in it, came from a bag. I asked the waitor to take it away and refused to pay for it. My boyfriend ordered a simple burger and a beer. The burger was not very good, over cooked. So for just my boyfriends burger and beer (since I got my salad taken off the bill) came to $40. For a burger. Get real. This was the worst experience at a restaurant I have ever had. This place gets a rating of -10000.
10 out of 10 ! Great service and food. Wings were excellent. Friendly staff and a great food choice when staying at Four Points Niagara. Try the Thornbury amber beer!
Best food in Niagara pricey but worth every pe y Staff work for the customer
Terrible service terrible food. Some food never arrived. Ribs were $40 buck and were the smallest "full" rack I've ever seen. Save yourself the disappointment.
This is the worst TGI. We ordered chicken fajitas but picos was bad with rotten tomatoes. Their waiter explained that the cook made that once a day in the morning and he cannot do anything. This restaurant should be banned from doing business. Do not go to this one.
Service was great just wish the food wasn't so pricey <\3.
I am a young kid who works hard for his money just like every other person. For me, $30 is a lot to spend on a pasta, but I wanted to reward myself so I made the decision. When the pasta came ( Cajun Shrimp and Chicken Pasta ) I was very disappointed that it tasted very poorly and that the portion was very small. I asked the lady to make it extra creamy and instead it was dry. Taste was overall bad, waitress was also slow and lazy when it was empty.. I don’t recommend this restaurant, I left disappointed along with my friends, seems like this Friday’s is just a “name”
Not satisfied at all. Food tasted like it was cooked hours ago and warmed up using microwave. Nfdf fee, which is not enforced legally, was told mandatory. Even considering this is tourist city, Some menu items have outrageous price (which I ordered, expecting something great/worth the money) and was worse than local franchise food I could get for half the price. I wouldn’t visit this place again.
i had an excellent experience the other night. my server mackenzie was the best ive ever had and another server named ellie helped me out. the blonde cashier with glasses was really nice and gave me good suggestions on where to visit in the falls. cajun pasta was excellent, props to the chefs in the back, you guys are superstars! also the man by the name of savio was very hardworking and ran around the restaurant like no tomorrow.. he's hilarious 10/10, deserves employee of the month. also the young man dancing around with the beard was awesome (i think his name was kevin). props to the manager robyn for hiring all these amazing staff, you rock and this place is phenomenal! excellent staff, can't wait to come back. also really liked how the server at the table next to us introduced himself and set down cocktail napkins, really felt like fine dining (great work joshua).
Ordered soup and nachos. Salsa dip came in 2 thimble sized cups. Chips were stale. Soup tasted like it came out of a can. Bill came to $28 USD. Don't stop here unless you're desperate.
Overpriced $12.00 draught beer and $9.00 kids French fries but service was friendly
Worst food everrrrrrrrrr. Honestly, me and my friends usually go through the reviews of restaurants before going but for this place even though the reviews were bad, we still decided to go and give this place a try. We were absolutely disappointed, the food was literaly bland. They don’t really have any sauce on their burgers and their chicken wings had some foul smell. I never mind paying on the higher side for food if its good but I was so disappointed to pay for such horrible food. It is so expensive according to the quality of the food they serve. Oh and our server was extremely rude and passing on some really weird comments in the conversation. I wish I remembered her name but she was a mid aged lady with short/medium hair. This place was my first restaurant to visit in Ontario as I flew from BC and it definitely didn’t go well!!
Cold. No music playing. Felt clinical.
Tonight we came to fridays Quality was very bad all of the lettuce and chickens was old and price was very high I never come back to this restaurant????????I payed for 1 salad and 1 french frise with chicken 70 $????
Gratuity included is fine with me, when there is something worth paying gratuity for. Spent half an hour waiting for a drink, then another half hour for cold wings, then tipping was mandatory..
Staff is great, However I have no idea how they justify the prices. Family of 4 with a coupon cost 120, the kids mac and cheese is maybe a quarter box of KD you buy at the store for 80 cents no side, no drink included. Their burger is identical to Harvey's however for triple the price. On top of all the outrageous prices they try and tac on a tourist tax .
Way over price in regular Friday the prices are 1/3 of the prices that are there... I think they have several menus depends on the costumer if the costumer has 20 dollars discount from the hotel then they bring out the higher price menu then normal. and it was super empty when I was there so that must be the reason for the too high prices.
I like the signature chicken plate, but I think it is a little expensive for what you received. Everything else was fine.
Very clean and nice customer service
Go somewhere else! Awful food. The burger tasted like microwave hamburger with not salt. The chicken strips were pitiful. Worst meal I've had in a long time.
I ordered a medium rare steak and it turned out to be chewier than a medium well one. What the hell.
Price gouging at its finest... literally everything on their menu is double what you pay at a tgi fridays in the u.s. and on top of that the food tasted stale and reheated. Only good thing about this place is they have a friendly staff. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
Staff was super friendly but bit pricy
We saw the reviews were not great but we were too tired to find something else. The reviews were not wrong. The serivce wasn't good - we waited almost 10 minutes to be seated and eventually walked into the restaurant to find someone to sit us. The food was bad and the price was outrageous!
Decent food, but be warned that there's a 17% "tip" (19% after tax) automatically added on that they don't warn you about when you order.
Food was poor quality for prices. Beer was sour. Ordered a burger and poutine, burger was soggy from being covered in gravy and had terrible taste. Table was sticky upon arrival & not clean.
I just got the food from Ubereats, nothing special for the prices they charge.
The service was okay but the food was awful, we got chicken fajitas and wings. You build the fajitas yourself and everything was lacking flavour. The wings were okay but only because of the jack Daniels sauce. It was overpriced and I won't be back, not to mention the special tax you get charged in niagara.
Will never go to this location on take out order they charged me 17% time . When I requested it removed they would not they also put a tax NFDF fee which they removed .. This is a scam and for take out they force you to pay a tip .. I WILL never go back Locals beware . If I could give a zero I would
Worst TGI Friday’s I’ve ever been to. Apart from the excessive price, food was not top notch. Our server was not very nice or customer friendly. We were not offered water as is customary with almost all restaurants, I looked at the table beside us that she was serving too and she didn’t offer them either. When the food finally arrived she never checked back to see if we wanted anything else we had to keep calling her. I told her it was my bday and she didn’t even seem too happy n at first said they don’t offer anything for birthdays then she remembered the sundae. When she brought it out she just gave it to me with no form of “excitement”. My friends didn’t enjoy their food either. I’ll never go back here did not enjoy my time. Do not go to this location.
Service and Atmosphere were absolutely terrible. Even management were just sitting around doing nothing. Planned on staying for dinner but stayed for one drink and left. Booths were not cleaned and did not feel sanitary, would never recommend the location at the embassy suites in Niagara Falls.
Meal type
They had a limited menu because of Covid, I would not recommend their blue cheese burger. There was WAY too much blue cheese sauce and it made the burger inedible. The service was great though!
Over expensive, got wings and a veggi burger for $ 60. It is like highway robbery.
Overpriced mediocre meals
Just a note about our visit. We have been TGI patrons and Rewards members for 15 years and live in Cincinnati, OH. We found the restaurant the worst Fridays we have ever visited. Burgers were overcooked and dry. Everything was way overpriced and we were surprised our stripes are not valid. Even realizing the inflated prices at an attraction we would never recommend this restaurant. Contact email on Friday's receipt not valid. Drinks are priced sky high. Tepid staff.
Way way too overpriced for what is terrible pub food. 90 dollars for half a rack of ribs a burger and 2 glasses of sangria is just extortionate. it says a lot when the table of 8 beside you are all drinking water and sharing meals between 2. service was average, nothing to write home about no sense of engagement with the customer just their to do the bare minimum and expect a large tip. atmosphere is bad no vibe or feel from the place on a weekend night just like being in a large diner at lunchtime with the lights up the full nd awful music just about breaking the lack of atmosphere
⚠️Be sure to check your bill before making a payment to avoid double tipping.⚠️ Even if you place a takeout order, tips are automatically added. When paying with the card machine without showing the detailed receipt, they ask for a tip again from the bill that has already charged a 17% tip.
Poor service, food value wasn't what up to par for top dollar prices we paid. Only good thing from our trip there was the manager was super easy to work with resolving our issue.
A bit pricey but the food is top-notch as far as pub fare goes. Pretty good selection of beer, amazing atmosphere and a very large dining area. Very spacious bar area as well with lots of TVs all over the place. Very cool and unique selection of cocktails as well. Service was decent too; restaurant was busy and pretty packed but the wait time for our food was not too bad.
This TGI Friday's has an entrance from the lobby of the hotel. It has a sign to please wait to be seated. We tried on two different days, we waited and waited. At one point there was even two other couples waiting with us and still no one came. Now the restrauant is near empty and employess saw us waiting. So I guess the please wait to be seated means nothing. We ate somewheres else both day. I guess they dont need the buisness here.
Great service wonderful waiter
As ever with TGI Frdays you get what you pay for and if it's huge portions then this is your place. Can highly recommend the Long Island Iced Teas
My family and I stopped in on Tuesday the 28th. So needless to say the place wasn’t busy at all. There were seven of us so we were VERY visible. The staff was standing around socializing (knowing we were there, we made eye contact with several employees) and when finally someone did come (at which point we were turned off) I as doing a head count and the gentleman actually just walked away. We walked out and I don’t recommend anyone to waste their time with such poor service. To management, retrain staff. I would not want to see what the rest of my visit would have been like if the beginning was that bad.
Great atmosphere BUT THEY CHARGE YOU 17% if you want to take any food out.... This is ridiculous. All they are doing is putting the food in a carton and then they want to change you an extra 17% just so they can get a tip. Ridiculous
Went here just after midnight. Food was amazing. Staff was some of the best I'd seen for any restaurant. It's definitely pricey but We eat here almost every time we come to the falls and it never disappoints. Last night just happened to go above and beyond.
I am usually not the one to write reviews because i myself manage a restaurant but i was disappointed tonight. I have been to fridays in Canada also in Mira flores, Peru. And doesnt matter what country they have always been amazing. Clean restaurant, Upbeat fun loving servers and great food! This time was different.. our server was polite but took forever with the drinks . The first couple drinks came pronto but the second order came 15 minutes after our meal. (Didnt even want it at that point) also.. he did not check up on us after we recieved our food.. to ask if the food was good or if we needed anything else. So i waited maybe 20min for sour cream since he did not bother to come back to our table but by that time my steak was cold. Also my friends drink didnt arrive. I had to call another server asked simply for our beer and he said ill get your server i said its ok im over it just need the beer and the bill. He said sorry about that turns out your server has left. Which is odd if he did he wouldve billed us prior to leaving his shift. Or assigned us to anyone else. Didnt matter. So after i complained politley i overheared the other server talking abour my table with the other staff (so professional?) . It is a long weekend so i wouldnt mind if they were slammed i understand but it wasnt at all and they were mostly talking amongst eachother. When i checked in into embaeassy suites they gave us a voucher to discount food from several restaurants, one including FRIDAYS i declined it. Too late for that. Will probably not be back .. unless its in Peru lol. Thanks anyways guys! Goodluck
Went to TGIFriday Embassy Lobby on Sunday August 2 , 2020 and our server Tanner T. was amazing he was very friendly and polite, very professional and the food was delicious and great price. Will definitely be back the next time we come back to Niagara Falls ????
Overpriced, besides they were pushing me a lot to eat my meal and drink my beer fast by coming every 3 minutes to ask "Is everything alright?". They didn't even ask if I wanted the bill, they just printed the receipt and 5 minutes later handed me the card machine with half a pint of beer still in the glass.
Not worth it all for night take outs. Food was ready to be taken out in less than 5 mins which was very great and exciting in the beginning but when we tried the food it was so so so bad in taste and not at all worth the money. Cajun pasta was the worst.
Food is delicious, service is fast, but what strike me is the waitress who immediately starts to gossip about one table to another table after they leaved immediately, she was talking about how they got 4 shots and she can’t do that except if she gonna DANCE !!!!!!! I can’t imagine that a waitress would talked about my orders in my back with “another table”!!!!!!!!! SO RUDE
Food was basic and of underwhelming quality. 7 dollar slushy is just minutemaid juice with crushed ice. Potato skins cost $2.30 per skin. Everything was overpriced by a long shot, service was questionable with us waiting for 15 minutes to even be asked for our drinks. Restaurant area was not separate from the bar so while eating with my child we could hear ridiculously loud drunk people. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, you're better off going to McDonald's. Thank God Its Friday?? More like "I hope its Monday" it was terrible.
Table was still sticky upon arrival and a chair had visible redue left on the cushion. The price was ridiculously high for the quality. Beer was sour and flat; when asked for a replacement (supposedly a different brand) and returned tasting the same. A burger was so soggy that the bun couldn't be used. Burger and kid's pizza tasted as if cooked from frozen in a microwave. Gratuity was included in our receipt, but was not notified of this and almost tipped a second time. (Not sure if this is normal for the area, but I was not impressed)
Pricey but serving size is good. Poor soup selections and steak was on the dry side. Kids menu was the usual for most restaurants... Lack flavour and not super healthy choices to choose from
I think the only thing that was worth what I paid portion wise was the dessert. When going out to lunch I dont normally expect to pay $50 when dining alone. I ordered a coffee, chicken quesadilla as a starter and brownie for dessert. All tasted good but $20 for a starter size meal is alot of money especially when a 13% tax is added to the total bill. Definitely not worth it.
Food is nothing special, the menu really needs work. On top of that two people dining are looking at over $100 easily. Prices are way to high for what you get. I have no problem paying for top quality food, however this place is far from top quality.
ridiculously expensive and missed most my order. plus they added there own gratuity ,300.00 for a disappointing dinner
It was great i love the steak
Wouldn't know how the food tasted because the service was horrendous. Walked in behind a couple who were waiting for 10 minutes at which point we found out they were a group of 5 because the other 3 went looking for the hostess. When the hostess did return she ignored them and asked for our names. We gave them to her and then she disappeared again. Didn't tell us how long the wait would be or anything. We waited 10 minutes and she didn't return so we started to leave, the above mentioned group also decided that this was a good time too leave too. Service sucked, flat out sucked. Go to the pizza place a block down. They were awesome there.
The portions were so small. I felt like I ordered a kids meal and was still hungry after my chicken sandwich meal. The server was friendly but could of used more help on the patio.
Great patio area, large & nicely spaced out. Started with loaded potato skins which were really nice & fully loaded, went onto bacon cheeseburger for me - which was fabulous - & turkey club sandwich for my hubby, it was definitely packed but the meat lacked any flavour whatsoever which was the only downside.
Have been calling this establishment repeatedly for the last three days to inquire about some information since I'm coming fem out of town and nobody has even picked up the phone once. Poor customer service prior to even entering the restaurant.
Worst food and drinks at a hotel location. Mocktail drink tasted like sugar water and food was very bad.
Saw that the reviews for this establishment were not very acceptable, but decided to go anyways. The prices did NOT justify the quality of the food; it was overcooked and tasted as if it was cooked hours ago. The dining area was nearly empty, the only other people seemed to be those from the nearby Marriott. Way too many employees congregating at the entrance due to the fact they have almost nothing to attend to inside the restaurant. The experience was a complete disappointment and is NOT recommended for tourists. Take your money & time elsewhere.
Extremely overpriced and not helpful service. Sorry, I wouldn’t pay $23 for a burger that I could get at McDonald’s.
I loved the blackened chicken Alfredo service was a bit slow but very nice servers. Ya price wise a little high but best Alfredo in that area and since it's my favorite is worth the money . All the restaurants are about the same price but it was good
They wanted to charge us 17% when we asked to have our food to go, this is just not right, our bill was 74.57 and they wanted that on top of it, we will never eat there again,
Awesome atmosphere, live music great entertainment, great place to laugh and have a great time!
I'll start with service was great! Eden is very nice. The food is abysmal. The garden salad was an actual joke. The shrimp pasta had 2 pieces of shrimp in it. The soup was very very salty. I do not recommend.
The vegetables we're at least a week old ... The burger was like wet carpet , and the fried chicken smelled like reused oil. we ended up paying 230 for 4 people. Not recommended.
Non-tasty food, too expensive but the service was excellent.
This was TGI Fridays of old. Here in my area, it seems the menu is all about pasta and appetizers. This menu has chicken and salmon with their signature sauce, real mashed potatoes, not fries and VEGETABLES! I enjoyed every bite of my grilled Salmon. It was within walking distance near our hotel, near the Casino and many other places, even on the bus route! Our server and service was great! I took a star away because it was expensive!
17% tip included on take aways? I could have done Uber eats and that would have been cheaper
Burger was burnt, burn was stale, quesadilla was awful, worst place I have ate at in10 years, never eating here again ayover priced
Visited for July 1 for 150th year for Canada and everything went wrong with this place. Didnt get to see the fireworks and lost money. Slow service, wont visit there again
Love the food choices on their menu. Spacious dining area throughout.
I wish that I could put less than 1 star. If you wish to eat medium-rare chicken, you can try this place. It is overpriced for the service and food. I wish If I had McDonald's for the dinner instead of eating here ????.and agree with reviews mentioning big mosquitos ????
Absolutely filthy. As soon as we walked in we realized this. Food and trash all over the floor. We went ahead and sat down because there wasn't much else open and we were staying in the hotel. Sat for 15 minutes with no service but 2 other groups came in and had service immediately. We finally ordered drinks and when they came my wife's drink had flies in it. Not just one. We asked for a manager but there was not one there that night. We asked the waitress to cancel our orders and left. She was very policy and apologitic.
Didn't receive shrimp for my paste. Burger was also over cooked and dry! French fries were all stuck together as if it came from a frozen bag. I would not recommend this place for food.
Good food and very nice staffs!
Take out
WORST FOOD I've ever had AND EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! The only reason they got a star is because you need to give something in order to post a review. My family and l are visiting the area for a mini family get away and decided to go to T.G.I.F on Fallsview avenue for dinner. We ordered chicken quesadilla plate and an 8oz steak with Caesar salad only plus three drinks and we were shocked when we were presented with a bill of $103!!! We paid 103 dollars for a bland tiny piece of steak that tasted like cardboard and a few pieces of quesadillas with some mushy "guacamole"! I like to dine out quite a bit but this was the worst dinning out experience I've ever had. I like to read reviews before booking hotels etc. and I blame myself for not checking out the reviews before going to TGIF. I will never ever go there again and I will definitely pass the word around. TGIF on Fallsview avenue next to the Embassy Suites in Niagara falls is a complete rip off. Don't go there!
Food and service were decent, but prices were as obscene as other reviews would lead you to believe. For such high prices, serving sizes were also not at all generous.
When you try the food you say OK so it's normal food, but when you see what they make you pay for this normal food, you feel totally robbed. I'm not here to say bad things about the service falsely, I'm here to warn people so that they don't end up selling a kidney to pay for average food. We went yesterday with friends and we all got appetizers, only one person ordered a chicken sandwich (they didn't like it at all!). Our food actually cost 100 CAD but we ended up paying 192 CAD! I mean this is robbery! They force you to pay 17% in tips plus a tax on this forced tip plus other taxes. Would never go there again!
Be aware with their a mandatory tip!!!! Even you order take-out food, they still put 17%of tips automatically without telling you. They won’t tell you anything about mandatory tip.
HOLY COW PRICEY! 2 people--> 1 mozzarella sticks appetizer 1 chicken finger meal 1 chicken sandwich 2 waters BEFORE TIP $54 (US)
Very disapointed and expensive for not that much i order chicken wing they arrive half cook than the waitress is actually saying shes been having problem with uncook wing a few time insted of telling me not to order than she replace them with jalopeno poper and found a hair in it not to mantion burn ribs and hard as rock steak no way il ever go back stay away
On Saturday May 30th, 2020 my partner and I checked into the Embassy Suites for one night. Upon check-in we were given a coupon for $30.00 off of a meal at TGI Friday's in the lobby of the hotel. At 7:02pm, I called from our room and placed an order for pickup. With the discount of $30.00, our total was calculated at approximately $30.00. I was told the order would be ready in approximately 20 minutes. At around 7:25pm, my partner and I headed to the restaurant to pickup our order, however, there was a lineup and we waited almost 20 minutes for our order. Upon cashing out, the gentleman working handed me the debit machine without a copy of my receipt and the total on the machine was $51.92. Realizing that the total was almost $10 more than it was said to be, I questioned the gentleman as to whether or not that is the correct total. He responded yes - no other explanation. My partner and I wondered if the pricing on their website was incorrect, however, there was a paper menu right beside the machine and it was exactly the same as I previously saw online. We tipped 10% on the takeout and then requested a copy of our bill/receipt. The gentleman stated that he threw it out, when in fact, we saw him place it with the other receipts. He hesitantly reprinted the receipt and handed it to me face down. My partner and I headed back to the room while looking at the receipt. When we got back to our room, we saw that there was a charge of 17% for a tip which is why our total was so high. We were furious because not only is there no sign posted anywhere, they don't have their policy in writing, the gentleman is not providing a copy of the receipt, and when he was questioned as to why our total was so high, we STILL were not told there was a 17% tip charged for takeout in order for him to receive an additional tip without our acknowledgement. Not only were we scammed out of pocket 17%, but because of the kind of people we are, we willingly tipped 10%. During such unprecedented times of the pandemic, this was very deceiving. 17% of our money was taken without our consent or knowledge, nor does the restaurant have it posted anywhere in writing. If they are not telling customers about the 17% charge and customers are leaving an additional tip, can you imagine how much money the restaurant is scamming per shift and these employees are taking home every night?! On a single receipt they were tipped almost 30% on take-out, 17% of which was not consented. My partner and I went back down to the restaurant and confronted the employee. I stated "You don't have signs anywhere, nor did you notify us of the charge, and you know exactly what you did and why you did it. He nodded his head yes and his face turned red. We were given our "tip" back by the hotel manager, but I felt as though this was not enough for being deceived. We felt robbed! Not only is it immoral, but unethical. I immediately emailed the manager - Robyn, and requested she give me a call. Robyn immediately called me and apologized profusely, requesting that we meet her the following day to resolve the issue in hopes that "we can resolve the matter without escalation or without you feeling the need to go public with this". Robyn assured me that they charge 17% tip on take-out, but the employees are suppose to be providing a receipt, or at least notifying customers of this charge. I told Robyn that her employee had the opportunity to notify us of this charge when I initially questioned the total on the machine, but he did not in hopes of scamming an additional tip for his pocket. After a 10 minute phone call with Robyn and running back downstairs to confront the employee and hotel manager, our food was cold and tasted terrible. We did not eat either meals and ended up ordering through Skip the Dishes. The next day when we went to meet Robyn, she accused us of lying about the consumption of our meals, she was rude, and very unprofessional. She had a different attitude than she did on the phone. How can a restaurant and employees treat customers this way, especially during a pandemic.
Had a lunch here with my friends. The NY strip steak is really moist and tender with 2 choices of sides. Ribs little bit too dry tho but the bbq sauce is okay. Grill salmon is really nice too. Overall the food is just okay and can be improve little bit. Our server is really nice, didn’t catch her name but she made sure that everything is okay. This could be a better experience just because when we arrive the hostess is not even there, so we had to go inside and ask them whether they open or not. Plus point patio is really nice.
Not as great as they used to be - far more limited drink menus, and poor mask management among both staff and customers.
My friend and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat. The host promptly seated us and then our server popped over to take beverage orders. The server Joanne (Jo) was incredible! She was funny and helpful. Food and beverages were served quickly and our food soon followed. The food was great! Everything about our experience was awesome. With the damned virus I have so missed eating out. This experience was worth the wait!
Was seated in an almost empty restaurant. Ten minutes later the one working waiter approached to take our order after I was started down by five waiters doing nothing.
Thr absolute rudest service i have ever received at an establishment of any sorts in my life. My family and I visited a few weeks ago and waited 20 minutes to be seated despite there not being a line to be seated. When i asked the hostess what was taking so long, i apparently offended her and she walked off like i wasnt there. I asked to speak to the manager who turned out to have a worse attitude than his employee. I will never ever go back to this place and recommend that you do not as well. We eneded up eating at some mediterranean restaurant inside the casino food court down the street. Food was excellent there and their service was even better.
Disappointed!! Food wasn’t the greatest and my husband and my self are huge FRIDAYS Fans. Not only were we placed by the door during this weather, every time guest from the bar went out to have a smoke a gust of wind would hit our table making our food cold. The waiter was great, he was friendly. But I didn’t come to Fridays just for a waiter I came for the food. The PRICES are high compared to other Fridays. And the Quality Of the food is terrible. Our 4 loaded potatoe skins weren’t “loaded” literally looked like they took the smallest potatoe they had and cut into fours. Hardly any cheese on it or bacon. DRY. Compared to others locations near by I was blow away. We always order the loaded skins and the display and quality of them was not worth the money. “Plus they were super dry and hard.” Let me also say the Seseme strips where gross. We are also HUGE fans of this app. They looked like literally shearded chicken breast fired. Hardly toss in sauce very dry also, and keep in mind I’m comparing to other locations we have been to near by. I paid $23.00 for this dish. An APP! That was gross and we didn’t even finish it. When I question why it was so expensive I was told the location is privately owned and operated, meaning .... The Quality Of food and prices May very. “ MAY VERY” huge difference. We paid $103.75 for two apps , a plain cheese burger and chicken burger. I could have gone to THE KEG for this price and eaten a steak. I was blown away, because for that cost. At other locations my husband and my self always leave FULL and satisfied ( And also purchased way more food ) We literally purchased 4 items In which 2 of the four where GROSS and nothing like the Fridays we know and love. We enjoy Fridays and never been disappointed till today. I will not be back at this location ever. And I don’t recommend it. For pricing to quality of food ratio. It’s not worth it. Ps. Had nothing to Do with our waiter he was amazing. The food was just not to par , and pricing is not worth it. GO to another FRIDAYS !!
Amazing take out experience here. The staff was very friendly and the order was prepared so quickly. Everything was correct and the food was very fresh and warm still. Everything was delicious and made for a great meal.
Took my family for a night away in Niagara for mine and my wife's birthdays. Went to TGI's for dinner last night, ended up asking for it to go as our kids were getting fussy. $250 for 4 meals that were cafeteria quality. Our steaks were still bleeding when we asked for medium well, the potatoes were instant with cheese grated on-top, and the brocolli had some weird spice on them. I will never return to any TGI location. The waitress was rude when I asked a simple question. Staff and food are awful. I do not recommend going here.
very good attention, good food, bigportions, only the beer was faded with no flavor
My wife and I just went after we arrived at Niagara Falls and were starved. Server was fine but a bit hovering. Prices looked high but soared once some taxes were added. My wife and I both got fajitas that were some of the smallest I had ever seen. 4 tiny pieces of chicken and beef each. Even with voucher bill with 2 ice teas was around 60 USD. Definitely can get way better places to eat than here.
The 3 stars are because service was fast our waiter was very pleasant. The food was okay and obsurdly expensive unnecessarily. Prices are doubled at this location, I will never eat there again $90.00 for two adults and a child with no drinks, and no desserts.
Overpriced as expected. Food was lukewarm and tasteless. Server was rude and short with us. 2 stars due to hostess being nice.
The food is so expensive & not even worth it!! paid 130$ for only two plates. The steak was so dry & the ribs were not good!! there are better restaurant in the area. You will also have to pay 18% as a tip.
It's all great but the manager and service reps running around like both are lost is not very professional. Need better training.
The staff took their own time to attend us ,after we waited for 20 min. We ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta which tasted like chewed gum!! It was so bland and tasteless And a sandwich ( my 5 year old nephew can make a better sandwhich) Not worthy of price and time!!
Food is over priced and not fresh. We ordered 2 entrees and 2 drinks and the total came up to $90! The food was not hot and it came out rather quickly which told me it wasn't made fresh to order. There are other places to eat for a lesser price.
Typical TGIF. Medium quality food at slightly higher prices. Wonderful staff though. Very friendly and helpful. It's useful if you have a coupon or voucher from your hotel or similar so as to balance the quality and price value. Portions are generous.
DO NOT GO HERE .... The food was .... oh my... so bad and I wasted my money..... the pasta was horrible and the quesadillas were watery gooed up and sticky and looked like it was made hours ago.. We went in with high hopes and .. it just really wasn’t good. Please don’t go here.. unless you want to waste your money!!! :)
Typical TGI Fridays a little more expensive than normal since its near the falls but make sure you check your check because it will be in Canadian dollars and if I remember right the tip was included
Over priced and charges a Niagara Falls destination fee (NFDF). Not a mandatory fee but they make it so.
Food was delicious followed by a great dessert. Waitress was attentive and respectful ????????
Really bad and over priced. My money lost at the casino felt more worth it. I’m not even joking
Definitely not customer friendly, I always check reviews before I eat somewhere or buy something but let my guard down this time ,as this was a case of needs must as inside the hotel concourse we stayed in and didn't have the time to go anywhere else. Everything seemed a hassle for them down to the fact the restaurant was nearly empty and we could not choose where to sit. Food average. Went to have just a drink there and was made to feel unwelcome.
Service
Service from the waitress was wonderful! But from waiting to be seated and friendly family atmosphere was just not feeling it. Now the menu is very expensive for a family of 4 thats on a budget and trying to have a little getaway. 2 Mohitos cost $32 first of all jeez! So if your family is thinking of going here Please put away $200 bucks just for a basic dinner and don’t order anything alcoholic!
Soggy burger bun, translucent bacon, chicken only filled half the sandwich, insane prices. Will not be coming back.
Like the chain so ate here our first night in Niagara. Good not the best, service was ok, so overpriced.
Service
The place is big and service was friendly (I think our server was Kevin?) but the food is crazy over priced and tastes below average. Got the fish and chips ($29) and Veggie burger ($21) and Pepsi ($5). They validate your valet parking if you eat here which was probably the main reason we went to the place.
Great service with an empty patio today. Not much of a view as all you can see are the valet parking cars but food is decent and the long Island ice teas are strong! Would 100% recommend the jalapeno poppers - really tasty!!
Dinner
Dinner
Honestly the worst burger I've had in my life, no sauce, the veggies were all basic and costs 22$, don't go there
Our server was great! The food was decent. The prices are absolutely ridiculous! Never, ever again!!! Our family ordered 2 appetizers, a side of fries and 2 dinners and our bill was $184 ($154 American). Completely insane. This was our first stop on our trip and the prices definitely ruined our trip. I understand inflated prices in tourist areas but our total was triple what we normally pay at Friday’s. The prices, taxes and tourist fees in Niagara Falls make the experience not worthwhile. Eat somewhere else, go somewhere else and save yourself a fortune.
The food is waaay overpriced for the actual quality and that's before the tourist tax. Just barely above fast food. Avoid if possible.
Typical Friday's although a little expensive because of the touristy location. Nothing stands our but wasn't bad either. Kids liked the chicken fingers.
Dine in
Late review, but me and my fiancée were in Niagara in January. We chose this restaurant as we assumed the Raptors game would be on. It wasnt. We asked for a tv to be changed to the raps game but got declined from the waitress. After a few minutes, the manager came over and asked if we would mind moving to a larger, round booth with a perfect view of one of the tv's, featuring the raps game. We had never felt so accommodated at a restaurant before. Food was great, service was greater, and that goes a long way for us. 100% recommend!!
We saw all the negative reviews but decided to give it a shot anyways since it was getting late and we didn't want to leave the hotel. The food tasted great and came out right away and at first our experience was going well. However, our waitress rarely came and checked on us through the meal and never refilled a drink even though she was out and about and active in the dining room. After dropping off our bill, she didn't come back for another 20 minutes. But the second she saw we were paying with an luxury metal card for elites, her service level went through the roof. We see this all the time where we get discriminated for our young age. Service members must think we can't pay or give tips, and the second they realize who we are they try to make up for their horrible service.
Nice dinner with the kids. The staff was exceptional +++ ! Not cheap like everything around the falls...
Service was amazing g but $6.00 for a fountain pop?! $30.00 for fajitas? Screw that.
Wings tasted and looked like Jane's frozen wings that cost 9 bucks box. Menu said 20$ bill said 26 before tax. French fries tasted like canvindish. 3 bucks a bag. Would never return and you shouldn't go either
Food was disgusting. Pasta with blackened chicken tasted like the pasta had been cooked previously and then reheated. $32 for such a dish is ridiculous regardless if it’s Niagara Falls. My husbands meal was equally over cooked ... how can you mess up fries?? Then to add insult to the crummy food we were forced to pay the extra Niagara Falls improvement tax. We inquired and were told it was mandatory quite tersely by our waitress. The only thing pleasant was the fellow at the door that greeted and seated us. The rest was poor at best. $160 for 3 of us to eat. One shared appetizer and pop to drink. Never again. Avoid unless you like overpaying for crummy food.
The food here is way overpriced and the quality is sub-standard. I could have gotten a meal at the Keg for almost the same price
The best thing about this place and our meals was the water. It was nice and cold with a good slice of lemon wedge. The server took our drink order and took forever to bring over our waters even though we could see them sitting there on the bar counter for several minutes (the place was empty at this time, I think it was only us and another couple on the other side of the restaurant). I guess she was too busy talking about a previous customer with her co worker. The food is bland, overpriced and to be honest, just gross. My burger had ZERO flavour and the bacon on it was barely cooked and looked like microwave bacon. Ordered a garden salad as well, and the oil and vinegar dressing was yummy, but it was ruined by the disgusting “bacon” I paid to add on. It wasn’t actual bacon but the nastiest looking bacon bits I’ve ever seen. So that ruined my $15 salad. They should really note on the menu that the bacon is “bits” not real bacon (yes, there is a big difference TGI’s!) Extremely disappointed with this place, especially for the price that they charge. Avoid TGI Friday’s like the plague. Check out Antica wood oven pizza over near Clifton Hill instead (opposite kinds of food here, I know, but I promise you WON’T leave feeling disappointed and ripped off)! I wish I could give this place 0 stars.
Ordered Veg fajita which was bland and tasteless. Moreover it wasn’t served with rice or beans, I have been to many Mexican and American restaurants serving Mexican dishes but I have never seen a fajita served without rice and beans in North America.
19$ for 2 eggs breakfast. Coffee not included (another $4), breakfast came with 3 microwave bacon slices and unbuttered toasts, not a single piece of fruit/veggie.
Very cozy ambience. Our beef and chicken were very delicious. Margret gave us and outstanding service. We were celebrating the 60s of my partner. Our gigantic mojito and cider were lovely. Pricy all but worthy!!! Not far away from the attractions , only few minutes walking from the incline railway and in the hotels area.
Poor selection of food. Can't answer what we got cuz we looked at the choices and left
This is one of the worst places I have ever been. Way overpriced and quality of food is garbage. This whole place has a trashy feel to it. I would rather eat food from a convenient store. Do yourself a favour.. skip this place and get something decent for your money
Food here is awsome but let's be honest $20 for a burger and fries ???? that is just pathetic surprise they are still in business
Entered. Stood there for 5 minutes with my family. Bartender and 2 servers saw us. And just walked away. Stood for another 5 minutes and decided to leave. Absolutely terrible service.
I am literally so embarrassed that we ever gave money to this place. We had a $20 off from our hotel that we used on our bill. The waitress made a mistake and took $30 off our bill instead. My fiance did not notice and paid our bill and even tipped the waitress extra on top of the already included gratuity on our bill. When we were leaving a woman who I hope to god is not your manager CHASED us down yelling "excuse me excuse me" as if we did not pay our bill in front of other customers and asked us to pay for the mistake their waitress made. I went on to explain to her that my fiance had given her an extra tip and if they wanted the extra money they can take it out from her SECOND tip - there is NO WAY we are paying for her mistake. This terrible lady with the POOREST customer service skills proceeded to make me feel bad by asking "oh so you're saying she wasnt a good server she doesnt deserve her tip?" I told her nope - she doesn't deserve a SECOND tip if she made a mistake AND YOU GUYS ARE NOW CHASING DOWN ASKING YOUR CUSTOMER TO PAY FOR IT., on top of our meal already including a tip, she then just walked away and didn't say anything. Very condescending. I am shocked at what kind of service we got and will definitely let EVERYONE i know who visits Niagara Falls to stay FAR FAR FAR away from TGI Fridays. You need to properly train your staff, as that service was disgusting.
We were staying at the Embassy suites, ordered takeout (chicken fingers for the kids)...ended up being almost $27 (was $19 on the menu) as they charged SO many extras! tourist tax and a 17% tip for a takeout??!!! We also got a takeout at The Keg and the only extras they charged was the HST (no tourist tax or tip!). TGI Fridays is all abiut the money. absolutely disgusting..will never return here. Pure greed.
Waaaaaay too expensive, even for a tourist trap like Niagara Falls. Be prepared to spend big bucks for something simple like a burger and fries. Locals say Zappi's is really good instead.
Ordered the beer burger. I have a habit of eating fries first because they get cold faster. Took one bite of the fries and automatically knew the rest of the meal was going to be bad. Refried fries 100% and the burger was cold as ice, the plate was the only thing that was hot. I would have complained about the quality but my server came by as often as a solar eclipse. Water seems to be a luxury too because it seems like they don't want you to have it. Recommend to stay far away from here. Surprised embassy suites doesn't kick them out.
Meal type
For a drink that costs 12.00 cdn the strawberry daiquiri I had was good but you could not taste any alcohol.
One of the waiters was rude because I had children out late
17% tip for a take out order??? Shame on you TGIF and the staff. Pleases don’t go here to buy any food.
Major rip off! Wanted to order take out to carry up to our room at the Embassy Suites. I was informed they would add a 17% gratuity to our order! I asked why and was told "We do that". I let them keep their food. Way to traet your local customer base.
We looked at the menu, almost $19 for a breakfast plate!! Why does it cost so much for a couple of sausages and some eggs. We didn't even bother, turned right around and out the door.
My wife and I just finished eating here. It took forever to get our food. I asked the waitress what the fish was in the fish and chips. She told me halibut, wrong, I think it was haddock, and it was really fishy tasting. Keep it. The fries were cold and it was overpriced. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere. I give it two thumbs down.
Worst service of my entire life. Burger King would be better
Awful experience, it makes me think how they could be very careless in food quality. They served me rotten potatoes, yes rotten grilled potatoes, and this is after they messed up with the food order.
Worst ever, the salad was out of a bag and you could taste it.The menu outside the door has items not on menu inside.
Service was fantastic. Servers were extremely friendly, checking on my meal and refreshing my beverages. 5 star service, I would like to mention my portion size was much smaller than I expected for the price. Good food, slightly over valued for what was received.
The food is ok, the shake had more icecream than Oreo but I don't think that was intentional, they were probably short on oreo. The server was alright, felt he was grumpy. BEWARE... I read everything and looking at my receipt I noticed a charge right on top of the 13% tax, They charrge a NFDF of 8% (last picture I put up), if you are not aware it stands for Niagara Falls Destination Fee, it's an optional fee which you don't need to pay but the server said It's automatically added to all receipts. And I said then I wanted it taken off. The server played it nice and said that he will have his manager take it off. Literally 5 seconds later a new receipt was coming my way. Also they charged tax on top of NFDF (same picture). Here's an overall rating: *****First impression: 10/10, they get to you right away but I wish the experience remained the same. *****Server's friendliness: 5/10, he might have had a long day but we pay for an experience. *****Time between order and food arrival: 10/10, took about 8 - 10 minutes. Food quality: 2/10, I can honestly say sitting on my bed thinking about the food I just ate less than an hour ago, I can't remember the taste, it was almost tasteless, to give you a better example I can remember my last big Mac that I had 5 years ago much better than this food. Don't let the good photoshopped picture fool you. LoL Hours: 10/10, in my opinion they have good hours, they're open till 2am Monday-Saturday and 1am on Sundays. Price: 4/10, again I can eat McDonald's and have a better memory of the food. Overall, if you need to eat here then go for it. I found this out after, but there's a McDonald's/burger king/pizza hut/pizza pizza/kfc down the street (6-8 minutes from TGI Fridays, all next to each other). And they'd probably cost you less than half of what I paid.
Very expensive for what u get.....ordernuber eats from out of tourist area, save money and eat the same
Mandatory 17% gratuity / tip on Takeout orders. Service is ok
This had to be the worst possible choice for me while in Niagara Falls... Awful service and even worse food!
The food was nasty!! The steak was so dry and the chicken and shrimp pasta had a weird taste. I wouldn’t recommend this place!!
Came to TGIFridays with my wife, and can say this is an overpriced experience. She got their Cajun chicken/shrimp Alfredo pasta which was delicious but it was $30.00 Nothing at the falls will be cheap ... However the food was good and the service efficient. Would return again. Ask to remove the TIF off the bill. It's a tourist cost. Not needed.
The chicken quesadilla was amazing! Everything was fresh and so tasty. The servers were attentive as well. Great Friday night spent at Fridays????
Ordered Buffalo Wings 12pcs and Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta, 18 and 30 CAD respectively. The total went up to 66.04 due to surcharges.
We were not expecting much going here based on the Google reviews, but couldn't say no to the coupons our hotel provided... It was great. Our group of 12 got our food on time, enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Fajitas and California Club were two of our choices that were really good. They give each kids meal enough fries to feed an army, so adults: order a salad or other side and "borrow" from your child's plate. The only real complaint is the cost of beverages. We figured the food prices would be inflated because we're in Niagara Falls, but 4 bucks for a pop!! Get your free refills! Or bring a bottle of water! Our server was always there when we had a request and never disappeared to go chat with his co-workers, like some of the other reviews mention. Maybe they have a new manager?
Just don't go. The free valet is hardly worth the overpriced food. No view of the falls and clueless staff.
Talk about the worst service ever. Our waitress Ruthie was completely unprofessional and rude. Drinks and food took forever. Then to top it off there was an added gratuity on the bill. Why would I tip for poor service? Never coming back to the falls.
We stayed at Embassy Suites and decided to have takeout for dinner from this place. They charge 17% extra for pick up orders and add tip also. Did not realize until see the bill. Food is not bad but not worth for the price. Keg restaurant at the same hotel is worthier than this. They do not charge hidden fees
Ordered the Friday chicken and it tasted like it was frozen and microwaved for us. It was the worst meal I had in my entire life. I think prison food would be better than this. Also the total was $50 which is actually ridiculous.
Waitress very helpful & friendly. Just finished hiking the Niagara region & the burger hit the spot. It was a tad expensive but I'm guessing it is because the area is a major tourist attractions....too bad.
Very bad experience! I would never recommend For starters: food is tasteless and oily and very expensive too for low quality food. I ordered dinner for takeaway and there was no chicken quesadilla in the menu but she offered it on the phone after I couldn’t find what’s in the menu available then asked what was available and she said chicken quesadilla and I ordered it then I found out that contains BACON ( I don’t eat pork ) then I called back and the person answered the phone insisted that it doesn’t have bacon and only US locations do!! Then she passed the phone to someone else and she admitted it does and she said the first person is just a waitress and she doesn’t know! I requested an explanation to the confusion and why they never mentioned it has bacon ( again It wasn’t in the menu so I know, and it’s chicken quesadilla so I will assume it’s only chicken meat smh ) they said I must ask! I requested a refund and they said I must speak to a manager after one hour, I went downstairs and spoke to a manager ( Robyn Coens) , she was full of attitude and entitlement and at first said it’s my problem and job to ask if it has bacon and insisted that her employe will never say on the phone it doesn’t have bacon and waitresses never answer the phone ( so one of them is lying there) I requested a refund and manager said her machine is broken and I have to email her on Monday to issue the refund. I will never recommend this place to anyone ( bad costumer service and lack of details to inform different people with different food restrictions what they’re eating plus the food was not any good ).
I ordered the $20 bacon cheese burger and a $7 beer. The burger was small, and came from a frozen patty and was pretty tasteless. The beer was the smallest glass I've had at a restaurant. Everything was really low quality, and I would expect to pay maybe $14 for the burger and beer for this carnival quality food. While the prices are way over the top for the quality you will receive, the worst part of the experience is their mandatory tourist tax where they rape their customers for an additional 7% (I believe it was 7%). It should be noted that there is no regulatory body that implements or manages this tourist tax, or any insight to where or who the collected tax money goes. It is however, mandatory. I would advise visitors to try one of the smaller local restaurants that a) have better food, and b) appreciate your patronage.
The staff were friendly, but the menu has been reduced to 3 items that are offered in about 4 different ways each. Hopefully you like blackened chicken, because like Bubba's shrimp, there are a whole lotta ways to serve it here. This wouldn't be terrible except that they do that Niagara Falls thing where they charge Canadian prices in American dollars and then convert back to Canadian - a mildly seasoned chicken breast on a bun will run you about $40. But that's just Niagara Falls.
Dinner
Food was ok, service was good, atmosphere was alright but the prices are just too ridiculous.
Stayed at the Marriott Fallsview for a few nights and have came to TGI Friday’s twice now, excellent service and food! Shocked to see such low reviews, I’d definitely recommend them for an affordable lunch spot. Guess I should note we got burgers lol I was a little sticker shocked because $16 for a burger is high, but look at where you are. You can see the prices before you order so you have time to leave and go somewhere else.
IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE AS 0 STARS I WOULD! BEWARE:this place charges mandatory 17% tip on take out orders. Their food is so overpriced it isn't funny. Plus the food was not even good, it was very bland, and the pasta was very chewy and not cooked. $93.23 for 2 dishes for take out, this was not even delivered! We walked in and picked it up ourselves. Will never ever go to these crooks again! Go to this place at your own risk!
In here is more like Monday. Food Quality is terrible the price it's insane. Bland burgers what seemed like re fried fries.
Great service..good food.. free parking ..
Way over priced....they have a neat scam going when you use a credit card....they offer to allow you to pay in $CAN or $US dollars..not thinking and being from US I hit US$, then they hit me with a 3.75% surcharge fee for converting CAN$ to US$. Had I hit CAN$ my credit card would have done the conversion for free when it hit my CC account. Don't know what the additional $4.00 fee is from the city nor could the waitress explain, but we didnt pay that at an adjacent restaurant the night before. The ice tea was barely colored water, exchanged it for a Pepsi which had little fizz...ended up drinking water. Food was good and service was ok but I'd avoid this place due to their business practices along with being way overpriced.
Service
Expensive. No juice with breakfast. Only coffee or hot chocolate. No sugar. Some breakfast items such as muffins were cold and I was advised to wait a bit and let them warm up with the air since they were just taken out of the fridge (at around 9AM).
Food is great, so delicious. I had shrimp and chicken pasta , and appetizer called three something, sufficient portions, great service . But it's TOOOO EXPENSIVE the bill was76$ , 30$ pasta , 25$ apt, 8$ soft drinks.
Food was good. My sever is a wonderful lady who did an excellent job. This restaurant would have got 5 stars if it was for another male employee who felt because he wasn't my initial severer he didn't and wasn't going to assist me. He was rude and being business owner myself this employee would have been at least suspended if not let go. Shame to the manager who sat there and witnessed this and did nothing to reprimand him or address my concern. This was Saturday evening Oct 2nd around 5pm. Good luck to this restaurant that has leadership like this. To the lady that served me keep up the great work. You made it fun for us!!
The food was great..they took good care and the ribs were so tender and soft. The fries was so good.
Take out
Horrible food quality and customer service. Better go to the fast food restaurant than this place. Honestly. There are way better restaurants out there. Do your research.
Ron was a great waiter. He gave us a free appetizer
Over priced and other the best food. I've had better from small diners.
Prices are higher than we're used to at home, but average compared to anywhere else we went around Niagara Falls. Our server Dave was absolutely amazing!! Loved him and his food recommendations so much that we went back two nights later despite intentions to eat at a different place each night. Different server (Ruthie), but still great service. Thoroughly enjoyed my food both times.
Went there with my family not too long ago. I ordered the steak with a demi-glace. I did not get any seasoning on my steak and all the food was just way too greasy. When they include gratuity in the price you can see that they really just dont care about the quality of product. The only thing that kind of redeems it was the server who was quick with the drinks. I would avoid this on my next visit
The food was edible. We went for breakfast, $50 for two people and only one of us had coffee! Bacon was tiny and see through, sausages over cooked. Coffee $4?!?? Never again.
HORRIBLE PLACE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABS IGNORANT HOPFULLY YOU DON'T HAVE TO ORDER TAKE OUT ANY TIME SOON CAUSE THESE PEOPLE DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THERE DOING. HER NAME WAS SIERRA AND SHE SHOULD BE FIRED.
great food. went at 10pm it was dead but the food was fresh and delicious. service was a little slow but fine. pricey but thats to be expected.
The food was nothing impressive. I ordered a veggie burger and my boyfriend a classic burger. The veggie burger was very stale. They took 10-15 minutes just to figure out our waiter, place us at a table and hand us water. Overall, not the best place to dine at Niagara falls.
5/5 food very tasty. Burgers are recommend. Food quality exceeds expectations ????. Will definitely be returning to eat here again with my date. Disappointed that there No T.G.I Fridays in my area (Toronto) . Wishing they would open one .
Food was O.K at best, service was great. The prices are outrageous!!! Will not go back no matter how often i visit Niagara Falls.
this place gave me a trauma in eating at a franchise at a tourist destination. no host upon arrival- then it took over 5 minutes after getting our food to get our silverware. told the server that the food got cold, then she took it back into the kitchen saying that she’ll “remake” the food just to reheat the same plate for 15 minutes. we didn’t tip, but there’s always the resort fee that screws everyone over. this place is the only bad part of niagara and it’s just an awful place. please close
130 dollars for four burgers and a dessert. Mine was the double blue , was almost cold and yet burnt from one side. We were almost the only customers in the place and it was 10.30 pm. Obviously the shortage in staff during covid made it worse.
We were part of a big party. A 9 yr old ordered steak. The waiter didn't talk with the parents. Instead he charged them $39 dollars for their daughters steak. That's pretty unethical in my book.
Went to the host (TAYA) and with a smile... thats her name one of the servers said She Didn't acknowledge us or even smile???? even with a mask on you can see if someone is pleasant by there eyes or line movement lol .. i asked her kindly if they had another mask because my fell on floor and she looks up and says no. No warmth or anything just dry stale no Honestly i am sharing this because no matter how good the food is .. having someone like this ruins the whole experience... maybe to her it's nothing but hospitalIty is a must in the restaurant industry .. if me as a customer has enough etiquette to come in friendly and warm to set the vibe then its her duty to set the same energy... if u dont like your position then dont take it... Its a shame ... pleasant hospitality = return customers But what do i know... the restaurant is good just shame staff sometimes kill it
The waiter wasn't very good. Super unseasoned. The food was overpriced for the poor quality. Despite it being 15 degrees Celsius in the night the AC was still on. Host was kind. Washrooms were unkept.
They had the most amazing service. Food was prepared quickly and were provided in generous portions. Food is relatively more expensive but this is understandable given that it is located in Niagara Falls (tourist town). Prices at all restaurants in town are inflated given tourism is one of their main sources of income. I have visited this location numerous times over the past years and it is always top notch. My meals are delicious and they even have gluten-free options. One of my favourite spots for a meal in Niagara Falls!
Will not return to TGIF in Niagara Falls. My recent experience at this restaurant was horrible, and just to think we only went there to support the restaurant business during this pandemic. I'll spare you the details on how we were treated, but $19.00 for a burger that tasted like it was made by a 5 years old ? $14.00 for a few stale chips with a small bowl of guacamole? I get it its a tourist place so prices are a bit high but really? The $12.00 for the 6 wings were actually not bad, that's why I gave them one star. If you want people to come back and help your business all you have to do is treat them with a bit of respect. I leave in Niagara and they made me pay the tourist fee? Yes I did leave a tip. We should have gone to the Keg...
Food was brutal. I mean brutal. Did I say brutal? Also if you want to even just grab a couple pints with the lads, feel free if you like flat sour beer. Was not compensated for anything either. Worst $86 I've ever spent. My son isn't picky and he pushed his plate away. Also, our table was sticky and greasey. I feel like a terrible Father for not getting my family out of there. Sorry son, I won't take you there again.
If only we can give 0 , I feel ashamed of putting 1 as a rate , they truly don’t deserve it , very bad food , cold , untasty , salted fries , worse customer service , don’t even try to waste your money here ...
Came to dinner and was extremely disappointed. First the restaurant not busy at all still took us almost 10 minutes to get a table. Our server came to our table looking as if she did not want to be there, I wish I could say what her name was but she never told us! The food is ridiculously overpriced at 4 beers 2 burgers and an order of fajitas our bill came to over $160 CAD! The fajitas were meant for me and someone else to share, the portion was barely fit for one person! The tortillas came wrapped up in a paper towel stuck together and wet it was disgusting! Overall terrible service, over priced food and waste of time overall. Don't come here go somewhere else to eat
Most expensive TGIF that I’ve been to, if you think you’re walking out of there for less than $50 you’re wrong. We got two drinks and crappy chips with guacamole that came from a bag for $47. In addition, they would not accept my gift card because I did not purchase two entrees. However the gift card never informed me of this rule, and when I clarified with the card company they agreed TGIF was in the wrong. Classic money grabbing scum from the Falls. I have been to the other TGIF closer to Clifton Hill, and that is a great store in comparison. Really disappointed, because I would consider TGIF as my favourite American Chain franchise
Delicious food and friendly staff They have a lot of choice when it comes to food Less choice of drinks Food quantity was super and it taste amazing One dish is more than fulfilling for a person Try their burgers and salads. Drinks are a bit pricy but decent for a restaurant in niagara! Lot of space and they are following social distancing measures in a good way!
Hands down, 5 stars. Spoke with a fella, named Dave, to place my order. He was helpful, and patient and completely professional. Service was impeccable! The steaks were fantastic! Highly recommend TGI. Being a first time customer, and getting that kinda quality in food and perfect service, will make me a continous customer....EVERY...SINGLE...TIME..I...COME...BACK!. I would give 11 stars if I could.
Service
I didn't have too high expectations for this place. There was a couple near me arguing it was awkward. The hamburger was extremely low quality like it was tough and you could tell it was from frozen. I didnt get sick from it so thats a plus I guess- my total with a rye and ginger was $33 not including tip. Its too bad the Keg was busy this burger was not worth $20, just no.
Burger was great 5/5, Steak was poor 2/5, Service was friendly 4/5. Will return for the burger in future (hopefully it is as good as it was this time).
Ordered potato skins and green salad and a club soda with lemon and limes. Skins were good, salad was ok. Expensive, as most things are near the falls.
The jack daniels burger was amazing and the service was great. A little bit pricey but I would come again!
Gréât place , excellent location, food is good and the service is amazing. Thanks for wings Kianti,
They gave my son KRAFT DINNER!! He ordered Mac n Cheese . Super duper ridiculous. If the management is reading this I demand a refund . Save your money bill came to 120$ and the waiter was mean as ever !!!!! Only nice when he was waiting for us to pay!!!!!!! Overpriced and bad service. Food always like frozen dinner .
Very friendly and quick service. Food was very delicious and serving size was big.
Expensive but good food and nice staff
This was not worth the $$ spent. The hamburgers were regular and the fries were plain. well, i would expect a better dinner for the $19.99 charge. The soft drinks were $6.00 each. Beer, forget it. Ridiculous pricing and defiantly not worth it!! save it for a better restaurant outside the tourist trap. cheap food with crazy high prices. no way, never again.
Very expensive for regular sloppy cheap frozen burger
Very expensive . I bought foods for take out but they charge me 17%for tip . Befor payment i asked them about tip they sed they don't charge me for tip and i don't check my receipt but after my wife asked me why the foods is expensive, i checked my bill and i saw 17% tip . We wait 45 min just for someone take order. Every thing was bad
Salmon was very salty. Price is extremely high but I knew that going in.
We usually visit this Friday's when we come to Niagara Falls, familiar and the food is always good. Our service is usually good as well, however today our server, Heather, was terrible. Things were ok until the kitchen plated something incorrectly and we mentioned it, she responded negatively without apology but we eventually just took it as is and redistributed it amongst us. After this, her attitude just got worse. When she brought the check, my mother inquired about the NFDF charge and if it was voluntary, she raised her voice at my mother, who then told her to lower her voice, which is when Heather decided to get the manager. The fee was removed. When Heather brought the machine, I told her i wanted to leave a tip on my card, while my mom was going to pay the bill, she said "It has many options, you can do whatever you want to do!" We handed her the machine back to put the tip in (we've been doing it this way with separate charges for years with no problem), and she took it an walked off. Well, no tip for you Heather, not liked you deserved it with your bad attitude anyway.
Food prices were way overpriced. Not only that they demand a 17% tip that gets added to your bill. Also a tourist tax which they refused to take off. I checked about the tourist tax your allowed to ask for it off. Most places dont do the tax. I live in Toronto. I'm not a tourist. Wouldn't recommend this place.
I went there with a friend we had a good time! The food was so fresh tasting and the waiter was better then great at his job. Prices were a bit steep for my taste but was worth it.
Food was excellent and so was the service, just a little expense.
The service wasn't very quick thru the daytime, and the prices are very high. However, once I was served, the staff was wonderful and the appetizers were delicious!
Dissatisfied customer, took too long for order to arrive. Very greasy food. Not comming back for sure
I always like Fridays! We get wings and hamburgers. They are great. Wonderful staff. The ribs are good. We had the salsa and chips to start. Salads are always fresh and all the ingredients are freshly done. They pastas are ok. We enjoy Fridays.
I've never posted a review before but couldn't help but to let every potential VICTIM know the food was worse than a cafeteria for the price of a Michelin star restaurant. They force a 17 percent tip on top of the crappy food for take out and didn't even have paper plates we requested? I will tell everyone I know to avoid being ripped off here. Might as well waste your money at the casino,at least you're expecting to loose there.I wouldn't go back if it was free
I would not recommend, came for a lunch snack, ordered 6 wings and 2 baskets of fries and 2 pints walked out with a $90 bill. Mandatory 17% gratuity. Friends bill was $170 for lunch. Terrible service, terrible food and terrible prices will not return
Sadly, we were super hungry and it was a Sunday night so most restaurants were closed. Unfortunately, we didn't bother to check the restaurants reviews. To begin we ordered 6 BBQ chicken wings which were okay. After we ordered 12 spicy wings that were EXTREMELY salty. We told our waiter and they said it was like that at their location and blamed it on the sauce. They offered to take them back and bring us new wings with a different sauce. After 5min they brought us the ""new"" wings with a different sauce. However, you could tell they just resauced them and brought them back because we saw the same chicken wing we had bitten into. Not only were they still salty, but considering that in pandemic times it is extremely dangerous. NEVER EAT HERE.
To be seated poor, under staff for a holiday weekend. Not impressed, .the embassy suites hotel has been fantastic, TGI Fridays not run well.????
Dinner
Visited this location to order takeout, and once presented with the bill the server stated that there is a mandatory 17% tip required. I have never been to an establishment that required a tip for ordering takeout. I sent an email to the manager on the receipt stating my concern and they advised I would receive a call. It has been almost two months now and I haven't received a call. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT unless you want to pay 17% tip for ordering take out.
After showing us to table, waited 30 minutes to be served. The worst thing the servers were too busy chatting less than 4 feet away from table. We left without ordering. They did say have a good night as we were leaving. Will NOT be going to this franchise restaurant again.
We didn't enjoy the visit. The food was OK. The wait time was long for a half full restaurant and everything on the menu was overpriced.
Over priced and food is just right. Better to cross the border and have a meal there.
Desappointing.... although the food is good, it is expensive and the serving size plates are.small. Do not recommend it.
Food was great. Servers were friendly and went above and beyond. Followed covid policies. Highly recommend.
!!! DO NOT GO !!!! Food is awful Service is really bad Burnt burger Dry Alfredo pasta Spicy and tasteless cajun pasta
Awesome atmosphere. Great service. Great food ????
Amazing food, Salmon was great, i had a good time been there.
We always make sure to eat here when we stay in Niagara Falls. It is a family favorite!
Basic menu and limited options with alcoholic beverages but Serving staff was nice and the food was delicious. Overall, easy stop for anyone staying at a hotel at Embassy suites.
Extremely overpriced for very mediocre food and service. $6 for a fountain pop and expensive entrees. There are many places to eat in Niagara, I wouldn't reccomend here.
