Off the Niagara tourist trap and serves pretty good food. Tried the baked shrimp - was low on the cheese and shrimp could have used a little more cook, the tail was not removed, penne a la vodka - was great and you need to try it once., pizza was pretty good too!

Busy Saturday night and only 2 bartenders working. Bartender made me the wrong drink and I was scared to go back to her to get it fixed. I was supposed to get an after eight martini and I'm pretty sure I got milk with creme de menthe in it . I went to the other waitress who happily fixed it. My friend's martini tasted odd and watered down. This place used to be spot on with thier martinis. Maybe it was just an off night?? But maybe at $8 a martini I shouldn't complain lol

The restaurant is dirty! The hostess was horrible and sat us at a table that was dirty. She didn't bother to clean it, she didn't say two words to us. we had to ask her to clean the table. Their were fruit flies all over the area we were sitting at, flies were all over the bread and food! It was so bad we could barley eat the food! Food was tastless, no flavor. Portions are very small. Prices are high low quality food. Definitely not an authentic Italian restaurant. The waitress was very nice a personable. Overall just horrible experience. Would NEVER go there again!!!

We came by for dinner on a weekend. It wasn't crowded or anything. We considered getting a shrimp appetizer but no one was up for it. I got the Classic Canadian pizza (pepperoni, bacon, and mushrooms, I think) which was very good. Everyone else was very happy with their meals as well. The service was pretty good, it may have slowed down if the restaurant was full but we had no issues.

Place was nice and clean, but two small mixed drinks were $30 CAD. They didn't put much alcohol in them (they have an automatic drink making fountain that the bartender uses), and it looked like maybe 1/2 a shot, if that. The band that started to play was decent, but they were exceptionally loud for the size of the venue.

My husband and I had the specials. Penne a la vodka and the veal parmigian. The bread wasn't warm, the caesar salad was watery, the veal was burnt and our food was very bland. Great service, but the empty dining room at 7pm on a Saturday night should have tipped us off. We will not be returning.

So much fun! Live band playing pop and rock music were so great! Great for dancing! We arrived around 10:30-11pm. Beware that this place has a lot of Bachelor/bachelorette parties, but that also means that the crowd is super fun!! Will definitely go back!

I struggled with this review. I had the Tilapia and it was incredible...but very small portion sizes for the sides . Service was extremely poor. We arrived at 7:30pm and received food at 9:20pm. We complained to get water and bread for the table.

We stopped here for a bus to eat and some drinks late in the evening. We shared a classic Canadian pizza, which was an okay meal. The martinis were very tasty and the beer was cold. The atmosphere was relaxing and the live entertainment was great. There wasn't a lot of patrons in the place and service was a bit slow.

Great find! Pizzas are delicious, service absolutely perfect... We also discovered a great Ontario wine, the Seasons Cabernet merlot at a very reasonable price. We were told there is a new owner since a month or so. Coming from Montreal I must say we are picky eaters and this restaurant exceeded our expectations at a very reasonable price.

I don’t even know what to say except BYOB... Bring Your Own Basil. Seriously, my caprese salad came with old, tasteless, dried bits of basil on top of a few unripe tomatoes, ok mozzarella (only because it’s mozzarella), iceberg lettuce, and a drizzle of yet again, tasteless balsamic glaze. The bar was out of many drinks and 2/3 bathroom stalls were out of order, both which I’ve read in the reviews have happened many times before (thru 2 years ago). The server was this place’s saving grace- she was kind and respectful. She was more attentive than most waitresses and waiters in the Niagara region so far. Should’ve known to walk away when we entered and only one other couple was dining on a Friday night at 7pm. Save yourself and go anywhere else for Italian in Niagara- there’s only like 500 Italian restaurants here, and most of them with exactly the same pricing but I’m sure much better food! Seriously, just no. Find anywhere else.

Odd experience. It seems most people reviewing had good experiences so this must have been an off night. Saturday night, Nov 30, we went in as it was suggested by a friend. We stood in front of the sign that said "please wait to be seated" for a couple minutes, both staff we saw made eye contact but never seated us. Eventually we put our own table together and, again, no one came to take drink orders. We eventually went to the bar and asked for our pitchers there. The taps we wanted weren't working, which was disappointing, but likely no ones fault. We saw other tables come in, stand around, seat themselves, then leave after no one went to their table. They could have been short staffed, communication was just not there for guests. This happened a couple times while we were going to and from the bar. I won't be returning. The band was fun though!

Had an amazing night out with my girlfriend & friends at Spicy Olive. Plus the place is really clean, so you can tell new management is properly taking care of this business now. We decided to stop by here as it was near to our hotel and definitely did not regret the choice! The staff were all very nice and friendly and the wait time for our pizza was pretty short. We got the Prosciutto and Arugula pizza to share as we weren’t too hungry and it was very tasty. This is a great late night stop option!

My fiancee and I went here while we were visiting the falls. We went about 2 weeks ago..and I am still thinking about how bad our experience was. You could tell there was no effort put into the food. My fiancee got the French onion soup...the entire thing was just bread pulled apart. Food and service was terrible. If I could give it a 0/5 I would. Stay away my dudes.

I'm honestly disappointed with my experience here seeing as most of the reviews are good. Went with my parents and 2 kids. We waited an hour for food to arrive on a night where there were only 3 other tables (so 4 in total) and 2 tables who walked in after us were served before us, even got the bill and left before we got our food. Both me and my mother ordered the penne alla vodka with sautéed prosciutto and red sweet onions and both of our dishes came with NO prosciutto and NO onions and the sauce was maybe average if not below. So so so disappointed. Will not be wasting my time or money here ever again.

The experience was terrible.... First, they took forever to get us seated. Then the seated us on a corner table where my sister almost had her hair dirty several times due to the waiters bringing food behind her. We asked for a margarita pizza with extra cheese and a salmon with extra veggies. Where we asked for extra, she put less. The pizza had almost no cheese. There were a few broccoli with the salmon... Never coming back....

I was not impressed with my meal today, I was under the impression that I was ordering a genuine Italian meal. My Margherita Pizza was bread with tomato sauce and hardly any cheese or flavor.... the pasta was undercooked. The server was too busy for us probably working more tables then she should... didn't come by too refill drinks or ask if we needed anything. I felt like we were a bother... Suffice it say we will not be returning or recommending this place.

The absolute worst service. We went in with a party of 5 adults and 4 kids. We should have known as all other restaurants had line ups and wait times but spicy olive we walked right in. We waited over an hour for food. They said there was a printer issue and offered 1 free dessert. All of the food looked like it was from frozen vs fresh. Will never return.

Not worth the $$$$$ They should change the name to Olive Garden. Calamari was made from frozen Lamb speducci was over cooked . Margaretta pizza had litttle to no mozzarella cheese on it . Penne had little to light sauce ( very dry) but for some reason it had a lot of big pieces of onions. Plus we got a extra piece of hair in our pasta @ no charge. Told the server and we received an apology. We will definitely not return .

Nice to have quality food during the covid19 pandemic. Enjoyed a night off of cooking with some delicious pizza and home-made gnocchi from their take out. My little way of saying 'salute' since seeing in media this owner donated food to our essential , front-line workers. It's obvious they put the love into their dishes. Thank you!

We ordered Caesar salad and it came with toast bread cut into small pieces, I guess that was their "own spin on croutons" the seafood pasta $24 For a tasteless tomato sauce and 4 clams and 4 pieces of shrimp. To finish the night, we had the whole kitchen staff plus waitresses talking on the booth behind us loud and very unprofessional. If you ask me, it's not worth it. Our mistake was we did not walk a little further closer to the main road. You will find awesome restaurants.

I would not recommend this place. The fact that it was empty at lunch time should have been a clue. The pannini was actually a dry sub, with half the advertised cold cuts. The battered fish had a coating that one would find on a chicken ball, hiding a tiny piece of dry fish. Ceasar salad had bottled dressing and no garnish. Not going back any time soon.

It seems that I didn't do my due diligence of checking reviews before making a reservation. We had the same poor service everyone else got. We arrived with a group of 16 on a Saturday night. There was no toilet paper in 2/3 stalls when we got there at 8:30pm. One of our group went to the bar to let them know and was told that they were too busy, so my friend asked for the key and toilet paper and she would do it herself. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. We had made the reservation 2 months prior so there was plenty of notice that we were coming and they seemed to have no staff. It's a Saturday night in Niagara Falls, put more staff on. No one greeted us at the door so I waited a few minutes before I asked a passing waitress if the long table was ours. We waited another 20 minutes before anyone came to our table, at which point some of our group had ordered drinks from the bar because it had taken so long. We all knew what we wanted at that point so we put in our order which took so long to arrive. The food and drinks were then auctioned off by just yelling out the order to the table. My friend got her French onion soup which lacked onions and consisted of croutons floating in beef broth on a plate. Food was fine but definitely not worth the wait. I asked if they could make a Bailey's coffee as I saw that they offered espresso and had Bailey's on the bar. I was told that they couldn't because they had run out of the alcohol needed to make it. I could literally see a bottle of Bailey's behind the bar. The end of the meal was no better. Empty plates were left on our table which we stacked neatly to get them out of our way. Our server came back half an hour later with our bills and had to go to each person to ask what they had. Auto gratuity had been applied to the bill due to our large group which is understandable, however the guarantee of a tip does not excuse lazy service.

Had a great time here with my girlfriend. The food was great and we didn't have to wait long for our app (calamari which was delicious)quickly followed by mains (stuffed chicken, chicken fettuccini, and a margarita pizza) which were also all delicious. The server was friendly and polite. The cook also came out and made sure we were satisfied with our meals and let us know that the business is under new management. Prices were reasonable as well. Highly recommended this place.

Unfortunately I have to give this place a one start review, zero would have been preferred based on this terrible service. Sat at a table for 20 minutes with our being acknowledged by anyone not even for a glass on water. ( it was not a busy time I could literally count on my hand the amount people that were in the restaurant). Numerous waiters and waitresses walked by us ignoring us in the restaurant. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, by not causing a scene. But I lost it when I noticed another customer that just arrived to the resturaunt and was instantly serviced. If you would like to eat good food and to be treated like a human. I highly would not recommend this place.
