You will see all the information of people like you who purchased the services of Kelly O'Bryan's Restaurant & Carlos O'Bryan's Pub (Night Club) in New Westminster (Canada).
At the moment this business gets a score of 4 over 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is very high, and it's based on a high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the evaluation is very credible. If many people have bothered to give their review when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set feddbacks when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Night Club corresponds to the category of Pub.
Nice place with a good atmosphere but we were all very disappointed with the food.
Food was trash, but the drinks and atmosphere rivals Cactus Clubs and Joeys.
Always good food and great service
Lovely location, service was abrupt and seemed short staffed. Food was mediocre. Drink menu exhaustive but quality mediocre. I will not return, much better smaller restaurants with better food at same cost in New Westminster.
Very small portions (I ate 1 peace of tuna before taking a pic) and overpriced (around $14). For a fine dining its ok but for the pub not really. Nothing special about this place besides location and great service.
My wife and I live across the street from this place and we were so excited to see this restaurant coming in. It proved to be a bit of a disappointment. It's a nice place. Their renovations of the old train station are very pretty. We had a burger that had two beef patties that were clearly processed in a factory somewhere and had spent their life in a freezer until we ordered our meal. Is it too much to ask for a restaurant to actually grind some fresh beef and smash on a grill when I order it? It's pretty gutsy to charge $17+ for a dry-ass hockey puck burger that's more mealy and less juicy than a burger you'd get for $5 at Wendys.
Had a great experience here recently. Abbee went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!
Great food, great staff, and I'm a sucker for a yummy drink. If you haven't yet, try the Poachos!!
I like what they done with the heritage building. Good food, friendly attentive service. More than sufficient portions. Good value for money.
Wonderful atmosphere, professional attentive staff, solid food, happy hour selection quite varied and more enough to cater to everyone's needs. Located in the heart of New West in an iconic historic building just a few steps from the New West SkyTrain Station. An exceptional addition to New Westminster's burgeoning bar/restaurant scene. If you've never come by, by all means do so. Many many friendly regulars ( myself included ) who all will welcome you and yours with a hello, perhaps conversation, perhaps more.
Had a good evening here. Food was good and service was top notch. We found that our server was friendly and quick witted. We did mention that his kilt was a lot shorter than the other servers. He said it's because they have better legs....I think he was just a little shy. Thanks for the good time.
The food and drink options were great. Our server was friendly, and the patio seating was great! However there was a waitress/busser going around clearing out the empty beer bottles/drink cups. The first time she knocked over a friends purse, which she apologized for which was fine. When she came around clearing our drinks, she knocked my boyfriends phone on the ground and didn't apologize in doing so. If his phone didn't have the life proof case, there would have been a chance that she could have caused damage to the phone. My boyfriend made a joke to kind of lighten the mood, and she still did not apologize.
Rude staff cold food and when tried to return it they said they sent it out hott terrible.
One of the many pubs located in the heart of New Westminster; an Irish pub with the historical building that used to be a train station. They take reservation for seating, however, they do not do call back for clients after leaving the name for seating. There isn't much space for waiting inside by the entrance so be ready to stand in the cold or rain outside for a while (up to 30min or more) if you want a seat. During the pandemic, the contact record is taken down for contact tracing. Staffs do not wear mask while serving the clients for taking orders or serving drink /food.
Went there for my free 20$ birthday meal and their signature fries with cheese and green onions were delicious
Service was good, but how can you overcook prime rib ? That hurt my feelings ????
Great afternoon spot for a quiet business lunch. Variety of foods, cozy booths and always a good background soundtrack.
Great food, appy prices are reasonable for plate size. Try the pachos, seriously. Staff very friendly and full of personality.
We found it to be a bit pricey. I think a lot of the reason for my dissapointment was due to nostalgia. I remember the old restaurant in Surrey, and the menu here has changed a lot from what it was. The food was decent and the drinks were good. Just felt a bit expensive for what it was. Will probably try it again without longing for the old restaurant.
Finally a KELLY O’BRYAN’S in NW . It’s like we are home again ..24 years and counting since we first visited their restaurant in Kamloops ,BC . Fantastic food and drinks for any time of the day . Bring your family and friends to enjoy the best Irish food in the lower mainland.
Excellent service, great food, and their happy hour drinks are the best! Kelly O'Bryans is the best dining experience you can have between 2-5pm!
Their burgers are huge, but I am still not sure if the higher price is justified. They if they're going to charge more than the competition, at least make it so the burgers aren't so dry, and provide fresh lettuce for the side salad?! The side salads were basically compost.
Overall great restaurant in the heart of New Westminster, been going here every week for a month with a buddy who introduced me. The pachos are great, and bartenders are always on point with my beer or two during happy hour! Only bad time I've had here was the wait on Friday night, after seeing a movie. Told them I'd be fine to sit anywhere they had available just for myself, the wait was 15 minutes. They'd forgotten about me about after waiting 30 mins. Wasn't a happy camper
Good food, love the birthday deal. Free up to 30.00 for dinner
Not like the kelly o's you'd think. the atmosphere is a regular sports bar. the only thing that makes you think this could be remotely a kelly o's is the pachos. The music is always WAY too loud after 8pm. this is a bar/restaurant not a club. we were there only an hour and a half and we literally had to YELL at each other to try and say anything, there was only 4 of us at a small table. I lost my voice because of that. Got over charged on both bills. we each ordered 2 drinks each. both mine and my bf's drinks were charged as "doubles" without asking ($2 more each drink) but were bland and tasteless NO WAY they were doubles...
The food was good, nothing outstanding. Service was only ok and felt like I was inconveniencing our server by simply being there.
This place could be really amazing but some of the food quality is lacking. I've been a few times and the burger buns are poor quality and are immediately soggy. I was so excited that they have waffle fries but they are completely bland and a super weird texture (more like bread than potato). Not like the flavorful, spicy and delicious waffle fries I was expecting.
Fairly decent pub, service is hit and miss, food is consistently good. Parking is awkward, but the are beside transit so that helps. Had good and bad times here. All in all of you are in new west looking for a Irish style pub that can pour a good Guinness, and want waffle cut fries, this is the place for you.
Great food and drink selection. The staff are friendly, professional, and quite helpful with food and drink options. The interior of the building is clean, neat, and quite pleasant.
This place is a joke. Either a really ironic joke (they call guacamole Emerald Isle, and list quesadillas under Celtic Favorites), or just a genuinely lame pub that charges 15-20% too much for everything, and wastes a potentially cool location. The nicest things I can say about the place are that the service staff is genuinely friendly, and if you're already too drunk to care how your food tastes, you can get two-for-one appies during happy hour.
Vanessa was an amazing server! Customer service was quick and efficient! Definitely would come back again!
Great food , service and music , check your bill , it's 2 for 1 on apps after 9 , they were charging me extra until I said it to the server.
This pub gets 5 stars on the atmosphere and service but I found the food to be over priced which is why I only gave it 3 stars. The food was pretty good but not worth the extra money. The service was great and I really enjoyed myself. Go during appy hour 2-5pm for $5 off burgers.
One of the best places in New Westminster to get a pint and some food. The chicken lips with pachos is my favorite also the chicken quesadillas tastes so good.
Great atmosphere and service, as always. The food took longer than usual but a party of 30 ordered just before we arrived so very understandable. Nice Sunday dinner with the family.
A good venue for your nightlife plans with a large selection of cocktails & fantastic service! Appetizer specials & bar events make it a friendly place to come back to.
Im not ever going back to this place. It is plain and simple very bad. Food is way to expensive It will be gone in a year Oh ... I forgot..... Yuck
Overall, I wasn't very impressed. The food seemed overpriced and the portions small. The drink menu was very impressive though. And I did like how they seperate the restaurant (all ages) and bar area, by putting the bar upstairs. I'd probably only return for drinks, and eat elsewhere.
In the past, I exclaimed that the prime rib was the best, however, tonight was not as good. Med rare was over cooked, and med was way over done. Service was still great, and everything else was fine. I'll chauk it up to covid for now.
Service, food, and ambience were all very good. Will return for sure.
Always a good time. Decent food. Huge drink selection is sometimes overwhelming but fun to try new things.
Not worth price at all! Worst customer service! One lady served us, she'd never had a word with us!! I asked her for some napkins and one straw, and after she just put on our table and left! Not even say a word!! She completely ignored us! Why?? Because we're not Canadian! But we're your customers, right?? But I think I realized why she ignored us! It was obvious! She just talked and laughed with other tables, because they had drink and they'll give her lots of TIPS, and we didn't have Alcoholic drinks! Improve your customer service with not greedy people!
There is no spoon . ... This is an awesome place love it
Nice place, great atmosphere, friendly staff. We like to go for happy hour 2 pm to 5 pm for the appy specials. Prices are on the high side but the is food tasty. You will not be disappointed when looking for up-scale pub food.
Nice menu efficient and friendly staff. I had Yorkies with shredded beef. Next time I will ask for a dark gravy. Happy Hour is the time to go.
Pro: Amazing building, great cocktail selection. Con: Food was bland, unimpressive, and lacked quality. Service was slow, like over an hour for basic pub fare items.
Amazing drink menu here. Nice chill Irish pub, food is alright.
A fairly good establishment. I don't have any negative experiences with my visit. The food and drinks were good and on par for the price in compassion to most pubs. We visited around noon, so it was fairly empty, so I can't say much about social distancing practices. Our server was very polite. I'm giving the place 4 stars because my experience was good, and I consider food and drinks to be on par to mist other establishments. There wasn't anything in particular about the restaurant that would make we want to go out of my way to visit again, which is why the lack of a star.
I love having a place like this in my neighbourhood because it's a good atmosphere and the food is delicious! In the summer, it's one of the best patios!
The Pachos were filling and delicious. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. A good place to visit.
Food was great and service was awesome! It's a popular busy spot for a reason!
I have to say the menu is confusing more than anything else. The signature latus fries are hard, not crispy. I don't think I would recommend this place..
Nice Neighborhood pub!
This pub is awesome. The location makes for tricky parking, but uts convenient to many other nearby businesses. The menu seems busy as first glance, as if they tried to take on too much. Yet each item ice tried they is well prepared and plated. Some items seem a bit beyond what you expect from a place like this and deliver as well as you could hope. The staff are super friendly, although one woman who I think may be a manager, needs to learn how to control the volume of her voice. While sitting at the bar, half the time was hearing her screaming instructions to the staff, albeit friendly and reasonable, they were obnoxiously loud. Ive been sever times and will be there again. Solid choice for drinks and food.
Staff was great. Prices were high. Overall enjoyed our selves.
Lunch on Kelly O'Bryan's & Carlos O'Bryan's New West patio was A+. Service was great and the food was fantastic. Portions were HUGE. Hands down the best taco salad I've ever had and don't even get me started on the McCracken Rolls ????????
Our server was excellent. The food was salty and mediocre at best. I had roast beef yorkies, burnout was served with maple gravy. It tasted like pure sugar. I sent it back and didn't eat because the few bites I ate didn't sit well. I do wish the wait staff had been wearing masks...they are breathing all over our food as they bring it to us. It only got 2 stars because our waitress was great, otherwise it would get no stars from me
Meh, used to go all the time 20 years ago when they were in Surrey and kelowna. It was great to us at the time. But the place is boring with a menu that's too big and food that's only mediocre at best. The menu is pretty much exactly the same as it was 20 years ago and the food comes across as stuff that comes in frozen and just gets reheated. I guess when you're young and the drinks are cheap, you can overlook that, but now the drinks are just as expensive as anywhere else and there is just no reason to go back. I wish them luck, but I've had my last visit
This place is awesome and we loved the food. Our server Blair was awesome and made us feel special. Would definitely recommend to anyone
Always 5/5 I love this place. The servers are always awesome and the food is always good. I always recommend the chicken lips and patchos with their sauce.
Good food, cold beer, and hot waitresses
A good dinning experience. Covid19 health and safety practices in place and enforced. The patio is great they offer heating lamps and fire pits. tha staff are friendly and work fast. The menu is great and Have a selection for all dietary needs. The food came out hot and fast tasty but nothing spectacular. The prices are decent. Good overall.
First time visiting originally from Calgary, will definitely go again next time I am in town. The food was great, the service was outstanding and the drinks were refreshing ????????
I enjoy the beer and drink selection and the 2 for 1 appetizers on Wednesday nights. The ambiance of the old train station and how they renovated inside is spot on!! However the food for me is just okay as it seems to be a little too franchise driven ie: burgers are frozen patties. In a time when fresh is the trend, the dining experience is a little disappointing. Hence the 3 star rating.
Had a great dinner here. The food is super good and the staff are great. Highly recommend checking this place out!
My first experience was during COVID times and it was amazing! There was no indoor dining at the time as the pub responsibly adhered to public health orders. But our server Abbee and the rest of the staff were on top of it! I for sure will be coming back again!
Oh goodness this place is always good, I went with my brother and didn't eat cause I had pizza beforehand. But the little greens under the shrimp dish was fab. I ate all the greens, nothing else but the greens. I want more
As a CONTRACTOR ... i was hired by "Amanda" (Assistant GM) to clean the Exterior Patio. She was extremely pleasant and a great communicator. Pressured washed the Patio -> Looks Fantastic! Payment was given immediately. Great to do business with this establishment. Will be taking the Wife to either Lunch or Dinner soon -> Hopefully, out on the PATIO! Thanks Amanda, and staff of Kelly O'Bryans. A pleasure.
Great patio experience. Our server, Abbee was awesome. Very attentive even woth all the tables she was managing. Definitely a spot to visit continuously for a great atmosphere, good drinks, and amazing service !!
Got served by Blair today... He was great.. Super attentive and fun to have as a server... Come to Kelly O'Brians... No time limit, good food, great service and excellent outdoor patio. Will definitely be coming back.
A few bucks too expensive for boil in a bag Sysco food. There are much better places to get for chain restaurant food like this. Try Hub across the street in the SkyTrain station.
Great selection of drinks and a nice ambience; we sat on the patio but the indoor seating looked good too. The server was great as well. However, I am not happy with the quality of food. Ordered a beyond meat burger, and the burger was bland, and the buns that came with it were just untoasted, soggy, and then typical supermarket style (I expected better buns that you would get in most restaurants). Overall, I would highly suggest this place for drinks and pachos. But, if you are going for lunch or dinner, order with caution.
An average pub with a good variety of standard pub fare and a few Irisish inspired dishes. The cocktail & shooters menu is very extensive but not all the cocktail orders hit the mark. Our group played it safe with orders of chicken "lips", chicken wings & quesadillas with their specialty lattice fries. Wednesday nights there's music trivia bingo & they're also taking reservations for Superbowl. It would be a great place to take in the game.
Incredibly overpriced for the quality, which is...fine. Very generic "Irish/Scottish" food. Great waitstaff, though.
Nice building, good service. Food is typical of this kind of place. Draft selection is limited. Not really my scene.
Took my bike out for a Saturday night ride. Ended up at Kelly O',Bryan's for a drink. Well done, great beer and service.
Don't bother complaining to servers about screaming drunk people because they don't care, food is very plain. only good things is one of the waiters was nice (can't remember his name), the location, and the building is pretty. Wont return
Terrible, terrible, terrible service. Even after complaining twice to manager, our table of 12 was mostly ignored. We got our own napkins, looked up dessert menu online, etc. Server would drop off one glass of water and walk away without asking if anyone wanted refills or taking a single dirty plate away. She had zero memory of who ordered what. As for food we weren’t expecting much for a pub, and our expectations were right. It tasted fine but presentation was poor. I had such good memories of the Surrey location; this was a huge disappointment. Will never be back, and you should avoid it too.
It was a friday night and the staffs looked so busy (the inside hall was literally FULL). however, they were very attentive and kind. As well, the food (Irish onion soup / Jambalaya) was soooo good. Definitely will come back!
Charlotte was a good server and a great therapist!
Overpriced, mediocre food. Won't be back. $17 for fish & chips with one measly piece of fish? Guinness $8+ a pint? Good luck, guys. Here's a tip: don't serve soup or salad with your meal...that has a side of coleslaw, by the way...keep the salad & soup a la carte & serve bigger entrees.
Was in the neighborhood and saw they had finally opened. Was seated right away in a comfy booth! Darren was our server and he was fantastic! We didn't know what we wanted at first. Very patient but didn't make us fell like we were searching for him either. Food wad great. Will definitely be back soon.
Food was pretty good, fresh tasting. Service was a bit slow and missed some things but overall good expery
I've been frequenting Kelly Os most of my life being from kelowna. Every birthday I could. Easily my favorite restaurant ever. New West is an amazing addition to the family, as its hell of alot closer than the Okanagan :)
Came in the evening of their opening day for drinks with friends and it felt like quite the party. Cool building in a good location. Huge cocktail menu, and the biggest selection of speciality coffees I’ve ever seen. Friendly staff. Beer menu leaves something to be desired, and the ambiance is just a pretty standard pub. I would probably go back. Downtown New West has been in need of a good pub for a while; maybe Kelly O’Bryans is the answer?
Great atmosphere. Ordered the chicken wings and some seafood cream cheese thing wrapped up like a spring roll. Wings were delicious and good size. The seafood cream cheese roll thing was average at best. The waitresses were hot and the Bulldogs were enormous and delicious !! Will definitely return!
Been here twice both times it was busy but the service was still good. Decent food and drink selection and will come back again.
I called today to put in a take out order as I was in the area and was craving pachos and lips but was told they only use DoorDash or skip the dishes. I live in maple ridge so delivery is not an option that far away. I was very disappointed.
Service was decent but the food was just ok. There are too many things on the menu. They should focus on making a few things ok instead of having so many mediocre menu items. The meat in the stew was dry. The pasta special had way too much sauce; it was like a soup. Also, when we ordered tea, the water in the pot wasn't even boiled. It was lukewarm. Likely won't come back.
Lovely Pints and food. Service was great. We will be back.
Food is pretty good but overpriced. The menus look very tacky and need to be pulled from the nineties. The renovations at this location are bare bones and it's a bit sad, such a cool location deserves more money and attention to detail. I've loved Kelly O'Bryans for many, many years as a chain but they need to think about making some upgrades to their brand in order to match the pricing/ambiance.
Celebrated my friend’s 50th birthday at Kelly O’Bryans in New Westminster. (They give a free meal on your birthday) Had such a good time. Place was hopping on a Thursday night. I had Prime Rib Yorkies, which were very delicious. My strawberry banana margarita was excellent too!! I will definitely go again.
Amazing food. Brings me back home to Kelowna
Good food, good drinks and decent service.
Excellent experience. Friendly staff. Food is well done. Lattice fries are delicious. And we have free meals on our birthdays. I loved it.????
The atmosphere is always warm and friendly. Their food is delicious.
Great cozy atmosphere. Food is always great. Lovely staff. The drinks tho are the best feature. Big selection, funny names. Got a leprichone urine sample today and it was awesome. Not overly too sweet, just like I wanted.
Nice place for a beer, the food is basic pub food.
Was a great experience. Went for my grad dinner with my class got the 10oz steak with a baked potato and sauteed mushrooms. Was delish would go again for sure.
I really enjoyed their patio on a late Saturday night. The traffic on Columbia didn't bother me while sitting outside and at night it's pretty quiet. I took advantage of the 2-for-1 appetizers after 9 pm and it was totally worth it. It would be a bit too expensive on regular price. Absolutely loved the tuna stack, but didn't really like the crab rolls (too much cream cheese). The steak was good too, very filling with a lot of sides.
This was a tough one to rate as it was my first time dining in and we had a large group. Top marks for service! …
Great Irish pub/restaurant with friendly staff and DELICIOUS home style food!
Great drinks, good food, and fabulous service! We had Abbee as our server. She was friendly, attentive and fast. Will return soon!
A favourite place to go while in New West, and as of very recently, this is one of the few restaurants operating during the 3rd wave of restrictions of this covid19 pandemic, thanks to their very large outside patio. The patio even has heaters for the comfort of the patrons. The food is usually pretty good, the potato skins are substantial and the pachos is always a crowd pleaser. One thing this restaurant does well is combining the pub style of Carlos O'Brian and the restaurant style of Kelly O'Bryan to allow its patrons the best of both worlds. There are some "elevated" dishes to enjoy, as well as your typical pub food which definitely hits the spot and goes well with a drink. Personally, my girlfriend and I enjoy coming during happy hour as the favourite menu items and drinks are discounted. When not coming for happy hour though, the prices can seem a little high. The service is always great, and having tried a different Kelly O'Brien's in Kelowna, this one has a totally different feel to it, but the staff are always friendly and helpful. the quality of the food matches well with the decor of the restaurant, giving it a comfortable Irish Pub feel. All and all, we will continue to return to this location.
Great place to meet and eat/drink with friends, good service and good food
Great decor.. nice job on the ambiance. Prices were so reasonable with that 2 for 1 appies. Pretty large selection of 2 for 1 food and drinks. Great hang out really close to the skytrain and central to old downtown New West. Food was pretty good. It's English / Irish food so there's nothing much to review. It wasn't burnt! The service was great. Check up quite often and never forgot about us. Would go back to try other food.
Outstanding customer service by the whole team on a regular basis! The food is always amazing and they continue to add to the menu! Great atmosphere, good COVID policies. A serious gem in New West! Football on Sunday’s there is a huge bonus! Special thanks to Jarrett for always being so friendly and so professional :) Great work guys!! Scot n’ Sarah PS...We are ready for a GREAT new salad so bring it on!
Stopped here after a movie. Enjoyed a pint but there wasn't anything on their menu I could eat -- With the huge amount of people today no longer including meat and animal products in their diet I would hope that more establishments would realize that there is bound to be a vegetarian or vegan in a group of buds that want to pop in for a social drink.
Loved it. Great food great service. (Lunch) Can't wait to try them for dinner.
I have been here about 3 times and its a great little joint thats very centrally located in New West. Right beside skytrain in case you are too tipsy to drive. Best thing here in terms of food are the happy hour Pachos and Mckraken rolls. Both definitely my favourite. Tried the Yorkies but they taste like they were made with instant premade beef slices like the kind you buy at Costco. Wings are Ok. Drinks are also best at Happy Hour.
Birthday meal makes the trip worthwhile. ($20 off lunch, $30 off dinner). Will come back again. The pajos were impressive. Prime rib was tender and cooked well.
I grew up going to Kelly O's and this location is nice and new, but not much different. It's a fun pub, and some of the food is delicious. However the cost is quite high so be prepared to drop a pretty penny to spend any time here. The service on the night we went wasn't fantastic, but I think some of that was due to new staff. We were told by our server that the kitchen staff was too slammed to be doing any special order stuff for us (my wife is vegetarian and wanted to split half pachos with bacon and the other half without). Definitely worth going to on occasions if you want a fun pub.
A great addition to the neighbourhood! A little pricey but they get a big plus for having not only a non-alcoholic menu but a good sized one! We'll be back.
No complaints. Fast service both too the table and from the kitchen mind you it was a Tuesday either way ... ????
The bartenders here are the the food they have homestead food every day specials Emily Danny will take care of you the best
Great location. Historic building. Surprisingly good food and selection. Near trains and shopping
Great place. Food and staff are always good
Good place to stay with your friends or family, very friendly place and the most important thing is they offer great food with ok price, I dont think its over priced at all.
Food quality and quantity ????
Food was ok. Fries were cold and it was obnoxiously loud. Our server was great though.
Prime Rib and Yorkshire Pudding! This restaurant is a great place to go for classic prime rib dinner. The location is the original New Westminster railway station, and just seeing it is a treat. The service was just right and timely. I enjoyed my visit.
We went for Mother's Day and sat outside. It was awesome!! Our server was attentive and so fun. The food is pub food - it's not particularly special but it comes out hot and is served quickly. Tastes good too. There are seagulls being creepy but unlike other places in the lower mainland, luckily no birds swooped down and grabbed food from your face. All in all a great experience. Will be back. Great summertime hangout.
Extensive menu, with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were greeted right at the door and our server made cocktail recommendations (since we were overwhelmed by the 5+ pages of cocktails to choose from). Some craft beer options too. Service was a little slow, but it was opening night and it was pretty packed.
Overall good experience. Service was fast and with smile. Good drink choices. Will go back . Parking is hidden behind the Pub.
The place is awesome, crowded and loud despite covid but people are just happy they can go out again. 1 star less because the service wasn't at all bad but it wasn't the best. Maybe it's because my friend and i only ordered dessert their mud pie (ice cream cake with green whipped cream).
Always very good service! They're very prompt and are very friendly. If you can make it out on happy hour I'd definitely recommend pachos, by far my favorite thing on the menu and the sauce is to die for.
Great pub, really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, tuna stack and Jambalaya were excellent. The staff are great, friendly and seem really happy to work there.
If you ever come here, make sure Steve is taking care of you. Best service, great prices and food is always solid. We've been here a few times now in the last couple of weeks and have managed to land Steve as our server. He's been great. Thanks all and we look forward to returning with more friends! Cheers
Food was good but it's pretty pricy. Got a snakebite hoping for a taste of the UK and I had to ask for more black currant, and it still wasn't right, had higher expectations for $8. They have a huge cocktail menu which is awesome, but again pricy.
Extremely bland food. Bland menu. So bland you don't know what to get. It's also old and stale. The pachos were dry and flavourless. Most likely someone else's leftovers. Worse when I warmed them in the oven at home. Ended up throwing them away. Our server was weird and humourless and generally awkward. Never felt so disconnected from a server in all of my restaurant and pub going days. The only positive thing was speed of service. They did well in that regard, as well as making sure we had everything we needed. I wouldn't come back though.
I did not like the waitress’s behaviour. She treated us very bad when we asked questions about the menu and even when she brought the food for us.
The food is predictable, if not typical, of a chain restaurant. Service was pedestrian. It took nearly 20 minutes after the table was cleared to get our bill, despite having my wallet and payment card on the table in plain view for any passing servers to see.
Great service, they had a really good free dinner promotion on your birthday. Some limited free parking at the back or meters right in front.
Go for a Happy Hour, otherwise it's a bit too expensive. Food is very good, though. Drinks too!
An amazing staff plus the food is consistent.
The best Irish pub in the area! Pachos and ribs to die for. Good beer and amazing patio! My favourite is the blueberry tea and of course Tessa - the best waitress ever!
We showed up at 12:05am on Thursday Jan. 24/20 and we were told last call was called and not serving any more. Yet on google it states clearly open until 1:00am. Guy behind bar (shaved head and long beard) said to try The Heritage Grill. We did and the service was great and people were friendly. You lose.
Not anything like the Kelly O'Brien's I remember. Kelownas Kelly O's is way better. I felt like this wasn't an Irish pub feel and drinks were gross with food mediocre. Service wasn't very good but it was busy. Go to the Kelowna one if you ever get a chance and make sure to order pachos
Great big patio space and an ample selection of drinks and food.
Can be better. Service is there , but kitchen can be better and quicker. Waited over 30m for a sandwich...
Happy hour place all day!!!! Pachos, pachos, pachos .. loaded with bacon, spring onions and topped with cheese
Food was decent albeit kind of expensive for a pub. Service was absolutely not okay though. Sat around for nearly 45 minutes waiting for our server. Ended up flagging another server in the process. Still took her almost 20 minutes to get our server to our table. Spent two hours there to have one meal and one drink. Probably will never go back.
It was great. Server was awesome. The only thing that made it a 4 star instead of 5 stars was that our prime rib was on the cold side. But besides that everything was great.
Was recently in for a Caesar and omg ask for Abigail to make you one! She’s got the magic touch! Cute friendly girl in a kilt
Lindsay was amazing, great service, friendly and enjoyable
Staff is really great and friendly, super service. I just wish they had better local beer selection. I know it's an Irish bar but you can get other local quality stouts from here in BC.
Hailey was our server this evening and she was fabulous. Very attentive, and happy to help. Our food also came really promptly! Always a good visit!
Maybe it was bad timing. But this place last night is 2 star worthy. Sat us down at table in corner. That's fine. But we we're pretty much forgotten in there. Ordered prime rib medium rare. If that's medium rare then rare is raw. Super intoxicated man in washroom. He should have been cut off from alcohol a long time ago. Not sure if they know about the "serve it right" program. Claims to be restaurant. I think the booze is more the focus there. Not going there again. Yikes ????
Excellent high class pub, plenty of tap beer choices, same for cocktails, appetizers and more, gets busy so reservations are a must
It was awesome I had a great time for my birthday !! Food was delicious the server was excellent !!
The way the booths are set up it's hard to see or be seen. Food was ok, I really enjoyed mine buy my husband didny enjoy his. Not awful but not great
We often visiting the Pub during the last year. We like the food, nice atmosphere and wide range of drinks. It seems the something changed I last few months and the food is feel more better.
Decent size inside, seems a lot bigger than the original Keg. Good service, average range of beers, had the beyond burger, pretty good.
My partner and I had a great experience here! Our server Abbee was an absolute gem. We will be back!
The place is very nice, you can celebrate your birthday there. Very good options of beers and food, however sizes of appetizers are small. Me and my husband ordered chicken strips and potatoes wages. Quantity of potatoes was good, but for the chicken they were small and few. Maybe other choices are going to be better..
We went twice and unfortunately very bad experience. First time(Saturday night) we were waiting too long to get our food and beers. We gave another chance now in summer this week(afternoon) and again same bad experience. We cancel our request and we left after half an hour on table without a single glasses of water or food, even asking for help more than once. We watch others customers in different table complaining as well. Waitress was working hard but they wasn't enough. Shame! Poor administration. Don't recommend.
The location is fantastic, only steps away from the New Westminster station. Their specialty is Pachos, which are a lattice cut fry with toppings and a dipping sauce. They're pretty tasty, but not as tasty as some of the other options on hand. There's nothing outstandingly bad about the place, but also nothing outstandingly good. Its a safe bet for a good pub centrally located. I've never been disappointed.
I will give the 10 stars!!! The service is amazing, and the food very delicious. Huge portions. You get $30 off on your birthday! We went to celebrate my husband birthday. Jennifer the Owner/Operator was helping me a lot with the reservation, and the waitress was very helpful. They have kids menu and paper for them to draw. The place is beautiful and clean. Is the perfect place to eat or just drink something. Now in summer the have Patio available. 100% recommended, I will be there doom again!!.
Great service. The building is pretty nice to look at and is comfortable. Food is 8 out of the 10 times good
Lovely staff and roomy space, however I would never order from here again. The food was over priced and disappointing.
Always love coming here for drinking parties. Even if you don't go hard anymore, a good place to get a few shots with 6+ people. It's clean, and always high energy. You can reserve, but if you get in before peak hours you'll likely be fine.
This place is superb! Great customer service, good happy hour food, and decent pricing too. Celebrated my birthday here, everyone is super helpful! Would recommend to come by if you're around the area!
Great service the Irish server was so friendly and helpful with the menu
Decent atmosphere, great drink specials, food ranges from nothing special to needs improvement.
So a while back I was meeting my family for dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant near by. I knew that the old train station was occupied by a Keg Steakhouse at one point but I realized it was now a Kelly O'bryans. To make a long story short I suggested we visit the place for my coworker's retirement party. They were able to accommodate our group of ten which by any standards it's a big group to accommodate on a Friday night. 45 minutes later we were at our table enjoying drinks and some delicious appetizers. By the end of the night we were marry and happy. To add to our delight the bill was very easy to agree with. I can't wait to get together again with friends at Kelly O'bryan's.
Gave us a great table for our hard of hearing friends.
This place gets 2 stars for atmosphere and service. Was originally a train station very cool building. The food was super lame and overpriced, zero value. Irish stew was a thin soupy no flavour gravy with a few potatoes and some tough beef chunks. Fajitas were all peppers n onions missing any Mexican seasoning served with dried up cold flour tortillas. Mushroom caps were void of any seafood. Save your 115$ buy groceries cook at home.
Pachos. Good lord the Pachos. It has probably the most unique fry-set I've had in Vancouver. The rest of the food is nothing to scoff at but if you decided to go here for waffle fries topped with cheese and bacon with emerald isle sauce that oozes flavor, it will be worth all that alone. Consider also getting the margaritas as well. I had the peach one and it was delicious.
As someone who grew up in Kelowna Kelly O's is a staple there. This one is also great. The McCracken rolls are incredible, As are the Pachos. They have a great selection of Irish Whiskey and beer. If you go on your birthday and bring a friend, you eat for free. They have a great sized Patio and the staff are friendly. I drove from South Surrey and it was well worth it. We will definitely be coming back. Side note, get the wings tossed in honey mustard and a side of Salsa with the McCracken Rolls.
Below par experience...tasted like frozen burgers for premium prices($18.50 for a cheddar burger)..I feel if they charge that much for a burger it should be fresh...servers could use a smile and be friendlier...for a Irish pub style place it lacked any atmosphere...
Typical chain restaurant. Mediocre overpriced food
Order the pachos, they are on another level of greatness! Good selection of beers and great deals (Happy Hour, 2 for 1 Appetizers)
Nice pub with pretty good Guinness.
Our server Abbee was great! Super patient and attentive to our large group. Nice eyebrows too!
It's a shame that one person's action can ruin an experience and first impression. Food and our server was fine but one of the first interactions we got left me in a sour mood. My friends and I had walked over after a movie at Landmark across the street so we had drinks and popcorn with us. Before we even got to sit down, a man very abruptly and rudely said "you need to get it out of here". He wasn't our server and he didn't even stop when he spoke to us, he said it as he walked past us. Hey I get if outside food is not allowed but the attitude was uncalled for. Calm down dude no need to yell at us, we're not at a restaurant to eat leftover popcorn? I recommended the restaurant to my friends because I moved to New West beginning of the pandemic and had been looking forward to trying this place when restrictions ease. I'm so disappointed. I was hoping this would be a good place to take friends when they visit New West (like after a movie!) but not with this kind of attitude and unprofessionalism.
A good restaurant is one with good food and good service at decent prices. Kelly O'Bryans on the other hand, takes those simple concepts and kicks them into high gear to provide not a good experience, but instead, a GREAT one! The food is consistently good, service is anywhere from great to outstanding! You are greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome-and appreciated - for the duration of your time there. Good for large groups or dinner for two, the menu is diverse and fun. Looking for a fun place to go tonight? Check out this fantastic establishment. I highly recommend it.
Good food, great service and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
I had the chance to visit the new Kelly O’brian’s and below is my experience with them. Food: 3.5/5 We ordered the chicken fajitas and jerk fettuccine pasta. The fajitas were great, fresh lettuce, tomatoes along with seasoned chicken and vegetables. My fettuccine however could have been a bit better. The chicken was grilled however just with salt and pepper, it was not marinated in traditional Caribbean flavours, the majority was in the sauce. By no means was it inedible, it did taste good however not what I expected, I guess my fault for ordering something more traditional like stew or shepherds pie. Perhaps next time! Decor: 5/5 It was great to see what they did with a historic building and turning it into what they did. As you walk in you’re welcomed with a nice, large bar along with tv’s and music. In addition, the washrooms were nicely done, clean and organized. Service: 4.5/5 We were greeted by the hostess at the time as soon as we walked in it felt great. While she went to locate a table for us, we were then greeted by two additional people just to make sure we were attended to. Thankfully we were able to find a table within a couple minutes, the timing worked out great. We were seated to our table and our order was put in fairly quickly. The manager on duty came by a couple time to check in on us and take away our dishes, great teamwork! The only feedback I will make note was that it happened to get busy as we were waiting for our food and it did take some time to receive it, it would have been nice to be acknowledged that we were patiently waiting. It is a great spot to check out in New Westminster and I do recommend people to try. I will visit again and see if there is a difference.
Very good place, lots of options of booze, also very relaxed for lunch time, very good food. Lovely place.
Sitting on the out on the patio with good food was so awesome
Incredible menu of cocktails and shots ???? someone might say too many as it's hard to decide. Only had the dumplings which were good.
Good place to relax with mimosas and apps!
I was pretty daring and tried new drinks each time and they were all so good! The prices are a little exspensive but its worth it.
I went here last night for a few drinks with my sister and it was a little disappointing. While the drink specials were decent, the service was incredibly slow and it wasn't overly busy in our section. The patio was a nice size and the establishment was clean, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this place to anyone.
I usually enjoy my time at this place but today they went and sat on top of our heads. We went in and this nice person was looking for a place for us. We were a group of 5. This other lady came in and took over and told us that they don't have any tables and that we'd have to wait. We were waiting and after 15 20 minutes this same lady comes over and says that the wait time might vary between 30 to 45 minutes. We said yes okay cool. Later we went in to buy take out, and the other person told us that he can provide us a booth of 4 if we can adjust. This lady came in again and said that she spoke to the manager and that they can't let us sit in. IT APPEARED LIKE THIS LADY DIDN'T WANT US IN. These 2 very uncoordinated people made us go in and out of the place which was very unpleasant. We were ready to wait but she kept telling us how they're gonna take time. Very inefficient and bad service. Kudos to all the other waiters there though.
Love this place! Excellent service each time, huge drink menu and the food is good!
Wonderful B-day experience (b-day person gets $30 off of meal after 4pm). I had wonderful Tiger Prawns. There were a lot (10!) and they where extremely well prepared. We had a great time, thanks everyone!
Great food, great drinks, great staff! Went here for a friend's birthday and we had so much fun
we stopped in for happy hour, great service and great appys. However we did have deep fried pickles that were great (but prefer than sliced the other way like potato chips) We let them sit for a few minutes as they were deep fried and never thought to ask for a fork as best eaten with fingers,. When I did take a bite they were so hot I jumped back and the pickle slid out and touched my thumb. HOT
Somewhat uplifted pub food. "Hell" wings are just buffalo wings - good, though! The jambalaya is decent. FYI - no nachos here. Pachos (waffle potatoes, nacho style) are alright, but don't hold up to the toppings the way tortilla chips do. The building is beautiful and the patio is huge and good for afternoon wobbly pops!
Callie our waitress was awesome!
I came tonight with a party of 25 plus and kyla took care of us! She was legendary and so incredibly fast and so friendly. Took names right away and remembered them all night. Incredible!!! Party was blown away. If u book in the future for large partys request her! =)
Teighan was amazing server, very friendly.
Great time with friends, service can be slow at times especially on slower days.
Never been to this franchise before, the food was disappointing - brussel sprouts were undercooked and the steak was bland. Drinks were good though and the service was awesome! **** Returned and had the hot wings, they were really good! It's a nice place, just don't go for the steak, if they can improve the food I'm sure it would be fine.
The person who call herself manager there (AMANDA) doesn’t know how to talk . Visited there with friends told a very lame reason that I’ve a fake BCID, she refused to check any other id , why would someone in this world make a fake BCID ? This is not something against but it is not good for the company reputation.please give some training. PERIOD.
Excellent food, nice staff and pretty good ambience! I am new to town, only been here once and it is the best find so far! I am definitely going back to this place. They gave a crammed booth at the far corner and I banged my head and knees trying to fit in to the bench. Gonna ask for a different seat next time.????
Good food. Prices inflated a touch tho
Amazing food. Great to go at happy hour. One of my favorite places in Vancouver.
Nice pub. Needs better burgers tasted like Walmart frozen Patty's. But cool building and the frys where great!
We love the happy hour on this place! Wings are big and delish! Service is always friendly and attentive. Please dont take the happy hour away ever! Hopefully you guys can adjust it to 8pm instead of 9 pm :)
So disappointing... Canada Day on the patio was a sh*tshow. It was extremely obvious the servers didn't know the table numbers, they were frantic and confusing. They didnt know what was on the menu and didn't know how to stick with their original tables. In the 2 hours we spent there we had 7 servers. Thank goodness our food was delivered on time, the two tables next to us sat down shortly after us and were served their food after 1 HOUR AND THE ORDER WAS STILL WRONG. What the He*l management, get your poop in a group and train these ladies properly. Steak was over cooked, I asked for medium rare, got well done. I am severely disappointed in this birthday experience, the one in Kamloops is so much better than this one. I give this location 2 years max, then it will flop. #fail
The pachos were soooo good! They had so many variations of drinks. Cocktails, mocktails, non alcoholic beverages even. It happened to be Music Bingo night and the host was very charismatic and inclusive. Bartender, despite being the only staff upstairs, was fantastic. Very polite, answered all our questions. Overall, great experience.
Awesome place wicked food and the drinks "The Big Bootie" is the best summer drink ever!!
Beware when ordering cocktails. Unless you specify you want a single, you get served a double, even during the happy hour special. They say it says that on the menu but no where does it say that on the menu. Not only that but the food is such poor quality, things you would think could be decent are still bad. Not recommended.
Awesome place with a great atmosphere and amazing food. We ordered Pachos, Ceasar salad and chicken dumplings. Everything was amazing. especially the Pachos. Their patio is pretty big and tables are spread out very nicely so you're not in anyone's bubble. Definitely coming here again to try more food.
Staff was very attentive to covid protocols which made me very comfortable to dine here. The patio is very nice with tables spaced out so it's not over crowded. Server, was fairly busy but made sure I was taken care of. I had the chicken and bacon flatbread and it was very good. Nice to see local beer on tap as well.
It's.. fine? The drinks are fine, the food is fine. The service is good. The patio is the real draw, and the drink prices are reasonable. I'm never blown away by anything here, yet.. we keep coming back. So there's a draw for sure!
Cheap place to eat. And staff are nice.
So happy to have this place back in town. My go to for late night eats. The drink menu is amazing, so much to choose from. Can't get pachos anywhere else!!
Great food awesome building, really like this spot. Really glad it's close to my work.
Solid place. Have you lived your foodie life if you havent had pachos? I have memories back in the day when they still had a Surrey location. Food is good and atmosphere gives you that pub feel. Came for late night appy hour. Pachos, of course, mckraken rolls, deep fried pickles, all yum! If you're craving the pub fare, Kellys is your place.
Not bad considering we are still dealing with the pandemic. The drink selection was just okay. Not a great selection of import beers.
I am a bit disappointed of the food. The service is good.
5 stars for pearl w for the great service. But 4 stars for the limited bear menu! Overall I liked it!
Great food and excellent service. Happy hour deals are high quality.
Food is always great here. I like the appys. Try it out sometime
Food, service and drinks…amazing! Thanks Sheila!
Good price and good food
I've been twice so far and both times enjoyed original and very tasty food. I took kids both times so I can speak to the restaurant side... Good vibe with TVs... Kids menu is good
An utter disappointment!! After ordering two Irish coffees, my friend and I settled in to what we believed would be a lovely evening. Once our coffees arrived, we shared with the waitress how attractive the drink looked with the green whipped cream on-top. It is here where our experience took a sharp dump into the abyss. The drinks were so watered down that the coffee tasted just awful. When the waitress returned, we explained our dilemma. My friend decided to order a beer instead. I asked if the drink could be remade with a stronger coffee. This Madame was not going to have any of that, and proceeded to to explain to me that their is nothing wrong with the Irish coffee and that I should choose another beverage. We both explained that the Irish coffee was not up to standard. But .... we were wrong and she was right. My companion pointed out that perhaps she should just bring a sample of the coffee for us to taste, as we believe it was the coffee. With an attitude she walked away, and placed us on ignore. Result, we got up after a 15 minute or so of waiting and being ignored, and we left. Utterly disgusting. Not a restaurant I will recommend.
Have been wanting to go for a while. Unremarkable. There were no Irish food items on the menus except meager 2- a stew with Guinness, and shepherds pie. Menu was limited - it did not offer the same as some of the photos of the menus on line. Pity.
Great food and drinks. Service was fast and friendly
Excellent food and atmosphere. Will definitely return. Waitstaff is extremely helpful and attentive.
Great service! The wings are awesome and the stuffed Yorkies will have wanting more!
Thr atmosphere is great and drinks are reasonably priced. Bathrooms are clean and outdoor seating is nice during hotter days. The food isn't great but passable, some drinks aren't the same as what you'd expect (a cocktail being made as a shot) but ask beforehand and you'll be fine.
So disappointed that this restaurant has forgotten about customer service, and one of the servers is so extremely rude. The food was worthless too.
Extensive drink menu, a great place to get drinks. Food was very very subar and average, nothing special or overly delicious. A bit expensive for what you get. Champ potato had an odd aftertaste. Service very slow.
Food was good and only spent 91$ total for 4 frineds
Yum! First time visit. Decor (old CP train station) is cool. Food was good; service was exceptional. We will go back.
Food came out quick, if you're looking for a great appetizer get the regular nachos with bacon and extra cheese. Best tasting item on the menu by far. Atmosphere is relatively cozy as well.
Great atmosphere and staff. The prices were quite high but everything tasted great.
I love this place. Go on your birthday for a free prime rib dinner!
Pleasantly surprised by their food quality ! Thank you
Nice atmosphere and friendly server. Had a beef dip which was okay. Came with fries which were very good.
Vanessa was our server and did an excellent job!
Food was good, service was a bit on the slow side.
Amazing food and service. Can't get any better especially during Covid. Thank you for an amazing experience. And great pricing. Thank you!
Overpriced, bad quality food. Drinks are subpar.
Grew up on Kelly O’s in Prince George and it took me 10 years of living in Vancouver until I found out I could take a 15min skytrain to the OG capital city to get me some succulent Pachos and juicy Lips. I thought before going “Ryan, you are just sensationalizing you past youth experiences and memories.” Nope... it’s still just as good as I remember. The food I mean. I can’t speak for all the experiences with staff, but I’m sure they are ok.
Food is awesome! Will be back soon
Great time, great service. Poor parking but they're under construction. So still 5 star.
Food is pretty overpriced, and they are bar food. When you go in this kind of environment you'd expect some fine dinning equivalent experience. Waitress and the manager were nice, and it's been an okay visit.
Tuna taco was great. Our server was a bit hard to keep at the table. One person would order, then she'd run away before the next person could ask for something. It was busy though, and she was nice, so I can't even be mad.
My friends and I went here a couple weeks ago. There were 10 of us and we came with a lot of gift cards. Though it was busy on the weekend, they had space for us outside on the patio. It was nice to be out in the sun. They brought out appies, entrees and drinks in a timely manner and our waitress was friendly and sociable. She had no problem charging all our gift cards. Impressed with their general attitude and efficiency.
Draught beer was very good. Food desperately needs seasoning. We ordered 3 appetizers (chicken tenders, pachos, and quesadillas). They might need a “kick it up option” where you can ask they put some seasoning on the food. The pachos are their take on nachos. Epic fail … but props for trying. Honestly just stick with killer nachos using top quality ingredients and stop using potatoes as nacho substitute. Our server was super amazing and the patio is huge for downtown New Westminster. If we do ever go back, it will just be for the drinks Even though it’s pub food, you should be able to kill it with a good menu Was kind of very blah food
The food was fine the drinks were OK. The blond waitress rushed us soo much and was really unkind until we were finished ordering. I wish I remembered her name. Some of our group didn't even bother ordering because of her attitude. I wouldn't mind going back but that energy makes this place very very hard to recommend.
This place is pretty darn good. I've been here twice, once on a Friday evening and the most recent on a Tuesday evening. This is a pretty slick place. Good service, decent priced beers. Nice food menu that isn't over expensive for the portion sizes. I'll be back
It was a Friday evening visit, the servers are friendly, foods good, no red flags there, except the beyond meat burger where there was a vegan in our group, the bun and sauce could not be confirmed not to have eggs in it, I'd never come a cross this issue but to be honest, a very valid issue for that individual, but otherwise across the street from the SkyTrain, so super convenient, a pool table upstairs, a 2 floor establishment, even has an accessible washroom on the main floor, I believe there is parking out back on the front st. side, parking lot is not huge so street parking or parking across at the cinema maybe a better bet I'd recommend this place to others.
I love this place. I go here all the time. They have the nicest staff I have ever met. Zac is the coolest guy ever (after me of course). He gave the best service I have ever gotten. I can't wait to see how far Zac goes in the food and beverage industry. He's going to do great things
Good food & service, authentic atmosphere.
Fun drink menu but didn't get to try it. Waitress could have been more attentive, did not come back to allow is to order a second drink, I can say that the beer was ok
my review is based in more that 5 times that I have been in this place. Friendly place, good location, clean fresh,. classic rock background music, tv at the bar, good selection of beers and enjoyable meals, food is great. Last time there the Bartender forgot couple of orders and she delivery my food to the wrong person but probably because was very busy. in general nice place to have a drink.
The drinks and staff are all top notch!! I highly recommend!
Great drink menu. Best to go at happy hour for the best deals. Try the wings extra crispy.
Good food and portion size, they need more beer specials on lagers though ;)
Cozy place, huge drink menu, delicious food! Location is very convenient, honestly what more can I say!
Excellent food!! Reasonable portions. Polite servers. Would have given 5 stars if I didn't lose my hearing from the noise level. If you want to communicate to anyone in your party (other than with sign language) ask to be seated at the back area near the washrooms.
The drinks and food here are awesome. The staff were on the ball and excellent.
Tuesday night trivia was a lot of fun!
They use balloon Red wine glasses for red anb white wine which is kind of wierd., staff not trained well and walking pathways for servers very congested to make it easy for collisions. Kind of like watching stock car racing waiting for them to crash into each other
I met up with an old friend at this heritage building that use to be The Keg Steakhouse for lunch. It looks pretty much the same inside with exception to this absolutely wonderful horse shoe bar! We both ordered brocolli soup in sourdough bread cup. It was a meal in itself. Very tasty. The staff was very nice and the beer was ice cold, definitely a place we will go back to : )
This place looks great! Love the location. They kept so much on the buildings character, like the exposed brick. The open layout downstairs is fabulous. I love the windows on both sides of the building so lots to watch. They were busy yet big enough to accommodate on the two levels. Our food came out quick and was awesome. We took advantage of the 1/2 price appies after 9pm. We love kelly o's restaurants and this one did not disappoint. For its second night open it appeared that it was run like a well oiled machine. The 'allstar' staff they brought in to train new staff was attentive, friendly and worked like a team. So great to see many familiar faces such as Chris and the awesome Jenn K who was our server. Parking was suprisingly a non issue with free street parking after 8 pm on front and back of building and they also have several spots on the restaurant property. Check this place out if you want yummy pub food and a fun non pretentious atmosphere.
Good place great drinks and food but we had been forgotten by staff on multiple occasions and that looses them a star
Service is nice. But food isn't as good as other British/Irish pub. The Lobster Futtucine was too watery. The beef stew was too chewry.
Good food, nice atmosphere for a pub. The specials are great and the staff are quite attentive even during busy nights.
Food is good, drinks are yummy
First time at Kelly O’s the drinks & food are great! Pochous are the best I highly recommend it. Shelia was professional and very nice about the drinks we asked about.
Excellent pub fare. Our server (Tessa) was absolutely amazing. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. We don't go out much so receiving amazing service like this is always such a treat.
Lovely patio and nice meal. Lived the twice baked potatoe
Food was expensive and not that great. Decor/ambiance was drab. Very disappointed on the renos they did to this iconic train station.
Great food, excellent service and bloody loud! If you like a good beer, a good meal, and shouting at your dinner companions, this place is for you!
Visiting from out of town and stopped for a light lunch. My wife and I split three items that were all great!! And the staff were all excellent as well, especially Tamara. Already looking forward to returning.
Great experience and food. Shelia our server was great
Menu is over priced and limited. Service is below average and not very welcoming. Renovations are top notch but this is less a neighborhood pub and more a hipster watering hole. New West has many better pubs.
Good vibes, friendly staff, would like to see a wider selection of local beers. Really good deep fried pickles.
Went here this evening for our son’s birthday and this restaurant did not disappoint. The food was good and they honour their offer to give $30 discount off your bill on your birthday; just show your ID. No need to print coupons like other places just to get your birthday offer. So awesome, thank you to our server Paige for the good service.
I'm glad this pub was able to shift and adjust to the unreasonable tyrannical regulations put in place without warning from the PHO. Despite being forced to dine in the cold, due to Dr. Henry, I had a great experience. Friendly and accommodating service from Kailea.
I really love this place! They have great staff, very nice service, amazing food and always a good environment. Family friendly, perfect to go with friends or even by yourself.
Love this place! Many choices of food and drinks!
Online menu did not match what restaurant was offering. Changed from when looking earlier in the day. 2 for 1 apps no longer available, and no suitable promo to encourage return
Went there on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and their happy hour. After they sat us down our waitress passed by us a couple of times before asking if we wanted something and when she ordered, she was extremely impatient, and it felt like we were inconveniencing her and that she had no time for us. The food came fairly quickly but was unremarkable. I did like the bacon By the looks of things they are not Covid compliant; no staff wearing masks!!!, no directional arrows, sitting large groups together, and no extra precautions when giving us our meals. I did not feel comfortable when I went there. Giving 1 star for the cheap drinks and good bacon
Teighan is the best server ever…100% recommended. pachos are immaculate
Had a great birthday dinner for my daughter. The server was brilliant and deserved that 20%. Love the wavey fries and Halibut. The veggie faghitas were awesome. Oh did I mention the Harp lagers...classic drink. Parking is across the street in the under ground of the anvil center and well priced. Good place and will go again.
Good happy hour , love fire tables and heaters
Drinks are good but food is not great and is overpriced. Not many options for vegetarians here.
Cool place, patio is big and good enough for Spring and summer, hope indoor return soon at the end of this boring pandemic.
Very big protion, tastewise so-so. The restaurant is quite noisy and you hear everyone speaking loudly.
It's a dump and smelled of stale cigarettes. Everything surface in the place was sticky, as were the menus. The food (teriyaki taco) was a salty inedible mess. The soup was weird. The fries were underdone. I love a good dive bar, but I'll never go back here.
This is my second time visiting a Kelly O'Bryan's (the first time being your location in Kelowna). Both times, the service was okay but not the best. This time, our server was very friendly. She had great enthusiasm as a server should. However, being in the industry, I found it a bit frustrating that we got only quality check at the very beginning of our meal and then ignored for the rest of it. We sat with empty drinks for about 20-30 mins. The next time our server came to our table, we asked for another drink and then the bill because we weren't sure when she'd come around to us again. Additionally, although their happy hour menu offers good choices, 8 wings for $10? I could go to Wings and get 1lb for $7 on wing night. Overall, the food and drinks were good but there's room for improvement.
Great food, customer service and very nice building.
WOW! What a great place. The menu is large with lots of great options, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was energizing. We'll be back for sure!
Good service, great happy hour options with reasonable prices; place is beautiful... certainly we will repeat the experience.
So, I'd just like to start by saying I hope you're having a lovely day so far. I am not one to usually do this but I feel what I'm about to write needs to be brought to your attention. My friend attended your fine establishment for his birthday and let me say the spirits were high! A few above average adult beverages were consumed and he was very happy to be involved in your chains fine history and and livelihood. The atmosphere was one part nostalgia and one part joyous laughter. This was supposed to be an incredible bonding experience and a night we soon wouldn't forget. We did achieve that expectation, however, was not in the positive fashion we hoped for. Not only did the aforementioned man of honor have to pay $25.95 out of his own pocket, but he was then forced to sing happy birthday to himself as the waiting staff stood around and laughed. It was an outrage, a bloody outrage I tell you! Unless this matter is resolved I feel I wont be able to return.Even worse, I cant hear the happy birthday song without turning to him and laughing uncontrollably at his expense.
I went here for my friend's birthday and had never been here previously. The service and decor was great but the food was mediocre. I got the stroganoff and the quality and portion size did not represent to the high cost they were charging. Another one of my friends had a hard time eating the burger they ordered due to the excessive grease. If the quality, portion size, or price was improved, I would increase my rating
Delicious food! Great patio and good service. The servers don't wear masks which is not good..they should be wearing them when serving. Otherwise good atmosphere.
Always love coming here whenever I'm in the area. I definitely recommend getting the Pachos - best appie to share! Their staff are mostly friendly and welcoming, but we've had a few servers who seemed like they didn't want to be there at all, so it's a hit or miss. Despite that, the food is great!
Love the atmosphere Love the waiter Just an amazing place 100% going back
The service was very poor cuz Caleena added more beers to my bill&she was very slow
I lived next to this building a few years back and was really hoping someone would turn it into a restaurant or pub after The Keg closed. When I heard it would be an Irish bar a couple years later I was real excited. I have gone 3 times now and will never go again. Beer selection is sub-par, food is sub-par, menu feels like it is from a cheap American chain. It is really sad to see such a great building turned into this. The place was fully renovated but somehow felt dated and didn't take advantage of the cool architecture. Disappointing.
Honestly, I didn't like this place at first sight. The menu is cheesy, the food seems expensive for the style, and it just reads like an outdated pub. However, Kelly O'Bryans is a DIAMOND in the rough! Yes, the drinks are a bit pricey, but damnit if they aren't well-made and consistent. That makes them worth the price. Yes, it's a cheesy atmosphere upon first glance, but when you give it a second look you will see they really went out of their way to keep the original structure, and have done an amazing job at creating a bar that looks like it was built 50 years ago but is somehow brand new. The food is pricey, but it's DELICIOUS. The usual unassuming pub fare is steakhouse quality. The contemporary West Coast food most pubs get wrong is as good or better than most fine dining restaurants. The appy specials are a great deal, too! Despite all these great points, what really keeps us coming back is the SERVICE. I don't know where the owner/manager finds their staff, but wow! When I say "service," I don't just mean they do their job. I mean, the people working there have great personalities and give off an awesome and genuine vibe. They put us in a BETTER mood than when we came in. Specifically, Darren, Sean and Mark have been our servers and they're all such great guys. The hostess is always friendly, and the bartender (I don't remember his name) is really personable, too. I highly recommend anyone to try Kelly/Carlos O'Bryans out with an open mind. Don't judge too quickly by the 'novelty' appearance. This place has real character.
Nice venue and location, our server was very attentive. I wish we were told there were more bathrooms than the single one on the main floor, there was a huge line up because no one knew about upstairs.
Love the service love the photo . Great space with seating
Their service is excellent. Large selection in their menu you can easily pick something you enjoy for everyone. Reasonable price point. We ordered Pachos and Chicken Lips goes really well together and delicious. McCracken Rolls, stuffed mushrooms, I can't stop eating them. The only change I would make next time would be added extra cheese for Pachos but that's because I love cheese. They also provide birthday treats where you get a full meal free of charge without registering in advance which doesn't happen with many establishment these days. Definitely, would go back again.
Went for lunch today with a couple of friends and I liked it. I haven’t dined out much in awhile and I have to say that the service here was awesome. They followed Provincial Health Orders and checked vaccination status on entry, we were …
Great drink prices with more expensive food but good deals on their happy hour / after 9. We love Darren and his very cool kilt.
I went here for my birthday Fabulous deal ON YOUR Birthday. $30 towards your meal. Stellar We had great service. Like really great. On that alonealone I would go back. Food was somewhat standard fair for an Irish style pub (in terms of choice) and quite good. I had a rack of ribs with some potato bacon chowder and waffle fries. All were really enjoyable. This was on a Monday night around 18:00 when things were not busy, which I prefer. I would most definitely go back. Thanks for the good time!
Food is meh the drinks are overpriced. But only went for the pool table anyways
Right next to the New Westminster station and open till late, it was a pleasant experience
Great staff and drinks. I had a hamburger and it was okay. The bun could be improved as it broke apart.
Love this place, good food, good atmosphere
Had a wonderful experience here... Abigail was amazing.. We had Pachos and chicken lips... Service was prompt and we had a lovely time here.. Thankew ????!!!
Great restaurant in downtown Kelowna. Lindsay was great, and the food and drink was fantastic.
Great ambience and easy accessibility. But to top is all, hands down butter chicken with authentic flavors and highly recommended N.Y. Cheesecake which comes with some syrupy strawberries and a mousse to balance the flavors. Just delicious ????
Good location and nice atmosphere inside. Very wide range of drink choices and they're all quite tasty. The wooden booths are a touch uncomfortable due to how they are designed. Staff was knowledgeable and gave good drink suggestions.
Awesome spot to have a pint and watch the world go by: cool place to take in the passing trains or catch a game. Great food and staff. Irish pubs rock, will be back!
Its a really pretty restaurant with good ambience, but no options for vegans and vegetarians
Outdoor seating was fantastic. Waitress was friendly, patient and gave great recommendations. Will be going back.
Lovely location for food and happy hour! Food was great, our server, Abbee was terrific!!
THEY DON'T WEAR MASKS. They serve food and alcohol, and get pretty close to you as they serve. All without wearing a mask. I understand the advice from the BC disease control is just that advice. But you would think individuals that are in the highest risk would take precautions to ensure their safety and their customers. Deeply disappointed.
Great food and atmosphere. Enjoyed it while watching Raptors and Canucks at the same time.
Never a bad time here yet. Love the old building it's in
Great double happy hour(3-6pm & 9-close) every day. Cheerful staff. Tasty beer selection and decent food stuff. Still not ???? why they have two names but, hey, do your multi-faceted-Irish-thing, Kelly O’Carlos. PS - extra diligent COVID-19 safety protocols in this place so you can relax, unwind, and enjoy your pint with peace-o-mind. PSS - pretty skimpy on the chicken in the chicken fajitas. That being said, it’s just great not to be in lockdown right now. So, there’s that. ????♂️
This restaurant is not following social distancing guidelines. Waitresses are not wearing masks and standing VERY close to patrons on the patio (around 24" face to face). Please operate your business in a safe manner during a pandemic. FOLLOW-UP: I did contact Fraser Health and they confirmed that masks for servers is not a legal requirement. However they will be contacting the restaurant about the distance issue. But think about it--a waiter is picking up your dish from the kitchen, and breathing on it while it comes to your table. It's a free country, but personally I will not be giving this restaurant my business.
Pub food is always good. Never a let down.
I used to go to the Kelly O'Bryan's in Kamloops quite often, the food and service are good. This location is pretty cool though, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the old train station.
This place is AWESOME! Everytime I go the food, service and drinks are PERFECT and atmosphere is fun and inviting. Even with a hockey game on and music bingo being played upstairs we were still able to enjoy our meal without being disturbed!
Excellent customer service! The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
The food was so-so. The prices are high. The service was apathetic. Our server looked and acted like she would rather be somewhere else.
Great selection of average drinks. None of the drinks here really blew me away. The prices are really good especially during happy hour however for a Irish pub I expected a bit better. Again, they have a ton of cocktails and beers so almost everyone will find something they like. Worth a shot to try as maybe I could not find the hidden gems on their expansive menu.
Cutlery and glasses were all dirty. Also seems like they are understaffed since they are always in a rush to leave the table
This place unfortunately a total disappointment. Went there a week ago on a nice hot evening, showed up at 9:05 pm and asked to be seated on the patio. There were still 6 tables occupied. The hostess and the manager turned us down saying that the reason is because the city bylaw is to close the patio at 9pm. We said but there are other people still sitting there, can you please not make an exception, we were practically begging them. No, they refused to seat us on the patio. I called the restaurant a few days later and the person answering the phone said it closes at 10 pm. But if its not busy it closes earlier. So they were still open when we first tried to get a seat and they refused us just because they considered it not busy.. I called City of New Westminster just to confirm the patio closure bylaw and they confirmed 10:00 pm. I just don't have trust in this place. Especially if they are being dishonest about the city bylaw rules and blaming it on that I'm really questioning if they are following Covid-19 rules and regulations. I have sent the email to the restaurant and the person replying back supposedly is an owner, that actually didn't even try to gain our trust. Just left it as.. well I hope to see you soon again. Super disappointing especially coming from the owner. I don't think I would ever go back. Perhaps it would be a great investment to look up to some of the high reputation restaurants and learn from them how they treat and deal with their customers.
Fun place. Good drink selection. Decent food. Attentive servers. Awkward location with only 9 free spots to park on their lot, but lots of pay street parking.
Our server Jarrett was awesome! Made some recommendations and they were delicious. Had the deep fried pickles, broccoli & bacon soup and Celtic chicken. Will be returning again soon.
Always friendly upbeat service...great food from the steak to the appys...nice homey atmosphere....so glad to bave a place like it neaby....a very welcome addition to our neighborhood....
Food was fair but unexceptional, and quite expensive. Portion sizes were adequate for an average appetite. Service was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive. Menu listed chicken quesadillas as a Celtic specialty, which is not really important, but made me laugh.
Second visit - A friend convinced me to give this place another shot. Verdict: Go across the street to Piva or El Santos instead. This place is horrible. At the same price point you can get much better food across the street. Overpriced for mediocre to poor food. Their pachos seem to be a signature but sadly they were soft and flavourless. Usually I like big proportions but it was a whole lot of bad food so I didn't even want to eat it. I also had the shepherds pie and it was underwhelming. ----- First visit - Service was fine because of our enthusiastic server. But food was terrible and there were too many mistakes. 1) Ordered a white wine and I got a red 2) Ordered a halibut dinner but they got the order wrong and gave us halibut fish and chips 3) Ribs were tough and dry 4) Overpriced for what it is Would not come back here. A big shame because the building is nice. Fingers crossed this business gets replaced.
Great Evening Went to Kelly O,Bryan’s the other nite for dinner. First time in a pub since March and was not disappointed. Very busy pub but all Covid protocols were adhered to. Excellent selection of cocktails and beer including special mixes like Chelada. A nice addition. Started with the ribs and our main courses were the fish and chips and the beef dip. Loved the waffle fries. Shift manager Tess, and our server were great. Our new go to pub in New Westminster.
Love this location! Our waiter was amazing super friendly and talked very highly about his co workers and drew always makes amazing meals :)
always a favourite / must go spot to visit when I’m in town! Patchos are the best !!
Prime Rib Yorkies were good, but the potato skins and chicken quesadillas were over-cooked. Not worth the money paid.
Great food and good service. Highly attentive and helpful staff. Great patio and indoor seating.
Great place to bring a date! The female server was nice, funny and honest with the menu choices. Plus she went the extra mile to make sure my lady's food was gluten free! Love this place!
Expensive drinks and food. Quality of food is so so and portions are not that big.
Had some great beer at the downtown Kelly O’s and was served by Lindsay who was a great server
My sister and I visited this pub yesterday. We were excited to finally get a chance to try it. We had read some unfavorable reviews but decided to see for ourselves and we were pleasantly surprised. Our server, Tamara could not have been more pleasant and her service was great. We shared the fish tacos and the chili prawns and both were very good. They have drink specials every day and yesterday was wine so we timed it right! We will definitely go back either by ourselves, with each other or with friends.
Excellent tasting food great portions size for the price
Awesome service, good food
Amazing place can even bring your dog if their well behaved
Kelly O Bryan's is a really bad restaurant. Service is really bad. They seated me and a friend at a dirty table the the waiter took a long time. When we got our food we got no cutlery or napkins and waiter didn't come and check on us to see how our food was or if we needed anything else but yet he was going to other tables and checking up on others. Terrible staff and service. Never going there again.
Fun atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks, billiards, pull tabs, lottery machine, loads of tvs. All in all excellent experience.
My friends burger was extremely dry and flavorless. My chicken burger was served in a cold bun and was soggy wet on one side. Also flavorless. Generally like hospital food but really expensive. $20 for something significantly worse than a $10 burger from anywhere else. I did like the waffle-cut fries and the service was good.
I had an amazing time at this place ! Food was 100% on point and drinks were very reasonable. We were greeted with respect and the waitress provided excellent customers service ! We will be back again
There wasn’t enough napkins! I asked the server for more but he never brought me more napkins!
Everytime I come here, the service and food is really good. Tamara is always so friendly. Thanks.
Great little place, awesome atmosphere, delicious food, very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
Had a great first time here! Service was stellar - they were on top of every detail - even though there was a party of 25 sitting in our section. Prime Rib Oscar was delicious - well worth the cost. Will definitely be back....and bringing ourfriend!
First time there was for my birthday and found out that on your birthday you get free lunch or dinner. Had not been in this venue since it was the Keg.Now it has been turned into an Irish style Pub Restaurant. Wait staff uniforms are wonderful plaid tartans kilts. Staff were very pleasant. Iam adding a photo of my yummy dinner prime rib topped with lobster and Yorkshire pudding and waffle fries.
After having read several not so favorable reviews about this location my sister and I decided to try it anyway. We were greeted right away and seated in a perfect booth. Our server, Tamara, was really fun and made our visit one that we would like to replicate. Our food was good; wine was cold and the dessert was delicious. Tamara answered ALL our questions and spent more time at our table than she was ever required to. Great experience. Great service and will definitely be back...with friends!! Thank you.
Tonight i had a worst time in this restaurant I planned to treat my friends after a long time . First one all, no tissue was on the tables .after getting our food done, one of the servers got mad at us and throw our receipt on our table.I even didn’t understand what’s going on there . So disappointed. I asked for the reason but he didn’t answer us properly. I felt ashamed infront of my friends and i never come back again.
Great pub to get with some friends to meet up for a drink or two. However a little pricey on both drinks and food. I will admit they got some amazing stuff.
Now that things are settling down, this is one of those places to revisit. Protocols are in place. Service was very attentive. All their classic items, including the Mud Pie, are there to enjoy in the signature surroundings. The Dublin Stack was perfect, and the St. Paddy's Lamb Burger was absolutely off the chain. Going back soon.
Wow what a night! Absolutely incredible. Food was amazing. Price was amazing. Service was incredible. Couldn’t be happier. Will most definitely be coming back regularly! Darren was our favourite waiter and the assistant GM was incredible as well. Bring your sister and your friend! Go now!
Food is very pricy. Quality is fine but nothing special, just a normal pub food. Fish and chips one piece 20$.
Was ok.... I might eat there again...most probably not.
My brother and I had an amazing lunch with great service ???? Love this place ????
Excellent food and service. Can be pricey but go during happy hour. Beef dip and their waffle fries were excellent
Stopped in and had some good food. Good prices and atmosphere.
I have been wanting to check this place out since they opened but it was packed every Friday and Saturday. No parking with in blocks so finally today (Tuesday) i saw a parking spot so gave it a try. Being an Irish restaurant I assumed the Irish stew with prime rib would be good. BIG mistake the meat was extremely tough and virtually inedible. The restaurant is extremely loud and the food is very over priced. I sent the stew back and i was very hungry so went to another restaurant that had better food at lower prices. The good thing about this place was server Darren and hostess Victoria they made it worth our time with their excellent service.
Service was excellent, appetizers were decent and the guiness burger was great. Good place for happy hour.
Was here on a Saturday night from 7:30pm-12am upstairs and the slowest service. Seemed liked they were way understaffed. Twice they forgot to bring out my order of beer. Waited over 20 mins to get another beer. Saturday night, Irish pub, and they can't get the beer orders right. Update: Amanda, the assistant GM reached out to find out more about my experience. She assured that it was not their standard of service, and met with the team to ensure that others would not share this experience. She showed that the restaurant really does care about their customers.
Love Ashley!!! She’s the best
If men in skirts interests you...this is the pub to visit. The staff are dressed in tartants to keep the pub theme visible. Great atmosphere...great servers...great food and drink. Highly recommended.
We were really excited to try out this place for the first time. Not sure if we just had a one off experience or not but the food was terrible. “Celtic chicken” had no trace of crab, the chicken was a tiny piece of pressed “meat” so chewy and tough it had the consistency of pork. It was a complete turn off. Everything else on the plate was bland. The stew was a glossy, overly salty mess with chewy pieces of beef. As a service provider who has to deal with the public I was also surprised that none of the staff wore masks. Maybe if you drink enough it will mask the quality of the food.
Nice interior, staff were friendly. The food was so-so, got the prime rib asked for medium rare but it came well done so totally different end of the scale. Also an item was missed from the main dish. A lot of the food doesn't seem to fit the price tag. For the price and a decent meal go to the Keg. I don't think i would go back.
Great staff..nice selection of craft/draught beer that changes frequently... above average pub style food...Happy Hour prices every day from 2-5, and 2 for 1 appetizers from 9pm till midnight .. all in a gorgeous old historic building...!!!!!
Great food, great service and reasonable prices. Happy hour menus with a wide selection of food and drink. The patio is great for people watching, or if you prefer inside the old train station offers tons of atmosphere. On your birthday meals are free!
We had a great time at Kelly o'brians tonight. The food was delicious. Will go back.
Great place, friendly staff,The City of New Westminster Pipeband stopped in after playing tunes at the Anvil Center and was warmly welcomed,we played a couple of tunes for the patrons,it was a fun evening.
It was my sister's birthday & we had 1 friend with us!! Our server Blair was extremely good & pleasant & the food was awesome!! Great happy hour choices and prices!! A lot of fun busy but covid rules were followed properly!! We want to go again soon!
Nice surroundings keeping its historic charm. Good pub food and excellent bar. Service was courteous and prompt.
I came here for their happy hour. We ordered the pachos and the dry ribs. The pachos were so good that we ordered another order! The dry ribs on the other hand were very salty. I really liked the beer selection they had for happy hour. However, I did not feel safe dining there. None of the staff were wearing masks and they handled our food and drinks and talked all over it and there were no directional arrows on the ground either.
The service was great, very attentive. The food is somewhere between awful and mediocre.
It has wonderful staff they make you feel at home they take care of your needs. Your not just another customer they make a point of knowing who you are. The owner Jen has a love about her business and shows through her staff. They have the best patio. Their food is great and consistant, the kitchen staff are as equally respected as the front staff. Two happy hours a day, a huge drink menu and their events before COVID were great. Waiting to see what is too come. A must to visit.
Meh. Not cheap, nothin special it appears they are trying to be a sports bar. Or an Irish pub. Or a restaurant. It’s not clear. Food was cooked fine, although for the price, it was pretty average. the fajitas came with a weird mix of veggies (baby corn?) The food also took a really long time. Be prepared to wait. I doubt I’d come back.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and a fantastic drink and beer selection.
Great good. Sheppard pie, comes with a side. I always get the bacon broclie soup, no extra charge.
I’ve gone to this pub a couple of times. The first time with my mother and daughters we ordered chicken wings and burgers. We waited about 45 minutes and the wings were almost raw, the blood squirted out when I bit into them. So we complained and they said they would do it well done and again they came under cooked. The second time I went with my husband and we ordered the full rack of ribs. This time I got a serious stomach ache and felt nauseous the next day. I won’t come back here to eat any more until they learn how to cook.
The manager was super nice along with staff. Would buy them a drink anytime..
I have been to Kelly O’s several times, but this last one the service was so exceptional I had to leave a review. I would never normally do this. Our server, Charlotte, cemented Kelly’s in my top Kelowna bars. Through our 6 hours here, she was friendly, consistent, and welcoming. Even though it was busy, we had every order catered to immediately. The quality of service was next to none, and if every server was like Charlotte I would never go to another bar.
Service was great. Food was over priced.
Really enjoyed my dinner here last night, thank you!
Asked for hot sauce repeadtly and never got it for their chips. Then when ordering chicken wings they also came out with no hot sauce either? Very strange, service aside from that was good very friendly.
Went there last night with two buddies of mine. Place was an absolute blast! Great atmosphere, very comforting, and the food was astounding. Will definitely be coming back many times!
Fun, friendly servers, great food and menu. Prices a little steep or would have been 5.
Food not that great, prime rib steak cold, beer not cold enuf bf said...
Outside patio service due to COVID. Staff cheerful and food and beverages good
Best pachos!!! Better service this time. Great specials.
Great place for a beer. Did not have any food.
Do not order stir fry as its horrible. No taste or flavor to it and was mostly carrots and green peppers. just plain awful and waste of money
Horrible service, food, and atmosphere. Never again!
Terrible Quality of food ,The Celtic chicken taste like over cooked frozen chicken breast with absolutely no flavour at all,The menu says it comes with veggies, all it came with was half a cob of corn that was disgusting flavour. Taste like cow corn .. The only thing that is good is the pachos.. Very overpriced I have been to the original one in Kelowna back in the 90s and they had excellent food specializing in their chicken ,but this place is nowhere close, very disappointed I would never go back .
Good food, but we made a reservation for 7 and they put us at two round tables. How were we supposed to have a conversation? I know its a pub, but why? It was a calm wednesday
Free birthday meal here!! ????????
Horrible service, rude waitresses, took 25 minutes to make a rum and coke. Avoid this place at all cost, it’s trash! Save your money and go elsewhere where you will be treated with respect. Been there twice and both times have been a horrible experience. You can go see for yourself, but id rather just not go there at all.
Food was good but the service sucked, our server was nice, but too slow
Love this place, 2 for 1 appies after 9pm, huge drink menu, great staff and great food! Went there yesterday for lunch with a friend for my birthday and happily received $20 off of one food item (I got the ribs). I remember going to Kelly o Bryan's in guildford when I was younger for a birthday meal but didn't think they still did that. Oh, and if you go on your birthday but after 4pm you get $30 off of one food item. Bring ID. Enjoy!
Great service, great food, our server was Alysha. Always amazing when we are here
Good place to hit when you want to grab some simple meal and chill. Has nice service as well.
We went the night before new year's eve, though it going to be empty, but was full of people, although is was quite and we could really hear each other. The waiters was lovely ,one of the nicest I met for a while. We order the pancho and the nachos with the artichoke dip. everything was good.
Fun atmosphere. Loved the window seating upstairs. Ribs and garlic prawn taco salad were delicious. Service was perfect too.
Tonight I went there for the first time as a tourists. After waiting too long for our order, when we wanted to pay our bill the transaction didnt go through and the server changed his behaviour and he was so rudeee to us and looks racism he was tall guy with moustache, after paying our bill , the server throw our tips to the table and left us withouth saying anything. Not only least customer service but also no enough paper tissue and plate on the tables. The worst restaurant i ever seen
Blair was our server. He was exceptional!! The food was terrific! Social distancing was in place and the restaurant was clean. Would highly recommend the place and will be coming back again soon!!!
The food was alright but over priced for what it was. Besides a couple of dishes they serve there isn't much Irish to this pub.
French onion soup was amazing. Our server Lisa was awesome!!
My sister ordered sour apple martinis and received cosmopolitins.seemed they favored the regular customers who were drinking like fish.there food is pub food but over priced, waiter kept walking by us had to flag her down to get another drink.like i said if your not a regular dont bother going you also might be waiting for a table for over an hour.
After our take out we had ordered a few weeks ago from here was incomplete upon our arrival home, we gave it another shot. They did give us a gift card after all... Went for a few drinks and dinner. Drinks are fine... Decent deals. Food was slow and they brought my salad with regular chicken instead of the Cajun chicken as had been requested. The solution? Seasoning I put on myself on my now cold chicken. This is after a different server came out with our salads not knowing which table they were for. This also happened to another table. It seems to me they have some fundamental problems either with management, procedures or finding a capable staff. Will not be going here again. Unfortunate because it's a cool venue and is close to home.
Delicious pub food. I especially like the fries and burgers. Reasonable price. Glad that they has opened up this heritage building for public again
We attend this location quite a bit. We have always been approached in a timely manner, with great service. The food is always good no matter what time or day of the week you go
Staff are friendly but service is very slow. Food is terrible.
Very disappointing that that beautiful old building is not being used for a swankier funky restaurant.????????2 thumbs down.
My office department decided to come here for our after meeting outing. BIG mistake. I was the first one to get there and I had to wait at least 5 minutes at the hostess stand to be greeted. Long time for a place that was not busy. Finally someone came in and ask me to put my mask on in a strong rude matter. I did. Even if no one had a mask. I gave her my I'd and vaccination card and went to my table. Once at my table I looked at the menu and waited.....and waited.....and waited to order a drink while waiting for my coworkers. But no one came to my table. By that time I did remove my mask ...since no one were wearing one. (Customers) . Then I ask for the rest room and that rude person again came and yelled to me hey! Don't forget to put your mask on . PUT YOUR MASK ON. . So when I heard that I left and group text all 16 coworkers of mine to meet me at hubs restaurant. And we had a blast. Now Hub will be our go to place on a weekly basis after out meeting.
Kelly & Carlos O'Bryan. Let me sing their praises. NY Eve. The last superstitious eve 'We, the agnostic" invest in. Our fave go- to spot confirmed themselves open regular hours with oodles of room (no reservations). Fast forward an hour and ... "We have decided to close early. Just took the vote. Sor-ry. Goodbye." Shrug. "Well. There is Kelly O's." Google. "Open til 2:00." Awesome. Didn't even cancel the '2 for 1 Appies'. Had, to memory, 'ALL the things'. See you next year, Kell'n'Carl, and every foreseeable year. Thankyou to the pub/restaurant that saved New Year's Eve.
Went for the happy hour. They had Canadian and Heineken on for 4.50 which was ok. Their appies were $8 each, normally around $13 average. Appies were mediocre at best. We had three items including their patchos which they are apparently famous for. All items had very small Portions. Not worth the full price cost in both serving size and taste in my opinion. The stuffed mushrooms came with two TINY pieces of pita and when we asked for more we got two more equally tiny pieces for an additional 1.95 ( please note that the addition cost was not disclosed until we got our bill) The food was nothing to get excited about. Our server told us (after we started eating and said that we weren’t thrilled with the food) that they are better known for their steaks. I was disappointed in the food and overall costs. There are great restaurants in new west serving burgers for under $14.00. Burgers here start at $16 and from what we saw were pretty basic. The overall seating area ( we were downstairs) was pretty basic, the bar area was quite nice but the booths were nothing to write home about. The service was ok but we had to flag down our server to get more drinks rather then have them come to us asking if we wanted another one. Overall I am glad I tried it but it won’t be on the regular rotation of new west places to eat/drink at.
Awful customer service. Food gross ordered the spinach dip, it was terrible it looked like a block of cement and so thick could not eat it. Food is over priced, drinks are not great, not much of beer choice for an irish pub. Customer service sucks big time. I will never go back and do not advise to go there it will be only a big disappointment. I dont think this place will last too expensive for the area.
The staff here are great, the service stood out most about this place. Not just a pub feeling, great for family. Very good selection of foods. Everything tasted good, came out quick, hot, and no mistakes.
Eliza was the best bartender. Very attentive to my special needs, even gave me crayons.
Poor quality of food for the high price tag. 50/50 chance your beer is flat. Otherwise ok place to grab a pint.
We love Callie! Thanks :)
Fun spot, great Happy Hour deals. Good service.
Pachos, jambalaya and beef stroganoff were good. Friendly server. However the prime rib was supposed to be medium but was served well-done and dry.
Mediocre food at decent prices. Our wings came out with no sauce on them and had to be sent back, potato skins were good but burnt on the bottom. We asked for a side of hot sauce 3 times and never got it. The dry ribs were really good though and the and the happy hour/drink specials made it worth a try, although not sure if we would return.
In May 24, something very strange happened at Kelly O'Bryan, New West. It was my husband's birthday, and we were among 4 people. When we got there, they said the waiting line was 15 minutes. 40 min passed, and a couple at a table offered to change tables and go to a table of 2 people so that we could sit at they table, which was 4 people. But the waitress just ignored them and passed a couple who were after us. We waited another 20 minutes and then went to another pub. We stayed 1 hour in total and were unable to sit. We know that because of COVID, everything is taking time. But the waitress's attitude was absurd. Why didn't she agree to change the couple who kindly offered to change tables to give us a table of 4? Was she friends with the other couple? Honestly, we don't understand, and we will never go back.
The portion size was incredible the staff was knowledgeable and fun atmosphere was relaxed. A great bang for your buck
Lunch time No hassle seating Friendly host Great waitress Attentive service
First time visiting. Had the Shepard's pie and it was delicious. Coffee was very good also. Staff was great. Good value for the money.
Great service and cozy atmosphere, yummy cocktails
My first visit to this new Irish pub in New Westminster. I was pleased to give it a try as I'm partial to Irish beer & Irish pubs. There were 4 adults & 1 toddler seated in the family section. Staff were friendly & helpful. The food prices were high compared to similar establishments in the region & for the quality & quantity served. The service time for the food was fine for the adulds; however, it was a bit slow for the toddler. I'm sure I'll go again as a second chance but I doubt I'll become a regular.
I have been there several times. I like the place, particularly the patio! Like the music they play. The food is good and well portioned. Easy to get to and have some parking as well as street parking. The staff is nice and friendly. The reason I do not give 5 stars is because last time I was there, just a few days ago, sat in the patio area. I noticed a customer barefooted and her partner rubbing her feet. At one time, it looked as if the person was even checking between this woman's toes! Although I know it is not the restaurant's fault that some people show very poor etiquette in public places, it is unpleasant to see that. Just because one is seated in a sunny patio, it is the restaurant's patio, no your own! I don't know if the staff saw that. Maybe not. Maybe they saw it and are ok with that. Honestly, I would have liked for the customers to be kindly and respectfully asked to show a bit more courtesy towards other customers. I understand this can be an uncomfortable situation. Perhaps a sign, like we see in some places, saying "No shirt, no shoes, no service", may do the trick. I like to go out to enjoy a good time, good food and a drink or two, in a friendly local pub. Not to see people's feet, across from where I am eating.
Good specials!! Excellent service...very clean...staff were very accomodating
Great place for a get together. Friends, work crew, either or both. Standard pub fare at reasonable prices and great drink specials served by friendly staff. Everyone had a great time. Skytrain station across the street is a nice touch too.
Great food. Fab service. Booked for party of 10...suggest book for more than u have...it was very cramped upstairs....and we were right in the way of the pool table ...dodging the cue sticks. They forgot our birthday discount but made it up with a gift card the next day. Would go back again...all servers were amazing!
My food was not cooked when I got it. They were not organized for out door seating. People and staff without masks walking inside where the washroom was. Disappointing.
(Been here 1 time, sat inside @ the bar) I am obliged to give an honest explanation of my personal experiance at any given place. The visit to this particular establishement has been the first time I've had difficulty leaving my review. Part of me wanted to give it a 5☆ but that was not possible... for ME. I believe the majority of ppl who give O'Bryan's a chance will have a 5☆ experiance. I however must admit that I went alone; altering the expected/imposed perception of the Kelly O'Bryan's experience. I often do things solo that the majority of ppl would never do alone, so I must concede that my experience is heavily weighted in an odd way that many folks will not see. If you read all that then I suggest you stop thinking and start doing. Go, enjoy.
Had quite the rude server yesterday. She had black hair and was wearing blue eyeliner. When we received our menu she came by really quickly asking if we are ready to order yet, we were not so we asked for waters. She said in a very snarky tone "are we only having water, no one at this table is having anything else? just water?", to which we replied 'for now'. To us, this already insinuated that the waitress felt as though our table would not give good money. When the food was brought out, it was quite low quality compared to the last time I came which was actually just two days prior. The pachos had almost no cheese on them and my margarita flatbread cheese was cold. After the food was brought out by different servers, no one came back to check on our table, but we noticed every other table was getting more attention. We assumed our server was on a break because she did not appear after taking our orders. We asked for the bill and the waitress said she would go to one other table first because they asked for the bill first. Then, she was stopped by a different table and decided to let them pay ahead of us as well. When it came time for us to pay, I did not tip because I was quite dissatisfied. The server overcharged my friend when she noticed we were not tipping. Then, she asked us if there was a problem with the service, in a very confrontational manner. I told her the issues we had with the food but assumed she should know she did not come to our table once, so this was not necessary to say as it would be rude. She said that the menu has changed and the ingredients are different. I told her that I was here two days ago, to which she replied "We changed the menu yesterday". Kind of hard to believe. For the last member of our party, she proceeded to add $10 extra to his bill. This was unbelievable. It was as though we did not even have a server throughout our dinner, so we did not feel compelled to tip as she was practically non-existent and very confrontational/ had a bad tone with us. It was mostly hard to believe that she tried overcharging us. I may try the place again as the server I had the first time I came was great and even tried to learn everyone's name at the table (20 people). However, after the experience with this server, I'm not so sure.
Drinks are a bit pricey but their patio is really nice, staff seems super friendly. I often end up here on a Friday afternoon for somewhere causal to have a few drinks and some appetizers!
The food was excellent however service was soooooo poor. The bar server has one of the worst attitudes I've came across !!!
We went last night. We were very disappointed. It wasn’t very busy but our server was never available - we waited for more napkins which we never did get despite eating finger foods - burgers and ribs. We had to ask for more than the one napkin. The Ribs were over cooked, dry and chewy. The burger patty tasted like it had been frozen for a long time. The shepherds pie was okay but small. The prime rib was good. I suggest for the final price we didn’t have a great experience. Give this one a pass.
I went there with some friends one day, everything went fine. Couples weeks after, we decided to go again and had and awful experience. The waitress started by asking us to wait outside, on the cold, for 15 minutes, before taking us in due to lack of staff. Very rude and unprofessional.
Went here a couple weeks back with a couple friends for my birthday. Great food good beer and amazing service.
Big place, food is good, and a big menu too, with some interesting options you don't get with regular pub food.
Ok food but the service is lacking and the price is a bit expensive for what you get for pub food.
Warning: this place is not baby or family friendly! We went for lunch on a weekday with our 9 month old. The server was pleasant and the food was standard pub fare, but after we paid for our meal, and tipped, we were asked by the manager or owner to leave immediately. Apparently our 9 month old was bothering the two other customers they had in the entire otherwise vacant restaurant. Will not go back again!
Drinks are decent, so if you know you just want to enjoy a drink or two it's ok. If you are hungry though, go find a place to eat. Also the patio space is nice and the staff are fabulous.
Favorite pub in the city. The food is always exceptional, along with the staff and facility. There is a reason I am there every week or two.
Full when we got here. There was space at the bar, but they didn't offer us to sit there in the meantime. There isn't really a place to wait inside either, other than 2 chairs that were full, and they didn't take our phone number. Ended up leaving and going to other pub on Columbia St. Didn't seem to special enough to justify a wait after peering at their menu either. Also disappointed that they didn't have more Steel & Oak varieties when the liquor menu is that big. They only had the red pils and the royal city... It's sort of a shame that they landed this spot, I would expect something a bit more upclass.
The food was GREAT!! The service from upstairs was really not so great. We tried to order dinner but were told that we couldn't because our ticket was technically "downstairs" because got there before 6:00. But, once I went downstairs to inquire about ordering food, the gentleman behind the bar and our server were so kind, and went out of their way to take our order and get it to us promptly. Maybe the guy upstairs was just very busy. Regardless, we will be back the next time we visit my mother-in-law. It was very fun, my husband and stepson had a great time playing pool with others.
Awesome service, great food! Thanks to our server Blair! Amazing server! ????
Food could prob cost a bit less. But it's alright, good happy hour.
Nice cozy place good food
This rating is based entirely on the service unfortunately. Food is always good love the atmosphere. Waited close to 10 minutes to even be greeted by our server and asked about drinks and food. Brought our drinks and food and then server checked back once about 5 mins into meals and then didnt see again until ready for the bill. Restaurant was not overly busy so not sure why service was so lacking.
We come here for birthdays (free birthday meal????) and it's been great every time! Food is delicious and staff are wonderful????
Came in for a quick bite today with a girlfriend. Our server Kailee(?) was amazing and made our experience a lot of fun. We will return!
Awesome food !!! Their mushroom poppers really are to die for. Amazing drink selection. Overall great vibe in the restaurant and wonderful service.
Nice atmosphere, cheap drinks and nice servers. It's standard pub fare, so nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either. Docking points because the servers don't wear masks or face shields and stand very close to you, even when just talking and not handing you food.
Food was good and waitress was awesome. Great atmosphere and would definitely recommend it
Nice place with a Scottish feel. The food and service was top notch, especially for a pub. This lovely establishment is just a little over budget for me. Gone twice and planning to go back and try something else!
Our server was amazing. The food was saucy. Our drinks were on point. Overall experience was phenomenal. Kristina was excellent, she gave great drink recommendations. Will be back again.
I liked it very much....seemed pricey..the fish tacos need more bits of veggies etc inside the tacos....more pizazz....They are new and could be a good place...Upstairs in the pub was very warm....heat rises...I will be back...I need to try the Irish side of it all....
Abbeey was amazing! We will be back because of her! Best patio in the lower mainland!????
One of my very favorite restaurants. In my opinion maybe a dollar or two more than you'd pay at your average pub. But if that doesn't bother you and you want to pay a little extra for a good meal this is the place. Portions are large, food quality is always great. My only regret is that they are just outside of my delivery range for skip the dishes.
Cool vibe, and the servers are really nice and seem like enjoying what they are doing. Quite impressive. Even though the food was just okay, I would be there again.
First of all, I would like to say thank you to all their staff with the excellent customer service and a high quality of food and liquor. Cheers guys
Great except NO BANGERS MASH! From the man in the Frazier kilt, service was very good
Good location Good food Awesome service.
Great new years eve dinner. Covid safe. Food was great and service was exceptional. Strongbow on tap and great cheese cake to round the evening off. Highly recommended
Had a great night our server Victoria was amazing very friendly and always making sure we had what we needed! The food was absolutley fantastic!
Nice food. Friendly staff.
The food was quite good, couple things I would have tweaked. The ponchos were not quite as crispy as my tastes would have preferred. Chicken fingers were good but was a little disappointed with the stuffed potatoe. However their honey mustard is life!
Great patio, service was excellent, with all this situation of Covid-19 it will be a good idea for servers to wear masks
Vanessa was my waitress, great service!!
Professional staff good pub food. Little bit pricey.
Nice staff, quick service. Food is meh. A little too expensive, and very bland. Wouldn't go back but I can't say anything went wrong with my lunch overall.
Shared the pachos with my gf was amazing. Drinks were great and our mains were amazing had the shepard's pie and philly cheese steak
Really awesome place!! Good tasty and kids friendly staffs and great atmosphere. Mt family and me was satisfied with everything. I think, you must try Big Honkin' Rips(honey garlic). That's wonderful!!!
I went to Kelly O'Bryan's restaurant about three weeks ago and when I asked the bearded server where the washroom was he rudely responded by saying it is all the way at the back and that I should go tomorrow. And when I came back from the washroom my jacket was missing which the bartender was gracious to give it back to me. I have never experienced something like that before where someone takes your jacket with malicious intentions. I believe they did it because they are prejudice towards my nationality with the blonde and other waitresses giving me the evil eye. I will say the only good experience was that the bartender treated me with dignity who was in charge that night. Obviously I will never enter this establishment again.
Great atmosphere friendly service awesome food and drinks!!!! Glad the ole train station has been repurposed again after being the KEG Restaurant for mnay many years!????
Amazing Irish pub downtown New Westminster. I am a regular here. Good selection of beer, lots of drinks (really big drink menu). You can find hamburgers, sandwiches, soups, meats, ribs, and amazing appetizers. My favorite here are the Pachos (fries with honey mustard sauce). Some options may be pricey. However, after 9pm it is appie hour, two for appetizers.
Staff was very friendly! Not much of a wait time for food and drinks. Bartender gave us a free birthday shot.
Great meal, service and atmosphere. Amazing prime rib with prawns. Paige, our server was awesome. Thanks for a lovely evening. Highly recommend Kelly O'Bryans. The prawns are absolutely to die for!!
Vanessa was amazing cheese was spend evenly thank you so much !
Amazing food, slow service even when it's not busy but friendly staff. When it's busy it's very loud and you have to shout to talk to people accross the table.
I will never set foot there again. This is a restaurant that fails on every measure. My friends and I were met by rude, disorganized staff who originally told us that the wait time would be around 20-25 mins. After about a half hour, we decided that we wanted to attend a restaurant across the street before happy hour ended there. The hostess at O'Bryan's told us that it was fine, and that she would try her best to get us in as quickly as she could when we came back. Upon returning, I called in and spoke with someone to advise that we were back. I asked how long it would be for a seat and was told it'd be a few minutes. Eventually, someone came outside to tell us that she'd have to move our name to the bottom of the list and that the new wait time would be another 20-25 minutes. After some back and forth, we ended up being seated within 15 minutes. But the food was not worth the wait. I ordered the pachos, which were lukewarm when served and covered by a scanty amount of unseasoned beef and vegetables. In addition, the portion size was measly relative to the price. My friend ordered a beef burger. It was comprised of two thin, overcooked patties and other cheap, tasteless ingredients. Do yourself and your wallet a favour by avoiding this place at all costs.
Kelly o'bryan was a great experience. The safety that they have for the customer is really good. I had the McCracken rolls off the happy hour menu and they were delicious. I also order the pachos with extra cheese. They are super good especially with the dip they make in house. If you can check them out.
The only place we spend our birthdays! A birthday dinner deal that beats nearly anywhere else (a substantial amount off of one item, essentially buying the birthday person's meal), a huge drink menu (and I do mean huge- something like a dozen pages worth of cocktails), and great food (which isn't always a given at pubs). Plus it's near New West station, making it an ideal spot. Love this place.
We thoroughly enjoyed the prompt service, really good quality food and servers wore masks
Me and my girlfriend have been coming here for the past couple of months, and it's always good food and great service from the staff here on each sunday we go.
The venue is charming but the service is the worst in New West! The food was also cold and bland!Drinks were expensive and the bartender did not wash her hands the entire time we sat there!
Great service and fantastic food!
My favorite pub in New west...foods fantastic I love the wings and there prime rib always hits the spot... beers r ice cold and the service is always warm and friendly
Nice place. Friendly staff. Great location. Only problem was server got starter and main dinner wrong but we just politely excepted it.
The appetizers have small servings. Expected it to be more because of the price. The chicken wings costs $16 for just 7pcs.
Friendly, delicious food and drinks
This place is pricey ($18 for a chicken quesadilla!) but the service was decent and so were the ribs. And thank you for not asking me to leave just because I was wearing a MAGA t-shirt!
Food/service/drinks were great! Our server Darren was awesome ????
Jared Jackson was so fun and amazing! He truly was a blast to talk too. He was quick, fun, and a happy bundle of joy. HIGHLY recommend coming here . Everyone is so fun and nice. Literally everyone. ????????❤️❤️
Food was good, but quite pricey. They have also chosen the wrong domestic beer to have on tap. I hate Molson Canadian!!! Budweiser people!!
Had Pachos for the first time. Enjoyed them more then nachos which we originally came for. Outdoor patio was huge with lots of space.
What a great experience! Huge portions and friendly staff. Would recommend this place for a chill night.
Always amazing food and service
Kelly O'Brien's, like Carlos O'Briens in Nanaimo where I live, has the same excellent menu with options for both small and large appetites. I visited on a sunny afternoon and enjoyed alfresco dining. The restaurant has put all health protocols in place for virus protection in accordance with BC's health directive. Service was excellent and my daughter and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the fresh air.
Service is always great, food is mediocre and a bit overpriced, beer is cold. Location is good.
Went there for lunch with my family, horrific service with an attitude. If I didn't work in the service industry myself I would deduct from my bill Instead of giving a tip. No hate just stating facts.
My partner and I frequently dine here. The food is good and reasonable, unlike other pubs there is some nutritional info. Their drink menu is big but could have more craft beers, still I like the selection. Best of all the owners are really nice and have saved a heritage building and the side walk around it by investing so much money. When you eat of Kelly O'Bryan's New West you're supporting a business and the community.
Service was ok. Food was decent but portions for the price are ridiculous. We ordered pachos the biggest sized order for $30!!! Expected it to be a nacho sized platter. It was a dinner plates size with 2 layers.....enough for 2 people to share as a light appetizer. We won't be back.
Really good food They are New and working out the bumbs so give em a go. I'll be back
Amanda was awesome tonight! despite the stressful day i had her and all the girls were amazing! thank you. you want a quick pint then stop here.
Great service, personable, friendly. Made our experience!
Good food, great service! Was a bit loud! Would go again
Mediocre pub food, a good selection of beer, and great atmosphere inside a historic building.
Good food, good atmosphere. The Pachos and Prime rib were great as always.
I've discovered this place in June 2020 and NEVER looked elsewhere !!! ABSOLUTE GREAT FOOD and Beer selections. The food is Much better that other places and if you eat a big meal in one sitting you won't feel that overly gross heaviness in your stomach, it sits quite well even if you put down a pint. Jarrett is the bar manager that told me about this place and I am Very Glad I listened to him. Ps Jarrett is also a Great Bartender as well, looks after customers very well. If you have not been, Go and see/taste for yourself, you might just end up becoming a new regular like me
My family and I visit this location 2-3 times per month. The food quality and staff are amazing.
Absolutely phenomenal hidden gem in New West. Came in for a bite after a movie and I felt totally welcome from the get go. The servers were friendly and quick. The patio was awesome. The music was great. The food was really good. Ordered a beef dip and the server was so kind to mix up my sides, Salad and fries. I think I found my favorite new spot in New West this summer. Will be recommending to family and friends. Way to go Kelly O'Brians!
Fairly pricy but the food is good. Pachos and lips are my favourite
Awesome place! Best Happy Hour wine in Lower Mainland. Plus Yorkies & Ribs are fabulous. Am a frequent visitor to the NW location and ALL the staff treat patrons like they are family. Have also had a consistently great meal and definitely would pass the along to all my friends.
Olivia the bartender was very personable. We sat at the bar as it was very busy. We were only going to stay for one drink but she was very engaging and friendly while still pouring drinks like a machine. The pub itself is quite nice and very clean. All the staff seemed friendly and would smile if you made eye contact. One of the better pubs IMHO.
Great foods and services. Will definitely return for personal occasions with family or friends.
My experience at the New Westminister Kelly O'Bryan was memorable. My wife and I went for lunch and everything was on point! The Calamari was the best I've had, the Prime Rib Yorkie couldn't have been better, the wings were nice and big and the service by our waiter Blair was prompt and he was very kind and gracious. We will be regulars now!
Such a great atmosphere, the prices are great, and all of the staff are super helpful, nice, quick, and friendly. We visited many times while on vacation to VAN, even celebrating my birthday here. The free entrée because of this was an incredible perk. Drinks were amazing! I would absolutely return and recommend 100%!
Very good food, clean friendly environment
It's a pub and has pub food. It's not cozy and comfy. Ok service. But I guess if it's a pub ur looking for then this is the place. Parking in the back. They have an upstairs as well. Lotsa drinks to choose from. I guess I'm not a pub person but if u are u might love it ????
Did not serve us. We were racially profiled. Did not appreciate this place.
service was great. friendly nice staff. food was good.
Fresh, lightly battered and perfectly garnished. Best calamari I’ve had! A must try.
Pros Great place to have drinks, they have a huge menu and prices are good. Huge food portions …
Staff was nice but steak was over priced for what you got and had to pay extra for mushrooms. They were out of 2 kinds of cheese and kids were running all over the place.
I have been here quite a few times, for get-togethers, dinner, appy hour, and for my birthday. I just finished celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday there yesterday and it was amazing as always. The staff are always very friendly and engaging and the food never disappoints! From burgers to prime rib and delicious appies and other Irish themed entrees, this place has it all! Also, a 10 page booklet of drinks is always a lovely sight! See you guys next time!
The food is consistently good. Time and time again without fail! The Chicken Lips and the Dublin Stack are definitely go to. Nice to go to an Irish bar that always has Guinness and Kilkenny on tap!
This place did not feel safe because many of the servers were not wearing masks. My group and I ordered the Maui pizza and not only was it not good (tasted like a store bought pizza), but it was served cold and it was small. The calamari was too salty. Overall did not enjoy their food.
Good staff... Foods good for pub food ????
Friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere. reasonable prices for quality food. will definitely go back to this place.
Love the place. Servers were great. Thought food was fantastic. So glad they are there not impressed with other food outlets in area.
Great menu, fantastic service , very clean establishment. We don't even drink. We coming back with friends .
50th birthday supper for my husband. We had Brennan as our server, he was very attentive took great care of our table. Combined with his karisma and sense of humour made our evening enjoyable and one to remember.
Great patio and food. Just wish there was a little less things deep fried options on the menu and more healthier options
Tiana was fantastic.. amazing service..very pleasant..felt like we had know each other for years. Music was great.. food was great. Been back since and will definitely be back for more.
Very good service and food! Charlotte was attentive and professional and the restaurant itself was clean & tidy. Overall wonderful experience! 5/5
Worse service ever. The food was barely edible and it took 15 mins just to get a glass of water, we had to ask multple severs as well. DO NOT EAT HERE
Lindsay gave great and prompt service
