Our server was very friendly, and gave my wife and I excellent service. Beer was cold. Food was hot. The only bad thing was that the Raptors lost while we were here. I've been to 3 other Brown's in the Vancouver region. This one wins for sure.

The restaurant was not busy and the service was extremely slow. We asked two separate servers and still did not get what we needed. When the food finally came, one order was burned and two others barely even warm. The food was good (and could have been excellent if it was warm) but for every other reason we will not return, nor would we recommend this restaurant to anyone.

For a chain restaurant, this place is great! The happy hour before 6 is a good deal, and I actually LOVE the menu. It's like fusion food, for example, try the fried chicken ramen. Yum!

Brilliant food, the first time I have ever enjoyed blackened chicken Alfredo. Usually it's dry and gross, but was juicy and packed with flavour here. Nice atmosphere and well laid out for quarantine. Also here's an image of the current menu because google maps is making it hard to view.

We went for brunch and arrived before 11 so it wasn't too busy yet and Sunday morning meter parking is free before noon. Portions were decent and satisfying and I was grateful they were willing to swap the side greens for breakfast potatoes and the prosciutto for avocado at no extra charge.

The experience she creates is what brings me back so frequently as well as her attentiveness and genuine care about every order you place. It got worse once I tasted the soup - over salty, especially when we’d asked for a pizza(excellent pizza) to be unsalted, we might have assumed too much in thinking that it was understood we have health issues.”

Reasonable price, simple menu. The only thing holding it back is there isn't much selection if you want a full entree, style meal (I.e. a steak or some sort of roast, etc.), Instead of a burger or sandwich or some stir-fry bowl.

I visited this location twice this week and both times the food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and the Thai soup both times because it was so awesome. I would give 6 stars but the limit is 5. On Wednesday March 6, Natalie served my good friend and I a plate of nachos and a quesadilla. The nachos were very crispy and there was a generous amount of cheese applied. It was topped with chicken and a large serving of guac. The quesadilla was the perfect amount of crispiness on the outside but the inside was soft and very easy to eat. I enjoyed dipping it in the guac and pico de gallo. Natalie kept refilling my water which was very kind of her but I could not keep up with all the water she was giving me. My bladder was filled to the brim and which made the sodium in my blood drop to dangerously low levels :( my hyponatremia was catching up to me. Overall Natalie was a fantastic server! Would definitely recommend!

We went there from work, it was one of my best restaurant and socializing experience with my buddies from work. I really enjoyed their fish and chips and the service was quite pleasant.

They had a covered patio and we were able to get a seat right away for lunch. Everything was delicious. The nachos was great, I had the potato crusted cod with cowboy salad. The salad was fresh and hint of sweetness. The beef dip was amazing as well. Will come back because it wasn’t busy at all.

We were there for Father’s Day brunch. Ordered Avocado Toast specifying ’soft poached eggs’ and were disappointed to find hard boiled! So the server offered to get soft poached eggs which came as medium! By this time the sour dough toast had gone cold and rubbery. I guess the chef needs a lesson on poaching eggs. It is disappointing on a special day waiting for part of your meal cold.

Super disappointed with this restaurant. After being told by my server that there were no nuts in my salad (and the promise of tagging my dish as an allergy), I ate into my meal which was covered in cashews… The server was nowhere to be found and it took a couple of minutes to flag her down. She was in disbelief that there were nuts to begin with and had to motion her to the salad various times. She never returned and someone else brought our bill. We were made to feel like we should have been grateful the salad was taken off the bill. I would have preferred to not be in anaphylactic shock.

I recently had my birthday dinner at this specific location. My group of 20 friends including myself were served quickly and efficiently. We were served by one of the managers, I believe her name was Rochelle, because apparently three people had all called in sick that day. She was great, kept everyone's orders on the proper bills and didn't miss a beat, even bought me a birthday drink. All while being served om their lovely outdoor patio. The food is great, service is great and the orange Cosmo is delicious. Consider this place for your next outing, I will definitely be going to this location more often!

Food was great, which is standard for a Brown's. We were a party of six and initially told it'd be an hour wait, ended up being only 20 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. However, our service was alright at best. We sat down at 7:30, our food order wasn't taken until 8:30 and that's only cause we called over our server as she was passing by. This remained a constant throughout the night. It also took 20 minutes from the point of asking for our bills to the point of paying for our bills. I would hope this was a one off situation.

I live in the neighbourhood and I went there for dinner by myself, and the server made me feel unwelcomed there. I requested for a patio seat and she was like, “Oh, just you... but patio seat?” I received barely no service, she didn’t introduce herself or guide me how to use the online menu or anything. I showed up to meet 2 friends here expecting to have a nice late dinner and drinks at a sophisticated restaurant. But instead, I experienced the most horrendous service I have ever encountered at this establishment. When I arrived there was no hostess to be found so I searched the restaurant myself trying to find the guests that were already seated. My friends had already been served drinks. They flagged down the waitress so I could order my drink too. She asked for 2 pieces of ID. Being 35, I never get asked for 1 piece of ID, let alone 2. I only had 1 piece of ID (my drivers licence) so she refused to serve me. This was weird because she had not asked either of the my friends for theirs. She then went on to say she could not serve them anymore alcohol unless they showed her 2 pieces as well. Lucky for them, they both had 2 pieces. I ordered a coke since she would not serve me alcohol. It came back a very light watery color and had no taste. When I told her she said they had to change the machine so I ended up getting an iced water instead. We ordered a couple more drinks, yam fries, blackened chicken fettuccine and salad which all took forever to come. We all kept wondering what was taking so long when the restaurant was not busy at all. We all ordered hot wings. We were not served moist towelettes or napkins to wipe our hands. When we were done eating, we requested some wet wipes, which she said they didn’t have. What kind of restaurant serves saucy hot wings without wipes? She said she could bring a bowl of water instead to cleanse our fingers with. We sat there for 10 mins with saucy fingers waiting for her to bring the bowls of water. She failed to bring them. We all ended up going to the restrooms to wash our hands instead. She finally brought the water bowls half an hour later when we were ready to leave. We requested the bill and the machine, but she only brought us the bill. We asked for the machine again and it never came. We were so fed up of waiting that we finally just went to the front to pay, and what do we see? Our server wasn’t serving us because she was too busy on Facebook on her phone. Seriously? This is the only time I’ve ever not left a tip. None of us are ever coming back here.

The waitress' attitude looks like 'whatever' and throughout the time I got no refill of water. The steak sandwich which cost almost $30 came with small portion and very dried and over-cooked texture, even asked to change to another medium rare it still tasted too salty. We were really excited to go to Brown's for dinner for my husbands birthday since we used to go to the Browns in Port Moody all the time (pre-kid). We got their around 5pm for an early dinner since we do have a 16 month old. We choose to go early so we wouldn't be there for the dinner rush and timed it around our sons dinner so he could also dine. Our sons has never had a meltdown in a restaurant yet (fingers crossed). When we got there we were told they do not have high chairs and I asked if they had a booster seat which they did but it doesn't have straps on it so we had to leave. I get that they don't cater to kids but they could at least have one available especially considering they are located in an area where there are a lot families. Really disappointed.

Food was fantastic and service was good however... Unless you go on a Sunday, late evening, or via transit, the parking options are limited to $6-$8/hr. The restaurant does not compensate anything towards parking. If you can hammer your food and be in and out in an hour, you can take your chances parking under Save On Foods... Just don't get caught walking off and be sure to register your car. New West does some things that make me shake my head but these exorbitant rates, in an up-and-coming area, are high on the list of stupidity. Good luck to the businesses in the area!

Was there after lunch hours during a weekday. Drink service was quite slow but food was good and hot. The waitress was getting off shift so we paid her out then the servers ignored us untill I had to go to the kitchen where they were mingling and ask for more service. We had been there for a few hours at that point so I’m guessing they just assumed we were finishing our conversation before heading off so I can understand that.

I have eaten there numerous times and with clients and the service was good. I can say that who ever is working the bar every visit has been awesome. I can say it was very disappointing that as a group of 4 we had lunch, left and came back 2 hours later and not only did our own server not recognize us, but it took 22 min. to get a taxi. I finally gave up, downloaded the taxi app, registered and booked a cab before the hostess got back to us. No eye contact, no acknowledgement, not even a sense of...can I get you anything while you wait?.... Let's hope that was a 1 off situation.

Today, I visited Browns Social House in the Brewery District. The experience was a pleasurable one. I ordered takeout -- one Chili Lime Fish Sandwich with fries, and a #28 Dragon Bowl. Upon arrival, my items were ready to go. The manager was at hand to process my order, and asked about my plans for the evening. I told him that I had approximately 2.75 hours remaining until my two- and four-year-old sons were dropped back off at home from being with Grandma and Grandpa, so don't waste my time with idle chit-chat -- get to the real meat-and-potatoes of important conversations, like cultural appropriation, dark matter possibly being responsible for the cosmological Big Crunch, or the pressures of social media on today's youth. He instead smiled politely and dropped the subject. I used a gift card that some work colleagues got for me as a gift on the birth of my third son. Obviously they figured I'd now have a ton of time to visit loud, bar-type scenarios, and that the servers' attire would help restore my post-partum wife's confidence regarding body-image. That said, the food was hot when I got home, very tasty, and I imagine that we will continue to go there for take-out until the gift card runs out. 4 out of 5 stars.

If your stopping in for drinks they have a fun menu at a good price here and there for drinks. But the service has gone down hill with the newer hires, not rude but just repeat a script then get distracted by something else And as always the food is awful here for the price point. It's not bad food but not even good I would say and for the price point it's just silly.

I was in New Westminster last Saturday (27th) and I happened to walk into the Browns at the Brewery District for lunch. Once seated, I was immediately greeted by vibrant young lady named Brooklynn who I found to be extremely personable, thoughtful, and helpful during the entire time that I was waited on. Not only was the food terrific but Brooklynn went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that all my needs were being met. Servers work in a fast-paced, and often thankless, industry which can, at times, lead to a decrease in customer service, but not Brooklynn. She was a bright spot for me that day and I just want to give credit where credit it due. I will be definitely be back again! Jake

The food at this restaurant has never disappointed, I mean NEVER! The ambiance is good, aside from a bit of noise from excitable conversations if the restaurant is busy. Finding a parking spot can be a bit tricky, but pay parking underground is only a block away, and if you want to enjoy more than a small glass of wine, the sky train is a block away as well.

Very nice restaurant! Beautiful view of the local buildings and sidewalks of Sapperton. Modern and well kept. Family friendly though they tend to play loud music towards the evening. I have lived two blocks from this restaurant for more than two years with my group of neighbors/friends. We visit this place once a week or every other week for more than a year, the service has always been very good, the communication with the manager is always good, they always try to give us a table for everyone, we are 12 neighbors and sometimes it is complicated and they don't sit together in the restaurants, and I love that they always help us with that issue, The costs are normal and the happy hour is very very good, the last adaptation they made to the happy hour menu I love it. On some occasions I wish it would close later but other than that it is always a good place to go to share with friends.

We sat outside on the patio, even being a streetside patio it was easy to have conversation. They have overhead heaters as well as gas fire pits. The staff is very friendly but spend too much time socializing with each other. Food was good but a bit slow.

A really great pub space to eat at ... The service was warm and attentive, and the meals were very tasty and done to our liking. Burgers were moist and tasty, and the "Steak and sushi" was "Awesome!" The steak was perfectly rare and the spicy tuna roll was fresh and "just spicy enough." The birthday cake (that wasn't exactly to celebrate a birthday) ... Well ... Was the icing on the cake!! We were seated at our table but was not greeted by our server for 15-20 minutes. I actually had to flag someone down to find our server. I ordered the ramen and asked to sub my Katsu style chicken for tofu. I was surprised to see 4 small pieces of tofu in my bowl. This was not even close to being an appetizer serving. But the kicker was the molten egg - I GOT HALF AN EGG! I was dumbfounded by this that I had to ask my server what happened to the other half. She started to tell me that the egg was prepared that way (did she mean that the egg was prepared in halves???). I must have given her a look because she went on to explain that other half gets put onto another ramen bowl...???? I really wish I had taken a picture of this dish because the portion size I paid for the dish is not even close to a ramen dish (with a whole egg) I would get in downtown Vancouver.

Horrible food. I ordeted the fish tacos and there was barely any fish inside the deep fried batter which was chewy not crunchy. Additionally they were not spicy enough and there was no visible guacamole. I wpuld have sent it back had the server actually asked me how my good was or checked in with me the entire time I was there. After sitting at my groups table for 15 minutes she asked if I wanted a drink and that was the only interaction I had with her unail I ordered my food and paid my bill. The place wasn't packed busy yet it still took roughly 40 mins to get our food. I certainly won't be returning to thus browns and will not be making any browns my first choice. Typically I have had only subpar experiences at the other browns I have tried but this was the last straw in a string of horrible food.

The food and service here was great. My pasta meal was delicious. I'm always wary of ordering a dish with Alfredo sauce as more often than not, the sauce is bland and tastes like flour paste. However, this was NOT the case at Browns! My husband's steak sandwich was to his liking as well. Even the choice of tunes playing on their sound system was enjoyable! We'll definitely be back!

I had the Sichuan Beef bowl for dinner and the dish was fine but the snap peas were cut up and only the cut tips of the peas were included in the stir fry! I also had a stem included in the bowl. For $22 I found this rather a poor decision to cost save by the restaurant. Update: Received a call from GM Brittany and was given a surprise complimentary dinner for both Mom in law and myself. The food was very good and the service ???? Thank you Brittany for taking my concerns seriously. Greatly appreciated

They changed their menu few times and now the variety of their food menu is pretty boring. My favourite dish was Tahitian Tuna Burger but it is not available any more - big big disappointment. Their services is usually pretty good. The food tastes better if you eat in. After several super bad take out food from this restaurant, my friends and I no longer order their take-out. It's a good place to hang out with friends.

Went with a coworker for an after work session. Great atmosphere and weirdly great view despite just being on Columbia. I had the Dynamite roll and he had fish tacos. Both were spot on. Service was good; seems to be some effort to enter the order on her tablet thing though. My only real complaint was I couldn't find any parking other than pay and even that was difficult to find and pricey considering location.

Not a bad overall experience. Fish tacos were delicious and the salad was actually very good and well prepared. Fortunately there seems to be a shortage of local beers here which was kind of disappointing. Service was responsive and quick and very helpful.

The place is cozy and nicely decorated, has sports in TVs, the bar looks nice. It is missing in the menu appetizers for 2 or 3 people to share. Beers are about $6 to $11. Meals are from $13 to $30. Individual appetizers from $$6 to $20. I consider is not cheap but still affordable.

Decent food and atmosphere. The tables are a bit awkward for bigger parties for socializing, but it's great for watching a game or just hanging out casually with some friends. Service is fairly good, but they are typically quite busy.

every time I want to get out for a beer or some wings, this is the place, the restaurant itself is very nice and confy, Iove the great service, they have brunch on the mornings and it is delicious, also they have a freat happy hour with great deals, make sure to try the burgers or the brunch dishes! cheers! the price could be just a little bit higher than usual but beleive me it is well worth it

Booked a table for six tonight, because they had an outdoor patio - our hostess/waiter was “Harsha” who was pleasant and courteous, the food was absolutely delicious (blackened chicken fettuccine, steaks frites, beef dip), tasted and done the way it was asked (medium rare etc), and the table was beside an open air back patio that made it feel safe. Harsha Remembered our Lactose intolerance note from the reservation too, which was nice. My mother was especially impressed by the beef dip, because the beef was so flavourful, and asked to bring her here on her birthday coming up. Great times, food and company, definitely will Come back here.

We came for brunch and had a very underwhelming meal. The toast was cold and soggy, the potatoes were also cold. The eggs were fine. Of my party there was not one person that loved their meal. The mimosas were delicious and the service was polite.

Nice cozy place. Unfortunately, the female staff are too eager to get tips, so for couples it can be quite overwhelming, as the young waitresses keep interrupting every few minutes (sometimes 3 times in 5 minutes), to ask if you need anything else, and openly flirting with your guy. This has happened to me more than a couple of times, where the girls get even too touchy, touching my man's hands, shoulders, arms, and openly flirting with him and even calling him: hunky, sweetie, handsome, and asking him for his name, what type of job he does and where, and other very private staff whenever we try to have a quiet and private conversation. It is just too distractive, INVASIVE and totally violates the customers rights for privacy. If you do not stop soon this over eager and flirty waitresses unwanted attention to the male customers, my friends and us will have to find a new place where to hang out.

Good place to enjoy with friends!???? Calamari was crispy and delicious. I like the deep fried jalapeños with calamari. Chicken lettuce wrap was not really impressive. I tried Cactus club one and that one was much much better.. both taste and portion. But still not too bad. Alfredo fettuccine was okay, but maybe if it was more creamy, it would be better. Fish taco was the best among what we ordered. Toppings were all fresh and the portion was great. Deep fried fish stick was super crispy and there was no bad smell. And it came with French fries. (* we ordered an extra fish taco for friends. That is why ours is 3 tacos). Next time I will try happy hour ! No wonder Browns Socialhouse is everywhere????

We are regulars at this location. We often go for a quick meal and/or a drink. The staff are friendly and attentive. During nice weather their patio is a great place to enjoy a meal. The noise level is often quite loud when they are busy so don't go here if you're looking for a quiet meal.

I use to love the dragon bowl but the last few times I’ve had it ive always had to ask for extra rice because they have either made the portion smaller or added more sauce to how it’s made... A friend and I ordered the dragon bowl tonight to go and unfortunately this will be our last time giving it a go. It was covered in so much sauce we both couldn’t even half the bowls. For 17 dollars I’d rather just eat cardboard O_o

went there with 6people was the only one that had a somewhat bad experience therefore my rating, I will say that staff is friendly, but my order got messed up, they were quick to fix, even had manager come and ask if I was allergic so that was nice, then later was charged incorrectly so got that fixed too but was disappointed that didn't even get even $2 off my bill for the mess up, my friends did like the dessert and food, so willing to try again if I'm ever around the area

While the food was OK at best.... We noticed our service was horrendous. The "good looking" group of guys behind us at one point had 3 waitresses serving them. Meanwhile we were not served our (empty) side plate as promised upon delivery for our appetizers(which were messy and required such) We had to remove food items around to give ourselves the plates in which they sat upon. Also our empty wine glasses slid to the edge of the table as a clear sign for refill sat unattended for 25 minutes. For such a convenient location for my wife and I located at the bottom of our alley way, we have decided it is not worth the $ for the lack of service versus price of food. Seems the staff need to grow up and realize t.i.p.s. stands for... To Insure Prompt Service. Not service of the heart throbs only... Or lack therof.

Elisabeth did a very bad thing twice she filled my glass with ice by taking the glass and putting it in the ice cooler. Instead of using the scooper she used the glass. Not impressed at all very unsafe.

Food and drinks are okay, same as other locations. We sat outside but it was pretty hot due to the direct sun in the patio area with no blinds or umbrellas. Service was quick and friendly.

Theres a reason I steer clear of chains but this day I was in a rush. Very basic menu. My eggs were cold, my breakfast came with a salad which had a gingery? dressing that soaked into my avocado toast. I wasn't asked, nor did the menu say it came with said salad. They comp'd me hash browns. Then the power went out (not their fault I know). So they guessed what my bill should be so I could pay and leave. Stars because service was friendly.

Well see ....I loved taking my wife here for dinner and the drinks were made excellent having Heineken with a slice of lime is always my drink and my wife hot ceaser's were made to her liking. Now for dinner I do recommend the sushi and steak I know it's sounds unlikely but it does go. But unfortunately our meals were served cold so had them reheated but the magic disappeared. But 14+ years of marriage made it up for the unexpected. Overall good place for a date.

Awful experience. Service was very slow. The restaurant was not busy and it was over lunch hour. We waited over 15 minutes to order after being asked to order drinks twice. We waited over 45 minutes for our food and were with a small child. The pizza was bland and overcooked; he crust was crunchy and dry. A complaint was given about the pizza and the waitress did not offer to send it back to the kitchen. We again waited 15 minutes for the machines to pay after getting the receipts. Will not go back here and would not recommend - much prefer the pub up the street.

It's a hip place but the service is Slow. No one. The waitresses never came to check on us - you could've sold a few more products. The food was good although the stake was overdone and calamari were needed everything. Also noticed that stuff was piling up on my table. Should the empty glass not be removed right away?lack of training and floor management, I would not blame this on the individual waitress,,they had a manager on the floor. Also - serving red rose tea brand from Walmart. Really?!

It was my first visit there.The service was excellent . The server was very warm and friendly. I enjoyed my fish and chips. It was not greasy and I enjoyed my glass of Pinot Grigio. The table setting was nice and clean in the patio. I will go back again. ????????

Second time we went to this Brown Socialhouse and we were disappointed by the service. We didn't get to taste the food here and only got as far as given water. We had a waitress by us but she had someone else's order at the wrong table as we never got to order anything. We waited for 20 min and nothing happened. Table came in after us and got served before we did. We ended up walking out again and went to freshii for food which was also busy but got to us faster and got our food to us within 10-15 minutes thus for the one star. This is my first ever one star that i have given and never thought it would happen.

Nice location for those living in the apartments near by. Nice atmosphere and lots if tvs. Staff were nice and friendly. Prices are average. A little under $20 for most items. No dedicated parking though so you're stuck with street parking

I haven't dined out in a while considering all-too-well-known situation, and looked forward to visiting this franchise in a prominent location. Was I disappointed? You bet I was! They sat me on the enclosed patio where I had to wait at least 10 mins for a waitress to show up (restaurant was half-empty). That same waitress didn't even smile once (!!!) for the whole evening. Food? It was terrible! Chicken patty in the tacos I ordered was soooo overcooked I felt like I was grinding wooden chips! Onion rings were overcooked too and greasy as hell - I didn't finish them... The only reason I didn't ask to take it back was that I had been starving by the time the food (is it the right word?) arrived... I was about to leave no tips but I still did.... just for the sake of it..... around 10%. Pick a different venue if you don't want disappointment.

Tasty selections. Clean & well maintained. I removed a star due to my dietary restrictions and the server's failure to respect and understand those despite my trying to explain. That said, i was one of 13 in a group and everyone enjoyed their meals and the food did look wonderful. Fresh and well prepared.
