First on the positive side: the beer is good, beautiful location, friendly staff. Now for the negative: although tasty, the food was cold, no toilet paper in the holder, no soap to wash your hands (empty), used paper towels all over the floor; outside the grass needed mowing and the garden needed weeding. Nice place to have a beer but all-in-all a disappointing place to eat.

Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Beer is on point! Wonderful indoor and outdoor facilities! There's a lot of seating available here. We played washer toss while waiting for our food which only took about 15 minutes. Highly recommend for locals and non locals :)

Great brewing company and pub. The grounds are the best we have seen of any of the brewers in Fredericton we have visited so far. Great service, and friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good menu too, with a lot of variety. The outdoor patio in the back is to be seen. Like a gem oasis on the lawn.

Very fun space to spend a few hours having drinks in either a large or small group setting. There is plenty of outdoor seating for nicer days and there is enough indoor seating for those less than pleasant days too. Having the food trucks outside really helps make this place quite enjoyable.

Good place, it's technically a brewery so you can order delivery from other establishments right to the grounds. Many people use the walking path in the bridge that is very close by. There are also truck vendors right on the grounds, and Picaroons can make food as well. You can bring animals like dogs right inside, because on the wa weather the doors are wide open. Picaroons is an experience in Fredericton everyone can enjoy from visitor to locals!

Love it every time. Being right next to the river, and having plenty of outdoor seating makes this a great place to relax during the summer. I generally end up getting the York county cider and this time I got the nachos. They were excellent. Not your average nacho by any means. Lots of flavours you usually don't find, but they all went extremely well together.

This place is great I had a long bike ride beforehand and I was very parched because it was a hot day and the gracious employees of this establishment left out a bowl of luke warm water for me. I refreshed myself from the stainless steel bowl and then had a roughly 45 year old woman approach me and offer to buy me an IPA. Good times!

Amazing venue with spaciois indoor/outdoor seating along the river front and a great beer selection (16x taps avail on 06 Aug 2019). $8 for flights of 4x 5oz tasters is fantastic. Small food menu provides great varied options for eats, but the most popular items (burger, pulled pork) run out quick.

This was my first visit. Nice, big place and lots of outdoor space if you choose to sit outside. Very friendly staff, and the restaurant is very COVID-19 conscious. I had the fish and chips for lunch and it was delicious. I will definitely go back again.

Nice stop in Fredericton. The outdoor patio is awesome. Lots of space. We got food from a nearby food truck which was great. The beers were good. There was no sign detailing specifics of the beers and the names weren’t that helpful, but the staff working there was really nice and chose for us!

Piccaroons people should have a proper way to check vaccination status. I just showed them UNB vaccination verification report and they refused it and asked me government issued verification. What an absurd policy. We all vaccinated and we have a verified record. Those waitresses have no right to refuse UNB verification record. Ruined my evening.

It's ok, the food was decent but absolutely zero service. When I go out to eat I want to be served, not have to serve myself. It's a different experience I guess, just not one for me. Also, I'd prefer it if you could order your food and drink at one location, just a weird scenario in my opinion.

Great experience and friendly staff. I have tried the North burger and the 540 forty burger both are good; however the 540 burger is really good. Hugh outdoor seating area which makes it a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the sites. The menu is basic pub style fair with an upscale twist. If I was a beer drinker I would most likely have to give it a five star rating.

Amazing staff, really cool establishment. Fantastic out side patio with an excellent indoor space as well. You can go sit in for a drink or just grab a few for the road. They also serve a variety of non alcoholic beverages. Excellent place to stop and hang out. Play a couple of games on the patio or games inside. They do run special events so keep your ear to the ground for more information.

Convenient location (especially in the summer, as it's at the end of the Bill Thorpe walking bridge) with an amazing view of the river and Southside waterfront. Had their new black IPA (The Vinyl Cut) which was tasty. They have some snacks made by the Real Foods team and serve The Whitney Coffee Co. coffee (lattes, espressos, etc.) and Picaroons merch (shirts, beer soap, growler carriers, etc.). No growler fills yet (waiting on the licence as of the time of this review) but that's not a deterrent. Chill vibe with stools around the three outer walls (an outlet above the counter on each wall for the laptop crowd) with tables that seat 6 - 8 in the centre of the room. Walls are rough-hewn wood, with thick maple counters around the perimeter (the plank in front of me was actually bird's eye maple), industrial-looking light fixtures, and photos around the room feature the building's industrial past, in various states of repair (the last time I was inside, for example, it was a garage). This place will be packed come summer so come check it out while the place is still flying under the radar.

Fun local hangout in Fredericton, across the river from downtown on a repurposed railroad bridge that's now a pedestrian walkway. In addition to drinks, there are often a couple of food trucks there, and a big open area.

Great beer! Comfortable indoor area where you can consume fresh beer on tap. Its nice to go out, get out of the house. Before stopping in for a pint went for a walk across a bridge which crosses the saint John river. Quite beautiful.

Quality of service has sadly gone down since the new menu was introduced. Took 45 minutes to get one order of chicken wings, and only then because I asked how they were coming after half an hour. Hadn't even been started. I could understand a missed order on a busy night but it was dead slow. No apologies at all even though my partner was completely finished her meal by the time mine arrived. What else? Beer was lukewarm - c'mon, the least I expect from a brewpub is cold beer - and when I asked to sit outside they said all the tables were put away due to the rain earlier, only to see them gladly set up tables for other patrons. I loved this spot when it first opened but sadly won't be returning anytime soon.

Had a flight and the pub curry. The food was delicious but difficult to eat out of a box. I really enjoyed the Flood Red. One thing my group found was that it was extremely difficult to eat with the wooden forks. One individual who ordered a salad ended up snapping hers in half.

Great food awesome location. Love the look and feel of the roundhouse. Had the burger and it was melt in your mouth tender and oh so delicious. Had the seasonal beer on offer called Gourd which had an ever so subtle pumpkin spice. Will be back for sure.

Great location, connected to the pedestrian/cycling path next to the Walking Bridge. Lots of parking on site as well. Great views of the riverfront. Spacious inside with plenty of seating including some very long large tables for groups. The patio is huge, tables are spaced out with some chairs on the lawn for just sitting back and relaxing with one of their in house beers. Menu, so far I've only had the fish and chips but definitely recommended, one of the best I have had, the batter on the fish was light and seasoned very well. Would have to say one of the best in town I have had. Definitely recommend this place.

For years, I dreamed someone would take advantage of this amazing location. I'm glad it was Picaroons. I think the interior could be a better (I kept sliding out of my seat lol... they have some sort of matte-type finish. In any case, the view from the perimeter counter/bar on the south-facing side of the building is great. It's nice to watch joggers go by as I drink ;) Great spot!

Over priced... Low grade food. No table service .Yes pos has TIP option . Place is very elegant looking from the outside & looks like a bingo hall inside. High school style cafeteria table no private seating. We order wings, pullpork sandwich & toqutios. Waited 40 min..... Had to pick up my order from the counter... Everything was cold.

Now that the patio/backyard is open, this is one of the only places in all of Fredericton to take proper advantage of the beautiful river which flows through the city. You can drink fine beer while you sit out back watching the water. Cool. In terms of the setting and the building itself, this is one of the most interesting venues for a drink and a unique menu in the city. Well worth the nice walk across the walking bridge if you're living or staying on the south side. A very welcome gem on the north side of the river. Cheers!

Picaroons has a nice array of delicious beers, their North-Side location has a beautiful view of the St John River, and is easily walkable from downtown via the walking bridge. Not exactly inexpensive, but it is a great ambiance, and a good place to get together. Bring some friends for cards!

Tried all the beer on tap and the cider. Melonhead is the best beer by far. The food was very mediocre. The seafood sandwich and veggie curry were quite bland. It's a counter service restaurant with a very large seating area, decorated in a kind of commercial hipster style. They had cards and games and reading material which was awesome and the service was friendly. Would go back for the games and service, but maybe skip the meal!

540 burger was excellent...service was acceptable. My partner ordered something which was supposed to be pad Thai but was as far from pad Thai as a tomato sandwich is from pizza. Pad Thai is a specific dish with specific ingredients and this wasn't it at all...although it was delicious. Why not call it pad Picaroons or something else? I always love the beer. I had a Best Bitter, which is in my view the best beer made in the Atlantic provinces. Partner had a cider which he loved. The view and location is great. Very nice, casual place to stop by while out enjoying the summer. I should also mention the salad with my burger...the seasoning was perfect.

Next to a bike path along the river, it's the perfect spot to grab a beer in Fredericton. I stopped by today. I was able to lock my bike on a bike rack right next to the brewery. They serve beer and food as well.

Went here with 9 friends. Was a great day and the patio of this bar is located before the water. A bike and walk path outlines the patio exterior so you can people watch. There is bocci and other park games for kids and adults to play. There is also food at a reasonable cost and the furniture is painted very nicely. Would recommend on a warm summer day.
