My Husband and I drove to St. John for the weekend from Peterborough Ontario to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and wanted to check out the night life. We had a great time. Staff was friendly and courteous. We even met some locals. The live music was a nice touch. Would recommend this place and even come back ourselves the next time we are in town.

Hasn't changed in forever, and that is a good thing. I hadn't been to O'Leary's for probably 10 yrs, and recently had an opportunity to visit recently - the place looks exactly the same. Why mess with a formula that works. Friendly bar staff, a countdown clock that tracks to St. Patrick's day and a front bar (for socializing) back bar (for music) setup all make this a classic Saint John bar.

Worst drinks I ever had in an Irish pub. Felt the drinks were diluted with water.. even the whiskey shots we took were no good. They had live music on Saturday night when we went which was nice. Also it was open till 2am. 2 stars only for the ambience and late opening hours.

Was there, me and Big John Little, musician. 1999 trip! Living in my van at the time! Met lots of musicians there, etc "forget!" (Sugar-Plum Croxen & Big John Little) I think it was a "Sunday Night Jam"...........................Stayed a few days then went back to Fredericton, New Brunswick where I was living at the time. Nice comfortable room to do a show. I liked it. S.P.Cx.

This pub is a small but great place to stop for a beer as you walk all g the streets of Saint John. The service is great and the price is average for the area. Typical average Irish pub with great local music at times and friendly service. You will enjoy this break climbing the hill to the pub and the great people that frequent it.

We stopped here on a tour of Fundy Bay, who doesn't like getting a beer(Moosehead) while on a tour? They had a gentleman playing Irish folk songs while we were there. He was very good. A very enjoyable place, wish we could of stayed longer.

We stopped here as part of our tour. A guy was singing Irish songs and we had complimentary drink. Unfortunately I don't drink beer so I can't say I love it....:)

Great place. Idk if it's all the lucky charm s lieing around everywhere but my dad won 200$ twice on their vlc machines. I have had a blast drinking n dancing with friends. This place is a good time if you enjoy live music ???? and drinks.

The most authentic Irish pub I have been to outside of Ireland! The live Irish singer was amazingly good and it was fun to chat with locals and enjoy the craic. Great beer too

Very cool old bar and building. Great dance floor with low ceilings and surprisingly good sound. Lots of different rooms and multiple bars to find a drink.

An Irish pub with a proper Irish feel and a countdown clock to St. Pat's day. Good pint of Guinness and very welcoming staff. However, Irish bar or not we did not appreciate the singer belting out the whole array of Irish songs at 1 pm on a Tuesday afternoon. No need. Save that for 9pm Saturday night when customers are a bit more fired up.
