Definitely a better bar than it was an arcade. In terms of being an arcade, I was disappointed. The game selection was lacking. The games that were there were great, but most cabinets buttons were pretty rough, one entirely missing a player 2 joystick. This is to be somewhat expected since these are in heavy use. I was disappointed in the lack of cup holders in most games. I had to play a lot of games awkwardly with one hand, having a beer in the other. Some games did have them, but while playing Street Fighter with a friend it was awkward since it only had 1 cupholder.
What was most disappointing about the games was the pinball. There was a cover charge, meaning the games were free, except pinball which required tokens. The pinball room was completely empty both times I went because of this. I can play a lot of these arcade games at home in some way or form, but I really cant play pinball at home. It disappointed me that they opted for tokens, especially since pinball is designed to really take your first few while you figure out the game.
I have to give the place a fair score simply because it was a great bar/hang out spot and it seemed like that was why most of the patrons were there. The atmosphere was nice, almost giving a 80s/90s basement feel with its furniture. They had a great selection of beers, and a really nice back patio completely enclosed by the neighbouring buildings.
