Pretty good food, but the chip to dip ratio for the mosaic dip appetizer was lacking. Not enough dip! We asked if we could have more but the answer was a whole new dish would need to be ordered to do so. What's it take to get a lil extra dip up in here? Otherwise, service and food was great. Nice patio and lovely atmosphere. Just watch out for the sticky pudding. It's as huge as a brick but seems more like carrot cake your Grandma would serve you. Yikes!

The best service I have ever received, which includes many much more expensive restaurants. The food was also excellent and reasonably priced. I figured I was onto a good thing when I saw the parking lot full at 12:00 on a Wednesday, but did not realize just how good. The only downside is that I am only visiting and they are not in my neighborhood.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!! My husband and I went here for our first dinner date on Saturday as newly weds and the service we received was beyond spectacular. From the waitresses to the chef it was an amazing experience. When we were seated, we were directly across from the table we had our very first date at 7 years ago. My husband flagged down one of the waitresses and asked if we could sit at that table. They ended up moving us to that table without any hesitation and we thanked them. We were given a different waitress who was just the sweetest person I've met. I feel awful I can't remember her name. She treated us like gold and went out of her way the entire time we were there to ensure it was a special night for us. The Chef knocked the steaks out of the park - best ones we've ever had! At the end of the night, she brought us out a desert to share with 2 rings as a decoration on the plate.. it was adorable and so thoughtful and they didn't have to do that. I can't rave enough about this location!! Not to say the memory would have been ruined, but it could have easily been tarnished with bad service and food. The staff at this location helped make that night such a special and wonderful memory for the both of us.

Had lunch with a long time friend and we needed a place to meet and catch up that was a half way point for both of us. Moxie’s turned out to be the perfect location and we chose the ambience of the bar area. Service was great as our server recognized our need to chat. We got Our drinks and chatted away. She checked in on us from time to time and after bout an hour we were ready to eat. I ordered the Cobb salad and modified a couple of items. It was delicious and hit the spot! The other meal was chicken wings which I’m told were equally delicious. Suffice to say it’s our new get together spot!

I had a gift card for there. I liked it but not enough to return. The menu at the time was Asian and tuna influenced. I'm not a huge fan of tuna tacos for $18. Their sandwiches are surprisingly good, but again it's more expensive than should be. The service wasn't good or prompt unfortunately.

A bit nicer inside with a bit better food than most of the other big box restaurants it competes with. The chicken and prosciutto sandwich is a staple. Value isn't amazing, although on wednesday nights the half price wine special is pretty good for a date

My wife and I were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and decided to go to Moxie’s on Argentia (Mississauga). I called ahead to let them know we were coming and were greeted on the phone by Kayla who, when we mentioned it was our anniversary became excited and ensured us that we would be well taken care of. When we arrived, we were met by the manager Neal and a host. I mentioned that we were talking with Kayla and said that we were the couple that were celebrating the anniversary. They immediately recognized us and were equally excited. We were quickly whisked away to our private booth where we were to enjoy the rest of our evening. So far so good. We met our server Nikki. She was warm and friendly and when we mentioned it was our anniversary, she instantly became a part of our celebration and throughout the evening, made it an unforgettable experience. While the food was great and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, we have to say the service was outstanding and is the reason that Moxie’s Argentia will be a regular stop for my wife and I from now on. Thank you so much to Neal, Nikki, Kayla and the rest of the staff that made our evening a memorable one. Mike & Tammy (p.s. Thanks for the “gift”. Update, June 16, 2021. Moxies is back. It is so nice to be out again. The team here remembers us which is very nice. Will be back again soon. We have eaten here many times now. At least once every two weeks. Love the people, food and atmosphere. Covid kept us away for a while but we have been back several times since the lifting of restrictions. A big shout out to Caitlyn, John, Zinaha, Alyah and all the other great staff who take amazing care of us whenever we are here. Thank you all. Be sure to visit and say hello for us!!!

Went to this location reluctantly yesterday, as I did not have the best experience the last time I had went. Although this was much different in large part because of our server, I believe she said her name was Youlisa. Food was as expected but her service made the experience infinitely better. Extremely attentive, caring and the ability to connect with everyone at the table and myself effortlessly. Food was wonderful however service was inattentive and sporadic - which has been the trend the last few times we’ve been here. Meals came out staggered, the drinks were wrong and I was 1/2 done my meal before I could flag a manager to bring me some condiments as my waitress was missing in action. Next time I’m spending $200 on a meal it won’t be here.

Food was good, steak was great, served was great. Front of the house staff were terrible. Overheard one mocking me to his colleagues while my back was turned. This is unacceptable behaviour. Covid should not be an excuse to compromise hiring standards. All 3 of them manning the front of the house patio were inexperienced and useless.

I took my girlfriend to Moxie's this past weekend for the first time. We went to the bar area were we could watch the football game. Our servers name was Nicole who also happen to be the bartender. She was absolutely amazing. Everything she suggested was spot on and her attention to detail was empecable. Now my girlfriend ordered a stake for her main but instead of it being cook to a medium it came to the table more a medium rare and was very bloody. She informed Nicole that the stake was under cooked and Nicole immediately sent it back to the kitchen. The manager working that night even came to our table to apologize for the inconvenience. The stake came back a few minutes but it was still too rare and bloody. My girlfriend unfortunately lost her appetite and instead order a sandwich to go. But we didn't leave right away because we were enjoying our time there. When it was time for us to leave Nicole came brought with my girlfriends her take out order and informed us that they were writing off the stake and that the sandwich was on the house as well (which was unexpected). This was the best service and experience we have ever received from any establishment. From the moment we sat down in our booth to the moment we left, Moxie's (especially Nicole) over delivered. I can recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back.

After a traumatic experience at David's Bridal where my daughter, the bride, received a shocking bill for the alterations to her gown for $649, we stopped at Moxie's for a bite to eat and to recover. Upon hearing our story, our waitress was very sympathetic. Next thing we know, the manager comes to our table with a bottle of Prosecco, compliments of Moxie's!!! WOW!!! Having recently married himself, he said he understood the incredible high cost of a wedding. My daughter and I were really touched by the gesture and immensely enjoyed the wine! By the way, our food was fantastic, as well! Thank you once again for a memorable experience. A GREAT RESTAURANT ... WITH A HEART!!!

Very impressed with the nice patio area they set up to accommodate more guests during covid. As a 'calamari' fan, the restaurant serves one of the best calamari I had ever tried:) I also enjoyed the blackened shrimp taco very much! Lively atmosphere, very nice decor. Popular spot - even on a Wednesday had to go on a waiting list. Food service in the dining half was very good - friendly but not overly familiar gets high marks from me. Unfortunately though, while the food looked good it wasn't great. The shrimp and pesto app was far too salty and the spinach salad had too many sweet elements with nothing for contrast.

Had lunch on January 19, 2017 with a colleague. Place is well decorated, and my New York steak was delicious (ordered rare, and was served rare!). Baked potato is also very tasty. I would say everything was good - had an extra skillet of mushrooms. Wonderful white chocolate brownie (which was HUGE - in before 'what she said'). Waitress was sweet and very attentioned to our needs. Price is fair (although weird - you'll see from their menu). The only thing that would make this place better - and this applies to almost every other similar joint, e.g. Jack Astor's - is the music: why does it have to be so loud? The point of having a lunch in good company is being able to talk, and not be forced to yell at each other to be heard. Anyway, tone done the music, but great place overall. Will be back for sure.

Well apparently I have edit my previous 5 star review. This is a shout out to Julia and Deanna. I left without my Short Ribs, which are amazing by the way and they did end up in hopefully the compost. However, I called when we where on our way back from the airport and sure enough they had a fresh batch cooked up for me. Once again Moxie's steps up and delivers. Very enjoyable meal. The wait staff seem to be no longer trying to upsell the menu. I stopped coming to this location about a year ago because of the wait staff pushing wine appetizers and improvements to the meals. I am glad a friend picked this location so we could have another chance. The meal was nice and we will come back.

Good food and service. They used to have an allergen chart in the restaurant but not any more. It is on their website though. Got the beef vindaloo but substituted beef for soy protein and asked for extra veggies. The sauce was really good and had a decent kick to it. Rice portion could have been a bit bigger They specify which dishes are vegetarian but they don't cover vegan however the allergen chart online can lets you know what would need to come out to be vegan. Example if you want a vegan burger remove the cheese and get lettuce instead of the bun

On october 27/18. My boyfriend and I came for dessert. We had Zinah. She was super super friendly. I have always lives customer service at moxies. However this time they only had one of the 2 white chocolate brownie orders we made so they offered to pay for our second dessert. Of course it wasn't their fault so we decline but they insisted and did it anyways. This is not the first time they more then made up for the most minor inconviences. The littlest things that I don't care for and even before giving me a chance to complain they automatically have a solution or compensation even when it isn't needed.

A favourite dinner spot for my partner and I. The Chicken Rigatoni is always a hit, and you MUST end the meal with a White Chocolate Brownie. The bar area is a great area to catch a game, but the dining area is also well separated from the bar where you even forget there is a bar in the same building. Great spot for dinner with family, friends or a date with your partner!

Extremely rude. I am 23 years old and recited my whole id. Showed them a second peice and they told me THAT I DID NOT LOOK LIKE MY OWN ID. after this they forgot my orders and took extremely long to serve my food and treated me with such horrible amount of disrespect. The manager himself was the most extremely rude to me, more rude than the servers. Nothing else I can do but complain on here about this awful experience. Wouldn't recommend this location.

My first experience with Moxie's Grill & Bar was very surprising to me. One of the best things would be the atmosphere. It really stands out from other restaurants. Seems like Moxies doesn't want the business? I called 4 times to make an order for takeout. The first two it was busy (is it the 80's?!). The 3rd I was transferred to the bar where they never bothered picking up. The 4th they just hung up rather than transferring me to the bar. Google says they are far below the average busyness (it is 9:15pm on a Wed!) so I'm not sure why the staff can't be bothered to help. I'll call the Keg instead i guess!

All elements of my experience at Moxie’s last night was fabulous. Our server was attentive. I told her I have celiac so minutes later the manager appeared to ask if I needed any help with menu selection. There menu provides lots of selection of gluten free dishes. The Thai dish was flavour. Three of us went to this location to grab a bite to eat. We ordered three beers (Stella) and they came fairly quick. My girlfriend ordered the tenders and we had to ask for the fries because they did not come out with the meal and were forgotten. My sister-in-law ordered the Cashew Chicken Lettuce Wraps and they were tasty. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo bowl which I didn’t enjoy because the portion was small compared to the price of the food. We were not checked on after the food was delivered until after we had finished eating. Unfortunately, I would not return here because even sampling the other two meals with my pasta I am not even half satisfied (was not asked how the food was either...it was assumed I enjoyed my meal).

Very nice patio to spend a relaxing evening. 1/2 price bottles of wine every Wednesday is part of our week now. Staff are friendly and professional. On line reservations were great , sitting near the loud kitchen no so much. Our server Megan gets 5 stars for exemplary service. "The burger"was also excellent. While one does expect a bar and grill to be a bit noisy for me the din was a little too loud. Dessert was really yummy . I would visit again but perhaps at a time when its a bit quieter.

The restaurant decor is nice, a bit dark, but fine. There is a lot of background noise making a conversation with friends difficult and the menu was overpriced for what we received. I ordered a salad and chicken and it was tasty, but for the price they could have at least tossed in a few more lettuce leaves. My friend had an Asian inspired soup as he is vegetarian and he was underwhelmed. I doubt we will return.

This is normally one of our favorite places to go when we want great food and service. This may be why I was so surprised, when my $34.00 steak, vegetables and roasted potatoes were cold. We came for lunch, at 2pm, not very busy, and because we were celebrating our anniversary, we came starving. The steak was overdone and luke warm, the vegetables had beans and yellow zucchini both were cold and the zucchini was mushy, and finally the roasted potatoes extra brown on one side and cold in the middle as well. We did not have time or the energy to send mine back, and my wifes meal which was exactly the same was perfect (she had stuffed potatoe instead). Service was ok definitely not the way they checked on you before, and seemed pleasant but detached. The three rating was for getting my wifes food right, but I think we are gonna skip Moxies the next time.

Totally cool place to take a loved one to brunch. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because we got seated in a windy spot. The glass surrounding is like a wind tunnel on the west side. I usually go to the brampton location, but I was in the area, so I decided to visit this location. My dad, son and I went during lunch time, so it was busy. We were seated almost immediately, and a waitress was with us shortly after . We ordered nachos for an appetizer, and a pizza for our main. This is our usual order, since my dad is vegetarian and it is also kid friendly. The waitress brought our appetizer and main out at the sane time, which was a little frustrating. We ended up going back and forth between the two. The nachos appeared small, but they were filling, it was way to much for the 3 of us. the pizza was delicious and baked to perfection, we even added additional toppings which took it over the top.

We usually go here a few times a year for special dinners and have had a wonderful time. Both our servers and the food have always been outstanding. Tonight our server was absent, the steak was chewy and the sides were cold. There were empty dishes on the table for half the meal as multiple servers walked back and forth past our table. I think I’ll choose somewhere else for the next special night out.

Great atmosphere, comfortable seating a simple but amazing menu, with a wide range of gluten free options. If your looking for a quiet dining experience, best to go between 2-4pm which is right after lunch and just before dinner! Pretty busy between 12-2 (lunch) and 5-9 (dinner).

After a previous negative experience at another Moxie's location, I was hesitant to try this location that was closer to home. I am glad I did though, as the service was very kind and prompt. The food was a little hit or miss but it just depends on what you order. Parking was hard to find in front of the restaurant, but there are alternate places to park as it's located in a large plaza.

Would have been 1 star rating but the manager did his best to accommodate our party. When we arrived for our pre-booking it was not ready and had no n tables for us. They made a table and finally had us all seated. The manager had additional apps sent to the table free of charge as an apology which was very nice. Thankfully this was not my first time at a Moxie's and the service before this night has always been top notch! I can truly say it was an unlikely "one off" evening by the staff.

This is my favourite location. I've had a fairly good experience at any location but this one is the best. The layout is amazing. On top of that the service is excellent. I went last night and ordered something, took one bite and I was disappointed. My server come over to check on me and my friend and I said I didn't like the food and that she could take it back but not to worry. Not only did the manager come out to help me pick something new, he made sure my order was rushed so that I didn't have to wait at all. I was super satisfied with the service level at this location!

Fantastic experience-popped in here as we wanted somewhere different for lunch and this had very good reviews...can see why! The decor and ambience in the place is wonderful...trendy and classy without being stuffy or pretentious. We had a wonderful server called Mohit who again was confident and helpful without being intrusive. Started with the calamari and shrimp appetizer which was just fantastic...highly recommend! My wife then had chicken marsala rigatoni and I had the fish tacos. The chicken was just sublime. Tacos were good but could maybe do with a little more seasoning...only minor issue really. We finished by sharing the salted caramel chocolate cake which was divine! It's little things which make a place great...our 2 yr old was asleep for most of the meal but when she woke up Mohit made us aware of the fantastic policy at Moxies where kids are given a plate of jasmine rice and veggies on the house. Our 2 yr old loved it and even the quality of her food was outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will certainly be back again soon...highly recommend!

Waited about 15 minutes to even get service. Finally when the server came by she looked at us like we were stupid with a "can I help you guys?" it was a dead Friday afternoon around 4pm. There was a total of 3 people in the lounge area. The worst thing about going to a restaurant is bad customer service. I will not come back to this location for this reason and it's just too bad because I live around this area but now I will drive the extra distance to either square one or Courtney park. Very disappointed!

Hands down this is the best Moxies in the city. Have been to other locations nearby and they don’t compare. Our family comes here all the time because the customer service is on point, the food is always excellent and the setting is great for a casual lunch/dinner or a friends night out. It’s very rare to find a manager, let alone a GM (Jon) hustling on the floor making it easier for his team to do their job. It was very busy tonight yet everything ran smoothly. While a bunch of us waited to be seated, he offered a glass of wine - what a thoughtful gesture. We even noticed him setting a table to get the next group seated. Our server, Eos was also top notch. All Moxies should look to this location as they have truly raised the bar. Great job and much appreciated! MICHELIN STAR ⭐️

It's been a while since I have been to Moxies and didn't know they served great food like this. Last time I was here they didn't really have options. I had the Mango Salsa Chicken on a bed of quinoa and wow was it amazing. Highly recommended. I ordered one of their draught beers (miilstreet organic) and it was flat and tasted off... the server replaced it with one of their house taps, and it was barely drinkable. My steak was cooked to perfection, but had a large vein of gristle running through the middle of it. It was tasty though. I couldn't help but notice that the other 4 people at the table were having difficulty cutting their steaks too. The sides were good, and server was pretty attentive.

Good experience. Went with a large family with many kids. Staff was friendly and attentive. An order was messed up and they remade it and the manager also got us a complementary dessert. Food was OK. Staff made up for the ok food.

So I was traveling thru town and stopped by based on reviews. The reviews do not do this place justice! The food was AMAZING!!! This was nothing compared to the service. My husband tried a new beer(barking squirrel), and was loving it. We asked our server, Andrea, where we could find some because we are from the States. She then brought out the beverage manager, Peter, and he looked up beer store locations for us. Thanks for not only doing your job, but going that extra step. This was my first time trying a Moxie's and it won't be my last. I hope all of your locations have such great employees!????

The food was decent. A pretty standard affair, nothing too special. But the service was excellent. Apparently our nachos came overdone (it was mostly fine), so in addition to our original plate, we were given an extra plate on the house. The manager, I believe his name was Joe, came out to apologize. Later, one of our steaks was overcooked. He came to apologize again, it was redone, and taken off our bill. Standard food. Splendid service.

I ordered a gluten conscious meal with no onions because they cause bloating and gas. Not only did I have to make multiple adjustments to my meal (which I've never had to do before) the meal still came with onions, which they did say they would remake it but I knew my husband would not eat his steak meal until my new meal came and I was not willing to do that. I am highly gluten intolerant and onions give me significant bloating and gas. I tried my best to pick the onions out but since leaving I have been extremely uncomfortable and even threw up. I love Moxies and I must say our server (Jeremy) was wonderful but I am extremely disappointed with my experience tonight and will think twice about going there in the future.

I am extremely disappointed that moxies has taken Potstickers off of their menu. I came here just for those and I always order them whenever I do go to moxies. Please put them back on, I know a bunch of people that would appreciate it so don't even say that they don't sell. Probably won't come back until the Potstickers do. Sorry for you loss of costomers, should have known better.

Tried the calamari, guacamole and an alfredo dish. Everything was delicious. Loved the calamari, not too oily. Guacamole was very refreshing. For dessert tried their flourless chocolate cake. I think I will stick to with flour next time. Lol!

Great lunch with coworkers. Food was excellent and most people seemed to like it. My meal was tasty and perfectly portioned. I was pleasantly surprised that the parmesan was shaved petals. I would order this again. Service was polite and knowledgable but food was a bit slow to come out. Luckily, we were with the boss so time wasn't important but you might want to keep that in mind if you have only an hour to work with. Decor is modern and understated elegance - very nice for a business meal.

I tried to use a brand new $100 pre paid visa gift card here. The scatter brain waitress tried 3 times and said it wouldn't work. The card was brand new. The bill was $160 and I said you have to charge $100 to the card and ill pay cash for the rest, to which she replied "Im sorry its just not going to work like that do you have another method". If even one person here doesnt know their job properly why would i return? I honestly should have said "no" Money is money.

My bf and I love Moxies Peppercorn NY steak. This was our first time at this location and we have experienced such poor food quality. 1) My bf ordered Coke- Instead they said Pepsi (Which he didn't mind). When he had a sip, it was tasting diff and watered down...finally, On the bill it said 'DIET PEPSI' 2) We ordered peppercorn NY steak - with a side of poutine (for my bf) and caesar salad for myself. Until the end, I never got my caesar salad and the waitress completely forgot! I asked if it's on its way- to which she repeatedly said "they're making it" 3) Our main - Steak - The peppercorn sauce compared to any other Moxies location was very watery. There was no taste in the gravy, the steak we asked was Medium - which wasn't to the mark. Overall, our waitress was pleasant and very kind.. but the food really disappointed us, especially since we were craving it and it was our date night... Wouldn't go back to that location.

Sat at the bar with a group of about 10, good atmosphere. Has an extensive wine list. Our server was great, attentive and honest. Menu is delicious and the food came really fast. My one complains is our nachos were greasy and half the cheese was on the plate rather than the chips. Everything else was beautifully plated and flavourful. If your want an espresso after dinner get it before midnight because they had already closed down the machine when I ordered it.
