In town for work. Was amazed by the menu, not expecting the quality and speed of the dishes offered. By far one of the best Chicken Curry dishes I have had with the nameplate. Staff was again better than expected. Ask Shauna for the Special Whiskey Crouton desert, always a favourite.

Most of all the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is exactly what a pub should feel like. If you get really lucky and end up here when the traditional Celtic band "The Blind Mary's" are playing, well... Not much beats that!!

We've been here about 5 times now and it gets better every time. Amazing whiskey flavoured wings, great fish and chips and friendly service. The portions are very nice too, as someone who eats alot, I never leave hungry.

A few friends and I went in about an hour before closing hoping to have a drink or two.. When we walked in, there was still about 8 people there, eating and drinking. We didn't even get a chance to sit down and the bartender said "we're done" and we were so confused because I felt like he was basically kicking us out and didn't even give us the opportunity to order a drink. I have been there a few times to eat and always enjoyed going there but after this visit I will not be returning there. Very disappointing.

Nice place and fantastic server. I got the veggie burrito and it was just okay. Tasted like the frozen veggie patties but they loaded me up with fries. I would definitely give it another chance but I'll be trying a different menu item because I felt comfortable and welcome here.

My family (wife, myself, and our six kids) ate here while on a trip. We were served by the owner. She treated us very well, and listened super well to the kids. She spoke with them and made them feel valued. The food was really good (wild mushroom soup at a pub!??!)!! Nice beer list. I even forgot my wallet on the table, and the owner tried to look me up on the internet to get it back to me. If you like pubs, put this place on the top of your list if you’re in Midland.

They had a few good beers on tap, including a few relative rarities, like Collingwood. Pretty dead when I was in there, but appeared to have a good atmosphere. It's in a nice part of town too, tucked away from the main street, which you may or may not find appealing.

It's very unfortunate that the old owners had to sell. Cellermans was my favourite go to pub in Midland. Not anymore. For anyone reading this, and realizing there's new owners. Please rethink your decisions on where to get a pint and some pub grub in Midland. Cellarman's isn't Cellarman's anymore. Our server was in her first week, she did amazing. Kudos to you for putting up for the drunk owner in the kitchen. Please find a less toxic work environment.

Me and my husband ordered some food to go (nachos with the cajun beef and some wings) from here during our weekend trip. When we got to our hotel room and opened up the nachos, we didn't see any of the beef that we ordered with it. My husband called them and told them about it and they insisted on making it up to him. He went back to the restaurant to grab what he thought was just going to be the beef so we could just put it on our existing nachos back at the hotel, but they made a whole new batch of nachos for us with the beef this time and for no charge. That was really great and generous of them. The food that we ordered was really good. We especially liked the wings. We liked that you can customize the spiciness of whatever flavor you choose. We ordered the GarPar (garlic parmesan) wings and ordered them hot. We've been to a good amount of wing places and we have never come across a place that lets you customize your flavor's spice level. We really enjoyed it. If anyone we know is going to make a trip to Midland and wants to know a good place for wings, we will recommend Cellarman's

Will have to come back in 2 or 3 weeks when the new owner has things settled. The beer was warmer than I'd like. The food was simple but tasty. A few things on the menu that we wanted to try but were no longer available. There was a time when we would have "taken over" a place like this with a load of friends and drank loads of stuff and eaten loads of "pub food". And funky cold Medina was in the music selection.... how can you not like that.

Older pub. Looks like it's been around a while and the decor hasn't been updated...so it's got some character. The food was AMAZING. I had the beef and mushroom pie and it was really good. My girlfriend got the chicken curry pie and it was very good as well. Closes early for a pub (8pm).

Went to the Cellarman's Alehouse yesterday for the first and it was amazing!!! I am huge burger person, so I was sure to get me a burger. I had the barbecue burger topped with some house pub sauce and I loved it. The house salad was good too. I will have go back soon, hopefully by summer.

Just had the wings when I went in there. Probably should have got the sauce on the side, cause they were a little soggy by the time I got them back to my hotel. Now I ordered suicide, cause for some reason, I hate my digestive tract. But it was super flavorful, not insane hot like some of those other places. I also ordered hot wings. Wow... Great job guys.

They offer a variety of beers on draught as well as bottles and full service bar. My group had 8 member, everyone ordering food that was very different; wraps, soup, sandwiches, salad and pot pie. Everyone was pleased with their food and service.

A nice cozy pub with a more authentic over -the-pond feel than most in Ontario. The food was all right, but I've certainly eaten better traditional grub in other places. I have the steak and mushroom pie which was more an unthickened soup than a stewy pie with a rather bland puff pastry on top, so, not really a pie at all. The waitress was very attentive which was a plus. So, nice atmosphere, good service, uninspiring food.

New ownership... needs to get more comfortable with running this quaint pub. Tonight they were short staffed, only one waitress (inexperienced but trying hard) plus a guy in the kitchen, who came out to help at tables. Food was SUPERB but menu has less items to choose from. I would go back in a couple of weeks when the dust settles. Great potential, hope Cellarman's prospers!

This used to be a very nice place to go to eat. However after my last visit I doubt I'll be back. The food was decent, I'll give them that. Service sucked. We waited a good 30 minutes before even placing an order. And an hour before the food arrived. We had to request to pay. Hardly seen our server. All of this and I think there was another two diners in the place so it wasn't a case of being busy. The building also had a musty smell that was unsettling trying to eat in.

My boyfriend and I dined out at Cellermans Ale House pub for lunch. Our waitress was very friendly and comedic, was great. I ordered the spinach goat cheese salad. The texture of this salad was simply divine. The flavours went together very well. Their menu is full of Irish classics. Very hearty meals however if your looking for something light I highly recommend their specialty salads. For the value, they are by far the best in town. I love the atmosphere for Cellermans Ale house, its very quaint but cute and has a homely vibe feeling. The only downfall is that the bathrooms are located upstairs. And the bathrooms are quite small.

Service, quantity and quality!!! There were so many good options to choose from this British style pub! I always love a good chicken pot pie and love curry. So when I saw they had a chicken curry pot pie, I had to try. Unique style and taste! Not a beer drinker but they had beers and a full bar rail any taste, including some unique stuff on tap. Our server was super friendly and warned us when we try to order a full dish for our kids that it would be too much for our toddlers. Wish I had room for the sticky toffee dessert!

Good for location and authenticity. Going early for food is a requirement otherwise full kitchen is closed and only apps are available. Never really busy which has its ups and downs depending on what your looking for.

Gives a dive bar a whole new meaning. Absolute rank interior, everything is filthy from the ceiling to the floor. Came in with my family to be seated between two other tables who were obviously being over-served. Stayed for just over an hour, no music playing and the TV on silent, my mother couldn't use the washroom for the only one was up a huge flight of stairs. Was told my food would be delayed because of a party happening. . Terrible experience, fast food would have saved us time and money and probably would have been hotter too.

First time we got the take out Fish & Chip, fish was perfect and the fries were a nice golden brown. That was last week, this week not so good everything was over cooked. Fries were over cooked and the fish batter was over cooked, however the fish it self was very moist. May have just been a bad night for the cook will most likely try them again.

Cellarmans! What happened ? Normally receive great chicken wings from you but decided to order something else instead. Big mistake. Husband ordered fish and chips..Ok fish pretty good and chips but coleslaw was advertised with this meal. We are still laughing so hard at the portion. A mere tablespoon or could it fill the spoon? You are kidding , right? The house curry? worst I ever tasted...what is the bitterness added to the curry? I can still taste it in my mouth after eating and diced up chicken in it like soup, omg.Not good. Normally I don't do bad reviews but I felt strongly in this case. Not impressed.

The place is hard to find and very little parking. The decor is dated and we wondered who's food the spiderweb on the ceiling was going to fall into. There was a large group of us so by the time the food was served some of it was luke warm. The food for the most part was very good although there were some of us who were not overly enthusiastic. Really depends what you order I guess as some of our group were ecstatic about the food. The fish and chips were to die for and the staff were helpful and friendly. Another draw back is accessibility to the washrooms which are up a steep set of stairs. Two of our party had to go elsewhere to use the washrooms as they couldn't make it up the steep stairs to the second floor. If anybody has mobility issues this is not the place for you. Would I go back? Yes, for the food, but the washroom issue is a problem if you like to drink beer.

I’d give this place a 5/5, not based on it being the ‘best place ever’, but rather ‘hitting the mark’ exactly, given what we were looking for and walked in expecting. Definitely not a fancy experience but if you’re looking for a solid pub lunch in an ‘eclectic’ looking place then look no further! I’m British originally and my wife lived there for 10 years before we moved back here. This is exactly what you’d expect of a small pub, tucked away in a small-ish town in terms of ambiance and decor. That said, the service is definitely 100% Canadian - our server (also the only bar tender) was amazing and couldn’t do more to help us, including our 3.5 and 1 y/o girls. There are no kids meals on the menu but she suggested a perfectly sized appetizer and brought us a plate of veggies to snack on while the food was being prepared, as well as giving us crayons and a colouring book as soon as we sat down. We’d just been for a brisk autumn walk along the Tay Shore trail and the hearty ‘pub grub’ we ordered hit the mark perfectly. Hand made burgers were just that. Guinness was spot on. We’d definitely come back again

Cellarmans was an awesome pub. The food was good, no complaints at all. Only dissapointing thing was a lot of things on the menu weren't available. But the server was upfront right away about the missing items. She was very nice and helpful, despite being the only person working she did her best to tend to all tables in a timely manner. If youre looking for a small pub, to have some drinks and laughs, you won't be dissapointed!

Ate there last night and the food was okay. Our server was very friendly But nothing special about the food. We had wings and the liver. The wings were half price as it was Tuesday. The liver covered the garlic mashed potatoes but seemed to have no taste. The Caesar salad was yummy. Don't think we will return

The chicken wings are highly recommended. For the really tough eaters the 20's, on Tuesdays even at half price. If you don't make it, you can also get it wrapped up. (Original) Prima, authentischer und gut besuchter Pub mit einer guten Auswahl an verschiedenen Bieren. Das Personal ist freundlich und gab sich auch bei unseren eher mittelmäßigen Englisch-Kenntnissen größte Mühe. Sehr empfehlenswert sind die Chicken-Wings. Für die ganz harten Esser die 20'er, Dienstags sogar zum halben Preis. Wer es nicht schafft, der bekommt es auch gern eingepackt.
