I booked a room for my husband who was on business in the area. I got a confirmation number and he got a confirmation email. Then he arrived to check in and the staff member quickly told him there was no reservation, then smirked and said “sorry” sarcastically. Unbelievable! Beware that they intentionally overbook and are completely unapologetic about it!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Our dog Heidi enjoyed her stay as she was made to feel welcome by the staff who gave her lots of fusses and treats. Only disappointment was the equipment in the fitness room was not working.

Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. We were there for the New Years Supper and dance and the service was incredible. Food was really good.

Horrible. Floor in room was sticky. Bathtub had grunge around edges, mold on window area, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, lamps didn't work. Couldn't stay here. Had to leave shortly after checking in....

Great Place!! My wife and I took an overnighter from PEI and looked for a place online. Found this place, it looked nice and was pet friendly. It was all that and more! The staff were very welcoming. They loved our dogs and made sure everyone was happy. The room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good and the dining room was set up very classy. A big thank-you to Noah, Wendy and Sarah. All class acts!! We’ll be back.

Nice decor. Great location in Dartmouth. Building shows a few signs of age. Staff are wonderful. Parking can be iffy if you get in late but is parking at a nearby store within a half block.

We got to the hotel Sept 3rd nice old building, got to our room and seemed ok till I looked at the floor it was filthy, the bed sheets had brown marks on it, and the garbage in where you could make your coffee had pill bottle and razor and other stuff, so yeah garbage was not emptied, the dust on the pictures in the room were thick. Staff was great but won't be going back there left a day early.

Booked a room directly from the hotel 11 days in advance of our stay, got a confirmation email with all the right details including a confirmation number ... showed up and there was NO room. I showed the clerk the confirmation email and got an explanation that didn't make any sense to me. There was little if any apology and no attempt to help us find a room elsewhere. We had driven 17 hours from Ontario and had NO PLACE TO STAY!

Nice hotel, room was clean bed was super comfortable and sheets were clean, check in was quick and easy. All things were good considering the rules around covid. Only curiosity was the oddity in some of the decor, old Victorian style, with a budda? Or a Chinese paper lantern? May want to rethink those parts. But the quirky made the stay interesting.

In my entire trip across Canada and back to British Columbia this was the worst hotel by far. The room stunk and it would take me two hours on the motorcycle with fresh air to clear my head. I would not stay here regardless of the price. Definitely do not recommend!!

Very friendly (award winning) staff. Rooms were very charming and had hardwood floors. Not much parking out front but a lawblaws superstore metres away serves as overflow. Breakfast was very quaint, all the usual fixings but felt more upscale than the usual yogurt-and-eggs breakfast at other hotels.

Nice place to stay for the night. Room was spacious, staff was great. Bed was comfortable. The only thing I can complain about is the dirt(urine) on the front of the toilet. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

Booked a room via trip advisor, came to check in with my family. The turned me away saying they do not have any rooms available even though I showed them my booking reference number. All she could do was apologize...did not help find another hotel. Trash service would never book here again, left me stranded with my 8 year old.

Arrived and there was no room for us after receiving confirmation by email. Staff response was short and VERY rude. Rather than explaining the mistake, staff used a rude tone and kept interrupting. Poor customer service

The worst staff i have ever dealt with lady at the front desk spoke to me like a child raised her voice at me over nothing very immature and rude. hotel looked nasty from the outside decided to take my business else where because of how rude she was. don’t recommend wasting your money on this place.

Lovely hotel, with a great location (1 minute from the highway, 10 minutes from Ikea and outlets). Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean Will book again next time I'm in the area.

One of the most rundown hotels I have ever stayed in. Severely undermaintained and filthy interior from decades past. With grotesque and almost comically gaudy and cheap furnatures to boot. You could feed people worked there really didn't care about it. In the room we found a used paper cup with lipstick mark placed upside down, stacked up with the clean ones. This was so unacceptable! When we brought this up they apologized and took some money off the bill. Hence I up the stars from 1 to 2. I hope they would do better job in housekeeping going forward. Apparently the owner is building a new hotel/lodging right next door and neglected this old one as the day it faces the wracking ball wouldn't be too far off. I would not recommend it unless it is crazyly cheap and you don't mind the outdated and sad state of the property.

I'm not a complainer, I usually sick it up. But this was not a good experience. When I pulled back the sheets, they were dirty where your feet would be. The noises all night because the room was next to elevator was really loud, the air conditioner was on all night but the room was extremly hot. Came down for breakfast, since they advertised a hot breakfast. I was handed a paper bag with a superstore muffin, yogurt, fruit cup & juice box. Not exactly what I wanted but oh well. Told staff my disappointment & what happened. I was told when I come again they will give me a better room. No discount, no refund or sorry. I won't be back & will not recommend. Dartmouth location!

This hotel needs a lot of TLC. The main stairway to the third floor shakes when you use it. Some of the stairs have wood braces, what is that all about? The furniture is worn and the who place needs to be renovated. I am giving it a three for value and the fact that I had a comfortable room with a lounge chair, 50" tv, and a 4 post bed. Also, the staff on the front desk was very friendly.

"That rotten hotel." ~My mother My parents were staying here, and we spent a couple minutes checking them in, etc. None of us could believe how rude service was every time we came in or tried to interact with them in any way. Two stars comes for location alone. Not everyone should own or work in a hotel just because they can. If you don't need a vaguely Central Hotel, stay away. If you've ever believed in even average customer service and interaction, stay away
