I have been here a few times now. The 2 younger female bartenders have been A++. They are really attentive and friendly. Josee is very very sweet! Drinks are always quick to arrive. They're very thankful and appreciative when you pay. The juke box is a great added feature.

Just a fun little neighborhood pub. Everybody there seem to know each other, but are friendly and inclusive. They have a dozen or so taps, all Molson affiliated products, which is fine, I had an IPA and my sweetheart had a Newcastle. Other perks about this place: they have a Mississippi table, sofas... and a dog!! A super chill doggo who likes to be pet by everyone.

I got banned for telling a fellow patron that the jukebox playlist was not good in my opinion. A crazy barmaid started yelling at me from across the bar and basically told the owner to ban me. Fyi I have been going there for years, she started working there a few months ago. Sad that they would kick out a long time customer for such a silly reason.

(Translated) Shame About 2 months ago (around mid-February 2018) we spent the evening in this bar where we have had our habits for years. The service having been terrible and having been treated with condescension all evening by a barmaid who obviously had to believe that we were getting off the plane we unanimously made the decision not to leave him a tip. A first for each of us, that is to say. Later that evening we went back to the Epoxy and decided to try the experience again so as not to stay "angry" with one of our favorite bars. This waitress refused to serve us and we were kicked out! Oh, and contrary to what the staff at this bar in Quebec claims, tipping is not mandatory. Angry with this experience I wrote the following day a negative opinion on the Facebook page of this establishment. The boss then contacted me to discuss this unfortunate evening. After a brief explanation I made the decision to delete my negative opinion (which therefore remained online for less than 24 hours) and promised to come back soon for a drink since our conversation ended on a nice invitation from the owner of Epoxy ( attached a screenshot of our conversation). Yesterday evening, April 27, 2018, we returned at the beginning of the evening, to 5 (including 2 couples). It was my girlfriend's first outing in Montreal since her arrival and she will long remember this evening at Epoxy. We settle in and the boss comes to our table, makes us by the disagreement of her waitress to serve us (decidedly she makes a fixation) but, after a brief allusion to our Facebook conversation, decides to bring us the cards so that we can choose our consumption. She returned a few minutes later and, repeating to us that her waitress would have had a very bad experience with us and the boss decides this time not to serve us! Which is not very straightforward with what we had discussed it seems to me. Worst ! She begins to teach us a moral lesson with surreal condescension. Apparently my previous opinion, staying less than a day online remember, would have caused a drop in turnover and a loss of customers. We reach the heights of hypocrisy and ridicule. This charming lady then allows herself to ask us if one of us works in the world of bars / restaurants and, without even giving us time to respond, adds a "apparently not" ... which is awkward considering that there were 2 of us in our small group practicing the same profession, including me. Even if I consider in view of the questionable professionalism of a boss being dictated by a mediocre employee not to compare to her functioning to mine. I wonder since if this bar is reserved for people in the profession or if the fact of not sharing the same nationality is a problem. There is no point talking about taxes paid to the state to its customers, it is inappropriate. In addition, not being tourists, we also pay ours (and other taxes) as a resident of this country. It is worth pointing out. So I am really ashamed to have spent hundreds of dollars for years in this bar which does not respect its customers. Shame on her boss giving moral lessons to her customers at the request of an undrinkable waitress. Ashamed for believing in the good faith of this person via Facebook messaging. Being of the trade and therefore indirectly colleague I allow myself just to remind you, Madam, that a dissatisfied customer communicates much more than a satisfied customer. So 5 customers flouted and who feel insulted ... What a pub we will give you! (Original) La HONTE Il y a environ 2 mois (vers la mi-février 2018) nous avons passé la soirée dans ce bar ou nous avons nos habitudes depuis des années. Le service ayant été exécrable et ayant été traité avec condescendance toute la soirée par une barmaid qui devait de toute évidence croire que nous descendions de l'avion nous avons unanimement pris la décision de ne pas lui laissé de pourboire. Une première pour chacun de nous, c'est dire. Plus tard dans la soirée nous sommes repassé devant l'Epoxy et avons décidé de retenter l'expérience histoire de ne pas rester "faché" avec l'un de nos bar préféré. Cette serveuse a refusé de nous servir et nous avons été mis dehors ! Oh et contrairement à ce qu'affirme le personnel de ce bar au Québec le pourboire n'est pas obligatoire. Faché de cette expérience j'écrivis dés le lendemain un avis négatif sur la page Facebook de cet établissement. La patronne me contacta alors pour discuter de cette malencontreuse soirée. Après une brève explication je pris la décision de supprimer mon avis négatif (qui est donc resté en ligne moins de 24h) et promis de revenir prochainement boire un verre puisque notre conversation s'acheva sur une sympathique invitation de la patronne de l'Epoxy (ci-joint une capture d'écran de notre conversation). Hier soir, 27 avril 2018, nous sommes revenu en début de soirée, à 5 (dont 2 couples). C'était la première sortie de ma blonde à Montréal depuis son arrivée et elle se rappelera longtemps de cette soirée à l'Epoxy. Nous nous installons et la patronne vient à notre table, nous fait par du désaccord de sa serveuse de nous servir (décidemment elle fait une fixation) mais, après une brève allusion à notre conversation Facebook, décide de nous ramener les cartes afin que nous puissions choisir nos consommations. Elle revint quelques minutes plus tard et, nous répétant que sa serveuse aurait subit une très mauvaise expérience avec nouset la patronne décide cette fois-ci de ne pas nous servir ! Ce qui n'est déjà pas très réglo avec ce que nous avions discuté il me semble. Pire ! Elle se met à nous faire une leçon de moral avec une condescance surréaliste. Apparemment mon précédent avis, resté moins d'une journée en ligne rappelons le, aurait causé une baisse du chiffre d'affaire et une perte de clients. On atteint la des sommets d'hypocrisie et de ridicule. Cette charmante dame se permet ensuite de nous demander si l'un d'entre nous travaille dans le milieu des bars/restos et, sans même nous donner le temps de répondre, ajoute un "apparemment pas"... ce qui est maladroit vu que nous étions 2 dans notre petit groupe à pratiquer le même métier, dont moi. Même si j'estime au vu du professionalisme discutable d'une patronne se faisant dicter des ordres par une employée médiocre ne pas comparer à son fonctionnement au mien. Je me demande depuis si ce bar est réservé aux gens du métier ou si le fait de ne pas partager la même nationalité est un problème. Il est inutile de parler de taxes payés à l'Etat à ses clients, c'est déplacé. De plus, n'étant pas des touristes, nous payons également les notres (et autres impôts) en tant que résident de ce pays. Il est utile de le souligner. J'ai donc vraiment honte d'avoir dépensé des centaines de dollars depuis des années dans ce bar qui ne respecte pas sa clientèle. Honte pour sa patronne faisant des leçons de moral à ses clients à la demande d'une serveuse imbuvable. Honte d'avoir cru en la bonne foi de cette personne via messagerie Facebook. Etant du métier et donc indirectement collègue je me permets juste de vous rappeler, Madame, qu'un client insatisfait communique beaucoup plus qu'un client satisfait. Alors 5 clients bafoués et qui se sentent insulté... Quelle pub on va vous faire !

As dive bars go... This is a great little spot. There is food now that will actually blow your mind. Also a good selection of beer. I just went for the $2 taco Tuesday and was super happy with the choice and quality of food. Show up earlier rather than later to be sure you get the food you want. They do run out. ;) I really like the fact they have a few local brews on tap as well. Will defiantly be heading back. Super good spot next to place St Henri metro.

As we walked down a teared down street in St-Henri (typical Montreal summer construction landscape), I was thinking I'd never find a good place to calm my appetite. It was a Sunday afternoon and few places were open. As we walked past this pub, I went to Google Maps to check its reviews. Four+ stars, and the decision was an easy one. We went inside, chose a table and were greeted kindly by the waitress. A couple minutes later we ordered two beers and waited... And waited and waited some more. During this time, a man and a group of six walked in, and sat by the bar and at the table besides ours, respectively. They ordered and were served by the same and only waitress. All of a sudden we were invisible! Not wanting to be rude, we decided to give her some more time. Half an hour after entering the pub we left and no one batted an eye, as if the scene was all too common for them. I doubt we will be coming back.

What bothers me is that the owners could see that she was busy with their drinks and never greeted me or offered to answer me.
