Before the lounge opened the village was hitting a low as many of the city’s iconic queer spaces were closing down in turn. Since the Video Lounge opened, it has more often than not been busy and full of good energy. The music is always current when its supposed to be and not when its not. The staff has always been accommodating and the shows are usually fun! It is a great place to grab a drink if you’re new to town or even if you just want to take a break from work and isolation.

My friends and I were wandering St. Catherine and decided this bar was busy and could be fun. It was! Great drinks, reasonable prices, and there was a drag show!! It. Was. Awesome. Overall a lovely atmosphere and I will absolutely be returning next time I'm in Montreal.

We went during lunch time, so outside of the busiest time. The result was a relaxed place, some great food and a great atmosphere. The prices were decent and the portions tended to be smaller (which is fine with me because I can rarely gobble down the classic "restaurants portion"). All in all, it was a great place that I can recommend.

Stoped by for a beer in early evening, the barman was lovely. He was really nice, smiling, having fun. The music selection was really good too. It was a bit loud, but it's the style of the place. The inside as a great style too and beer was cheeper then expected around 5-6$ for a pint.

I didnt know this was one of the only places where you could make requests to the DJ...using your phone. Its a brilliant idea and a fun way for clients to interact with the space and have fun all at the same time. Drinks were good, service was decent, but you definitely need to bring your friends out if you plan to have a good time. It doesnt seem to get too packed so I think it could benefit from more customers.
