Traveled from Ottawa to check out the Brockville Speedway and we had a great time with the little ones! The kids enjoyed picking a car to cheer for! You can tell by the crowd, there is a lot of family support for the participants on the track. It was really nice to see their families cheering for them. My husband actually recognized a driver who works at the local Costco in Ottawa - wow, small world! Brockville still has that friendly small town feel to it, so if you're looking for something fun to do on a sunny summer day in the friendliest city, try this out! I have never been to the Speedway before and I have to say it was better than expected! My kids brought noise canceling headsets with them as I was worried about their little ears, and it really wasn't bad at all compared to a monster truck show. Bring a cushion for your butt. The seating in the stands can be quite uncomfortable after a period of time. You can buy food there, but I recommend bringing your own little snacks and a frozen water bottle to keep cool. Enjoy!

Make sure you have cash! We went there today with our family to watch the karts run. We sponsor a kart in the 5 - 8 Box Stock division. The Brockville track has been around as long as I can remember so we thought that they would have debit as a source to pay for tickets. No such luck. They do have ATM's, so we thought we were sure to get in. After talking to one of the track operators, (which turned out to be one of the owners), we were told the ATM was not open, (locked up in a building), owners don't have keys to there own buildings I guess. I asked if it would upset anyone if I went in to get some cash from someone and return to pay, immediately I was told, 'YES IT WOULD! You can drive out to the last Gas station, they have one!' We returned to our truck and were about to leave, when one of the kind gentleman race officials came over to us and took us to the office and arranged to have an 'etransfer' sent to one of the track owners,....hmmm seems pretty simple process to me. The gentleman that helped us was obviously 'old school' and understood how to provide good service to the customer. As far as the day went, we loved every second! The race officials run a very safe and tight operation. The kids racing will have memories forever! Will we be back....remains to be seen.

I stumbled upon this racetrack on a little motorcycle ride I was taking on the back roads I noticed there was some commotion happening and in my luck I have found a race track live racing at 7 p.m. concession snacks and Loud cars what more could you ask for it was a very cool experience I'm definitely going to go back with some friends bring safety goggles you'll see why
