Friend of mine recommended this restaurant. Buffalo chicken pizza and wachoes were great. Wings had signs of blood that was disappointing and restaurant took it back and offered replacement. Waitress were pushy and rushing to the order even though we were just there for 30 minutes with drinks appetizers and main meal. That was the only disappointment.

The pizza was delicious and had a variety of options including a few vegetarian ones. There was one pizza that had bechamel sauce that was quite heavy but the other pizzas were lighter. The meals came out quickly. The customer service and organization was very frustrating. We got multiple calls about our reservation claiming that we changed the reservation, we didn’t show up on time for our reservation, and they were trying to figure out if they could accommodate our group. We hadn’t made any changes to our reservation and it was frustrating that the staff tried to blame us for their error.

I'm quiet disappointed with them. I wanted to order take out on Sunday night. I called 13 times over the span of 30 minutes. And every single time it went straight to voicemail. I understand being busy, but all it takes is to pick up, say one minute, then put me on hold. . . . (post response) Thank you for your response. There in lies the problem. "I've had customers call 60 times." You brag like that is a good thing. Having paying customers go through such hoops. Name anything, let alone a restaurant, where you would sit there and call 60 times within 30 mins, where I could call literally any other restaurant and get a hold of someone on the first try. It seems like you are doing well, so it might be time to hire more staff, or invest in a better phone system.

All around great place! We had a girls lunch with our 2 young baby girls. They had high chairs and set it up for us before we got to the table. Such nice staff! We had the curd clusters for an app (no pic. Ate them too fast lol) they put mozza sticks to shame! My gosh! Pasta was awesome and the cblt and Cesar great! The root veg fries loved! My daughter loved them too!!

To combat the lost star by reviewer below - I love dogs but wouldn't want them around where I am eating. It's common sense not to allow at an eating establishment!!! For health reasons and the fact that some people are frightened by even the smallest dogs. Good policy. It's a shame the restaurant lost a star for something so ridiculous. Hoping they have the decency to remove the lower rating!

Came here for lunch during a recent trip; ordered their pizza, and it was excellent. Service was prompt and attentive. I have to say, this place has one of the cleanest restaurant washrooms I've ever see. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

It was average. Service and drinks were great, dessert was very good, but both our meals were average. I had the dill pickle pizza…barely any ranch drizzle. My boyfriend had roasted chicken with mac and cheese. The chicken was great, but we swear we couldn’t taste ANY cheese. He made me try it to see if I could taste it. No dice lol. After hearing a lot of hype about this place I was disappointed.

I called in for a reservation and was politely accommodated by Leah. Upon arrival, the service was friendly and our group of 7 were seated immediately. Our server was polite and patient with us as we navigated ordering two flights of beer and various food items. The beer and food selection was of amazing taste, quality and value for dollar paid. If you are in the area you definitely have to check it out. We can’t wait to go back!

Genuinely some of the worst food I’ve ever had in my entire life. Went here for lunch and was extremely disappointed. Service was average, noise level was too loud. Ordered the calamari as a starter and regretted it instantly. It tasted like chalk, the worst calamari I’ve ever had. The pasta lacked flavour. Do not recommend.

Can’t say enough about this place! First there COVID protocols are in place and made us feel safe as we venture out into normalcy! Now the real reason for this review, The food was amazing and way more than expected. Highly recommend the pizza ( Any pizza there all good ). Opening up Bricks and Barely was a brilliant idea for Virgil. This part of town was crying out for a casual place to eat. Even for those that are Downtown NOTL and looking for a bite off the strip, highly highly recommend. The atmosphere is really cool (A lot of old sports memorabilia), service was pretty good and the food was tasty. Highly recommend!

We have been here twice now and will keep coming! Not a single bad thing I can say in both visits here. They have a great menu, even an amazing gluten free one. My family and I visited here to celebrate my sisters birthday. Lots of great food options, and the portions are pretty good. The deep fried cheese curds were a table favourite. 3 of us split the dill-liciois pizza, and the watchos. Both were super good, and enough to fill us. We even had 2 slices left to take home. Not a large number of cocktail options, that was our only complaint. In all, we will definitely be back again to make our way through the menu!

I've been to Bricks & Barley twice since they opened and I've enjoyed it very much. The first time we were given a private room because we were celebrating a group event. The second time I just went for some pints with coworkers. In both situations the service was great and they have a lot of variety in their beer choices. I've had appetizers and pizza. Both were good, fairly priced, and arrived in good time. If you're looking for something a bit more sophisticated than a bar downtown, Bricks & Barley is a nice and informal option. Do keep in mind that it seems to be a busy place though.

We are from out of town and several people recommend this place for gluten free. In the city we live in, a restaurant might have one or two dishes that are GF, but when you open the menu at Bricks and Barley the options are unbelievable! So much so that I asked our waitress Maddie for help. She was awesome going through all the dishes and was really knowledgeable. I ended up with the wild mushroom pizza and it was the best GF pizza I have ever had. Great atmosphere, wonderful food and service ❤❤❤

Unfortunately, the pizza is very inconsistent; it depends on who you get cooking it, sometimes they forget (or don't care enough) to season it at the end. Then it sits on a rack randomly in the kitchen instead of them just handing it to you, causing unnecessary additional delay.

Disclaimer: I found the food to be amazing and the waitress kind (just need to be a bit more observant) I had a late lunch with my mother and aunt this afternoon, who are both seniors. My mother unfortunately experienced a reaction to her new diabetes medication and vomited at the table. No waitress noticed or came over to help until I got up went to the next room and asked for assistance on the patio. They waitresses were very helpful afterwards. The manager I believe (Caucasian man wearing a white shirt) came over to our table and had a very uncomfortable conversation with me privately after he stared at my family like we were vermin ( keep in mind we are all people of colour). He asked me if my mother was okay and quickly switched the topic to the fact that his "Only concern was the optics of the situation because of Covid". I completely understand that vomiting is a covid system but it is completely out of line and unprofessional to treat clients this way. Especially after I explained the situation thoroughly, underlined the fact that it was obviously not intentional and had just helped my mother clean her self up after an embarrassing incident. My main concern will always be my mother's health and not a business' bottom line. It is not my responsibility to ensure your restaurant looks like it upholds covid procedures. The lack of of empathy for seniors and basic communication skills is truly appalling . Please note that I did not ask for a discount nor did I complain because I didn't want to upset my mother who was already feeling embarrassed by what happened, but I just could not bear for this to happen to someone one else.

Everything I have had from this establishment is very good. Their menu is amazing and their staff is friendly. Pretty good prices for Niagara on the Lake. We had to ask for/add a lot of pepper and asked for some parm cheese. Would be nice if they offered it when they dropped off the food :) But overall everything else was great. My husband and I really wanted Bricks and Barley to become one of our new goto's, but unfortunately after our experience that won't be happening. While they have many good reviews - cold food seems to be a common complaint and not only was our food cold to the touch (only 10 minutes after it being ready) some of the items were stale and possibly even freezer burnt.

The "Wood fired" pizza is second to none, and the wide selection keeps you coming back to try em all.. I am not actually sure where all the good reviews come from.. Our experience was a delayed order, tables ordered after us and got their food before us (pizza also), no explanation for delay, no apology!! Beside the bad service experience, the pizza they claim worth the wait is not!! Salty stuff on top of a good crust.. Venato, Canadian and pepperoni pizzas had no different flavors, just salt!! Definitely not worth the wait as they claim.. Best thing was the cookie that came with the kids meal.. Below average pizza and not recommended.

We are visiting NOLA for a few days and ended up at Bricks & Barley. We didn’t have a reso on the holiday Monday when it was very busy, they got us in pretty quickly. We ordered by phone while on the wine tour... Took about 20 mins to reach them... The reception girl was pretty good, showed my son in law the order/pickup desk... Showed me round the patio to the washrooms... However, there was some screw up with our order and it took another 20-25 mins for our food to appear... Didn't appear to be too busy at the patio was maybe a quarter full. If they had indicated that orders were backlogged and would we like a drink while waiting.. Would have been nice...

Oh my gosh! The food here was delicious! We ordered way too much on our girls get-away - which was great because we had delicious leftovers. Great selection of local beers + sours. Thanks for the recommendations! We have most of the apps on the menu - highly recommend the loaded root vegetables, the calamari and the pickles. My buffalo chicken pizza was fantastic! Good service. Good ambiance. Great food!

Wonderful! Modern feel. Upscale pub with lots to choose from. Bring the kids, enjoy a date, or get together with friends - this place is perfect for it all. Every food has a twist to the traditional which makes it brand new. Not that big but space used well. You can expect it to get louder at peak times. The portion sizes are healthy. Manager came to check on us. Will definitely be coming back.

This was my first time here an wasn't crazy about this place but I also will try it one more time Had to make a reservation not an issue but what I had an issue was with the hostesses and not being allowed to move to an empty table so we didn't have to bake in direct sun. The patio was a little weak I thought with the tables and chairs no table clothes and the chairs could've use maybe a cushion. Plus the lack of salt and pepper on the table got me excited cause I thought the food was going to be perfectly seasoned (I had to ask for salt) I had started with the root fries which were good but definitely could've been cooked a little longer, some were still crunchy and could've used a little more sauce on them I ordered the fire roasted pizza prosciutto arugula was ok I felt the the dough was frozen and not fresh it was really tough to chew through. Not as bad as buying a frozen pizza from a grocery store but not far off Flavour was ok but could've used more seasoning to give it that kick to the next level Over all giving a 3 star review . I'll be going back to give it another go and try something else and hopefully have a better experience, but won't be for a while lots of other fire roasted pizza places out there to try first

Our sandwich was incredible... Shaved steak... Highly recommended. Our pizza was not good... Smoked meat (typically a favourite of mine). When the waitress came over to ask us how our meal was, we let her know. She said she had to charge us for it. I have never been to good restaurant that wouldn't comp or replace food that you didn't enjoy. Pretty frustrating to pay for a pizza you ate 1 piece of between 2 people. Not sure I'd go back as a result.

The hostess service was terrible. We walked in tonight and asked for a table of two, the host said that there was no tables till 9:30pm. After receiving this information we ordered takeout instead, we were really grateful for David squeezing us a pizza in. However, while waiting for our takeout another party of two came in without a reservation and they were seated. We spoke up about this and the hostess said nothing and then we overheard the host talking badly about us to her coworker. Very disrespectful.

Our Waitress was very knowledge about celiac disease and the need for avoiding cross contamination. She also made sure to ask about any other allergies when taking order. Before leaving to submit our order she confirmed that mine was due to celiac. I had a burger (no bun by choice) and cup of the soup of the day and it was delicious. They have quite an extensive GF menu (multiple pages). The menu does have a disclaimer that gluten free items are made in an area when gluten items are present and cannot guarantee that cross contamination will not occur. However, waitress stated that she would let kitchen staff know as they will clean grill/prep space before making my meal. Ii is hard to find restaurants that offer gluten-free options other than pasta let alone to find one that has staff that understand what celiac disease is and care about the allergy/special dietary needs of their customers. Everyone at our table was very happy with their lunch choices and said their dishes were delish! I highly recommend.

We have tried this place 3 times...pizza is under cooked, soggy in the middle. I think it is difficult to do a wood oven pizza when it is so busy. I think the dough is too warm when they put it in the oven. I have tried another dish...the stir fry...don't order this not enough veggies. You should describe it with rice as the first ingredient vs veggies it is misleading was sad.

Visited this restaurant July 17/21 after raving reviews from a neighbour about the Bricks Pizza. Unfortunately, they could not seat us at a table but it was getting late and were offered a bar setting so we jumped at the idea. We had the pizza (meat lovers - really good wood oven pizza), side salad (so awesome), soup (special of the day) and pounded back two Stellas. The service was amazing, The waitress Mel was very attentive. All around good vibe. The meals coming out from the kitchen were looking awesome. Nachos, Burgers. One point is that there was so many staff working great to see after re-opening they were really customer focused and on point with the service. Thanks for a great evening a more comfortable setting would have made this a perfect evening. Thanks and all the best we will be back.

Great patio, amazing indoor area, charcuterie I can recommend, reasonable wine bottles. Truly 5/5. Jaden, (we got lucky to have this mf gem of a server) had only worked there a week or so, but she absolutely crushed it; connected with us, gave amazing service, chatted just enough to make it a great birthday without over staying. Only improvement advice would be allowing customers to book a longer table time, 2 hours wasn't enough.

Amazing experience! They worked with my husband to arrange a table with a lovely centrepiece for my birthday. Our server, Tessa was phenomenal, she was attentive but didn’t crowd us, brought everything out very quickly, refilling our drinks as soon as they needed it. Food was delicious, the curd clusters blew my mind, and it was so nice to have gluten free options for more than just pasta (even though I got pasta anyways). Can’t wait to come back!!

Absolutely appalled at the customer service, a terrible first experience. I would not recommend making reservations for any special occasion. A disaster to start for my sisters birthday. Changed reservation plans without notice, separating guests. Originally reserved the private room. ......and then does not serve me for writing a bad review. Bricks & Barley is a great place! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is more laid back and chill than your typical sports bar, and the service is amazing. I had a margherita pizza, poutine and the lemonchadda cocktail and everything was incredible. The place itself is very modern and comfortable. Nice patio too. Servers were friendly and super on top of everything! Definitely recommend this place.

This place has everything you want! All of their pizza is cooked in a brick wood fire oven, they even have gluten free. They've also got a wide selection of craft beer and a great wine list. There is too many great things on the menu to mention. We went 3 times in the opening week and were never disappointed. Our toddler even enjoyed the kids pasta. They also offer take out and delivery.

Had one of the best experiences in while! The service and food was absolutely superb. We had the Wachos, Pepperoni Pizza, and Arugula-Prosciutto Pizza. The wachos were full of toppings and and not greesy at all, extreamly addicting and ate them all! The pizzas were full of flavor, especially the sauce! BEST pizza sauce I have ever had and it was cooked perfectly - the pizza cooks definetly can cook a great pizza! Our server was very friendly and attentive. Cleanliness was also notice, measures for covid were defintly taken. We will be making this our new favorite place!

Nailed it! Dont mind the wait, there will most likely be one...this place just opened a couple months ago and are jammed packed on a daily basis so go with patience. The atmosphere is pretty chill with a cool view of the restaurant from any seat. Food and drink were great but our server, who didn’t bother to introduce himself, ruined the experience. Didn’t initiate conversation, was unfriendly, didn’t ask if he could get us anything else. Only came to our table after we had to ask another server to bring us the bill. By the time he had come back, his coworker had already taken care of us. Nice patio with huge portions. Five stars to the wait staff. They are friendly and helpful. We ordered the harvest greens to start. It was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend. We also ordered the wild mushrooms pizza. This is a huge pizza, more than enough for two. It was good but not great. My advice is to get it without the mozzarella as it has goat cheese, and mozzarella makes it a bit heavy. We also ordered the Honey Ponzu stir fry, which was pretty unimpressive. Would not recommend the stir fry. Overall a good experience.

I was there Saturday June 26th for my Birthday. I ordered a Caesar to drink, the waitress brought it to our table and accidentally dropped it. It landed all over my legs and lap. The waitress was very apologetic. However when the bill came they didn't give us a discount or anything as a "sorry" . I asked if I could get a discount at least seeing as it was my Birthday and it did ruin my outfit. She said that she will ask her manager for a discount. She came back and said it wasn't possible for me to get a discount. I ended up just paying my bill but left feeling very disappointed. I also didn't find the pizza very good at all. And apparently that's what they specialize in. I must say the patio and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. That's the only reason I would give it a 2.

Very nice patio. We had 4 sangrias ( ok but not fabulous ) and 2 large craft beer and some cranberry juice for drinks. We enjoyed a gluten free charcuterie board and deep fried cheese curds. For a meal we had gluten free beef sandwich and 3 of us shared the buffalo chicken pizza and Caesar salad. Bill was $175 plus we left a large tip as it was very reasonable for 4 adults to dine in our opinion. Will be back !
