Awesome course
Great quality golf course, well maintained
This is my third visit to Wildstone. This is a great course and one of the best in the area. The staff is always friendly and professional.
Greens are tricky but great course.
Great staff amazing course!
Beautiful course! Great condition. Can't wait to come back!
Wonderful course with a beautiful view
Great layout in very good condition. Practice facility is fantastic. Pace of play was a little slow at 4:45. Clubhouse is lacking a bit. No true restaurant just a sort of concession. Staff was friendly.
Great course great conditions
I love this course. Mr. Player has created a very enjoyable track. The staff are great and the practice facility is awesome. Bring all your shots. You'll need them.
Opening day today going to be hot and busy.
Great course, greens are fast!
We have driven by this course several times on our travels to the Columbia -Kootenay District but just never had the time to stop and play nor have we heard much about the course, so there was no real draw to it. We knew it was designed by Gary Player and we expected it would have a certain level of quality, so when we drove up to the clubhouse we were taken aback. it is not much more that a trailer with a patio. But don't let that fool you. The golf course was phenomenal. They have everything a great course should have, wonderful conditioning, multiple tee boxes (women & junior friendly tees), elevation changes, rolling fairways, large challenging greens, well place bunkers and awesome views of the Purcell and Rocky Mountain ranges. This is a must play course and ranks only behind Trickle Creek (Kimberly) and Shadow Mountain as my personal favorites for the area, I would have given it a five stars except they clubhouse is disappointing. The staff was great and the food was really good. They have all kinds of deals going on all the time so call ahead and ask about what they may have going on that day.
This place is a gem. The course is in great shape. The views r beautiful. This is my 3rd favorite course in the Kooteney's.
Nice layout. Friendly staff!
Excellent track. Very playable and challenging. Excellent condition.
A great course but one needs to play there more than once to score efficiently. Greens are challenging.
This is a well-designed golf course but the greens are very hard to read but it's very challenging also
Played the course in early September and loved it. This is a great course with a great layout and beautiful views. While it may be frustrating for players that haven't played a mountain course before due to the difficulty reading greens I would highly recommend this course for anyone that wants to challenge their game.
I was excited to play wildstone yesterday the weather was great when we started . A freak storm came in as we finished 5 and played our tee shots on 6. Spent 45 minutes under a shelter waiting for it to pass. We tried to play on but the course was saturated and we felt that it would be best to finish so we would not damage the course as we were having to push carts to make it back . To our surprise no rain checks after 5 holes . This was not rain it was torrential rain and hail which made the course unplayable and for potential damage. What a joke hospitality zero . Word of mouth is the best advertising i will not recommended wildstone to any of my guest at my resort after this experience.
My favorite course in the East Kootaneys. Tee boxes were level and even, fairways were well maintained and greens true and fast. (some tricky pin placement of that caused me some anxious putts) I would definitely be there again.
Gary player's tip is alright but the course is excellent. Once they get a legit clubhouse then it will be perfect. Course is in immaculate condition. Greens are oversized but tricky. Fairways and teeboxes were in great shape
Fantastic course. It was in early season conditions but in great shape for opening week. It will be a solid 5 stars in a couple of weeks. Probably the nicest driving range I have ever been on.
This place is a wild place to get stoned
Course was in decent condition. Pretty open fairways
Great course in very nice conditions
Awesome Track and in wonderful shape, the forward yellow Tees make it enjoyable for beginners, keep up the good work guys ???? ????
Excellent conditions and equal staff to support!
Beautiful Course. Enjoyed my time.
Great course but no cart girl today
Must play bucket list course. We played them all here in Cranbrook/Kimberley region and this is top notch. Big difference in these courses out here. A couple have seemed to go backwards with maintaining their course and hospitality. Driver can be used on most holes here so let er rip. The tough part of this course is your approach to the greens. Greens are tougher than Chinese arithmetic. All putts roll to the South East. Staff are great. Starter was informative and pleasant. Beers were cold. We will be back.
Incredible practice facility. Awesome golf course!
Beautiful course. The views are amazing the ground are kept nice. Semi challenging course with five par 5s and five par 3s. Back to back 5s and back to back 3s.
Fantastic golf course!!!!!
Last Sunday April 23rd I played my first round here - also the first round of the year. I could not have been more impressed by the condition of the course for being so early on. The course is certainly challenging as well as fun. Every staff I encountered was smiling and helpful, from the proshop to the 10th hole concession to the young lady to fetch and load our power-cart. Although we travelled far, all the way from Calgary to play here, we will be returning players for sure.
Great course! Great price, beautiful shape. Crazy tough greens. Would definitely come back.
Our group of 4 travelled to Wildstone on July 26 and experienced a horrific hail storm on hole 6. We took cover for 45 mins until the storm passed. Afterwards, the course was completely unplayable. Standing water on all fairways, carts could hardly move. We decided to call it a day. Pro shop staff would not give rainchecks. Shocking! Emailed head pro, no response. Play Shadow Mountain, Trickle Creek, Bootleg Gap. Customer service and policies are rediculous at Wildstone. We won’t be back.
Just finished a 12 round 7 day golf vacation. While I enjoyed the course the customer service leaves something to be desired. No one to greet or unload our clubs at the bag drop, balls at the range are "extra". That's a first and the only one of the 12 courses we played to have that policy. No beverage cart on the course, even though the sign at the trailer said there was one, and no course tip book on the cart to top it off (found out about it after the round). No marshals or player assistants on the course. As much as I enjoy golf, I expect better service and amenities when I pay more than $100 for a round of golf. Would I play again? Maybe a afternoon or twilight but I wouldn't pay the full price.
Always in great shape. No clubhouse yet.
Back for 2021 and again my favourite track in Kimberley / Cranbrook area. Sneaky tough with a great layout! Greens were in amazing shape as always….can’t wait till my next round.
Excellent condition and very interesting layout.
Great course. Not the most challenging but really fun.
We were in the subdivision. ..not the golf course...it is beautiful! Makes you want to live there!
Best greens in the valley
Great course with some challenging holes
Course is in great condition. Greens ran true but were too fast for the amount of slope in them.
Awesome course a great selection of challenges. Be prepared to enjoy!
Absolutely love this track! Nice staff to boot!
This place ia beautiful.
Freinds and I travel to Cranbrook every year for a golf holiday. We booked a game here and got 6 holes and got rained and hailed out. No rain check offered. They said you can go and finish. I wouldn’t want anyone on the course after that storm. We were wet and cold and didn’t want to do anything after the wild storm. They won’t see us again
Beautiful course. In awesome shape. Very very fast greens. Be below the hole or you will run putts by the hole
A well maintained course . Love playing at Wildstone.
Group of 12 spent the weekend in Cranbrook playing multiple courses, and we unanimously agreed Wildstone was by far the best experience of the trip. Course is in perfect shape and can be very challenging, especially the greens. Surprisingly, our group scored better at Wildstone than any other course even with the added challenges! What really made Wildstone special was the staff and the service. They were extremely accommodating and polite the entire day. After we played 18 holes, they were able to squeeze all 12 of us in for an additional 9 holes so we could add more competition to our weekend event. Unfortunately as a group of 12 guys, the typical response towards your group is negative, even if you are avid golfers who know the rules and maintain the pace of play. This was not the case at Wildstone, as from the moment we arrived they treated us the same as any other paying customer there to enjoy a day on the course. I strongly suggest to any group large or small that you add Wildstone to your schedule for your next golf getaway!
Incredible course absolutely mint. Worth a look
Best course in the kootenays by far. A city course with country views. Tee boxes for every skill level and a great staff. Love this course.
Great golf course..best condition of all courses near Cranbrook/ Kimberly
Here is the mission of Wildstone... Mission: Focusing on superior hospitality and featuring an exceptional golf course in an impressive natural setting, Wildstone provides truly memorable golf experiences that guests enjoy repeatedly... They definitely have an exceptional golf course but completely miss on superior hospitality. On July 26, 2018 our group was caught in a hail storm on the 5th hole. After sitting in a rain shelter for 40 minutes we headed out to the course to try complete our round. The course was completely damaged and was unplayable. We decided to drive in and not ruin the course. We went to connect with staff about a “rain” check. Their answer was that we had played enough holes (5 holes played) based on their “policies” and would not refund or even return our passes. The staff were issuing many other refunds and actually laughed at us and told us to go back on the course and play. We would have damaged the course by going out. No staff member (player assistant) would have in their right mind allowed anyone on the course. But the pro shop answer was to go back out and play. I have had conversations with staff from Wildstone about our experience and they still want to stick by an obscure policy. They are trying to fix a problem by their lack of hospitality but have completely missed the mark. Even with an offer to try and fix the issue by now offering a 2-1 twilight pass the bad taste will not be forgotten. Very unfortunate.
It's reasonably new, well designed, and well kept. A great golf challenge. Love the greens. Consistent, quick, challenging and fair. Has an edge over St. Eugene Mission and Shadow Mountain. Needs a clubhouse. Great future ahead for Wildstone. You can buy a house next to the golf course.
Unbeatable views awesome course and staff. Early season first day open and the course is in great shape.
Great course and staff.
Great course and great service, super friendly pro shop and starter, really good experience
Good course, lotsa great views and service!!
Beauty gem of a golf course. From hole 1 to 18 it is a great golf experience
A must see course! Spectacular view and design, definately check It out if you're in the area.
Beautiful golf course, excellent condition, challenging greens ????
Another great new course in the Cranbrook area. The holes are beautiful and the greens are diabolical.
Scintillating.
Beautiful course!
Not only did the customer service leave something to be desired, there was no beverage cart or Marshall on the course. The group in front of us was beyond slow and there was no one to speed them up. After the 9th hole waited over 30 mins to tee off on 10. The price was right however don’t think I would return.
Great course very nice scenery all day. However they really need a restaurant and pub for after golf.
Beautiful golf course, you won't be disappointed.
Love it the views are great
Greens were fast and very difficult to read, come here if you want a challenge, on a well maintained course in a beautiful location. Only draw back would be clubhouse, they could use a new one.
Beautiful course, tough and a lot of tee boxes to choose from. They sell pass books that are a good value
Amazing
BEST COURSE IN KIM/CRAN From a pure golf perspective, this is the best course in Kimberley/Cranbrook based on a fun & engaging layout, superb conditioning, not to mention great value. Upon moving to the area, I made sure to explore the different golf courses before becoming a member anywhere. I chose Wildstone because it has a very fun layout (5 par fives, 5 par threes) where no two holes are alike. In addition to the layout, the conditioning of the course is amazing. The greens are always awesome, rolling relatively quick and true. The course provides a challenge to good players with multi-tiered greens and a lot of tricky green complexes. That said, the fairways are wide and nearly all greens provide novice golfers with the option to role the ball to the surface, making it playable. As the photos show, there are plenty of great views of the nearby Rocky Mountains. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating, adding to the experience whether you are at the course for a day or a full season. Yes, the clubhouse is a trailer but, as far as I know, they still serve cold domestics baby so don't sweat it. Ultimately, I was a member here for 3 years and can't say enough good things about the place. This course is legit and an absolute must play. -LM
Great coarse
One of my favorite courses to golf at Great views.
Great coarse with awesome views.
Wonderful facility for golf lessons, what a view, excellent condition, friendly staff very good quesadillas, thanks to Dave Joy,Ian Jamie Chris and Mike Baden and his staff
Love the Course, just the start of the season but you can tell it's a great staff.
We argued over 4 and 5 stars because the greens were sooo difficult! Course on great condition. Had a great round.
Very Nice course. Need clubhouse.
Beautiful course and range
was a beautiful day if I do say so. Lost of challenge appeal
Great people
Beautiful course, one of my favorite courses
Nice course. A lot of construction going on next to a few of the fairways
A great golf couse. It has a nice layout. Bunkers and greens are challenging but fair. Pace of play can be an issue. Wildstone posts 4.5 hours as pace of play. Too long. Should be 4. We have played 3.5 hour rounds there but also 5 hour rounds. 3.5 to 4 hours is golf. 4.5 to 5 is work. Tough to stay interested when you wait on every shot. All in all a great course.
Driving range went well!!
Great course
Fun golf course with some great views. The course was in great shape and it was a great price as well. Highly recommended
One of the most picturesque golf courses anywhere.
Great time ... great shape ... is this October?
Woo-hoo. Great track. A few houses to avoid on some holes, but the fairway is wide open. 2nd shot is a premium to find the green.
Great place
Wildstone Golf Course is the first Black Knight Design by Gary Player Design in Canada. Set on the rolling highlands above Cranbrook, BC, Wildstone exposes stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. From start to finish Wildstone is a well-rated tree-lined parkland layout, located in a forested setting in Cranbrook.
Great course, amazing condition, interesting shots, great price. Absolutely going to be coming back. Folks who work at the course were exceptionally friendly and informative. Hats off to Ron at the first tee and his great food recommendation in Cranbrook.
Loved the layout and course conditions were perfect.
Great golf course in very good condition. Visiting family from England . Fantastic staff. Would love to play again if we had the time!
Joy that works front desk pro shop is a very ill mannered person! I am not sure why her name is Joy because she is everything but that! She was so rude it pretty much ruined the first few holes of my game! Too bad because it isn’t a cheap course and nobody should have to deal with someone like that! Course was beautiful but her attitude alone made me never any to go back!
We have a place in BC and we are a short drive from any of the area golf courses. After playing most of the course over several years my first choice is Wildstone. The layout and conditions are always first rate. The views are spectacular. Can't wait for the weekend at Wildstone!
Great course
Had a great first round at Wildstone Golf Course on a beautiful sunny Friday! Reasonable early season rates and greens are in good shape.
Great trax
Wild stone was a pleasant place to play. I would go back for sure.
Great layout and condition
The service is great. They are very accommodating
Beautiful course. Probably the nicest view of ANY driving range anywhere. Great value.
Best course in east kootenay. White silica sand. Great design.
Greens were fantastic and in great shape
Great early season conditions
Simply stunning
Ridiculous set up to golf! No real pro shop staff super friendly though
