Nice ambient, can be loud (little kids noise, who are allowed until 8pm), live, local musician performances. Good bar seating. Wafer fries is a must try.

The stemwinder is great, live music every weekend, great food and decent selection of beer on tap. Can get busy, and at times standing room only, but the staff are great, and service is quick most days. A great place to warm up and they serve STOKE fireside juice this year (the best!) We got an order of waffle fries and regular fries this time, it was almost too much, we were so full after! Delicious.

Great bar staff, fresh food. Good place to head to after a day on the hill. Doesn't stay open past 6:00 PM though. Could be a bummer on the weekends.

The nachos are a great deal. It's a busy standard ski pub. Adequate selection of beers. Servers were generally good (ie above the average by quite a bit).

Waited an hour and a half for our food before the waitress offered our drink bill and asked if we were finished. Our food was delivered soon after and our fries and drinks were offered to be covered in recompense, in addition another free drink. When the bill finally arrived, fries and 2 pops were waived while we were charged for the "free drinks" resulting in an additional $23 in charge. When we arrived it was 1:30, the final bill was brought out at 3:40. More time was wasted arguing when the manager refused to honour the free drinks and adjust the bill. The last lift closed at 4 effectively costing us a half day.

Very friendly servers and their servings are huge! We wanted an appie to share between the three of us and we could barely finish it, even after more people joined our party later on. The fries were amazing though, would go back to Kimberley for it!

Excellent service and food at a private function. It is obvious to me that the team at Stemwinder is expertly equipped and professionally trained to accommodate corporate events and group functions. The prime rib is an absolute must.

Horrible service we reserved the table next to us for new years lunch and then they sat someone else there. No apology just well we will seat the elsewhere. As a red seal chef I would have fired the front end manager over it. Food was very sub par and over priced service was horrible and slow. Left no tip and this review. Avoid this place at all costs!!! I would give 0 stars if I could.

Easily the worst on hill location i have ever had the misfortune of going to. Horrible, attitude filled service that took over 1.5 hours to get us a simple pizza. To top it off they refused to remove a drink charge that we didnt order. Seriously do not recommend this establishment, if you are looking for food either go to the Montanas across from it or the cafeteria downstairs. Do yourself a favor and do not give this place business.

Very affordable for a slopeside bar. Good menu with the daily Soup and a Sandwich bring the best value. Friendly staff who keep the beers rolling even when busy.

Nice food, but you should stop harassing customers. I stayed 1 h 30 hour and the waitress came 7 times asking for more food or drinks.

Very rude staff. If this is the only option for food at the hill KAR is going to offer then reconsidering the people you have representing you is strongly recommended. Also food took over an hour to be served, which with a large line of people waiting is unacceptable for a restaurant.
